How am I supposed to slow down gens as killer now?

You aren't. Slowing down gens makes survivors sad. Sad survivors don't buy Feng Min cosmetics.

    So true.

My addons? Should I have taken MDR+amulet? I think I took one of the weakest addons in game. Same about map offering - I didn't choose Gideon (some ppl still consider it survivor sided - so this is for them).

Also this whole thread is about killer being way too hard and basically unplayable - that doesn't look to be true if such a stomp is possible with ######### addons...

Try playing Pig with no addons and no gen regression perks, you'll see.

The thing is companies know not every "product" they produce is not going to be equal in sales. It's not like they go "Oh, well this isn't selling as well as our top seller, might as well scrap it". If they still see sales through that product they might keep it around to appeal to that different market that seems to like said product.

Just because you don't see Haddie a lot doesn't mean they still don't do well with her sales (and her skins). Not to mention, who knows maybe in your region Haddie isn't as popular but in other regions of the world she sells well. Just because you personally don't see her a lot doesn't mean she still doesn't make money for bHVR. Unless we see sales data all discussion on how well she sells is purely anecdotal.

You also seem to be saying people want "sexy" characters. While this is true for some of the player base. There are still a lot of people who pick a character because the seem themselves in that particular character.

He was talking about 100% of the Kate playerbase, but that's only 32% of the DBD playerbase.

Imagine a world where Hexes were not nerfed into the ground every patches....

Then maybe survivors would haver other concerns than gens?

    Agreed.

Well, my name is from my given name, which is Cynthia. It's a nickname or shortened version of it. So, not so astonishing after all. We do exist. (Although I'm a little disappointed in the attitude of the other Cyn, if that is from Cynthia as well. Kinda bad for our name all the way around :/ )

Well sorry I'm just pissed off by Survivors that keeps coming into my profile to put "-rep won the game".

And Cynwale is just a character, nothing related to Cynthia.

  • Ce serait stupide d'acheter des compétences de tueur normaux.

  • That is very bad idea, as much as it would help me tunneling, I wouldn't want people to have to deal with me assisted by in game clock.

    I don't think I would lose anymore.

What does Trust have to do with anything here? How does TRUST play into this thread?

As for skill, I think I'm pretty bad as a survivor. If the killer comes after me, I AM going to get hooked. I can't loop him to save my dbd life. I've watched videos and it looks so easy, but it really isn't. I get campers probably about 90% of the time now, and I've only been playing since last October. That doesn't mean I won't try to save my teammates, even if it means certain death for me, but at least if it gets to that point, I will have had time to play a little and feel like it was a bit of fun. The camping and tunneling seemed to amp up around the end of December or first of January, so I put it down to people being extremely unhappy over the holidays. Now that we're into Spring, I think I can safely conclude it had nothing to do with the Holidays.

Just consider yourself lucky and grind for your BP's while it lasts.

It will last forever, because face camper only exist in those threads.

That's what trust comes into the thread, you're probably trying to lie about Killers camping when in fact, you're high MMR, tbagging every single Killer after looping them for 5 gens easily.

    The new Shrine is : Perks LV1 : 2 K / LV2 : 4 K / LV3 : 6 K... You have a discount if you have prestige the perk's character...

Ah yes ok, they should reduce the price to 2K only.

  • @Qnikudo said:

    Perks in the Shrine is too expensive for me... Perks LV1 : 1,5 K / Perks LV2 : 2 K / Perks LV3 : 2,5 K... Because buy 2 K + 4 K+ 6 K = 12K... It's more than one character...

I don't know what you are talking about, all the perks I've seen so far cost 2K only, even the tier 2.

  • @DjEnderFox107 said:

Sorry for the overly dramatic title but it’s something to reel y’all in 😂. What I mean is to reduce all of the killers terror radius.

The reason for this change is to make the game a little more scarier by being able to surprise survivors, making them more worry of their environment. What makes ghost face and myers so terrifying to go against is that you never really know where they are and have to constantly watch a certain area to prepare to run away when they are super close by.

Now I don’t mean to make killer with a terror radius of 32 meters to go all the way to 4 meters but to go down to half like 16 meters will make it better to come surprise survivors.

With how it’s more easier now to detect how close a killer is with the heart system, killers barely get anymore chances to get a first hit on survivors before they easy rush to a safe pallet and run you the whole entire game with ease.

This even goes for ranged killers because they already have a lullaby that gives them away before you have a terror radius and with most players need to be closed ranged to even be able to hit a survivor.

With this change yes there would need to be changes to certain perks that work only within a terror radius but these can be easily fixed with just a couple of number changes.

All comments are appreciated negative or positive!

    (Edit)

This is more of a want than a needed change! I posted this discussion on how the community would feel if this was implemented in the game!

I hard disagree, Survivors need it, even the best SWF would get raped if Terror Radius didn't exist.

We need basekit unbreakable. The mere fact that the devs said they were going to bring it to the game and never did is ridiculous. What did all the streams that main killer gave you guys black lash? It's not about them it is about your players that are tired of just being slugged and playing the whole game on the ground wasting our time.

So okay, if a Survivor has DS and base kit Unbreakable, you have to slug him, but he will recover, there is another survivor going to the exit door, in your logic, you have to let them both escape because slug is bad gen rush good?

  • They don't have to nerf boons, just buff Hexes.

Like, to punish SWF using Exponential, NOED can be activated early and spammed until all totems are destroyed.

  • Honestly no, the only thing they should modify is making cosmetics for EVERY characters payable with shards.

The fact that you have to pay for the character and the cosmetic is annoying tbh.

And I'm glad the shrine is like that, it stops people from using meta perks.

  • Collecting items has potential tho, like using herbs to make healing thingy or even reduce 1 hook stage with iridescent herb.

  • I think, there should be a rarity/addon system.

For exemple, yellow medkit = 1 addon, brown medkit no addon, green medkit 2 addon, purple medkit 3 addons.

And for Bloodweb, add a random factor of getting more units into the same case, like 2 or 3.

For Killers, 3 addons could be cool, it would give more speed movement and we would less use Tunneling as Gens won't pop that often.

    I totally disagree:

This is my usually experience this patch... No camp, no tunnel. This is just most fresh game. But others look very similar...

Everything about the problem is in your build, just look at your Killer, then your perks, then your addons.

Look at what you have, and then see how much altruism they gave you.

Then, it's enough to know you only win because of meta, end of the argument.

New Game Mode: 3 vs 3 King of the Hill in the form of 2 survivor+1 killer on each team fighting for control of gens.

    Background:

People suggest 2vs8 (2x killers vs 8x survivors) FAR TOO MUCH! I think this is a bad idea, and plenty of others have great points on why. Easiest one is, "people don't like playing against knight generally, so more of that is bad.

However, I think there is an obvious missed opportunity. Many games capitalize on various party sizes sometimes with various game modes. For example, my friends and I really enjoyed Overwatch but hated the main game. However, we LOVED 3vs3 elimination. Then they made it occasional.

    Concept:

My idea for an alternate game mode is a 3vs3 king of the Hill style game mode.

Red Team (2survivors+1killer) vs Blue Team(2survivors+1kill)

All gens start neutral/incomplete and when your team completes a gen, your team gains points over time. Match can have set time limit (5min or 10min, something short). Team with the most points at the end wins.

Main thing I think would need adjusting is that the killer needs to be able to unhook there teammate survivors. This prevents all survivors being hooked and nothing happening until time runs out.

Other than that, everything should be straight forward (ish.... because coding/programming). Buffs from perks only effect teammates, debuffs only effect enemies.

    Conclusion:

I feel this would be a good alternative that can bring more casual fun into the growing sweat that is the standard game mode. This game mode also helps eliminate the "us vs them" mentality as survivors and killers would work together to defeat the enemy team.

I am certain there are things I have overlooked and reasons this may be difficult. However, I feel it would be a very fun experience.

Survivor mains would never accept to team up with Killers, they have immense hatred for them. If they make this gamemode I'll just join to bodyblock them and slug the other team.

  • I don't care about any of these characters, I want a Nick skin for Ace or Felix.

And give Laurie some cosmetics too, she has literally 1 thing. Even Myers has more than her, and this man is not into fashion.

(Keep Laurie cute tho, no half naked clothing cause that's just how every other women dress up anyway.)

  • I agree, if you solo queue, get off a gen once and boom, you all get killed.

But as a Killer, drop a Survivor once and the game will soon end with you getting -1 pip.

  • I agree, the crows thing it pretty annoying.

As a Killer, I think stealth is the road people should go into, chasing isn't fun cause your retire pallets and boom loopers are suddenly all gone.

So you're not chasing a survivor, you're chasing pallets.

But I don't understand the third point, what?

And 200% progression speed should be a perk, to help solo queue.

  • The only problem here is that people complained, if the dude wanted to hatch so much he could've taken stealth perks.

  • @Veritere said:

And I agree with that! Like I said, it's not an easy problem to solve.

Unless they rework the game completely, it's not a problem that is going away. Which is a shame honestly. I really think this will only hurt the game in the long run. Killers tunnel to get easy games, survivors, specially soloq, get tired of playing. Killer's mmr increases due to inflated kills, starts getting coordinated sfw's that somewhat know how to counter this and begins to get tired of the game aswell.

It's a spiral of disdain and hate =/

The problem is that you take the wrong side of thing, Killers didn't began this hellloop.

Just take a look at Survivors videos, they're all about making the Killer player DC.

If tunneling was the resort of all those trashy killer mains that deserve to rot in hell, then how those videos comes out?

It should be easy for those pesky killer mains to dodge the super skilled god like vengeful angel Survivor main that makes vilainous killer mains DC to instead focus on the weaker link no?

Well it doesn't happen because Killers tunnel only because your team is on gens 24/24, they cannot reach them because of Sprint Burst, they cannot see them because they hide before the killer come, and because patrolling gens or chasing takes usually 5 gens and an immediate 4 man escapes.

  • I just think there should be more Killer perks for controlling chases, like something to block Windows/Pallets in a chase without having to suddenly go faster than blight and tier 3 Myers to vault a window, doing it again to go back behind the survivor and resume the chase after bambozling the window.

  • Yeah I keep getting disconnected it's annoying, especially when I'm playing games where I don't have to tunnel.

  • Ambush vaulting and grabbing would be absolutely welcomed, but this blurry vision thing is too much.

  • Dead Hard isn't that much of a problem as before, now the problem are probably the fact that 1 chase = 2/3 gens done, drop the chase to patrol gens and you'll see exit gates getting powered just after if you're playing M1 Killer.

It wouldn't be that much of a problem, if hitting a survivor didn't give them infinite haste + dead hard + decisive strike + exponential + sprint burst + balance landing + lithe and whatever invulnerability/auto-escape perks that are getting run nowaday.

Patrolling gens is auto 4 man escape if no camping/tunneling, and anyway most of the time you won't even see the other survivors so you'll be forced to tunnel one guy.

  • Well I don't know why but I don't trust you, if you're that bad as you say, how can you encounter so many campers?

I am pretty sh*t at survivor, very probably low MMR, and no matter the Killer I face they never face camp.

In my whole playtime, I only faced one single facecamping Bubba, surprisingly it was funny cause I tricked him into wasting his chainsaw with a fake unhook before coming back for the true unhook.

Everyone says they see facecamping killers, but that's only at high MMR I'm sure of that.
