  • infectious Fright dont need a cooldown. Thrilling Tremors, surge need remove cooldown to be a viable perks

  • BBQ is no OP, close please

  • mmr.png

Today was generally a fairly even day with the new MMR. But there were 2 game as the picture shows. New killers against 3 red rank that finished in DC after 3/4 gen done. No hooks.

  • I should take it into account, also the perks and add-ons.

Hi! I just played my first two games in life in dead by daylight (one as killer, one as survivor) - as killer i played against red and purple ranks, as survivor i played against 1 rank killer - is it normal? I didn't have any fun because i literally couldn't do nothing.

The new MMR system works well according to DEV. More time will not change anything because it is poorly designed. Clearly, the system brings together inexperienced people with veterans. The evidence is overwhelming, and the poor moderators have to deal with our anger, increased by lies and misinformation.

  • As the algorithm works internally we do not know and should not know, to avoid expoits. If we should know at least for us our MMR. To know if we are improving or not. The lie that they don't say it so that we do our best, is because they know that it works badly. You clearly can't pair new players with veterans. With this system, unbalanced games are generated for both sides. I have friends who don't want to play SWF unless we are all 4. With only a low skill player, the game is very unbalanced against good killers. A game like this you can accept, before it was rare that this happened, Now it is a constant. We have many captures that demonstrate it. It would be good if the dev showed their faces and gave a good explanation and how this is going to be fixed. For now, you only have to avoid lobbies with low skill players. Check steam profile, ask for rank. Or play killer.

  • the algorithm is perfect in his predictions. 2 brown rank + 2 randoms vs red rank killer = 4 kill. 4 red ranks vs lvl 20 killer = 4 escapes

give it time. you know a week or 2. not 24 hours. be patient child

If the mmr was working before and now they activated it, it's bullshit. If you don't have a reference and mix everyone with everyone, that's a bad idea and that's what we see. Last game killer rank 20 vs rank 2 -5 - 18 - 20. They should have taken a month with the system running and made a test, this went into production without being checked. You cannot mix people with 2 hours of play with people over 1000hrs +

  • I played 3 more games. In one we were all red rank including the killer, in the other 2 a mix. The last one is an example 2 red rank and 2 rank 18 against killer rank 2. And a rank 18 who died with 5k of point complains and is understandable. The old system had its flaws, but the rank and time played say something about the player's skill. Now it's worse.

I'm not trying to sound pithy, but have you played other ranked games? You might've played all your qualifying matches, but the people you're up against might not have...

I mean I've played lots of early season games of ranked games (like Overwatch, etc.) where despite playing my qualifying games and getting plopped into my rank, I'll see other unranked players who are clearly still in the midst of their qualifier on my team (or the opposing team). It's not that unusual. I mean yeah, it sucks because sometimes you end up with potato teammates that drag you down, but other-times you get god-tier players who assist you.

New seasons always suck at first. And that's essentially what we're experiencing here. The difference is that this is an asymmetric game, so the effects are slightly different.

I really think the biggest issue is that we don't have any actual data telling us what our MMR ratings are, or how match performance affects it. There's zero transparency and that worries me more. I can deal with crappy matches for a little while if I know it'll improve. But I don't like being in the dark about it. They need to just delete ranks entirely if they aren't going to introduce an MMR rating.

I agree that the biggest problem is that the system is not transparent. I've already played over 10 games. It seems that now I only play with players of my level, but it is an assumption. The last 10 days I was actively playing as a survivor and with this new system at first I match with any player. If the mmr was running behind, last week it didn't count. It is not clear what they consider to be a good skill. I know it is difficult to measure it. What if I can say now that the games I've had have been worse overall, or the killer was very bad or the team was. If you can clarify what you consider and how you measure the ability to stay and wait for feedback it would be good. Now the game for survivors lining up alone is a nightmare.

  • For solo Q this is nightmare

if u luck u play with another red rank. Games is 2 red rank and 2 trash players

    For killer is ez 4kill

  • i play 3 games with 3 15- 19 ranks and red rank killer and 1 game with 3 rank 1 and 1 rank 2 vs a rank 17 killer like u picture

    MMR trash

  • I can not believe it.

Now the new system is worse.

The only explanation that I find is that nobody has mmr and you can get together with any player.

  • 4 games

    1 game:

    rank 16 - 16- 18 killer rank 7
