I like the team play aspect of survivor. Doing saves is probably my favourite thing, especially if it's a really risky, crazy save to attempt (and we have no better options, obviously). I also like doing dedicated healer builds and just, like, emptying a med kit into someone in three seconds. I don't know why it's so satisfying, but it is.
I do agree that the gens feel long and tedious. I enjoy the RNG scavenger hunt aspect of playing against Pig, and I'm always perfectly happy to get a hat because it's something different to do. I don't know how much it would mess up the game flow if survivors weren't stationary on gens for so long, but I'd love to have tasks that required moving around more often.

Okay, but things that happen during chase are most of what chase is, aren't they?
Not to me, stunning Killers and vaulting vault locations & Pallets occupies way less time of the chase than the running.
-
The common use for doing the struggle is to warn that the Killer is nearby.
Doing nothing IS the way to tell you that it's safe.
At least that's how it started, after a year or so, people started mixing it up.
-
I like it as it rarely matters to me, i usually want my Make Your Choice target.
When hit though, it's my most disliked Perk, thanks to the effect being a stun.

Because it's the point of a match where your skills are tested? And it's also the only point where you get to interact with the killer? If you don't see why it's fun that's fine but the more objectives you give survivors the more they're just doing dumb minigames and not doing the one thing that actually requires skill.
I don't any amount of skill at all, whether i win or lose as Survivor.
Interacting with the Killer is more than fine by me, but not in this monotonous manner.
With Killer, the entire chase feels different, in a good way.

Silent hill is in another dimension that somehow summon the sinners. The lore is interesting if I do say so myself.
Ah, thanks for that.

I mean if you do not feel an ounce of satisfaction while being chased by killer a.k.a the most braincells required time during the match, then I'm sorry buddy but looks like survivor role is not for you.
I don't even see how being chased could even create satisfaction, as you don't do anything worthy of satisfaction: You're found and now you're being chased.
Things that happen during the chase is a different story, like stunning and losing them, but the chase itself? I don't see it.
-
The game wants you to hook them, so the Dying state is (sort of) less dangerous to a Survivor's life.
I mean if they died on their 3rd down from now on, they would also at least get Soul Guard as a basic ability.
-
That's true, but no date has been given yet.
-
It gives them Blindness, so it does cancel it out.
The Third Seal is a Token-based Hex Perk though, and it'll lose them all upon being cleansed.
Hitting them again is no problem, but it means OoO won't be cancelled out permanently from the first hit.
-
The eyes must be somewhere low in the ribcage then.

PH is.. kinda alive and not at the same time. I can explain it but it'll contain SH2 spoilers and idk how y'all feel about having that spoiled.
You can put it in a spoiler tag.
Like so...
Pyramid Head loves lolis.
-
A change of pace can feel nice.
I love me some Wraith, but after too much of him, i can even enjoy a match or 2 as fricking Nurse.
If you don't feel tired of Spirit though, there's really no need to change besides just getting to know other Killers.
Also, having all Perks on a main of yours is just nice to have.
That's just how i see it though.
-
I usually recloak and use obstacles to throw them off, then catch them from a different angle, if possible.
If there's Healthy Survivor #1 that i'm chasing, Injured Survivor #2 happens to be nearby & i then hit Injured Survivor #1, there's a high chance that i'll go for Injured Survivor #2 next.
Injured Survivor #1 just got a speed burst while #2 here runs at regular speed, and i like being rewarded for hooking Survivors, so #2 is the fastest way to get those bonuses.
-
Well i'm sure it could hit that 90%, but that's tough since they have to consider all of these different Killer Powers, Killer statistics (Terror Radius size, movement speed, etc.), Perks, maps and all that jazz.
There's just a lot that they have to consider in this game.
-
She's most likely still alive, but i like to think that the Plague died to that disease she likes to vomit.
Have you ever seen the zombie ants? They're a real thing.
So this lady's simply been taken over by a beefed-up version of that, and it's using her memories to make her speak and act like her old self.
But her own life's already gone, the body belongs to the goopy goo now.
But that's just me.
I'm severely lacking on Silent Hill lore btw: Is Executioner alive?
Or is it a spawn of hell?
Or does it not even exist and Silent Hill 2 is just a bad dream?

So the unfairness is built in the matchmaking? What kind of matchmaking is this?
Matchmaking doesn't take played hours into account.
If it would, and if you like to play a lot, you could eventually no longer find anyone, or find the few who also played thousands of hours, who could be anywhere in the world, so ping would often be very high if you did find them.
-
Probably because if they wouldn't allow those people to connect with people with 600 hours or lower, they'd get huge waiting times.
-
Performance.
-
I remember back when i reluctantly tried Make Your Choice instead of Save The Best For Last.
I'm now never going back to STBFL.
-
Don't like late-game-only Perks, so i'd pretty much rework the entire thing.
Maybe something like...
Blood warden
When you hook a Survivor, the Generator that has the most repair progress below 100% and isn't already blocked by Entity Blockers becomes blocked by Entity Blockers until that Survivor is unhooked.
The Entity Blockers will force off any Survivors still repairing it.
It'll stack, meaning it can block multiple Generators by having multiple Survivors hooked.
"...and isn't already blocked by Entity Blockers..." is added so that, when you stack it, it doesn't choose the same Generator again because it would still have the highest repair progress.
This would also make it so, if a Generator is already blocked by Corrupt Intervention, Dead Man's Switch, Thrilling Tremors or Repressed Alliance, Blood Warden would pick a different Generator.

Boring compared to how wonderfully interactive hanging on a hook is?
Compared to that?
Yes, absolutely boring.
-
Mmm not toxic, but as one of your 4 Survivors, i would definitely chalk up that trial as a very boring one.
Purely for the slugging btw, idc about anyone else's Perks ever.
-
Even if it comes, it won't be anytime soon.
They wanna bring DbD1 to next-gen first.

"Dead by Daylight - Even Though We Have A Map That Exists During Daytime"

Not, i love the guy.

What would those perks be? What killer do you think it'd work best on?
I don't really care which Killer it works best on, cause even if i knew, i'd play Wraith anyway.
- Barbecue & Chili
- Hex: Devour Hope
- Hex: Undying
- Pop Goes The Weasel
A "Windstorm" or 2 would be absolutely recommended, to speed over to your Hex Totems if necessary.
B&C to locate your next victim, which will be another incentive to leave the 24-meter radius of H: DH.
H: U to revive H: DH from unlucky spawns, the fact that it removes Tokens isn't as big of a blow as it may seem.
PGTW for some slowdown and reward for going away from the Hook.
Btw, of course i'm not expecting it to work all the time.
Heck, people love cleansing once they know Devour Hope is present, so it'll still work less than it will.
But i play the meme build for those times where it does work.
It feels so nice to be rewarded for "playing nice by not slugging & camping", though i never do those things anyway cause they bore me.
-
Oh, that's absolutely my "Focus on making Hex: Devour Hope work" build.
Just H: DH, and Perks that focus on keeping it alive and granting it strength.
-
Nice quote to end the video with.
-
Going over all slowdown Perks, i'll show why i use PGTW over any other...
- Blood Warden: Late game only, not my preference.
- Corrupt Intervention: Early game only, not my preference.
- Coulrophobia: I'm mostly Wraith, i generally avoid Terror Radius stuff.
- Dead Man's Switch: If they stop repairing, that's usually because there's a reason to not be repairing anymore, like going to save someone, or run away from you, so denying their ability to repair that Generator probably means little. Also, it only works on Obsession hooking, so if they're dead and there's no way to switch Obsessions, that's it. (Additionally, not a big fan of Obsession Perks.)
- Dying Light: Obsession needs to be alive.
- Hex: Huntress Lullaby: Dependant on Hex location, also dependant on Survivor's skill.
- Hex: Ruin: Dependant on Hex location.
- Overcharge: Nice for gen-tappers, but otherwise it's dependant on Survivor's skill. (I'm not skilled at Survivor at all, but last match that had Overcharge, i hit all occurrences of Overcharge's Skill Check, including the first surprising one.)
- Remember Me: Late game only, not my preference.
- Sloppy Butcher: Got an Add-on that does just that, but it's also not much of an increase. (It adds like 3.2 seconds.)
- Surge: Kinda cool, but you're not gonna get anything if you down someone away from Generators or near untouched Generators. (Also, personally wish there wasn't a cooldown, but oh well.)
- Thanatophobia: Just not my style to get everyone Injured, i like going for one until they're hooked.
- Thrilling Tremors: Almost not even a slowdown Perk, but because it can block those that someone left immediately after seeing me down a Survivor, i'll count it just in case. Anyway: Meh, all they have to do is repair for a millisecond longer while i'm picking someone up, then it won't be blocked at all and i'm on a long cooldown.
- Unnerving Presence: Dependant on the Survivor's skill, also Terror Radius Perk, so nah.
Pop Goes The Weasel was my choice before the Hex: Ruin change & before its own buff, it suits my playstyle too well, since i always want the Survivors on a hook.
And it's (up to) 20 seconds gone in just 1 kick, don't mind if i do.
-
I just go up to the furthest reward that i want, then buy it.
-

I'm pretty sure he does, not the bell ringing itself, but whenever he cloaks you hear a SWOOOSH sound, you can try testing in kyf
The swoosh isn't (supposed to be) global, it should be slightly bigger than a regular Terror Radius.

Oh wow. I didn’t even contact them.
Still though, I didn’t read anything about publicly displayed profile name.
The part that says they had requests/pressure from their partners: I’m gonna guess this is since the implementation of cross play across a lot of different games. I’m also going to guess that Nintendo are probably one of the companies that reached out to Steam about this.
Yeah, so i named it just one step.
-
Looks like Steam heard you and is taking one step: https://steamcommunity.com/games/593110/announcements/detail/2855803154584367416

Wraith doesn't have global sounds.

Keyword: Feel
dbd cosmetics in general can be pretty overpriced, like that "legendary" cosmetic set that came out with the silent hill DLC costing almost as much as the game itself
I can't help you out with your feelings.
Like the legendary cosmetic: I agree the pricing is overboard, but they tell you the price.
I can't call that a scam, nor do i feel scammed.
-
@KaarelK said:
What you want then ? We already have free DLC's
What i want is to know if they have any plans on it.
The most likely answer is no, but that doesn't prevent me from wanting to make sure.
-
But it does give you 4 entire tiers, you must've mistaken pages to be tiers.
You didn't get scammed, you just thought something was one way when it wasn't.
And idk about clarity, but pages on the Rift are called pages, and tiers are called tiers at multiple locations besides the Rift itself, like when you actually buy the tiers, or on the Archives pop-up menu on the right during lobbies.
-
The psychological one, making people think it's bad to use certain gear or do certain things.
Just go by the game's official rules and you're fine.
-
No really, this isn't a joke meme, this is a truth meme.
Because Entity can do whatever the ######### it wants.
5 Generators repaired?
Okay, then i'll power these last 2 as well and make the Exit Gates available.
-
Using the game's 5 rarities, i wouldn't put camping & tunneling on Common.
But Uncommon sounds about right, it's not Rare either.
-
Got a complaint not too long ago how i was hacking my Terror Radius to be silent.
I don't think they ever heard of "The Ghost" - Soot.
Also shows how sure they are of themself, cause that means they didn't check my gear post-match at all.
-
That feeling when i play DbD at 1 AM with my window open, not even think about having my speakers still on, and only realize that after hooking a Meg.
Her AAAAAAAAAAAAAA, right out the window!

Lol, ok.
Well it’s refreshing to see honesty about not considering balance (I don’t mean that in a snarky way)
Well I’ll give you this: you thought of what would be effective.
I was at least serious about changing Gearhead, i don't care for this Perk at all right now.

I took your wording of "running" to mean any action that produces scratch marks, and vaulting over a window while holding the sprint key produces scratch marks. So does jumping in and out of lockers.
I now see that you would have it coded separately from the scratch mark mechanic but still have them over lap.
Yeah, my apologies for not specifying that.
Still, due to problems, i don't really care about the idea anymore.
It's just an idea after all, dozens go through my head every week. 😋

I usually respect your expertise, but that sounds a bit too strong as a tracking perk, that leaves survivors very little counter.
- Discordance = don’t work together on gens
- Surveillance = tap and run
- TT = get off gen before pick up
- BBQ = get within range or into a locker.
Your Idea would mean most survivors knowing they need to let go before hearing the TR would only know until they hear the TR, by which it’s too late. I think that would need some sort of cool down on a successful reveal, like IAE.
Well your mistake was thinking i'm an expert, or at least that i made that with balance in mind.
It was just the first thing i thought of and wrote it down without second thought. 😋
-
So yeah, close to no one does this to create a diversion.

:D ######### you want, them to pay you for playing ? That's how you get them for free, you play the game and use shards, it will never be FREE on steam market
Don't be making stuff up now, i'm not asking to be paid for playing.
