I think it would be an unnecessary buff
-
I played midwich twice and his control rooms have the worst spawns on midwhich. The control rooms spawn near gens, but some gens are located right at walls that force the control rooms to spawn in the room on the otherside of the wall.
Chemistry room spawns the control room in the library.
Music room spawns the control room in the bathroom.
I haven't noticed any control room spawning on different floors than the gen it's attached to, which is good. But some gens just become really hard to pressure with the tunnels due to control rooms forcing you to take a long path anyways. Not to mention midwich is all chokepoints so it's easy for turrets to really hinder you on the map, at least in my experience.
Definitely not a map I want to play Xenomorph on.

According to the wiki the missed CD is 3 seconds.
Nemesis has a CD of 2.5 seconds. Demo is missed cd of 2.25 seconds. PH cd is 2.25 seconds. Huntress CD is 2 seconds.
Alien has the longest CD and slowest movement for missing with his power already.
-
It's because the people who complain about a killer being too strong are often the people who don't actually want to try to learn how to play against them.
-
The bots exist to not force the game into a 3v1 if someone d/cs. Not to make it okay to d/c. It's still more preferable to have a human player compared to a bot.

Yea use something that waste a lot of time and do ######### against the killer... good idea.
Alien is just another cash grab, released super overpower so later, when the sales go down, they will nerf him.
Best thing to do right now is just quit the game and wait for the stupid devs to nerf this killer.
Turrets will always buy you distance when place well, because it either forces the killer to path around them or use the tail attack to destroy them going into CD.
-
The one thing I noticed is the addon that reduces stagger is almost a must. The difference is huge even after the nerf from ptb.
-
Use the turrets
-
This has been a trend with BHVR and perk design for a few years now. Most perks will never seen any real use, because they are either too weak or have too many hoops to go through to activate it.
Nic Cage was honestly a breath of fresh air, because all his perks are good with the right amount of work for their effects. But sadly that was an exception not a rule.

Problem: I am a charm collector.
While incredibly niche, Im basically forced to buy the bundle if I want to obtain the charm. I want the characters, I want the charm, I dont want to spend more for the outfit though.
Also this ignore the entire fact that the DLC would be cheaper than buying Auric Cells if they didnt artificially increase the price to begin with. And including outfits to artificially raise the price of DLC sets a bad idea going forwards, I dont think we should sit here and defend this.
It's really not about defending it. I'm just stating that if the price of the steam bundle is too high for you, there is a cheaper option available in the in-game store. And if you still don't like that, then just don't buy the dlc.
It's a video game at the end of the day. Hardly anything in the Alien dlc is required to enjoy the game.
-
You can buy the characters individually with Auric Cells. You are not required to purchased the characters via the steam store.
-
I don't think BHVR is trying to make a suitable PvE game. They added bots for customs and to take over d/cs, because they are a nice QoL. You can face bots in customs to get comfortable with a killer's power before taking it into real games and you aren't immediately down a person if someone's internet cuts out.
The problem with bots in DBD is that since BHVR's focus isn't to make a PvE game, bots are always going to be relatively simple. They function but basically cheating at the game and knowing where everything is at all times and then only conditional act on the information. With hexes it basically means when the bot comes within a certain distance of the hex they immediately go and cleanse it.

This is true, but the BHVR isn't entitled to the consumer just quietly accepting it. Nor are they entitled to perpetually growing profit margins. Drawing attention to pricing changes and discussion about them (including conjecture/questioning about motivations), as well as advocating for organized pushback is totally acceptable in forums like these.
So in a very real way, BHVR does need our approval, it's only that approval is expressed in the form of purchasing.
More than acceptable, in fact. They can raise their prices, and the consumer can reject the changes by abstaining from purchase, and by encouraging others to do so, if they feel they are unfair. This is how the market should work.
Additionally, this is how unjustified pricing changes get pushed off on people, and the fond hope of the company is that they will be quietly accepted.
And make no mistake, while inflation is a thing, a whole lot of what we have seen over the past few years is more collective price gouging/collusion that natural inflation. We had a pandemic supply chain crisis that actually passed pretty quickly, but many unscrupulous companies decided hey could just keep on going with unjustified price increases. Even for companies that were totally immune to supply chain/pandemic labor issues. This has long since graduated from conspiracy theory to a fact acknowledged by most economists.
They just count on you to quietly accept burgeoning prices and chalk it up to whatever the narrative of the day happens to be. Always question these things.
People can just roll with these changes if that's their prerogative, but we shouldn't try to quiet/suppress those who want to point out problems with them.
Then don't buy the DLC if you don't think it's worth the value. No one is forcing you to purchase the DLC. BHVR can charge what they want for their DLC and if they price it too high and people don't buy it then they'll have to reduce the price.
BHVR does not need to write up a dev blog about pricing changes and make sure the community is fine with such changes ahead of time. Just don't buy the DLC.
-
If you're just going to quit out games during the first two weeks of a new chapter release, don't play during the two weeks after a chapter release then?
You always have custom bots to get familiar with the power.
-
You aren't entitled to BHVR telling you they are going to increase DLC prices nor do they need your approval to do so. Not to mention the Auric Cell cost is still the same.
Does it suck that steam DLC prices are more expensive, sure. But you don't have to buy the DLC and you always have the ingame store option over steam.
Prices have been going up for products in general, so this hardly is as big of an issue as you guys want to make it out to be.
-
Xenomorph in crawler mode has a 24m TR. Turrets have detection range of 41m. The turret will detect the killer before you hear the TR.
Turrets force the killer to use their tail attack on them suffering a cooldown that slows them down or navigate around the turrets. If they don't, they are broken out of their power. And that's fine, no killer should have to suffer the way singularity does against EMPs where you just lose your power out of your control.
-
How often are people looting or interacting with totems? Because honestly the "nerf" is pretty irrelevant 99% of the time.

It’s not an old wording of the perk. The old version of the perk only worked up to 20 meters.
It's the same exact wording outside of the aura distance being 20 meters. Which could easily be due to the perk grabbing the value in the code so if they did update the aura distance value, they wouldn't also need to update the perk description.
It's very likely just the old perk description being merged into the main branch from someone's work machine who didn't properly merge with the master.

Lol mandy I hope the devs will triple or quadruple check their changes before they release the patch look what is happening now they created a shitstorm event haha
This isn't the first time we've had incorrect text on perk/addons after an update. Honestly too many people are just looking for a reason to attack the devs over anything. Really people should have took a few seconds to see if the perk was actually changed and not just the text since no actual change was listed in the patch notes.

They made it so turrets no longer stack damage.

So all kinds of toxic and other reprehensible behavior is allowed in DBD but the moment people want to leave an game its suddenly an issue.
Im going to go out on a limb here and say a majority of DC's have nothing to do with being "childish and weak-willed". It's easier to post melodramatic statements than to delve into the real issues.
Never change forums.
Majority of DCs have never been because of other people being toxic. It's just an excuse people use to justify the fact the game didn't go exactly the way they wanted and they refuse to play out anything outside of their perfect vision of a DBD match.
-
You still get exposed while in a locker.
-
I'm sure Survivors would love having games where a gen gets done and the killer instant d/cs or the map loads and the killer d/cs because it's a map they don't like.
-
You don't need DBD to be dying in order to stop playing it. Feels like too many people are hoping the game dies so they can stop playing.

Much like the haddonfield map rework they can just go "Hey, GOJ is too unbalanced, we'll killswitch it until we fix it"
if they can't fix the map in a reasonable amount of time, atleast dont force players to endure said map.
Haddonfield was killswitched for a bug and since the rework was coming out soon, it didn't get fixed til the rework.
-
Rebalancing am entire map is likely not a simple process they can just pumped out. If they change the house, you'd have to remake the assest.

No, I think other survivors should still be able to heal the knocked survivor up but the knocked survivor cannot heal the bar at all themselves while be knocked down.
So you're just nerfing the one benefit to No Mither.
I don't see the point in this change. Broken exists to prevent survivors from healing to healthy which has it uses.

its so funny how quick they were to rework the first iteration of legion, but they seem to take their sweeeet time with dull merchant zzzzzz
Legion came out 11 December 2018
Legion's Rework came out May 7 2019
Time Between: ~4.5 Months
Skull Merchant came March 7 and got her first rework March 22. Yes it's been over 5 months since then but it took Legion 3 years to get his 2nd rework.
-
You basically just want to make it so that survivors can completely ignore Plague's power as there's no threat to it.
-
I feel like this bug isn't specific to Wesker
-
They said big L licenses so I doubt it's FNAF on that fact alone.
But honestly even if it was, I simply do not see it as a big deal.

Wake Up is always active.
Sole Survivor requires you to be the last survivor in the trial thus is has a better boost

Its fair, because by the time Myers reaches tier 3, the gates should be powered. Unless your team feeds him.
It doesn't take that long to reach T3 with just Tuft of Hair. Tuft of Hair requires you to fully stalk 2 survivors worth of evil.
Plus Myers has access to perks like Corrupt and Deadlock to stall out gen progress. You'll likely lose early gens as Myers, but it won't be all 5.

i see posts like this so often. Does no one know that you can cancel getting healed? And yes, this also works on console, just hold the run button, it cancels the healing and also wont give them the promt to start it again.
Besides that, lets stop acting like they are stupid for trying, they cant know which perks you have.
I don't think anyone is suggesting they are stupid for trying. It's just the game really show tell survivors that you used Plot Twist since it's just creating more SWF vs Solo discrepancy the HUD was trying to solve.
-
Given how much safety survivors have access to now, Infinite Tier 3 is hardly that much of a problem.
-
You can press shift (on pc which is the run key) when they are about to finish healing you off the ground to cancel and finish the recovery yourself.
It would be nice if there was something to let survivors know you are down due to the effect of Plot Twist.

Generally people play to win in pvp games.

Yeah but a zombie hit is maybe once on 50 games? sure its fun after 50 games but at the same the small laugh i can sacrifice to get a buffed tentacle strike instead lol.
i know nothing is gonna happen with us discussing or with this post because developers never really cares about player opinions, but i hope something will get changed. :)
The thing is there's over 30 killers in the game. We're getting Alien next week who has a special attack similar to the tentacle and has map mobility. It's fine for Nemesis to have his zombies as a way to stick out amongst the crowd of killers as you have other options for a power similar to his without the zombies.

tell me one time when zombies has been useful except for just body blocking the nemesis himself lol
I've had on occasion a zombie approach the pallet at a tile I'm chasing a survivor and force the survivor to either get hit by the zombie, get hit by nemesis, or both.
I've even had situations where a survivor takes a vault into a drop and land at a zombie getting downed.
It's the kind of thing that's great to laugh at when it happens that would be missed if zombies were just removed to make Nemesis more of a "normal" killer.
-
I disagree, because zombies are at least a unique part of his kit and helps him stand out of other killers with a similar power.

It is not, but i can't play majority of my killers because of that.
It's not going to get killswitch as the point of the killswitch is to disable things that are broken that would negatively impact games. Like Wesker getting disabled for a bug that turned him invisible.
You'll just have to wait for the devs to address MFT.

It's currently causing meltdowns, and that's not listed on the perk description, so... yes?
People on forums and such are complaining about it, but that doesn't make the perk bugged in the game.

Is MFT bugged?

Big difference in things that were changed in the first couple of years where both the players and devs were learning and something that was in the game for half a decade and was fine.
Then things like Singularity, MFT, Billy, and Freddy. Shouldn't be changed, because it's no longer the first few years of the game therefore they are fine.
-
I don't think you understand what buffs are. Making it so Lightborn reduces stuns from being blinded is not a buff when before Lightborn made it impossible to stun with blinds.
Not to mention Lightborn hardly needs to be nerfed. It's already not a popular perk.

@ThatRedPyramidThing said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3523817#Comment_3523817
The game is existed for 6 years without it just fine.
By this logic, the devs should never change anything and we should be left with OG maps without entity blockers and BNPs that instant complete a gen.
Before they made BT basekit, BT was basically a must-run perk as without it killers basically had a free down at hook. It's a necessary change.
-
Endurance after unhook has to exist otherwise there's nothing stopping a survivor who just got unhooked from being instantly down right at the hook. It gives the just unhooked survivor a chance to get to play rather than just immediately be put back on hook.

hard to get bloodpoints in private match, otherwise i would agree. If me and my friends never had to play a public match again we wouldnt.
Once again, another person ignoring the math above pointing out that in game time versus time spent loading/searching/watching is a real issue.
You don't need bloodpoints in customs since you have access to everything with no cost.

My man, please stop commenting or stating your opinion,as it is hurtful, disrespecting and dismissive.
Matthew Cote, the game director, said the same thing "Just play something else"..
And the killer community exploded in anger and made fun of him, memes were born and persist to this day.
Pretty good job so far.
Killer's community reactiom to these issues, and how SoloQ is miserable has to be stopped.
There's genuine worrisome that the Killer's community has become so hypocrite,so childish and apathetic, and the reason beign they lose 1 game in like 10..ridoculous.
I really hope my statement is wrong and all I see are just the bad apples, who are ready to pounce with ridicule every survivor's complaint.
The fact is if you are consistently finding yourself not having fun and getting angry with the game, continuing to play the game will not help you. The best thing you can do is take a break and come back later.
There's far too many players forcing themselves to engage in an activity they are not currently enjoying which is only wasting their own time when it could be better suited doing anything else.
