Lost me at buy.
Could be cool, but it's whatever.
-
At the current pace of Bhv this isn't far off.

Tbf when you get a company constantly ######### you over for 6 years, you start to lose sight of a positive outlook.
I don't think there is a positive outlook nowadays.
-
Tunneling is usually defined as a toxic trait rather than the killer "just playing the game" and so this solution in this context just doesn't make sense.
Even if it's just the context is the killer just playing the game, there are so many different situations that you cannot just say "this" and make it work like that in terms of who the killer goes after.
-
Well I surely don't think it should be that dark, so just maybe your onto something Bran...don48
-
My answer to the question is nothing. BHVR just doesn't like putting in the work.
-
Tunneling is specifically targeting another player for whatever reason. One example is maybe their name is Gay David. The killer specifically went after them.
Going after the person who just got unhooked since you are nearby isn't tunneling. It's just playing the game.
If I get upset at survivor that's looping me and just keep chasing them, that's tunneling.

It's not necesarily people who play Bubba who decide to facecamp
But more people who want to facecamp decide to play Bubba
Can confirm.

Always fun to see bhvr try and nerf strong killers, but never put any effort into making other killers stronger.
-
Well we already know why they did this. They just want people to buy the skins at that time and drive up sales. There isn't any other reason.
They've gone back on their word of releasing non licensed cosmetics because they want people to use their real money at that time.
Now, I of course wont defend them, but if they had simply done it from the start, there really wouldn't be any issue.
-
I don't prefer Hacker, but that's besides the point. If they called me a hacker, I dont know, I'd have a good laugh maybe end with calling them a loser or get good or something.

They don't look any more out of place than a vast majority of cosmetics in the core game do:

Big facts.
-
I certainly don't feel bad and you shouldn't either.
-
Just take away struggling and keep the chance to get off hook. Survivors can try and get off, but cannot suicide on hook.
Could even only allow the chance to get off hook only after one person has died if you really want.
Seems reasonable. Having to spam to struggle is annoying anyway.
-
I've said itany times and I'd say it again. Makes all perks free in the bloodweb. That pretty much fixes it.
-
No reason to try and stop slugging for 4 kills. If the people don't like being slugged, they can leave. That's why I'd leave if I cannot hit a survivor because the devs think being able to loop for 5 minutes with no way if getting hit is okay...which does actually need to be changed actually...
-
A retirement letter. Seriously, Deathverse is even relaunching. Dead By Daylight should too.
I think the game needs major overalls that they either won't do or cannot do.

Why does this need a fix?

I don't see the point. Iron maiden does exactly what it needs to do.
Let's killers open lockers faster, either to reload or to check it.
Gives a notification that a survivor exists a locker and exposes them.
This in my opinion is pretty good for a baseline perk and your rework could be changed into its own.
-
The first perk would be a good mirror for aftercare(?). Not too sure about unhooking faster though, so I'd leave that out as give it a different effect
The second and third perk just aren't worth continuing with.
-
Completely terrible idea and the reason why is..why do survivors need to be babysat even more?
Some games survivors will be punished for bad unhooks and taken out of the early. Some won't. There isn't any problem being solved, but making survivors even more invincible.
-
You are correct. I am and have accused the devs of lying AND spreading false information, whether that be purposefully or accidentally.
-
I only continue to play the game, albeit very rarely, because I have some, just a small sliver of hope, it will one day become a good game. That is the only reason besides having bought the game of course and some of the dlc content since otherwise it would be a waste of time.
-
Nothing outdated about it. The other play is let the other survivor have chance at hatch. You think killers like not being able to hit survivors for minutes at a time isn't outdated?
-
Maybe slowing his power recovery, but the rest is just overkill.
-
Dang, first noed now this. The cryvivors win again 😔.
-
Yeah I'd say change it, either by breakable wall or something else. It's an annoying thing that is just too loopable.
-
A simpler change would be just adding all perks into the bloodweb pool. DLC are still dlc and now all players can have access to each perk. No new monetization method needed.
Purchasing dlc may just give you the perks on start as a head start at tier 1 maybe.
-
I cannot get behind these changes. They don't even highlight the reason tunnelling may occur or how to actually prevent it.
-
I wouldn't not want Thrill to be changed to not being able to defend hexes and I didn't even want it changed to begin with.
The only change I would want is to have it give us notifications for when a player interacts with a hex.
-
That's my suggestion yeah. That and having them recycled instead of having to go pick them up. Of course you still will be able to.
-
Classic Frank. That'd be cool.
-
Not if you play as killer that isn
-
They have a lot of time to do anything. They probably won't. It's been a while since most of killers have been touched in a meaningful way. I mean look at slinger. They ain't fixing him anytime soon either.

That's an interesting thought... These new forums do focus on their other games and BHVR as a whole as opposed to iust DbD. Is it possible they're preparing to jump ship?
I would hope. It certainly would give me the satisfaction of seeing the game go down after all this time.
-
There isn't any reason not to. It's the easiest and sometimes smartest choice.
-
I don't see what's so outdated. Is it because people just don't like it and so its outdated? Being able to go through walls is cool and not outdated.
Loops and tiles are a better example of something that is outdated.
Nurse is in a position where any meaningful change would probably be bad. Like noed and we see what happened there.
-
To prevent something you may want to find the problem with it. Find and define. Without that, you might just break it more.
Not allowing the hookage of a survivor twice in a row is not a solution. This would cause more slugging for people who were just on the hook. People would complain.
Killers wouldn't need to worry about hooking them since they can't. Leave em and find someone else. Doesn't seem half bad for the killer in some situations. With this, there isn't a reason to have BT basekit. Killer can't hook AND you have endurance? That couldn't stay. Easier slugging and downs and BT comes back into people's kits.

Agree to disagree. :) There is most definitely skill in looping.
I'm not saying there isn't skill in looping. I'm saying having the ability to loop for such long periods is what can cause killers to be spiteful rather than the fact you are skillful.
-
Trust me, it isn't the fact your good. It's the fact you can actually run the killer for 3 minutes. It's terrible.
-
Gross. But like it's neat.....so cool beans
-
Looping. It costs too much time. I've been able to mind game and still lose. It's not a good system at all. It needs a total rework or at least less ways a survivor can do it. That is my biggest frustration and why I resort to tunneling and camping.
I've been better in the past, but the age of the game is showing and it's getting annoying.
-
I guess I'll call facts.
-
It really is neither. Both sides know exactly what's happening and are fine with it.
Killer wants the mori, survivor wants to stop it. It's a stalemate until one of the relents.
-
Yeah, I've stopped playing a lot. Now I barely play. If there was some health updates I'd be good with that. Deal with some bugs, cheaters, current killer and survivor balancing, map balancing.
We can deal with new cosmetics and stuff. I'm sure we'll survive with no new updates that aren't health related.
Maybe they'd even decide to compensate Slinger for killing him.

multiplayer games require a steady stream of income to maintain and develop. they cant just give stuff for free. they need you to buy it.
Nobody said they had to give away things for free though 🤔.
-
It can be rough, but as we know, everyone has their own way of describing this stuff and each scenario happens for a reason. Don't discourage them directly, but make it to where the killer doesn't really need to do so in order to get kills and the such.

Technically making 1 (survivors become weaker) means you already do the 2 (killers become stronger)
Dependant on how it actually is implemented sure.
-
It was only a test and it's best it doesn't make it into the game.
-
1: less loops, includes windows and pallets
2: make killers better. Let em be strong.
3: I'm not sure on a third so I'll add in change the egc
