I read a few pages back about experiencing freezes and drops while navigating the game menues, which I hadn't really tried myself as I spend little time in them. On my Xbox1 it either goes very slow or outright freezes thenever I swap between killers their roster page. I can't remember if there was a pause like that when changing killer in a lobby before they got locked. I also drop frames heavily in pretty much any part of the store. especially playing around with cosmetics. I will experiment more later on.
Just watch the fog on the loading its very noticeable the freezing have no idea what it's like for xbox 1 but my PlayStation sounds like a jet engine during the load screen also.
I did watch a YouTube video on how to clean out your ps4 the guy doing said that dust etc can cause frame drops and stuttering so going to clean out my ps4 at the weekend.
Also I was watching a streamer who plays dbd regularly on pc and he even said that dbd is really badly optimised for pc. So it's not just us but we have it worse.
Will let you know if I see any improvements! good luck with your experiments tho. Unsure if your playing cross play if so I truly hope to see you in the fog.

Unfortunately we have alot of very upset console users here and rightly so the game is running poorly ruining our enjoyment of the game.
I have a feeling that the question in the Q and A will not be answered as it will fall into the "topics that can not be answered" but let us hope. Please upvote regardless tho I have done so.
I am deeply sorry if any of my posts went towards closing the original thread.
We just are so desperate for an answer but please remain and polite respectful as you can and stick to the forum rules.

I just really don't understand why any other posts talking about the console frame rate issue will be closed tho?!?
I for one know I added a few comments that wasn't on topic to that thread. But always tried to add any issues I came across as well.
If anything it's made me more aware to stick to the subject fully 100%.
I do feel slightly uncomfortable with how this was handled I'm not going to lie.
I didn't see any drama just a few really angry people that clearly was unhappy by the way console players where being treated.

I mean,that thread was just really exposed through its popularity.
There were a lot of people being off topic and just bumping the thread.
Some of them even intentionally tried to make some drama by threatening with lawsuits and other silly stuff.
This is true but I do feel that alot of people in that thread was trying to talk about frame rate issues or discussing ways to possibly stop such bad frame rates (removing hook charms)
I woke up to see it gone and am deeply sadden as I was very active in that thread also this thread will also likely to be removed also.

@Fattyclown make survivors scream 45 times did it with Clown in one match thank you my guy much love I had fun as clown. Admittedly tho 2 of them got stuck on a hill and I had to play ( life guard Clown swimwear for Clown when plus bay watch sound track)
But I could see frame rate issues with the gas tho wasn't lag either nice green ping of 40 for me no blight no hook charms on auto haven wreckers.

Actually PC (though for 2 years it was a 9fps machine that froze whenever someone fell asleep, then for half a year up to 14fps, now I can run a smooth 60 since June), but I empathise with console players & I played on Switch for like, a long ass time too.
That's cool thank you for giving switch support I think I read somewhere that you stream? might of been wrong let me know what things you do I personally would love to give you some support.
Definitely want to double down on the xbox ps4 switch we are all dealing with these issues support each other forget the console wars we all suffer the same stay together stay heard 🐖

Yeah basically every blight skin affects the fps (least it did when I played on Switch).

I have no idea how bad it is for our switchys compared to ps4 would like to know tho, we all deserve support equally.

I use these 2 builds regularly. I used to dislike Surge, but I have found that it often helps me to have extra time to use Pop if a Survivor works on a generator or to continue a chase without kicking the generator
The Trash Funny Build: Courlophobia, Sloppy, Infectious Fright, STBFL or Knockout.
A build whose sole purpose is to mess around :D

Cool, I'll check this Michi fellow out. I try to keep my traps semi equal between tiles and pathways. Pathway to start chase, tile to end it. Hopefully michi has some new tricks I can pick up.
Give space coconut a watch on YouTube also pop by his streams in sure he would be more than happy to talk over any questions you may have.
Hag is a defensive killer I enjoy getting three gens and laughing evily as they try to do anything with out me knowing about it and killing them off for it.
Good luck with Hag she's very strong but will require alot of time spent learning her strengths and weaknesses.

I wonder if pc players start getting slight frame rate issues I mean we saw it happening on the PTB. I wonder how quickly it will be fixed or devs will respond to their threads when they start up.
In no way am I being rude I'm very happy that we got mandy and pat actually saying something but still it's not saying anything at the same time.
I will be waiting watching and ready to go hard in the paint when needed. Oh you think I'm active on this now oh boy lol

I feel like the only pig main that just wants her to be left alone?
Some add on tweeks would be nice but out of fear of some god awful slow down cool down token based change because yeah that's what happens now.
I'd just rather her stay untouched out of fear that they would really make her worse somehow.

I personally saw no difference in my frame rate issues it seemed worse on opt in because pc users don't have the same issue currently. This puts you at a major disavange not matter what role you play.

As it does not seem to change my current slide show situation I will re equip it and drill in your honour! I have tried everything suggested here still getting major frame rate hick ups.
Was just on the hook as survivor and I got frame rated out of struggle because someone else was hooked so that's fun lol

I always feel bad when I know a killer missed me because frames definitely dropped for them. There are definitely some bs hits I take as survivor that make up for it (especially now with hit validation) but it definitely feels bad to whiff and know it was the frames.

Toss in fog offerings and it is just about unplayable. I haven't seen so many used until lately, like survs know...

I have been playing more survivor run into the odd weird frame rate here and there.But I miss my boops so very much please bhrv fix our game.

One thing i'm surprised at is that with the combined viewer count on PS4 (dunno much about XB), that the devs still haven't spoken that much about it.
We have red boy, showstopper, swarm7, TUR in general, fnord etc.
Crazy is a boss love his attitude love to see he got fog whisper but he knows full well the issue also does Vincent vega I'm sure they have raised the issue so I'm guessing we just have to buy a ps5 guys if we want good games lol

Pat did comment to say the devs are aware of this thread. I am starting to think they don't care tbh they know how bad the frame rate is already but still pushing with new improved graphics which I'm sure is only going to make our issues worse.
Just have to see after the ptb how bad its going to be.

The problem tho is that from my experience I'm on ps4 alot of surviours have been running actually to the hills to get stuck. I had a few games where a survivor actually got stuck so I helped them out and didn't hook them and carried on with the game.
Next thing I know I see everyone all over on the hill acting like oh we got stuck it was really annoying and really disrespectful.
I was being a good sport but they took my good intentions as a sign as oh well we can do this and you have to let us go.
I honestly let them go a few times but it was blatant that they was taking the micky out of my kindness.

@Cancan71 I would offer you some bandages for your Wraith but he was plenty as it is. Can not even begin to imagine how the frame rates are like on switch compared to ps4. I can how ever offer you happiness boops to hopefully help you during this dark time.

Does anyone know if our frame rates effect pc player at all.. Really that's our only hope to be honest here as much as I don't wish bad on pc players I just want better frames.

I have no idea what it's like for you guys on the switch we get alot of 360s on ps4 best way I found to counter it is to back up alittle or try to 360 yourself into there 360 it's hard but with practice I'm sure you can adapt!
But yeah frame rates are such a factor to do with this issue tho so don't be to hard on yourself for something completely out of your control.

I am a friendly killer and I'm very proud of my friendly ways. I am deeply sad to see you do not enjoy these types of games.
I really try my up most to provide the most fun game I can possible for those in my trails. I have never really cared about kills or ranks or much about anything really just having fun!
I like to provide a sense of dread but with utter fairness no camp no tunnel no helmet blocking etc.
Just things I personally dislike as a survivor I don't do to others.
I will take my kills but like to give respect to those I feel have played really well or billy box has speared.
Sometimes I just let everyone go because why not lol normally ends in a massive boop party and alot of fun had by all.
I play both sides and honestly it's ruff out there I just want to provide a brake from all of that and do things differently.
