Well if you want to win what is acceptable way for survivors. Spread some hooks don't camp/tunnel 5 gens still left. Tunnel only when you really have to most survivors should understand ofcourse some will complain even if you 2 hook everyone before killing.
No, tunneling will never be understood by Survivor Mains.

Reduce the XP boost and I'm in, for the moment the boost is so big that everyone will just take the 100% EXP perk combo for fast leveling up.

I don’t mind her tbh. M1 chases are fun and longer match equals more bloodpoints (still don’t like it past 40 minutes though)
Plus hacking drones is fun
Hacking drones isn't interesting for the moment, they'll just come back everytime the SM come back at the Generator.
They should be limited in numbers.

I have doubts about you encountering cheaters so often you want them to disappear by blocking all of them.

Show us how you win 20 games in a row with, for exemple, Wesker or Clown, without camping and tunneling (and no broken addons). Just record it and show us, i'm curious to see your skill :)
You are a toxic guy coming on threads just to spam "skill issue". Are you a 12 years old child ?
You won't ever see that, they always bring addons because they know what the truth is.

Really?
Since this patch I have seen like 4-5 posts and lot of comments saying how slugging is too rampant and something should be done about it.
Camping/tunneling is basic complain package.
Slugging/3-gen is added for deluxe complain package.
What is the limited/ultimate edition?

Or better yet, "Tell me who I can blame for EVERYTHING when I lose".
These people go into every game thinking "If I don't win it's because my teammates were crap or killers are OP" and they are the most toxic ones. They're the ones who suicide on hook the second someone didn't play the exact way they wanted them too. Squirters.
Exactly.

Definitely need a better way to gauge the team skill level before readying up. Prestige levels are sometimes a decent indicator but your devotion level would be way more useful indeterminate play time. This is clearly the best behavior can do with the matchmaking or they would've been change it. So why not let the survivors be able to vet their team more effectively. If u level 20 devotion I'll at least know u around 4000 hours and i can have more confidence going into the match. Every time i see a lobby of prestige level ones i think "f**k this".

And Tier 3 Myers should be able to mori people in gens/lockers.

The only thing they should change is making pirating the drones harder, in exchange she cannot get them back.

There's not even an acceptable way for a killer to lose. Yesterday the survivors burned a BPS and I let them do gens while I farmed zombies as Nemesis, and two of the survivors (including the one who burned the BPS) saw me killing the zombies and disconnected.
It's not even about balance. The problem is that every player is different, every player wants something different from a match, and the matchmaking system isn't intelligent enough to put people with complementary playstyles together. So no one's happy.
I am happy no matter the Killer I face, only the abusers Survivors makes me frustrated.

Holding the game hostage for killer is very clearly explained in multiple places by Peanits.
Doctor not hitting anyone but just causing madness level 3 is actually holding the game hostage. Hitting people every now and then is not because you are advancing the goal. Comming to chases trying for a hit also counts as trying to achieve the goal.
Look it up and you will see I am correct.
I don't even know if u are correct or not, I just said Survivors are always bad.

I just had a game with a Jane and a Claudette hiding in the basement the entire game. They didn't touch any gens or unhooked & healed the Nea & I. Eventually we both died bc well you can't win a 2v1 at 5 gens. The other two stayed into the basement while the killer ran around for a good five minutes before checking every locker in the basement and finding them.
If there's two survivors left who do absolutely nothing, the killer is literally stuck in the game and can't do anything (if it's just 1 survivor they can shut the hatch and force the endgame).
Refusing to advance the game is taking the game hostage, and should absolutely be reportable.
Ah yes I see.

"Hey everyone, I wanted to share an experience I had in a recent game and get your thoughts on who was at fault here."
"I personally think it's the killer's fault for holding the game hostage"
Holding the game hostage is when the killer physically blocks a player and does not attack them. It is also when survivors refuse to save players , heal or touch generators. These are deliberate choices where neither side is actively trying to progress the game.
This might shock you to learn but survivors who do not complete their objectives for an extended period of time are actually holding the game hostage.
If the killer is actively chasing people and knocking them down without hooking then they are 100% NOT holding the game hostage. You might feel that way but knocking someone to the floor will eventually end that player after four minutes.
Exactly, Killers Mains are never faulty unlike Survivors Mains.

I understand where you're coming from regarding the distribution of hook states among the survivors. In the specific game I mentioned, the killer was very much tunneling and focusing on one survivor early on. Me and the other unhooked survivor were indeed visible, but the killer chose not to chase us. It was a unique situation where we couldn't do much to help our fellow survivor since the killer was determined to get a 4K.
I agree that in most cases, survivors should do their best to share hook states and help each other out. However, in this particular instance, the killer's behavior was the primary reason the game unfolded the way it did, and we had very little control over that.
It's essential to remember that each match is different, and sometimes the killer's playstyle can heavily impact the survivors' options. In this case, I believe the blame should not fall on the survivors but on the killer for deliberately dragging the game out and tunneling.
You always have to adapt to your serial Killer, it's his trial, his rules.
If you beat him by his own rules, it means that you and your team are great survivors, else... well sad.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/373826/2-survivors-and-more-than-1-gen-remaining
Are you saying we should encourage hiding in a corner for 15 minutes until the killer finds someone and on top of that reward the survivors for it? the killer stomps you but you stayed still for 5 minutes so congrats here's some BP and only a 2K for a killer who was clearly winning?
Also nothing forbids you to hide currently, unless you literally afk in a locker? Which again, why would you want to encourage that?
Genuinely don't understand why you would think turning this game into a hide & seek simulator would be a good idea. Sure stealthing can be fun for some survivors, but I'm not sure many killers would stick around if they had to go around checking every locker over and over again because they were winning too fast.
Finally, if there's 3 gens (or more) left the chances of survival are low but they wouldn't be so low if survivors did gens instead of hiding.
Anyways, hope i grossly misunderstood what you were trying to say (and I'm sorry if that's the case)
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3412374#Comment_3412374
Side note on this: perks that gives survivor a bonus when their teammates die have never been any help to solo q, it just encourages selfish plays. the idea is nice but these perks always backfire into the form of a P3 claudette waiting in the basement for their teammates to die.
Ah, well I hate Claudette.

I agree; hook states are a resource and should be viewed as such. If the Killer is trying to tunnel someone out survivors without hook states should literally get between the Killer and the survivor they're trying to tunnel out to force the Killer to spread hook states.
A common denominator I've often seen in 3K or 4K games is a survivor with no hook states at the end (who then either gets Hatch or, more commonly, dies the first time they get hooked since they're the last survivor).
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3412897#Comment_3412897
A similar experience I had on a Killer game was someone saltily accusing me of 'double tunneling' the first two survivors that died. I wasn't about to let the two survivors in front of me do gens in peace while I scoured the back corners of the map looking for two people hiding in a bush somewhere. If somebody doesn't present themselves as a target, don't accuse the Killer of tunneling if all they're doing is going after the only visible target. Survivors are a team; if a survivor plays selfishly they can't blame for the consequences of the survivor's actions
The worst with that, is that they're the same people that says "if someone loop you good drop chase uh"
Like ok brother, but if I drop the chase, it's because the dude's too strong, so then what do I do?

For me not tunneling is more of a Golden Rule thing. I hate running into it as Survivor, so I don't do it as Killer.
That said, I'm not above attacking or slugging off hook if the opportunity arises. It'll delay the rescuee's reentry into the game by however long it takes them to mend and, if you get the slug, that is pressure right there.
Honestly, I think the tip I can offer is that gen pressure/slowdown is anything that keeps Survivors off of generators. Not just direct slowdown like Call of Brine, Pop, Deadlock, etc.
When I play Demogorgon I like to use addons that slow portal sealing because Survivors will waste time on that of they see a portal to seal.
If I'm on Twins and someone tries to hold Victor hostage, I let 'em. That's one person who can't do anything whatsoever and will give away the position of any teammates in top of that. I can always recall Victor if I decide I need him.
When I play Pig, I ignore the Survivors with an active trap, except maybe to injure them if they healed, because they're the one person I least have to worry about. They won't touch a gen until their trap is off. I also favor Ruleset Number 2 (Jigsaw Boxes aren't visible until the trap is active) to delay removing the trap by however much I can.
On Killers without natural slowdown tactics you can utilize anti-heal builds or perks that enforce extra objectives like Hex: Plaything.
Sadly, whenever I take the addon to hide jigsaw boxes, I get an outside map with clear vision on everything, making it useless.
-
You know what failed me the most with Knight?
Guards inability to phase through everything, they'll just get stuck on random things.
Also, it would be great to have iridescent addons that gives the ability to place a guard that wanders randomly and one more that makes the guard permanent until stunned with a pallet or blinded or banner grabbed.

You can easily troll her with her own traps, you just need some coordination and good looping skills and after a while, she will stop teleporting.

@Solo_Queue_is_Hell said:
Well, as someone who solo q a lot: you can deal with campers and tunellers, but it requires a minimum amount of skill, game awareness and discipline.
Reassurance will hurt a lot if the rest of the team is on gens. After the perk expires, you can always trade hooks and repeat the process (if you bring deliverance, the better).
If the killer slugs you and go for the unhooked, you can get up with unbreakable and get back on gens, while someone else body blocks or annoys the killer when the downs the unhooked (if on a pallet, the better). All this time the 4th person is doing gens.
Even if the killer gets 1 kill (it's possible), 3 will make it. But sometimes it's perfectly possible for a 4 man escape, especially if the killer is not Bubba and there are healthy survivors to body block at the exit gates.
Also, remember adrenaline: she will heal you when you get unhooked at endgame, plus give you a speed boost.
You can always bring a medkit with the purple bottle addon to tank a hit at endgame for someone.
To sum up: it's perfectly possible, but requires brains and a minimum amount of knowledge of how the game works. Something that is sorely lacking in solo queue.
This man is right, read carefully Adrenaline description, it says "bring this perk to erase instantly all your mistakes and auto escape in end game."

It's the tools of torments, probably made by Survivors mains trying to force us to leave the game...

This is just a bad situation overall. The killer dragged out the game for sure but this is an ongoing issue in solo q. The issue I see very often is 1-2 survivors with no hooks just hiding or sitting on gens while the other two are dead or on death hook. What needed to be done BEFORE this situation even occurred is both of you needed to use some hook states. I understand in some cases the killer refuses to chase others but most of the time you can get them to chase you or even let them get an easier down on you to allow the death hook teammates a chance to reset.
You both had 4 hooks to give. IMO your team would have still been alive had you used them.
Exactly!
They're all like "omg tunneling" then get the frick out of the gens and come loop me a little instead of just hiding and then complaining.

Damn you're really taking this thing so seriously, chill out.
You don't have to be a genius to understand I was joking there.

You know, I past along some Steam Profiles while playing Killer, and realized quickly WHAT exactly Survivors like playing against...
The secret is...
- Let them escape.
- Do not hit on hook, nod head when they're HEALTHY not when they're on hook or slugged.
- Do not come back at a hook.
- Do not hit a Borrowed Time survivor.
- Do not use NOED/Rancor.
- Do not use Tombstone Myers.
- Give them hatch.
- Do not kill more than 2 survivors and say GGs end game chat.
- Go on their steam profiles and write: "+rep nice survivor".
- Put only pressure on Gens.
- Do not play Skull Merchant, you can play Knight but you have to drop chases and let gens be done.
- Do not stay near the hook, even if all the survivors are near it.
- Do not argue against any survivor, they cannot be wrong, always agree with what they say and be sorry for existing too much.
- Count your hook stages, and be extremely careful not to hit the same survivor twice in a row else you'll be reported for toxicity.
- Always make unhook safe.
- Do not use meta perks, even if they use Sprint Burst and many other broken perks, they are allowed to do so, not you.
- If it's an SWF, do not bring Lightborn, let them get as much flashlight saves as they want, get stunned by pallets and say GG you're all so good at the game in end chat.
- Be successful at mind games, Survivors do appreciate that.
- Drop chases, but not for the weaker link, and by all means, do not let ANYONE on the ground.
- Even if someone is getting ready for a pallet/flashlight save and you KNOW it, take the risk, if you slug the guy at least two seconds, he'll post "-rep toxic slugger" on your steam profile.
-
Yeah the scratch mark thing is annoying, they just lead to wherever the survivor isn't.
-
Last time (first time) I got a Pinhead, I was looping him so hard that in end game when he finally downed me, he hitted me on hook and I felt immense pleasure thinking I finally played correctly.
But yeah I was kinda making this Pinhead life miserable by always doing the box every minute.

I have exactly the opposite experience. And I have waaaay more the 100hrs on killers alone (being survivor main).
Now show me the stats - out of 10 soloQ games in a row with no mither and no other perk - how many did u escape? I would guess it would be around 1/10 if you are lucky.
I only escaped 1 time, and just because my teammate had a David Looper King that was giving the Killer an immense feeling of weakness.
I don't even saw the Killer, I think it was a Knight or something similar.
-
Agreed, even if you get mean messages in end game chat and on your steam profile, you get immense pressure.

"try playing soloQ with just no mither then"
What does that have to do with anything? I don't like pig. I do play weaker killers, but not pig. But I can play clown from time to time and even if he's much weaker - it's still very much possible to win. What absolutely makes no sense is saying that killer can't win anything when picking weak killer AND handicapping myself - and demand for devs to change things so that it's suddenly possible.
Maybe do not handicap yourself if you want to win so much?
I did and escaped lol, I'm so gud at this game.
And no, the Killers are weak, the maps are terrible and the survivors perks are way too efficient.
A new player don't have the best perks nor 100000 iridescent addons, even after playing 100 hours, it's either have incredible skill or play Nurse.

Pig seems decent from my encounters...not entirely sure the addons and stuff they run. The rarest killer I see has got to be Billy, and there's probably a reason for that, Billy matches don't seem to go too well for them...
Billy is all about skill and succesful mind games I think, like I have none of those 2 and got obliterated instantly by Ace.
