Yes, but the effect is barely noticeable, it should be a bit brighter so you could actually reliably tell when she is phasing.
It's supposed to require practice seeing it, not be a glowing red sign for anyone to tell immediately.
-
The fact that they thought nerfing the top killers was more of priority to do before buffing the lower tier killers shows a lot of how lost they are on the games balance right now.

Well, most of the time I only see spirit mains (like the one I directed my comment to in my previous post) sharting on survivors for wanting simple QoL changes on her, making the glass shards on her body glow brighter when she is phasing would have been and interesting change.
They already do

I still prefer this over original Prayer Beads to be perfectly honest.
I rarely used Prayer Beads but it was a needed thing to have an equal chance against a 4 man SWF on coms at rank 1.

Because 1 out of 17 killers didn't have a vault animation.
This is an unbalance. I don't know how this is so difficult for people to grasp that it's unfair. Even the Nurse has a vault animation.
Only 1 out of the 17 can teleport through walls on demand, puts traps down that survivors get stuck in, throws hatchets, makes survivors sick etc....
That is just a stupid argument for why something should be changed. That is literally saying no killer should have something unique.

BHVR does have a reputation for poor choice of words when describing how certain mechanics function.
Lets just wait for the PTB shrug
That we will.
Either way it turns out both outcomes are bad though.

Spirit main giving no actual feedback on the matter, only telling people to "git gud".
No surprises here.
Have you been blindfolded in a basement the last few months? Countless posts and videos have been made explaining in heavy detail our feedback.

I assume they still cant hear you if they are inside your Terror Radius. If they can however then this would make me completely avoid Prayer Beads.
They used the word "Global" which tells me everyone including the person in your TR. Which would make the addon trash.
If however it still doesn't play for people in your TR then it's just meh now. Honestly just addons reducing your power cooldown and activation are probably better.

Id say not. Prayer beads is good for map pressure since you don't know if shes going to you or not . The only problem I have with it is if you are going against a swf and they know you have prayer beads and they could ask if you are phasing and you might be trying to fake phase
I mean oh wow they step off the gen for a couple seconds because they think you could be phasing near them wow. That's honestly pretty irrelevant.
It's also destroying your chase because now the person you're chasing knows when your phasing every time.
-
@Mr_K said:
Being that phasing is global with prayer beads does that exclude when in terror radius I wonder?
Well they said global so I assumed everyone heard it regardless which actually nerfs her in chase.
-
Terrible changes.
Amulet and Beads are basically worthless now as well.
-
Yeah it's trash now. I got a stockpile of 100 to burn before the patch.
-
These are just some of the reasons why I usually say their statistics are near worthless for use in terms of determining balance. There are multiple different factors that are influencing their kill statistics that are not related to balance and giving a false sense of strength when looking at killers.
I mean they should basically just take 1 kill automatically off all those kill rates right off the bat because each killer is generally going to camp whatever survivor they have at the time the gates get powered. Is that determining balance? No, they are just ensuring that guy dies by standing in front of him sense the games basically over at that point and that kill isn't really a determinant of balance.
-
Drop Iron Maiden, it's trash, even on Huntress. There are much better perks you can run.
Brutal is also not doing much at all for you as Huntress.
Replace those for something like Nurses, Discordance or Whispers.

The Game is balanced, to me. Love the map as Survivor and Killer. Every map that is indoor to me is balanced.
I've started to notice as well that the most balanced maps are generally seeming to be the indoors ones with the outdoors ones usually being quite bad balance wise.

I think that is one of the many issues which make solo queue such a unfair and rough game mode.
That has nothing to do with solo queue vs swf.
-
@AshleyWB said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/830962#Comment_830962
I disagree. With borrowed time being one of the meta perks, there's always at least 1 person in a swf running it. However in most solo queue matches it's just me running it.
It put you as a solo player at a disadvantage because of the useless perks other teammates decide to run instead.
Just because more swf use BT than solo's do for your games that has nothing to do with swf vs solo's in power level, that is unrelated.
If you believe this then your post should be about convincing more solo survivors to run BT, not about solo's being too far from swf. Those are completely separate topics.
-
@AshleyWB said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/830954#Comment_830954
Except in solo queue other players Don't bring it and as a solo player you are the one facing consequences for that.
For me they always do.
However, even if they don't for your games, that isn't a solo queue vs swf problem, that's simply people choosing to not run it. That would be a totally different argument than what this post is originally about. Whether they choose to run it or not is completely unrelated to it being a swf or solo.
-
@AshleyWB said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/830899#Comment_830899
Because it's about so many different things which seperate solo queue players from swfs.
I'm mostly wanting to complain about how borrowed time is not a "let's help randoms" perk it's more of a "I'm gonna help my friend" perk. There is no equivalent for solo queue players needing that protection from instantly being tunneled or anything similar.
Also teammates recently are kinda clueless at all ranks.
I agree there are many different things separating solo queue from SWF players but that doesn't have anything to do with playing at a rank 1 skill level.
"I'm mostly wanting to complain about how borrowed time is not a "let's help randoms" perk it's more of a "I'm gonna help my friend" perk."
Those are the same things functionally. You make it sound like BT only functions for SWF. It is working for you exactly the same as it is for them.

I'm referring to the fact you said you're rank one and that you don't encounter this problem often according to your previous comment.
So you're referring to a skill difference?
That doesn't really make sense then in what we are talking about. At lower ranks you will have worse killers so it doesn't matter if you aren't playing at a rank 1 level.
You're original point also had nothing to do with skill level at all either. Your point was about campers/tunnelers you run into and survivors that leave you on the hook. This isn't a skill point, this is a play style of other players you run into point.
Being more skilled isn't going to save me from a teammate leaving me to die or a killer that wants to face camp me.
If we are changing the issue to being about skill as to why you're dying then this is an entirely different point. Also, saying you shouldn't need to play like a rank 1 to play solo is saying you shouldn't have to learn to play better to do solo queue. This just doesn't make sense.

I think there are a lot of things that determine what kind of players you usually come across, including platform, rank, and region. I play on PS4, and pretty much wherever I am in rank I get camped and tunneled out of the game. It's not just common: it's the norm. Getting left to die on my first hook and getting farmed are also pretty common. My fellow solos rarely run BT.
I do not see moris or iri heads or things like that very often, though.
Hmm could be a platform difference then

The thing is we shouldn't all be forced to play like a rank 1 Survivor to play the game solo. You're obviously pretty good and you do have the benefit of playing on PC which leads to less BS hits happening.
I'm a casual player who plays mainly solo on Xbox and I take all kinds of weird perks in but being at a disadvantage is clear in so many games once I am caught by the killer for the first time.
"we shouldn't all be forced to play like a rank 1 Survivor to play the game solo."
What are you referring to exactly?
-
I just can't relate to this at all.
I play strictly solo on PC at rank 1 and have none of these issues whatsoever. I survive probably 8/10 games and the hard camper/tunneler is rare to come across. Most times people talk about a killer tunneling or camping it really isn't. Yeah occasionally I'll get left to die on a first hook or it will be a mori/iri hatchet game but those are extremely rare to find and I play A LOT.
-
Macmillan maps probably.
I personally would say Hawkins though. My favorite map on both sides.

I play both sides at rank 1 with 4k hours.

So she has counterplay.
Other than when you are hooking someone when can she not react to her traps? You should drop chases to teleport basically every time they go off.
Outside of range and during pick up/carry.
I'm not simply saying she has counter play. I'm saying her counter play is much easier to abuse with a good group of survivors.

well with hag her power can make any loop unsafe and if her trap is placed correctly you will the hit when its activated. she also does not have to rely on maps and flashlights really only make getting people off the hook safer. Even against swf groups who just try to destroy all your traps you only need to do hit and runs until they kill themselves by constantly activating your traps, getting hit, than downed later.
A good team will pop her traps when she is unable to react making her waste lots of time reseting her traps over and over.
-
I really want to love Huntress as she's super fun, strong and has a very high skill ceiling if you get good with her. Problem is that she has so many maps that are just near unplayable against decent survivors that know what they're doing. She's also extremely loopable on a lot of spots which can get infuriating at times. From a survivor perspective she's the easiest killer to loop for days unless they are just extremely good which is very few Huntresses.
This puts her as a rough one to rank for me. Very high potential that requires a lot to be there.
I personally think everyone vastly overrates Hag.
I'd put Demi similar to you as well. I think people give him way too much credit.
-
Been saying this for a while. It's currently not an anti--tunnel perk, it's a 1 minute immunity perk.
It needs to deactivate if you hook someone else and lessen the time to 40 seconds. Then it would actually be an anti-tunnel perk. If he's chasing you longer than 40 seconds ya'll have already won the game anyway because he's throwing the game with a chase that long.
-
His stalk is 9 times out of 10 not worth using, that is a problem. It needs to be improved.

Again sorry. Technical limitations meant I HAD to put some of them together.
Understandable.
I feel like people are ranking these more based aesthetically rather than actual balance design even though you said not to.
-
I really hate that you had to put those two together as I like Hawkins but don't like Lery's.
I find it pretty crazy how many people are saying Autohaven, Red Forest, Haddonfield, or Ormand. Other than the corn maps those are some of THE worst designed and unbalanced maps.

Agreed. I get that people are mostly trying to be helpful when they say stuff like that, but some people get really obtuse. I've had people tell me to run Hangman's Trick when I've mentioned coordinated sabo not having a real counter. I have 1000 hrs. I'm aware that the perk exists...
I think the difference is that Hangmans Trick is in 99% of scenarios trash. So the survivors telling you that just isn't realistic on their part. Where as most the "counter perks" people are typically referring to in reference to Spirit for example are actually all around decent perks in most scenarios, against most killers. I think they are two very different scenarios.

Just run iron will, spine chill, urban evasion and quick and quiet to counter spirit 4Head
Those are all good perks against all killers. Also, just because they help doesn't mean you even need them.
-
I see it is more of an omen of the coming Spirit gutting....oh sorry I meant "tweak" for more "fun" game play.

So you're basically pointing out that the killer things have counter play while some survivor things don't?

1) It doesn't matter what the stated problems are, the devs already made up their minds about changing Spirit independent of player complaints.
2) The "solutions" I have read thus far are not good solutions. They all revolve around basically giving Spirit a giant neon sign above her head that says "I AM PHASE WALKING NOW". That's not a solution. Good players do not make good game designers. Furthermore, the devs are not going to take a single person solution verbatim, first because of legal reasons and second because that's not how you solve these problems. You solve them through testing and iteration. What sounds good on paper may end up being horrible in practice and vice versa. I'd be scared to see what the game was like if anyone on the forums had a say in the game's design.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/825755#Comment_825755
I'm actually suggesting that we DO NOT accept the changes blindly. Every change to every perk/killer thus far has been blindly accepted because we are not privy to BHVR's plans. We know literally nothing about what will happen until it happens, at which point our concerns are limited to minor changes to something that will happen regardless of what we think.
I'm saying we NEED more transparency from the devs in this situation because of how divisive it is.
Hence why I ask to see the data that shows her over performing, what issues THEY have identified, and what THEIR goals are when it comes to Spirit changes. The community needs to be a part of this process or it will be the same issues over and over again.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/825793#Comment_825793
It's wasted because the devs do things independent of the community. We know nothing about what they were planning for anything until it happens. If we were at least given some transparency we could voice our concerns long before they implement something that we will end up not liking. They said themselves they are sometimes surprised by our reactions. Well that wouldn't happen if we were given more information before major sweeping changes were put into the game.
I'm not asking for them to tell us everything, just the important things so we can voice our concerns BEFORE it is too late to go back.
Ah I see. Maybe if we got more heads up than usual they may be more willing to make changes we ask for as now they'd actually have more time unlike coming out of a PTB where they've basically already set it in stone aside from small numbers. That's fair.
-
It feels like more than just addons, I think his power just isn't enough.
-
Much easier. The size difference is make or a break a lot of the time imo. This is why I think overall the males sounds should be much quieter to compensate and the girls being the loudest.

Do you have a link to this? I haven't been able to watch the streams in the last couple of months.
Unfortunately not on me, it was at least a year ago, maybe more. It would require some digging.
-
I am not one of the people that thinks Nurse is trash now or anything like that. I do however personally think she is much, much weaker. She's actually quite loopable now. I'd probably put her in upper mid tier.
Unlike many who just wanted her addons touched and nothing else, I did think she needed a slight base kit nerf. SLIGHT.
I only wanted a very small reduction in how far her lunge was after blink to give a tiny bit more requirement on her blink accuracy. I think the changes they made were much more than slight and more than I wanted her nerfed.
-
I get your point and it's a valid one. However, based on previous years of feedback on PTB's and the results that came from it our voices feel quite wasted in that regard. I also think DS is still in a pretty unhealthy state.
-
If you watch the stream where they went over hatchet hotboxes with visuals it will give some better insight as to how you're getting hit.
