To be fair, the range moves with the killer, whereas it would make a little more sense for it to be locked on the gen for the centre of effect. Add Lethal Pursuer and move away after kicking, and you get a 24m, 8 second aura reading letting you spot survivors 30m's away from that gen.
It was like that upon release and it was considered a bug. They changed it recently. I agree it made more sense in the bugged version.

And that combo takes up two out of four perk slots a Killer can use. Doesn't seem that broken to me.
When the other two perks are CoB and either OC or PR that's already meta material. You regress gens fast and immeditely push away any survivor who could stop the regression. And tbf, Lethal is really not needed in that build, you can just use a 3rd slowdown to fill the slot, which has been the case in these months.

The most solid excluding DLC perks is Wraith with anything from: Sloppy, Nurse's, Enduring, Brutal, Jolt, Fearmonger.

Idk what’s serious or joke here anymore…
Honestly, DbD does terrible things to us. We're all prisoners of the Entity and we didn't know.

Comments like this don’t belong to this forum. Telling people to worsen their connection to play dbd. I hope a mod sees this.
Comments like these are to lighten up the mood on a theme that's been beaten to death. Also, the suggestion was meant to be obviously sarcastic because it won't actually work, you'll just get massive packet loss and your game will become unplayable, hence the no need to bait DH, because you literally won't be able to. Cheer up.
-
After her last update, blink attacks being special, recharge and change gone, I don't think she affects perk balance that much.
Most of them aren't problematic on her specifically anymore imho. She can use NTH better than anybody, but survivors should play around that by default by making distance or using lockers. If they're letting her get up close for free then that's the major mistake.
-
Download a movie or something beefy enough for your connection while playing killer. Easiest DH counter of the century. You won't even have to bait it out.

It's extremely buggy, even if you do it correctly. I suggest not trying to reveal him while standing still if he's stalking you. He usually wins that interaction. Use LoS and make distance.

I don't feel bad at all.
If I'm being nice, I do it expecting it to reach those who are receptive. I don't care about the #########. They don't appreciate anything nice by definition.

I don't know what the conversion rate is in CND, but BHVR can have my juicy iri shards. They gonna make bank on me.

Spies from the shadows.

Of course. It still stacks and has synergy with gen kicking perks. What happens is that slugging might become more common.

Chapel spawns stupid setups very often. I don't understand how it gained fame of being a balanced map. I guess because there's potential for tight 3 gens. I guess stupid for stupid evens out.

Lots of Knights, when a survivor is being chased by a guard, will come in from the opposite side and try block/slowdown the survivor in order to give the guard a chance to catch up and hit first. Then the Knight hits the survivor a second later and they go down.
I understand that, but it doesn't work because he loses collision with hunted survivor and that's intentional.
-
Weak sauce. This just encourages gen kick botting once again. The original nerf was bad, but I wish at least they'd stuck to their guns and maybe made other changes. Gotta still milk sale on those RE chapters I guess. So much for the meta shake up mindset.

Thanks y'all!
Doesn't look like D3ad plays much Slinger (9 Slinger videos out of almost 800 videos), and Anaxandra hasn't streamed or uploaded much in about a year or two, but thanks anyways for the pointers.
I'm pretty much always looking for Slinger players where I can find them.
Ah ok, sorry about that. I remember her being a consistent streamer and she had viewership in the low hundreds. I didn't realize she'd move on to other things.
-
I don't know about every match, but it's a very fun perk to use when you see multiple flashlights. Always play it off as if you don't have it and watch confusion ensue as they don't understand how they're missing the blinds.
-
The only one off the top of my head is Anaxandra. Fairly chill streamer.

it stops infinites from existing, and means that running around a rock ends faster.
taking out bloodlust, even t2 and t3, will make the ideal play for most situations "run round rock whilst Yakety Sax plays" even without a pallet. Who needs loops if you can just run round a short wall for a minute and get enough time?
FFS, if anything, Bloodlust might be too restrictive in some situations. You can have someone start running as soon as possible, and then be on the other side of the map before the game goes "huh, you're following them, right". And not every Killer has a way to close the gap (or is in a situation to find someone else, depending on the game situation).
If you get run around a rock or a wall for a minute then I'm afraid bloodlust isn't the solution.
-
Like genuinely what is wrong with it, I can't think of one think that makes it worthy of being removed.
Do you really not see what is wrong with a mechanic that makes you win the chase because you've been losing?
Bloodlust 1 would still be acceptable in game, but tier 2 and 3 are obsolete and should've been removed, not buffed to be gained faster.
Also, the way bloodlust is maintaned after missing a lunge and how zoning killers build tiers while charging their power and keep it when they cancel is another testament of how badly implemented it is.
-
I do. Don't know if it was a bug. Probably not, given that many buildings spawn hooks upstairs. However, it was a very stupid hook and glad it got removed.
-
That describes half the roster. I'd say most of the hold w and free zoning killers can be fun to play as, but absolutely awful to go against.
-
There's too much that can't be analyzed without seeing how you actually play. If you post a video, then we can work something out.
I'll just point this one thing out, though:
Regardles of what i do, i lose 2-3 gens before a single hook
You're essentially playing an endgame build. So, this is not surprising nor problematic. Your build plans for the occurrence of losing gens. If you didn't lose gen, then every trial would be an autowin. SA is not that great in isolation to end chases fast and get early pressure. Deadlock works regardless, but without either chases pressure or additional slowdown, then the trial should naturally progress toward endgame. Which is the basket where you put your eggs.
-
The perk activates only when you're injured when you search the chest. Did you do that?
-
It's a wrestler's move known as checking the oil. Usually banned, but killers play by the Entity's rules, not human's.
-
Only to medkit healing, to yourself and others.

Dwight, Feng, Nea.
I'm not p100'ing per se, but I dump excess bp into Kate, just because she's the survivor I mained when I got her for WoO when I was brand new and levelling up multiple survivors was a waste in the old system.
I play addonless on killer, so I don't care about p100.

maybe dont use exhaustion perks then?
There are also killer items that still inflict exhaustion.
-
It's almost unheard of for me to dodge because I don't care at all. I also do other stuff while in queue. So, in general, I just hear the final countdown and then I'm in the match. The only time I might really consider it is if I'm playing Nemesis and I see multiple flashlights. I don't want to bring Franklin's because it has a very unfair way of working. And in general my build is half info, so I don't feel guilty of preying.

I don’t understand how it could be based on MMR, unless it gives each player an overall MMR level. I’m fairly sure my Myers is in garbage MMR compared to my Blight, but I don’t ever see the incentives change if I switch from Blight to Myers?
You have a global mmr for your killers, beside individual rates. It's likely based on the former.
-
Afaik the 2 gens in main hall in the positions as in the picture are considered intended spawns, even at the same time. For the rest, RPD is 3 gen central by default. The rework is just as bad as the original but for different reasons.
In general, gen distance seems to have been bugged or intentionally removed for a long time. You can really get some stupid clusters on basically any map. I recently had a 5 gen main building side on Coal Tower and the I saw the same spawn on a recent DbD League qualifier. Swamp maps can get most gens in the middle. Yamaoka often spawns 4 gens. The list goes on.

It's extremely easy to tell the difference between swf and non-swf.
For starters swf groups tend to load into the lobby simultaneously.
Secondly they are FAR MORE CORDINATED than a bunch of randoms.
Thirdly, they are often overly altruistic of each other, dropping whatever they are doing to unhook or heal their teammates.
SWF don't load nor tend to load simultaneously in a lobby. That was changed many years ago to make them join the lobby in a random pattern, same as solos. If you don't play in a SWF, then you can watch a streamer who does and you can physically see that happen the moment a match is found. Each member will pop up randomly in the lobby even if they're queued together.
-
Probably because of rendering and clipping issues.
-
There is an overreaction for sure because the perk activation is highly conditional.
I think the one very legitimate complaint is that it encourages tunneling on death hook, though. Like, you see someone who has SB or Lithe and now you kinda risk getting omega punished as killer if you play fair.
-
I'm pretty sure I've finished them all. Last Minute Hero is absolutely disgusting, ngl.
I think the one that gave me most trouble lately was the unhook during egc. Either it never went to egc, or my teammates were death hook anyway.
I got it barely (still a trade) with the unhook build against a Legion with STBFL and let me tell you that ######### is ######### busted since they lowered the hit cooldown (ok, it was busted for facecamping even before). I literally almost couldn't unhook at all even with NOLB and full stacks of Desperate Measures.

I've edited the post because I forgot to add some additional discription, so see if its still now fair or if it's still not?
You can shorten the description by saying it deactivates on a conspicous action.
The perk is fair. Still, it has the same fundamental issue of being a band-aid.
I'll stick to maining killer.

The idea to make survivors oblivious instead of making the killer undetectable is interesting. And while I understand his point about 'things BHVR might actually be able to do in 3 weeks', most of the suggestions are just putting a band aid on mechanics that should be changed/reworked entirely.
I actively disagree with some of his suggestions when combined together, namely the increased drone radius, extra drone(s), and exposed meter never decaying (mostly this last one). There's a difference between 'people will 3 gen with her regardless' and 'let's actively make a 3 gen strategy a guaranteed win if you get good gen spawns'.
Let's take the tamest version of his suggestion: 5 total drones, no increased radius at all, and exposed meter never decays, but increases slower. Now if you camp a 3 gen from the start, you've got each gen covered by a drone, and at least two approach areas covered as well. Survivors can't even get near the 3 gen without telling the killer where they are by either alerting or turning off a drone, and eventually they're guaranteed to be instantly downable in your 3 gen.
This also actively *discourages* placing drones map wide. You want them all together so that when someone gets exposed, which is now inevitable, they're as close to you as possible. Placing a drone across the map gives counter play for the survivor to possibly become exposed when the killer is busy or too far away, which means doing so is 'suboptimal' and no one will ever do it.
And that doesn't even take into account perks or map layout. You get a 3 gen in the corner of the map, like dead Dawg behind gallows for example, and it's trivial to set up a drone perimeter to cover that quadrant. It also becomes impossible to turn off every drone since you can't interact with them if you have a claw trap on.
This is perfectly put and highlights the broader balance issue here i.e. her power is territorial by design. I can't see how simple number tweaks will make playing her without a 3 gen strat a superior choice.
-
Definitely a bug.
You should make a report following the template.
It looks like the unhook completed (regained control of your character) exactly as the last gen popped. I think that's somehow what overrid Adren because of the animation transition.
-
If it wasn't rushed, then it's even more disappointing.
-
I dunno. I have the same reaction even when I play AS the Knight.
-
DH is a subject on its own merit, as it would be bloodlust in your example.
However, I fail to see how DH is particularly relevant there. Sounds like the Legion just got spun with the pallet already down. Even if they were waiting out DH, that event should've never occured.
