I thought about how to respond to this comment, because it really made me sad to read. Ppl are struggling to stay positive, both IRL and in game. The whole purpose of this thread was to share levity and laughter within the community. But you're insulting the ppl in this thread, so why are you here? I haven't looked at any statistics to be able to make a judgement about the state of affairs regarding how many people are playing the game, but it sure wouldn't surprise me to see any trend of rapid turnover in playerbase because of how frustrating this game can be and how that issue isn't being deeply addressed.
Ever since the rift released, I've kept in mind the predatory nature of all the pop ups and text forced on the player constantly reminding that the rift exists and will be gone soon (preying on fomo). I honestly think having only one game like this in a somewhat niche genre (horror) as a lifeline for an entire company is bad for both the benefit of the game and the aspirations of a company like BHVR, because while this company will always want more mainstream, more people, more engagement, more money, the game will not move away from needing tender care and an insightful eye on how its original design philosophy should be interpreted for today's horror fans.

The main issue is people think oh If I don't support it doesn't matter...it totally does people unless we make a stand things won't improve ps4 is in a terrible state right now I've lost my temper a few times tbh ill probably get banedd for insuring people don't fund bhrv. I am have been wholesome for a reason people do not understand I don't wish to be banned I hope my wholesome attitude respect will save me but love for the game improvements will speak for itself. And I honour those that stand with me!
Why I'm careful here on what I say or what I do but I do all I can to not support bhrv till I see an actual support in console players ability play the game.
As for advents I doubt bhrv will ever return to the game changes as to many complaints and frustration plus to many people will pay to get. We accept the back pedal and saulte them when issues still remain. 😭🐷
It's a broken system broken game but not enough people stand up.. Its a mess and if I'm banned I'm banned 🐷💖 (Kind tried of being held back on what I say tbh)

I've Been encoraging them not to tunnel or face camp and not to disconnect because apparently some of the toxic survivors are also xbox players and have told them to just dc next time and even said if you face camped me you would have killed me haha.
I'm suggesting videos on how to deal with this right now and gonna try a custom match with them
Just to let you know the tutorial isn't helpful even myself has face camped back in the day when I was new jesus I was a terror I used to snack survivors on the hook thinking that would make them due faster lol honestly it's not new players fault god bless them they deal with alot tbh.

End of the game I see our line up and that the killer was also an Xbox player so I sent them a message just saying how sorry I was and its not always like that and I get a message saying they are new and really want to play killer but out of the 10 games they have played 6 have been like this.
I'm trying to encourage them to stay, but apparently wait times without cross play are a joke and the last few killers I've befriended who "took a break" haven't come back. I play other games with them now.
I don't want this person to quit, we need more killers in this game, what advice can I give them?
And this isn't a case of just get good, their new, so please leave that out. Thanks
All you can do is be respective towards the person playing the killer role my friend be the diffence you want to see.
Also I saulte you for seeing these actions and understanding how messed up it is no new killer should undure red ranks. Its unfair borderline unhealthy will twist their view point either they will meet it with horrible attitude or scummy play and I don't blame them.

No no you have not the only reason why bhrv is doing this Is because they are losing people fast they need people logging in and playing.
To be honest I got a bad taste in my mouth when they deleted the console frame rate thread. I knew what I deeply feared that this company is no longer the bhrv that once was.
But it doesn't matter only a handful of us won't or haven't been buying skins and more shady things will still go on.
So it is what it is until another game can offer what dbd does they know people will forgive forger and buy.
I have been for while not supporting bhrv with any buying of cosmetics and dlcs. I used to have so much faith things would turn around defended bhvr as well but Sadly that has gone.

I'm on 8.0 and I played a few survivor games to test, frame rate is very low on both old and reworked maps especially at the start of the match and it regularly drops even lower - I died on second hook every time due to frame droping while I'm struggling unless I was rescued instantly
You should try nurse actually don't lol its horrible I retried for 2 matches one as nurse one as piggy and oh my it was just a nightmare frame wise and had a huge headache afterwards lucky I have eso to enjoy 🐷💖
edit to say all I want to do is the rift challenges but yeah that's a big fat no.

Isn't everyone already on the 8.0 update? The update was required for online play and this game is online play only. So every ps4 player experiencing issues are already updated to the latest software because if they weren't they wouldn't be able to play.

As a pig main this does not surprise me tbh but a little thing to note is that I have experienced after a good boop session survivors will stay in the match to die to the egc to honour the boops. This happens alot to me personally its very sweet.

I just chill on the entitys left hand stream on the regular I don't think he's doing the codes don't really care I really enjoy spending time with him and the court *praise* 🙌
It's a bad system I'm lucky I don't really care as a console player my game is unplayable thanks to the update.
It's OK I wouldn't worry to much the game will bug out people will loose the charm and we will all be given it at some point. Just like past advent exclusives lol I thought they was not doing any more exclusives anyway?!?

Huge frame stuttering on the game new trapper map, corn sadess map, sheltered forest. Playing suriviour so far really don't wish to try killer.
Plus can't enjoy Halloween cosmetics as they make things 10 times worse.

I have also been feeling very bored disinterested I used to play everyday now I like jump on once a week and even that seems like a chore at this point.
I really wish they would add some new machinics or change up the objectives something. Suriviour is hella boring tbh.
I really hope they start looking at changing the game rather than hoping new dlc keeps people entertained for a week or so.
Definitely getting repeative and boring.
I wish you fun and enjoyment in other games tho! 🐷💖

It's a killer based game, and way killer sided. I'm a killer main that enjoys playing survivivor, and killer perks are way stronger, and more effective. Sure it's 4 vs. 1, but the perks even that out. Look how many aura reading perks a killer has, and finding survivivors is a key objective made easy using them. Mori's are so strong, and unfair that I never use them. I know that's an offering, but you get my point.
So what do you want a killer like Micheal to hug and kiss you I don't get this thing and I play both sides equally you know what happens when I'm moried I say gg and move onto the next match camped tunneled gg I get why killers do what they do because I've seen upmost survioirs just not giving a god damn.
Horror in this game is a suriviour that has an ifinate amount of chances not the horror icon I'm playing.

Thing is tho even tho Mr almo has made himself look stupid with his replys this effects low tier killers or slow moving killers to use pop hear me out.
This change will not effect the best killers but on hag pig huntress ghostface this will be felt hard. To be fair I feel multiple pops is needed on certain killers not all. But we don't think about all killers we think about those uptier killers that really don't need to use pop looking at you oni spirit and possibly Billy's and blight. You have movement speed you have all that jazz.
To be honest I'm a pig main I never tunnel or be toxic use ######### play style but in regards to ds discussions on this I'm d striked every match and it ######### hurts and I actively don't try to tunnel or be horrible. Just saying 🙌🐷

So I really had to apologise after a game to a lovely dweet I felt so bad about it and I was trying to be so cute in my own way.
So as pig I get booped and if someone is being highly adorable I often save a helmet to give to them before they leave the game. As a thank you here's a special hat to take with you thing. Weird I know lol but that's how I am lol
So all gens was done being heavily booped at the exit by this wonderful dweet so I down him put on his happiness hat. This is where confusion hits he didn't know it wouldn't hurt him as I let him wiggle out he just stood there shaking his head all like no why piggy Wwhhhyy??!!
I had to carry him out and apologise and explain they are harmless after the gens are completed and was a gift for his beautiful boops.
It was a weird moment but he seemed cool about it just scared him I felt so horrible and toxic but I was just being so nice lol

I say give her the add on to make dashes more lethal.. Say your in mid dash as haunted ground gets cleansed your screwed out of a down.
Not to mention unevering presence doesn't work on pig boxes why this was a change that made skill check piggy weak I'll never known the logic being that.
These are unique builds I would like to work.. Unnerving plus razor wires plus into locking a add on that requires you using a perk to make it actually work but doesn't because it does not effect piggy boxes.
My soul desire is to make Amanda actually be Amanda she made the game unwinnable give her that ability even if it's ultra rare.
The fact that Amanda is a giant meme is upsetting. She never payed by the rules..

Jokes yeah add on rework please but please don't effect how she plays with cool downs etc and actually make her head traps scary!

The hotfix Tuesday allows me to start the game, and no more overheats so far. I havent played yet due to job, but plan to on Sat. They did answer my Optimization entry here in the forums saying that patch should fix it. We shall see about the rest...

I come with sad news Holy crist the frame rate issues with demo was not fun. Not only that I teleported through pallets that should of stunned me of course I was noble and let the poor suriviors this happened to wiggle out. Poor demo he really has issues.

Badham pree school crossplay disabled playing the Doctor frame drop issues when braking pallets but apart from it nothing that bad surprised to say the least. Do not have an offing for the other map tho on doc

Match as Micheal on dead dog saloon ps4 Cross play disabled tier 3 bugged out Micheal was holding the knife right up to the side of his face was hella weird bug.
Issues losing progress on stalk would be a delay in stalk also play with your food stacks would also be delayed.

Would like to add I can only speculate but had a game against a myers on asylum and he seemed to have issues regarding hooking us. I was in swf with one person and the myers would try to hook us but pause to drop us then pick us up to hook us.
I have no idea what the issue was as the myers had his messages block so could not ask them. Was very weird to say the least.
This was on ps4 Cross play was not active.
I can see the devs response seems very strange in regards to our issues and can only guess that is the reason why posts in this topic have slowed.
People probably feel frustrated in regards to the response to our console issues or maybe things have improved.
I hopefully will get time tonight and tomorrow to see if I see what issues I find post them to this thread and make bug reports.
Will keep posting in hopes we can get some improvements all I can think to do.

That's what I was afraid of. I've thought about trying the blight but it gives me too much anxiety since I'm rank 1 right now. I think I'll wait for rank reset in two days and hope I get a little more chill survivors.
I've only had two matches in the new preschool against a clown and nurse. The nurse seemed to have problems to blink in some parts of the map, it seemed like there could be invisible parts where the nurse would get stuck on if she tries to do a short blink. I have to wait to play more matches on the new maps and analyze more of the performance. Old maps though are still trash, just like you said.
I have played the preschool freddys new map twice as nurse and was very happy to see that I had no issues regarding frames. I am actually going to try out demo and doctor on the new maps and will come back with my findings.
I was playing my girl piggy on the asylum map and I hit blood lust one while chasing around the building my game stuttered and frames dropped hugely with the new effect that happens when you hit blood lust.
I have played survivor and feel the same issues with frame drops with status effects being applied are still there.
I am yet to catch the Q & A but seems like from what your saying that's not good.

Edit to say.. My nurse game on bad pre school I couldn't blink down at the small house with the truck and found other dead zones but to be fair I suck at nurse so could of been just me lol

I think it's possible but fair amount of pig players do not respect the boop or humour it.
I can see why because of how badly she was nerfed and is very difficult to achieve constant good results with her as well as master her.
The Boop is a shadow Nerf players don't really think of it like that tho. It's a huge meme I doubt anyone cares about how pig mains feel about it.
Even still I will always humour boops and play along to much toxicity and boops just make me laugh!

Alot if us was polite and respectful but that was not noticed. To say they will delete any topic about the subject did not sit well with me personally and it totally shook the hornets nest also.
We just wasn't support on a game we love and enjoy and to be able to play with out such heavy disadvantages.
I have bought so much that I can not enjoy also not anymore and I was heavily doing so because I believed in supporting bhrv in hopes they would improve things.

Darn you Lery's!! I find the center room the biggest problem for either role, but killing on this map is sooooo fustrating. And I swear whenever I roll out my Piggy and i get Lery's (with or without offering) there usually seems to be a fog offering too, and this combo makes my Xbox want to throw itself down a well...
That is the first time I played it as survivor and saw it in such a state it seems to be getting worse. The piggy I was versing I think was pc so hopefully it wasn't horrible for her as it was for us.
This is kinda good news tho so far frame rate issues seem to be heavily be effecting killers more so but from what I witness we could be seeing more posts from surviour mains coming forward with complaints.
Not that I wish bad times on anyone just more voices speaking up the better.
@A_Can_Of_Air if you could be so kind as to share your experience coming from pc to console here we would very muchly appreciate it.

So an update from myself I took apart my ps4 gave it a clean. It no longer sounded like a jet engine while the game loaded up or while playing.so that's good.
Unfortunately while playing surivior we got lerys and it was still really bad frame rate wise which I was super sad about as was against a Amanda's letter piggy.
Skill checks was super weird like stuttery. I was getting huge frame drops when I used lithe after vaulting a window. I had a green 70 ping also.
So sad to say cleaning out my ps4 did nothing to help apart from the noise my ps4 makes while playing dbd.
Clearly this wasn't an enjoyable experience for myself and my friend I was playing with.
I really don't understand we both was discussing that the new lerys when first came to console never felt this bad. It's very noticeable the frames on that map compared to others.
