I get you're trying to rile me up, but you know you're looking like a clown, right?
What am I to do, if someone follows me to the hook, unhooks the person immediatly after I hook them, while I'm 3 feet away, and then the person who got unhooked runs in front of me to eat a hit with BT?
Or, perhaps I'm playing a super territorial killer like trapper or certain hag builds; Am I just supposed to not hook around my traps and go patrol somewhere with no traps where I'm literally just a m1 killer?
Alternatively, alternatively, I could be chasing someone else, simply near the hook after someone gets unhook, and the person who has DS has an entire minute to be able to body block while I'm chasing someone else.
What about cases where there's only 3 survivors left, I've chased one off a gen, and I know the other one is going for the unhook? Should I just let the third person take me all the way to the otherside of the map?
Honestly, there's a thousand reasons you could think of that aren't just tunnelling or camping that DS and BT can be used (and sometimes abused) to get a second chance when the killer is making the only right calls in certain situations.
It's DS and BT everyone has been playing around them since they came out it's not that hard to wait 12 seconds or slug a bit or just hit the guy with bt let him run and mend
-
Chip and dale are the two best dbd characters so far
-
If your not running four exposed perks on nemises and yelling ONE PUNCH ! Everytime you down a survivor your playing him wrong
-
There fun perks people like them

You can still compare apples and oranges.
Also (in my opinion) that makes my argument even more valid. The killer can tunnel 1 (sometimes even 2) people straight out of the game without having to use a perk slot to do it. As a killer you can do it without any perks or add ons, you just need to be dedicated.
In order to counter tunneling survivors need ds, and borrowed time at bare minimum. Sometimes you have all your perks be anti-tunneling as well as sometimes items, and sometimes (depending on how committed the killer is to tunnel) that still doesn't work. Perks and items like ds, unbreakable, borrowed, and flashlights.
I appreciate the points you're making, also you're not going out of your way to be rude even though we disagree, which is nice.
No ty but it's not that you can't compare them it's that there's no point in comparing them. Because there just to different a perk v a player behavior
Also extra stun time wouldn't hurt a tunnely campy killer just the ones playing fair
I would say a speed boost after a stun would achieve the same thing and keep all players actively engaged but we already have that

This is a fair point, and I counter with the same argument against tunneling. Tunneling does the same thing for whatever survivor the killer does it to, and this perk would help counter tunneling, which is what most people would use it for.
But tunneling isn't a perk apples n oranges
-
Would be a waste if we can't carry over accounts, and considering the amount of dlc and cosmetics buy to support the game, a huge slap in the face for players if dlc dosent carry over

I was having a discussion with a friend. Just curious on what other people think and why. Please don't comment and give no reason behind what you think.
So, killers have perks that force exhaustion, extend healing times, give survivors blindness and other things. What would you guys think of a survivor perk that extended stuns duration for killers. Not a lot, something like 1.5x or 2x stuns. So a pallet stun is normally 2 seconds, so with this perk it would be 3, or 4 seconds.
This wouldn't really help with pallet stuns because most killers (in my experience) respect pallets, and most killers (in my experience) won't let you get a head-on stun more than once in a trial. Also, I don't think it would be fair for this to affect flashlights blinds. This perk would come in most handy for extending ds stun.
I also don't think even 2x stun duration is enough to turn this into a meta perk. More so (in my opinion) I see this as a perk that people would only really start running if they start getting hard tunneled several games in a row. Although most people I know don't even run ds unless this is the case.
So what do you guys think?
Bad idea bc no one likes not being able to play the game and extending stuns means extending the time killers just don't get to play
-
No "drops pallet teabags and clicks flashy repeatedly"
-
Drop the survivor or go to another hook there's a hundred of them
-
We have meme perks there just cooler than killer meme add-ons
We have headon deception redherring and pebble
No mither ofc
-
More like noed nerf why? It's a weak perk nowa days just keep track of dull totems go back to cleanse the lite one if your trying to save a mate. If not just dip give the killer his 1 kill. Only thing I hate is a facecamper that gets 1 camper 1st down first hook for no reason then gets a second bc of noed

I have people body block me while they're running DS. 9 times out of 10, Borrowed Time is on them so they abuse it to protect the unhooker, knowing for a fact that even if I wait out the BT and down them, they have 60 seconds to get away.
DS is not healthy in its current state- I don't think it ever will be, not when paired with the tactic of abusing Borrowed Time or using it to body block and have 60 seconds to crawl away and get picked up.
I've certainly also have the situation where I've hooked someone else after the person who has DS has already been unhooked, and they intentionally throw themselves at me to make me eat their DS while its still active. The HEALTHIEST DS would be is if it was disabled once another person was hooked at all, or downed while the DS user is outside of the killer's terror radius.
Leave the hook alone 😂 bother someone else that's working a gen while your trying to bother the hook counters bt and D's you think D's is unhealthy bc your the kind of killer DS and bt are suppose to punish 🤡🤡🤡

Before I began levelling up Laurie, every time I got tunnelled I was like "Damn, this is why DS is meta!"
Now that I have unlocked DS, I don't think I actually have even been able to use it, ever. It's either because the killer decided to tunnel me 61 seconds after I got unhooked because they didn't find me, or I touched a gen and forgot that it deactivates the perk.
Even if I was able to use it, I would use it a very little amount of times. It's such a situational perk that uses up a precious perk slot. Why is it meta?
Bc the easiest way for the killer to win is to get someone out of the game as soon as possible. 3 survivors are easier to juggle than 4. DS makes this take longer, making it a better have and not need than a need and not have perk. Plus it still feels great to hit that skill check and run.

@AgustinPichi2 said:
Why the killer's tactic bad? It's the same as genrush no?
Genrush means to quickly finish the gens to do your objectives.
Tunneling is killing people quickly to finish his/her objectives.
Normally people say that when you tunnel someone they don't play the game, so my question is What is to play the game? Is it just repair a motor 80seconds 5 times to finish the game?
People say that when you tunnel their game finishes quickly and they don't have chance to play, but when you genrush, survivors finish quickly the game, so isn't that the same? There are videos in youtube where the 5 gens pop up in 3 minutes. But when that happens people see it as a strategy, but If it was the other way, the killer killing all 4 in 3 minutes It would be toxic?
The killer has four survivors to hunt, they have the option to do other things like find someone else and do a different chase. Survivors are either getting chased, doing a gen, or crouching repeatedly at each other. Survivors dont genrush they just don't have anything else to do.

Aside from Hillbilly, assuming you don't use Spirit Fury, which killer is good for you?
Any killer you find yourself brutforcing pallets with
-
DS has never been a healthier perk for the game than it is now. There's probably some weird situations where a killer doesn't tunnel and eats a DS anyway but it feels few and far between. Plus anytime you eat a ds and didn't tunnel you know that guy wasn't being productive anyways
-
We just got rpd I'm good if the devs wanna take a prolonged map break infavor of fixing and balancing everything
-
He was the only really unique killer it's a shame more ppl didn't put the time into mastering his old kit. A true OG killer experience
-
Add-ons to change the angle or shape of rites of judgement would be cool
A series of stackable add-ons for widening the trails would be cool to
-
It's my favorite map the traps are hidden inside the entity covered hallways :)
Pls it's just fun looks nice and different hope for more maps like it
Navigation was difficult until my 5th or 6th game now it's easy to get around
-
I was hoping to see abunch of pictures of an entire map having every pallet destroyed.
Needless to say I'm disappointed

Trappers take what they can get

(found in this https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/217721 dev update)
I know I'm sort of beating a disintegrated horse at this point, but I genuinely question if the Devs understand that people have been asking for more objectives for Survivor not Killer. I also wonder if they remember that post.
I like boon totems but I agree killers should be able to destroy blessed totems and killers shouldn't a noise notification when a boon is created

Best patch ever

It might be like ghostface adding both addons to recharge is 17 seconds compared to 16 with just one
Wish devs would dish out some bp for all the testing the community does 😂 we go way past just playing around on the ptb

The mechanic is cool, but the effects are too much overpowered, a lot of value.
The 100% healing speed, no scratchmarks and no aura reading are ridiculously strong effects to be put even on a boom perk.
I would love to have a Vigil AoE, for example.
Vigil is an aoe

Killer should spawn on the hook just a thought...

Spirit can’t see scratch marks in phase which is more of a big deal when Spirit’s directional phase sound is in the game.
Meh she's so fast the direction sound just makes it so I know if I'm the right side of the pallet or not, the killer instinct is waaaaay more powerful than scratch marks.
-
This upcoming patch is what everyone has wanted for yrs I hope we get more just like it going forward. Bhvr has made good changed since this game started, they've just come soooo slow and they've sprinkled them in little by little for some reason. Big balance like this are the way to go

Wonder if the spirit backlash led to the addon.
Plague feels smoother to play but didn't mess around with her addons.
Yeah plauge feels great her add-ons are awesome to. It's just her infect rate add-ons aren't adding up right. There really good just not making sense numbers wise

“Spirits new killer instinct addon is straight busted pls nerf make it so survivors that she phase walks near scream instead. Right now this addon kills the counter play her nerfs created just seems dumb. Either leave her as is or commit to the nerfing.”
How does it kill the counterplay? It doesn’t affect the VERY CLEAR directional audio nerf she got that lets survivors pin point her location. Also, it removes her ability to see scratch marks.
It's killer instinct you don't need scratch marks and it let's find survivors in lockers for free. The audio isn't that great but idc just having a sign she's phasing is all I've ever wanted.
-
The plauge infection rate add-ons seem funk ATM so hopefully some bug fixes or text clarification to make sense of how the add-ons are working
3 blink nurse seems fine until recharge addons are used rip
Spirits new killer instinct addon is straight busted pls nerf make it so survivors that she phase walks near scream instead. Right now this addon kills the counter play her nerfs created just seems dumb. Either leave her as is or commit to the nerfing
Hope deathslinger nerfs are reduced he just feels bad to play ATM

I agree that Boon Totems are nice in concept, but have been poor in execution. And starting off with a couple of “safe perks” just wasn’t the way to go.
Again, this is my opinion but as a survivor I would like to see some variety other than heal quicker, see gen auras, etc.
Im sure will get more variety in the future they only release 3 perks per character these two were a good start.
Can't wait to get a trap blessing like haunted grounds

Circle of healing: Heal 100% faster within range.
Does that sound very creative?
The very concept of boon totems is creative
These first two are just testing the waters
-
The devs are very creative with perks especially considering most people who look at the game would run out of ideas after sprint burst

You must get some pretty meh survivors then, who let you use it to its max for no reason.
Its one of the most used killer perks in the game everyone gets value out of it
-
It's one of the strongest perks in the game 😂
-
It'll be a meme ultra rare probably a good combo with lethal pursuer thinking of doing all chase perks and no slow down with the new ultra rare addon and the extra hat.
Won't be good but fun I think
-
The killer instinct addon is op asf detects survivors in lockers counter all draw backs of the best add-ons spirit is still spirit
-
The healing boon totem needs some adjusting and survivors shouldn't be able to lite totems an unlimited number if times
Reverting or at least easing up on the slingers nerfs would be great he feels terrible on ptb
And the dust coming into the game I'm indifferent on they need to work on the audio que a bit to make it louder and a bit more accurate.
Ps the new spirit killer instinct addon is broken asf pls nerf
-
The time it takes to get in the locker wait 12 seconds then exit the locker negates the time saved by the tool box. And that's without factoring in travel time from a gen to a locker and back to a gen.
I actually think current built to last is better for tool boxes and genrushing but nobody does it bc it's not worth the perk slot. It's a meme perk that will be memeier now for more flashlight or super fast healing medkit builds
