I would be in favor of it, as I particularly dislike how several modern maps are set during the daytime. That is by far my greatest issue with them.
-
Personally, I hope it is accompanied by a prominently displayed point total on the screen, so that overly self-assured players get humbled.

Her infection doesn't bounce according to physics. It bounces to automatically track survivors.
And then they tell you to dodge it lol
-
Another "the new killer isn’t unfair" post, destined to curdle faster than milk the moment the nerfs inevitably roll in.
-
Bro, if you eat a DS, you tunneled. The perk shuts itself off the moment the survivor does basically anything. If they go out of their way to run at you just to use it, that’s them throwing, no reason to complain. And let’s be real, it’s the only actually viable anti-tunnel perk left.
-
It would work better as a skill-check perk that rewards precise timing with a slow passive heal. Land a set number of consecutive great skill checks, and you gain a health state.

- Important to keep in mind that her Headform is useless against non infected survivors, so if a survivor is infected and in danger, someone should help this person with bodyblocking. Bodyblocking as a non infected is key. It is similar to Twins, group up and protect teammates.
- You should always have a fungi at your hand - either for yourself or for your teammates. It is also better to eat the fungi first and then heal - saves some time. You should never give her a free health state by becoming broken. Cleansing also forces her to switch to bodyform, which means she will switch back to headform and creates a new fungi.
- If you are cleansing and the killer is not in chase, play a bit safe because getting rid of infection is more important than a gen.
- She still struggles against tiles with windows and pallets, so these are really stong ones. In general, double pallets or interconntected short loops are pretty good against her and force her to break one pallet.
- She has a bit of hugtech but you can still hear attack sound and then react to hit. Camping a pallet is helful.
- Some perks such as Dead Hard are really strong against her because you can time it prefectly - kinda like when Nurse, Blight, or Bubba uses their M2.
- Understanding the projectile is also important, if you can avoid an infection, it means time for you and the time.
- You should never get caught in the open since even when not infected, she can still infect and then M1 you - similar to Plague or Trickster.
- She also relies a little bit on perks such as Bamboozle, so always check for her perks to not get caught off guard by a blocked window or pallet due to Blood Favour or Dissulition.
- In her headform, she has a 40meter terrorradius, so prerunning to a strong tile can be good if you feel like she's coming to you.
- AMN from Yui is really strong and funny against her since she can vault a pallet when you try to pick it up, so for the memes but also as a decent counter, it might be worth the slot - also gives you infos where your solo teammates get chased and which pallets they drop. Krasue is also that type of killer that rather outplays pallets instead of breaking them, so it provides a much against her but also against other killers.
These are some counters that I found during my matches as and against her. She is a strong killer that have some unhealthy issues but things need to settle down a little bit. However, I hope my tips can help you a little bit!
Thank you this is helpful.

I’ve noticed you around quite a few times, and you always have something meaningful to say. I’ve always enjoyed seeing your name pop up, it’s like a guarantee that I’m about to read something worthwhile. I’d be happy to gift you something as a token of appreciation if BHVR can't be bothered. Genuinely.

you gotta fake it a bit. similar to how ppl jump through shack and take advantage of the weird camera angle to trick the killer. You or can act like ur gonna do that but dont and the whiff is nice. honestly i just focus on windows. and taking sharp turns to avoid the vomit. if you dont get leeched its a pretty easy time.
Having to rely on techs and bad krasue awareness instead of a loop setup isn't particularly healthy. Still, I keep trying what you suggest and it's not working.

I have yet to die by her but got ehr adept my first round as her. Vaults are kind of a weakness for her. Most of the time as shes vaulting you can just step behind her and vault as well. She cant break pallets in head form as far as i can tell, so just keep vaulting stuff and i fair pretty well. i focus mainly on windows
I tried doing that and she just hit me while I was vaulting. Am I doing anything wrong?

Don’t listen to people who say this perk is bad just because it’s “too hard” or that “you won’t be consistent.” That mindset is exactly why DbD has reached a point where perks are only seen as strong if their value is basically handed to you. If you actually take the time to get good with it, this perk can save you a huge amount of time on every generator.
The only real downsides are the RNG factor of getting Hyperfocus started at the beginning of a gen, and the fact that it really shines when you’re uninterrupted. That means it works best either in a SWF or at MMR levels where survivors aren’t going down 20 seconds into a chase.
-
I NEED a twunk in DbD RIGHT NOW. 😭
-
It looks the same to me. Perhaps it's just an illusion caused by the camera being higher off the ground when you're hooked?
-
DbD favours profit.
-
Honestly, if he doesn’t have a versatile, low-skill, high-reward ability, he’s probably going to flop. But if he gets a high-skill, high-reward ability, which is the better option, most players likely won’t pick him up.
-
The lengths some people go to to justify third party tools, unintended techs and glitches is insanse.
Yes, that is cheating.
-
BHVR really needs to stop thinking a measly Bloodpoint bonus is enough compensation for content that feels like psychological warfare. If they're going to test my sanity, they better come up with something actually worth the headache
-
This kind of experience would undoubtedly humble many people and significantly improve the tone and conduct of the trials.
-
You're being taken down in a single hit regardless, and he's significantly faster than you. Meanwhile, you're effectively broadcasting your location, allowing him to move seamlessly from one survivor to the next. His ability to chain downs is only made easier by a power that Legion essentially hands to him at no cost.

A good nerf for a killer who has to down you with m1 with no chase power?
Singularity has better map control, and a ridiculous chase power with no cooldown, what Kaneki has to down you in a decent map like Azarov against decent survivors?
Singu at leats takes skill, that can't be denied.
-
I agree that this shouldn't stack, but I doubt it will be nerfed until certain killers stop zooming from point A to point B in the time it takes me to scratch my backside.
Besides, survivors ideally shouldn’t be clustering close enough to benefit from each other’s Vigil perk in the first place.
I think it’s also worth noting that while some killers are clearly impacted by this combo, others don’t even flinch—that’s the level of power discrepancy that really needs to be addressed.
-
While I can't personally predict whether further nerfs are coming, I wouldn't be surprised if they do happen.
What's more concerning, though, is the extent of mental gymnastics some people try to pull off to justify the clear power creep.

Funny how even those coordinated Survivor groups you mention—running meta builds and using Discord—still struggle to hit a 50% escape rate, despite being among the top percent of players.
When was the last time we saw incentives for the Killer queue? Or the last time it took less than 30 seconds to find a match as Killer? The reality is that a significant portion of the player base is gravitating toward Killer because, at the moment, playing Survivor has become a frustrating and often miserable experience.
Historically, my playtime has been evenly split—50% Survivor, 50% Killer. Lately, however, I find myself playing Survivor only around 20% of the time, and almost exclusively in SWF. The remaining 80% is spent playing Killer, which speaks volumes about the current state of the Survivor experience.
Of course, some might respond with, 'But Cass, I main Killer and whenever I play Survivor, it’s easy and relaxing.' To that, I’d say: naturally. If you’re a seasoned Killer jumping into a Survivor match and going against a newer Killer who performs worse than the average bot, then yes—it’s going to feel chill. That experience isn’t reflective of the standard matchmaking reality for most players. Those who make such claims should consider putting in a few dozen hours into the Survivor role before making sweeping judgments about it.
Nevertheless, posts like these tend to lose weight when the author hasn't taken the time to personally engage with the aspects they're criticizing. If you're not actively playing both roles and experiencing the current state of the game firsthand, it's difficult to provide meaningful insight.

I do not believe that requiring a small payment will deter individuals who are intent on hacking. In today’s world, there are countless ways to generate income, and even individuals without formal employment can afford to purchase multiple copies of Dead by Daylight.
And if they possess sufficient skill, they may still find ways to acquire the game without spending any of their own money.
-
Games are meant to be fun.
I can understand if people get mad at leavers, I do too, but to be fair if they are addicted to the game and not having fun at all due to any number of reasons (some absurd, others quite valid) instead of quitting they'll just keep going next hoping to find a worthwhile trial.
-
Dude this is just a poll.
-
I main survivor and I keep getting Nurses dropping map offerings and having aura read builds, that's why I made the poll…
-
I'm not sure what you're referring to—most individuals who actively participate in the forums have likely already tried him out. The general consensus appears to be that he's significantly overpowered and requires minimal effort to use effectively.
As others have already pointed out, it appears to me that you may be the one exhibiting bias in this discussion—especially in light of the statements you’ve been making.
It is difficult to imagine how anyone could reasonably justify the existence of a killer like this in the same game as one such as Legion. The disparity in power between them is simply too great.
Edit: It’s also worth noting that he has been receiving criticism largely because similar concerns have been raised about other overpowered killers for years, with little to no change. As a result, many players have grown disillusioned and stopped advocating for balance adjustments in those cases as it seems useless to do so.

Old Dbd overall was better if you ask me. The style the darkness… everything was just on the spot.
-
Not a single survivor I have been with has brought sweaty stuff and a big chunk of them don't bring anything at all.
-
To be honest, I appreciated the design of the new generators. Requiring players to fulfill a prerequisite before they could be repaired added an interesting mechanic, while also ensuring that a survivor wouldn't need to sit idle at one for 84 years.
However, the blood dispensers occasionally spawned too close to the generators, which could be disruptive for the killer.

That's like asking for each Survivor having basekit features to make them unique.
To be honest, I don't see a problem with that.

MMR is unlikely to function effectively from the start in a game that cannot accurately assess player skill.
-
Everyone's hair is awful tbh.
-
A full skin for the character would be ideal. If licensing issues prevent altering certain characters, their default skin could be enhanced with special effects, such as animated floating blood or magical black smoke. Ideally, this would not be a separate skin, but rather an optional toggle that can be applied on top of any existing skin, preserving creative flexibility.
-
singu is extremely strong people just don't bother learning it

I find it difficult to understand how a parent would allow their underage child to play a game like Dead by Daylight. Given the mature themes and the overall dark atmosphere of the game, it is certainly not an environment suitable for minors.
In any case, time will tell. However, like many others here, I do not have high expectations regarding the chapter itself. On a positive note, the quality-of-life updates appear promising.
-
That "playstyle" is not meta and is easily countered, except in Solo Queue where coordination is limited. However, it's precisely this issue that prompted the recent update. Solo Queue is already a frustrating experience for many, and we don't need gameplay approaches that exacerbate the problem. Additionally, Killer queue times are already extremely long.
-
That largely depends on individual perspective; however, on the whole, considering the extended wait times typically associated with playing as Killer, it is likely a significantly more enjoyable experience compared to playing as Survivor. The Survivor queue tends to be nearly instantaneous, which can likely be attributed to the relatively low number of players willing to endure the associated challenges and frustrations of that role.
-
More skins for anyone is always good!
-
Nerfs are deserved but we should wait to see how they turn out after a while before nerfing him further.
I don't expect him to get buffed back up ever though.
-
Lightborn is a perfectly valid perk.
-
On occasion, when I’m utilizing Empathy or similar perks, I notice a survivor running out of bounds, which is quite amusing. Today, I also encountered a Legacy Prestige 3 Claudette who hadn’t even reached 1,000 hours of gameplay, and their Steam account showed no progression in levels. Quite suspicious, if you ask me.
-
Disregard conventional metrics for performance evaluation. What we truly need is a system that tracks the average chase duration per player, segmented by role, as this would offer a far more accurate reflection of individual skill.
Traditional statistics such as kills or escapes fail to capture the nuances of gameplay proficiency. A shorter average chase time for killers and a longer one for survivors would be far more indicative of effectiveness and mastery within their respective roles.
This metric could be standardized across all survivors, given that they function identically apart from cosmetics, while remaining specific to each killer, considering the significant variance in their powers and playstyles.
