Until you start the game with another survivor and now you have a wasted perk because the killer went for that survivor but found you instead. Having said that, LP is fine where it is.
If Distortion pops and you are near another survivor, you have 10 seconds to split from them. Distortion covers your scratch marks during the 10 seconds it is active.

It just needs to not exist. We already have J. Tombstone which is perfectly balanced. There's no need for 2 mori addons.
I wouldn't call Judith's balanced tbh.
I think both tomestone addons suffer from the same problem of being rather uninteractive addons that can remove a healthy survivor from the game. Things like Pig RBT and Sadako Condemn offer a way to kill a survivor outright in a trial, but at least require a level of interactivity from the survivor to prevent that.
Just because Judith's is not as strong as piece and require more set up (gen stall, play with your food, and tuft of fur) doesn't mean it's a healthy perk to keep the way it is.
The addons just need to be changed fundamentally. Conceptually they are fine to still be Mori addons, but there just needs to be some other factor besides hitting T3 to determine when a survivor can be mori'd.
-
He automatically goes into a 3 second CD upon vaulting a pallet. Wesker only hits survivors if he reaches the pallet as the survivor is vaulting it or the survivor stays right up against the pallet as wesker is vaulting it.
You only get slowed down at max infection and it takes quite a while for that to build up. The sprays taking longer than Nemesis vaccines is fine, because there's far more sprays on the map and sprays carry an additional use. Meaning unlike Nemesis who can keep all 4 survivors contaminated, it's harder for Wesker to keep all 4 survivors fully infected.
Calling it a psuedo teleport is misleading. It's a dash. Wesker can dash twice in a straight line and travels up to ~21m (changes slighly based on a couple of addons). It's a 12 second CD (8 if all survivors are infected) to get back both charges so while using his power for mobility saves around 2 seconds, it's also down for quite a while if he engages in a chase shortly afterwards.
-
The killer knowing where survivors are at the start of the trial is hardly a bad thing. Survivor spawns can be figured out based on game knowledge so even if the perk didn't exist, you would likely just as often have a killer head right towards you anyways.
You going down in 20 seconds of being found is a skill issue.
An as aside, one of my main survivor builds runs distortion and I rarely end up face Lethal Pursuer as it is.

Yeah, Eruption is ridiculous. Incapacitated shouldn't be a thing, period. It should at least time out after 30 seconds or so on that gen if they insist on leaving a zero counterplay effect like regression+Incapacitated
I think Incapacitated is generally fine outside of Eruption.
Pinhead and Twins power inflicting the status is fine as chains and victor are not meant to be things to easily ignore.
Huntress has an addon that inflicts it for 5 seconds which is fine, because the duration is short and it mostly just counters using a styptic mid-chase.
-
Eruption is just straight up overtuned with how long the incapacitated duration last. I can certainly understand why a survivor might rage quit over it. Though doesn't justify the message you received.
You're in no fault for running the perk. It's up to the devs to actually address the issue by nerfing the perk.
-
I see the tapes more in line with Pig RBTs which do not count as an item either. Plus I'm pretty sure if the devs implemented that her addon to cause everyone to start with a tape would just delete items survivors bring into the trial and I'm sure that's a nightmare solution to figure out.

It's absolutely ridiculous how the devs outright neglect this pathetic excuse for a stealth killer. A cooldown of 100 seconds for a tv is LAUGHABLE compared to Dredge's almost nonexistent cooldowns and superior map control. And even he is considered one of the weaker killers in this game, now evaluate where exactly Sadako stands in comparison to that.
She's without a doubt among the bottom 3 killers in this entire game, what a disgrace.
Tbf, Dredge can straight up be worse than Sadako on some maps with basically no lockers. Swamp maps in particularly can be a pain, but a lot of Autohaven map tiles don't spawn lockers as well so maps like Gas Haven and Blood Lodge have massive dead zones of no lockers.
Sadako at the very least is more or less consistent with her strength on every map since she's always guaranteed a TV spawn by a gen (granted some tv spawns can still suck).

Survivor's can repair at 5% speed. it's called Deja Vu. It's pretty slept on if you wanna prevent 3 genning in solo q.
The 5% from Deja Vu is honestly pretty terrible.
Deja Vu itself is a fine perk, but gens are only highlighted for 60 seconds and you still have to move to reach a highlighted gen meaning you often have 5% repair speed for much less than 60 seconds. The only time you could possibly get full value is if someone else finishes a gen and the gen you are currently working on gets highlighted.

I see the argument "its their job to kill you".
Well actually, their job is to sacrefice you. These days i see a lot of slugging, camping on the ground and moris. And from the lore standpoint, definetly 2 survivors should escape, so their hope is not compromised. The entity doesnt want 4k's. Or 4 escapes for example.
Sacrificing is a way to kill a survivor.
Since MMR counts any kill as a kill it doesn't really matter how a killer kills you. Not to say that rank based matchmaking was better, but rank based matchmaking did at least incentives hooks as in order to pip you needed to hook survivors several times.
So as far as the current state of the game goes, the only thing a killer is required to do is kill survivors whether that's by sacrifice, letting them bleed out, or with your own hands.

The devs have actually said that they do want to give solo players a slight boost because of that balance gap. It’s why they announced in January early development of a HUD rework to help solo players out.
Giving solo players some built in information tools to help decision making is a nice boost to solo queue games where better information about what each other is doing would have helped out. But it's not a handicap mechanic as SWF could technically still get use out of the HUD changes.
Devs were posting last week that while the absolute extremes of SWF vs Solo were a 15% difference (meaning worst SWF teams could be losing 15% more and best SWF teams could be winning 15% more), there wasn't a significant difference between SWF and Solo as a whole. Solo Queue has issues with getting matched with teammates who don't do anything (where a 5% boost to gen repair won't do anything) so I don't see giving solos a baseline faster gen repair is good for the game when good solo squads can still do just as well as good swf squads.
-
Honestly Iri Videotape is honestly just kind of nuts.
It's not the strongest addon in existence, but it goes above the power level an iri addon should be providing. 4 TVs is more than half and against Sadakos without iri videotape, interacting with tvs is just not nessecary. If you try to pre-emptively counter the addon, you are hurting yourself and if you don't you can easily give the Sadako a chance to snowball.
I fully expect it to get nerfed when the devs address Sadako in a mid chapter.
-
I don't think on average SWF vs Solo is at a huge enough difference that solos need an actual handicap mechanic.

What I find funny here is how many people seem to forget that Off the Record gives you 80 seconds of no aura and no sound regardless of the Endurance effect being used up. It’s actually a pretty good stealth perk if you run away immediately after the unhook rather than waste the Endurance on a bodyblock. If you combine this with a perk that hides your scratches or something similar you can have a nice period of time where the killer will have trouble spotting you while you heal or do gens or whatever.
Then again maybe a lot of survivors are playing less stealthily nowadays? 🤷♂️ But if you’re looking to make a stealthy loadout I would think Off the record would fit right in.
As someone who actually ran OTR before the change for the aura reading, I'm sadden by the fact that it was nerfed.
The perk disables when the last gen is finished so you lose out on the no aura reading and no sounds. I still run it on my Renewal Build, but it is upsetting that the main reason I ran it got nerfed.

I made no mention of how many people are running a script. Don't act so defensive when no accusations were being made.
-
Endurance doesn't stack.
While 80 seconds of endurance sounds good, it conflicts with all other forms of endurance you can have. If you are good at Dead Hard (or have a script) it accomplishes nearly the same thing OTR would do when being tunneled.
-
While people d/cing or suiciding on the first hook of the match is an issue and people shouldn't be doing that. I'm not going to stay in a match I have no chance to escape from. Survivor queues are quick and dying earlier rather than later still makes you lose mmr.

You need to reread that post and thread Peanits was talking about. When he says "only downing when they refuse to move" he was talking specifically about a scenario where there was a Doctor using Madness to keep survivors Incapacitated so they couldn't work on gens. That was the context of his post, it was an issue because Doctors can keep survivors from doing gens without actually damaging or downing them.
Also the people who got banned for the Legion thing in that Mandy quote were banned because players were using an exploit, not because of a 3-gen scenario.
Also BVHR made it very clear they were going to ban people for using addon. It was one of the few times where bvhr flat out said they were going to ban people.
-
You should probably report this as a bug.
-
I experimented with Freddy skill check addons and oppression sometime last year and I never saw auras from people who blew up gens with it. I did it for multiple games and never saw any sort of value from it.
AFAIK, they don't and the addons are hardly worth using because freddy has very little ways to reliably affect skill checks and the only way you could keep consistent value of them is if you run the addon that prevents survivors from waking up by failing skill checks.
-
The perk is weak, but I've found a decent use for it.
I've been running it with Terminus, NWO, and Bloodwarden on Legion with BFF Pin. Legion can already stall out the game a bit and can easily find people with KI. I don't really want to prevent gens from getting done with a full regression build, but it's much preferrable going into the end game with 4 stacks of NWO (which means Grim Embrace trigger) and at least a survivor dead. This makes the Terminus + NWO endgame really dangerous when survivors are down a survivor.
Outside of an end game build as a perk to slightly delay the end game so you can set yourself up into a good position, I don't see any reason to run it. And even then Deadlock might just be overall better, but I like Grim Embrace showing the obsession aura as it helps force someone out afterwards.

As someone who's gotten fed up with the cheater paranoia, I will say it's not completely Otz's fault.
For starters, he has started encountering cheaters way more than he used to, especially since anonymous mode was added. Not only that but he actually had a stream or two where a specific cheater was going out of their way to target him but they were doing it in a subtle way until the end
Another thing is his chat. His chat makes the issue 10x worse because even if Otz goes like "huh that was odd" his chat is there spamming stuff like "lol obvious auto DH" "obvious cheater lol" and it just creates a really bad environment. I don't blame him for being a bit paranoid about it but when you're a big streamer it goes from "huh that was weird" to walls of messages saying "lol that's not legit"
On the last bit, that's an issue with any large streamer.
I faced a big streamer a while back and their chat was so insisted that I was cheating because I was able to sneak away injured without Iron Will largely due to Shadow Step.

Ehh purple and up sure some decent changes to them occur but green and below are still mostly % changes. The main difference is while killers used to have a brown yellow and green that did the same thing, typically newer killers have it more spread out around many aspects of their kits since their kits are more diverse.
Dredge has 10 number changes but none of them overlap, Wesker has 11 number changes but once again only 2 of them do the same this and they are opposites, Sadako is the best of the 3 most recent with only 9 number changes. For comparison Myers has 11 (not including glass tree or rabbit due to them being too simalar to a mini perk.) with most of them overlapping except for 2. Wesker and Myers end up coming out with the same amount of number changes only Myer's has much more repeats and even his non number change addons repeat.
The main issue is Myers doesn't doing a special move except in tier 3, like what is he gonna mangle you by stalking. The only way I see it working is entirely new funky addons like while you stalk someone they lose heal progression or snowball addons like blinding all survivors doing X after downing someone in tier 3 or survivors who have X% of their stalk juice drained get X status effect (Stalk Juice even being a thing is a hot topic however)
I guess in my head I was overestimating how many more unique green addons exist. But there are still some very interesting greens that exist that likely wouldn't have existed if we kept to old killer addon design. Like Billy has an undetectable addon in green slot. Ghostface has a recharge power on pallet/wall break in green. Dredge and Blight have an aura reading in green. Sadako has condemnation spreading via healing action in green.
But even if that's not completely true, Wesker and Myers having the same number of number adjustments addons, but Wesker's addons impacting a lot more than Myers goes with my point about addon variety. Myers, Wraith, Doctor, Hag (older killers) don't have much variation due to their addons being better version of lower rarity addons. Trapper and Clown still have this "problem" after their addon overhauls, but did gain some more varied addons as well.
Another thing that hurts Myers in the same way that Pyramid Head is hurt is that he also just has some largely useless addons as well. Aura reading for stalking a survivor in T1 or T2, better off taking faster stalk or if you want aura reading do a scratched mirror build. Movement speed while stalking, doesn't really need more than 1 addon for this. Make it a single brown addon since there is a situation where faster movement in stalk helps due to losing collision, but 3 addons that buff this is way too much. Judith's Journal is an interesting addon that syngerizes with his perks. Not necessarily better than just running Memorial, but Myers could always get more obsession based addons. I would love to see a consolidation similar to Ghostface addon overhaul. Make addons like faster stalk, or extra duration in T3 on the lower rarity and reduce the overall number of them to 1 or 2 so there's more room for interesting addons.
Another thing is outside of Tomestone addons, Myers doesn't have anything that really affects his T3. Dead Rabbit increases his T3 TR, but that is more ran for the T2 TR. Legion has an addon for faster breaking in Feral Frenzy, so Myers could always get an addon for faster pallet/wall/gen breaking in T3 (though this could always be argued as a basekit buff).
Myers also has stalks faster at short range compared to long range. Always an option for a Purple addon to reverse that so he stalks faster at long range.
There's options for Myers to make his addon pool more diverse.
-
To note, it only resets back to half infection if you are above that. If your infection is less than half when hooked, it'll stay there.
And I don't see it completely resetting to 0 infection as a good idea. There's 6 boxes (12 total uses) on the map. It's already easy enough for survivors to completely remove infection. I don't think hooking should also act as another way to remove it otherwise there would be less value in spraying.
-
I've had a game as an injured David (no iron will and pre-6.1.0) against a streamer where I managed to slip away due to Shadow Step, also this was on Azarov's. So you can certainly get it to work without Iron Will and even with current Iron Will can be enough as you can still be quiet enough for the boon to be louder to the killer.

nurse is not same as Wesker. Wesker is straight line skillshot with travel time. Its possible side-step his dash as seen by when his hitbox was 20 meters. Still possible but it is easier for Wesker to hit you with 30 cm. At middle and max distances. you can consistently dodge his bounds if you make the correct read. Wesker has no zoning, He is all about dodging the skillshot except when he can't physically use it because of large cast times and... pallet dropping.
Saying you can juke Nurse is like saying you can 360 killers. you can't juke M1 attacks. The only aspect you can do is to try make the nurse make a mistake using her blinks such that she is not in distance to m1, but that is easier said then done considering her ability to blink through objects at fast speeds. She exhibits an unhealthy amount of zoning that is largely unpreventable in most instances.
Wesker is everything for how nurse should play minus the bad variable balance.
I will say that while Wesker's cooldowns and slowdown prevent him from being a good zoner on it's own. The animation from the survivor perspective when it comes to Wesker cancelling his power is often not clear enough, imo. While on Wesker's screen it'll show the Uroboros virus losing it's grip and going back into his arm, it doesn't really convey that well on the survivor side.
There is a sound that plays when this is happening, but it's can be easy to miss especially over his music.

It's doable. They have data analysts. A lot of them.
For obscure reason they dont want to share that type of stuff, probably because players would find new way to complain. Also, I think BHVR want to keep the game direction completely blurry. It's a casual game disguised as a competitive one, but they'll never take any stance.
It's not that it isn't doable. It's just that going an indepth dive into the data and then also build an infographic to share with the public is likely not a great use of their time. Internally they don't need an infographic themselves if the team sees in their data something is doing too well or too poorly and start consider changes as they watch to see if it stays that way.
Also idk if I would say it's disguised as a competitive one. It's a pvp game and people by nature act competitively when they are facing other people. Add on the fact that matchmaking matches you up with random players and people are going to compete to beat their opponent. It might not be an esport level game, but the nature of the gameplay leads to it being competitive by nature.

You haven't addressed the lack of variety. I've already said that Myers has more game changing stuff with his addons, but outside those couple of addons that do change how Myers play, the rest of his addons are just the same thing with different values.

Can you name a couple killers from the last 12 months, that have addons which completely change the way they play? Instead of just changing timers on something?
You need actually read what I wrote. I never said that other killers have more addons that completely changed their gameplay to the extent of Myers. Just that Myers actual variety between his addons is bad. Myers has a handful of addons that do the exact same thing, but with different values plus the mirror addons (though no on runs vanity) and his two iris.
Most other killers have brown and yellows to be the minor buffs to basekit addons then green addons and above start to be more diverse. There's a couple of killers that have lesser variety than Myers like Wraith whose addons are largely unchanged since he came out back when addon diversity was not really a thing.

His addons allow for vastly different approaches/change completely how he plays.
Other killers addons give more ability uses/faster reload or charges/some useless stuff.
That's not even remotely true with other killers anymore. A lot of killer addons now inflict status effects, give aura reading, or even act as a mini perk. There's very few killers who majority of addons are just % increases to their base power since even greens are more unique addons now. I think you just need to pull yourself out of the year 2018 where that was true.
Not to mention your complain about how other killer addons only provide increases to their power is the exact same thing with Myers except he has a couple of addons like scratched mirror and tombstone that do something else.

His addons allow for 3 different playstyles.
- that allows faster stalking/longer tier 3
- that allows to kill
- that allows to wall hack.
Thats more than more recent killers like Nemesus have.
Myers has more game changing addons, but his variety sucks
In fact I would even go far to say that Myers has the worst addon variety compared to most killers. Older killers like Trapper and Billy got addon passes that diversified their addon pools. New killers come with diversified addon pools.
-
I think pop is largely fine. Being current progress instead of max progress is fine although it probably didn't also need a value nerf as well. You can control which gen you pop so it's not like you are forced to use it on a gen with little progress.
Pop would probably see play if there weren't just better slowdown perks that can do the same thing as pop, but more consistently

His addons also require a fair amount of time to charge up. Aka someone who feeds him.
Are his addons strong? Absolutely! And i wish we had more killers with a addon variety like Myers.
In regard, if that addon needs to be toned down. There don´t seem to be particuarly many Myers out there, insta killing survivors. At least i can´t remember the last time, i´ve faced one. What i see however, are a lot of players with varying nicknames that ask to be moried by Myers.
So is it really an issue, if you get that once or twice per year?
Myer's really doesn't have addon variety. You can say he has more addons that can completely change how he plays which is a far more fair assessment.
His only viable addons are Infinite T3, Faster Stalk, and Tomestone Piece. Maybe you'll see someone use a duration addon instead of Infinite T3, maybe you'll encounter a scratched mirror myers, and maybe once in a blue moon you'll encounter someone actually using Judith + Infinite T3.
But as far as variety goes, it's basically non-existent since he is from old killer addon design that is higher rarity addon is just a lower rarity addon with higher numbers.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/521124#Comment_521124
It's going to be really hard to prove the killer was making no attempt to down anyone. Especially when the killer did eventually down survivors. If the killer has an area they are defending, leaving that area means giving up all current pressure unless you are absolutely certain there's no other survivor just hiding out nearby.

Killers on this very board said. It wont change anything....survivors wont quit........and now all we see all day every day is survivor incentive x100 all day every day. Steam charts show it happened. And its only going to get worse from here. I cant say i blame you at all for leaving. Every update that drops make the game worse than it was before.
I've seen the survivor incentive at 50% and even the killer at 100%.
Or this cursed moment:
the incentive being 100 for the survivor most of the time is not an indicator that survivors are leaving the game. DBD needs 4 survivors for every killer. If roughly half the playerbase plays survivor and the other half plays killer, well the survivor side needs more players. In order for their to be balanced queues, 80% of players would have to be queueing for survivor. In order for killer to see incentives you would need like 90% of the playerbase playing survivor.
-
Legion's Killer Instinct is tied to survivors inside his TR (unless he has the addon to extend the KI range, but no one runs that). When a survivor is oblivious they are unaffected by any effect the killer has that requires them to be inside the TR including being detected by KI.
There's one exception and it's Doctor's power which specifically states that it ignores obliviousness.
-
Why does it need to be more punishing? The killer is alerted someone is on a gen, you lose 10% progression, and you can't add progress for the next 3 seconds. Not to mention letting go of a gen as you get a skill check is an auto fail.
If the killer is busy and can't come to the gen you just blew up, that's not a real issue that needs to be solved.
-
I've seen teammates in soloq run the perk.
Not every game of course, but I have seen it often enough and it has lead to saves that would have otherwise never happened.
-
Pretty sure the devs will bring anon mode to console. You'll eventually be able to use anon mode yourself.
-
People are really losing their heads over the ~60% kill rate. It largely just means most games that would have ended in a 0K before are now ending in a 1K. It would be far more concerning if the kill rate was 75% as that would actually mean that killers are winning a majority of games.
-
Just because you get exposed at 40ms away does not mean Wesker can actually get to you in time to actually down you. 30 seconds is pretty short especially when Wesker has no way to ignore floors or walls
-
Sadako is up for review and will likely see adjustments.
Freddy (and Myers) are old licenses that really should be relooked at, but BHVR is pretty slow at getting around to reviewing things that should be reviewed.

No its Twins they are looking at next. It was in the january Q&A-Stream.
It's not impossible for the devs to adjust 2 killers at once. We had a midchapter with 4 killers being adjusted. And it's not like plans can't change because the devs have already moved stuff around from release dates we were told in the anniversary stream.
