I only say it as buff when it comes to one killer and that is Sadako...since they added the aura for lullabies it has completely taken away the stealth part from her kit. The other night I was playing her for the first time since they added the visual terror radius and could clearly tell it has affected her a great deal. Before I could sneak up on ppl easily and get a surprise attack but now I can't at all no matter how hard I try. Every time I got close to a gen, while trying to keep out of the line of sights, the survivors were already running away.
Overall no I don't think visual terror radius is a major buff but I do think they should remove Sadako's lullaby completely and allow her to be a stealth killer like wraith.
-
Overall I haven't had any issues. You can plan around SB and Lithe if a survivor using plus most are not good at 99% SB so yeah. The biggest thing for me is that first chase with every survivor...it feels so refreshing not having to worry about 4 DHs and can lunge again at pallets feel amazing. I'm not sad DH is gone and I'm dealing with the SB/Lithe meta just fine.
-
Meanwhile my chases have been much more enjoyable since I can lunge at pallets on the first chase with each survivor without having to worry about a DH. My matches have only felt little easier now ppl are using SB and Lithe. It's refreshing to seeing different exhausted perks for once instead of 4 DHs every single match. So yeah I'm much happier with dealing with Lithes and SB.

I don't understand why the SM is still not disabled from the killer roster till they fix it...
It is unplayable... her 3 gens is way too strong and it is literally impossible to do those gens...
The killer is game-breaking, remove it, fix it and reintroduce it...
In that logic nurse also should be kill switched bc she technically breaks the game since she can teleport through walls and pallets lol

Guilty, I remember when Felix's open winter pyjama came out and instantly bought it. Same when they released Carlos Oliveira.
SM is boring, the 3-gens lockdown feels nearly illegal, her power feels lacking, the only good thing is the death claw destroying pallet. But yeah, one killer among almost 30 killers, you don't like her, you don't play her, you play against her, you suffer and move on the next game. She was insta due to a rework.
I like the idea of drones pursuing survs if they are caught within their area. Also, why not make the drone explodes if the surv fails to hack it and it then injures them ?
As for her lore, I find it quiet bland, she is just a psycho murderer, just like Trickster. Nothing less, nothing more. I will do her tome but as always BHVR fails to deliver interesting reading about their characters. The only lore I liked was the Twins, their tome was nearly moving. I was pretty disappointed with David's coming out. They should hire real writers for their tomes.
But most importantly, NERF PIG
See I kinda like her lore because she isn't some tragic victim of some event that made her into a killer. All the other female killers in this game are just that, they all are just victims. Spirt was killed by her dad and just turn into an angry ghost, Artist was a woman who felt guilty about her brother's death and got made a target by an artist label because she try to expose their corruption, Hag was a girl who was caught by a group of cannibals living the swamp and was torture and eatten by them, and so on and on. Every female killer in this game has a tragic background and only turned into a killer to get payback on the world that treated them so badly. None of them are pure evil or wanted to be a killer. It's nice to have at least one psycho female killer who enjoys being a killer and finds fun in it. Killers imo are supposed to enjoy killing and want to be killers. It is fine to have killers who have tragic backgrounds but not all of them need to have one.
-
I would slightly rework her power but keep the theme the devs had. Unlike most of you I watched the behind the scene video for SM and like the idea/theme they ran with for her. I enjoy playing as her also so I don't want her to be deleted.
Personally I do think a lot of people are blowing this whole SM thing up a lot. Honestly I still think most of you hate her bc she isn't some ugly cyborg or Terminator like killer. Before you start on the whole sexualizing thing let me remind you most ppl drool over shirtless male character skins in DBD so I do think there a double standard when it comes to visual designs and sexization in the community for this game.
Either way I would just rework her power slightly to make other play styles more desirable other than 3 genning.

Realistically obviously nothing. They released two horribly designed killers that the vast majority of the community seems to hate back to back, luckily they're rare because nobody wants to play them either. Those few times we go against them we can either suck it up or just skip the match and go next, that's the only realistic thing we can do
IDEALLY they'd just delete both of them (and trickster, because this is literally trickster chapter all over again, for the third time)
Well I like SM and Knight and enjoy playing them so that is not ideally for me. Just because ppl want to play her the boring way doesn't mean everyone dones. I seen plenty of streamers find success with chase builds with SM and Knight. I too have a pretty decent win rate with my chase builds. So I don't think they need to be deleted, that a extreme that shouldn't even be suggested. Buffing/rework sure but not deletion.
-
I don't know how much more can be done. They have completely gutted CoB, Overcharge and Eruption, what else do you want them to do? Also don't say "delete SM & Knight" bc that's not realistically going to happen since the dev team rarely ever go back to a new release killer to make major changes. Like I said what else can they do realistically...
-
Completely with you. I can't stand being sent to a map where the survivors know they can abuse something about the map. The Knights map it's the pallets, GoJ it's main building, and ect. I gotten to the point where if I see a map offering to one of these maps I just AFK and let them have a free escape. I can't be bother to play out the match when they get the power to choice the map to fit their build the best.
In my opinion I think map offerings should be completely removed and let the game randomly pick the map like it should be. I know few ppl will say "well they can't do that bc of the achievements" What I say to that is "######### achievements". I always hated achievements and think it's one of the worthless things that have ever been added to gaming. Just stop making map achievements, there problem solved. Anyway yeah I hate map offerings.

Based on my understanding of the tome changes I don't know if we will.
I say we will, it just most likely be the tome after a license killer chapter is released.
-
I still say Deadlock is completely overrated. Every time I use the perk it feels it does nothing at all. Gens don't feel like they slow down at all. Even had one match where the survivors was able to do the last two gens at the exact same time and completely bypassing Deadlock. Honestly even with slowdown being nerfed I really don't see myself running Deadlock bc I just don't feel like it's that great of a perk to begin with.
-
Because the devs told us that original killers will always get a tome after their release now. Knight got one after it's released and now SM. Also just because you and others don't like SM isn't going to stop the devs from supporting her with tomes and outfits. So either learn to deal with the 1 out of 31 killers that ticks you off or stop playing the game. I highly doubt you see that many of SMs.
-
As Crowman said you can do that now by just triggering them. Every match I play as a hag most of my traps is triggered and dealt with when Im carrying/hooking someone. So I don't see this new wipe mech hurting no more than ppl walking over your traps and running away.
-
Killer: eruption (before the nerf I thought it was to powerful and now after the nerf I think it's a worthless perk that gives info when I don't want it)
Survivor: DH bc I hate that perk with every fiber of my being.
-
Most likely never going to happen because I'm pretty sure map offerings only exist for map achievements like the rpd one where you have to open a gate and escape x number of times. Personally I want them to completely do away with map achievements and axe the map offerings. I get tired being sent to maps as killer. I'm not joking it's pretty much every other match I get sent to a map.
-
It got the compensation I wanted so I'm happy with this change. Before total 60% regression was pretty garbage but now it's 100% total making where survivors have to do a 6th gen pretty much. On top of that you could use NWO and Pop along with it. Overall if they had to nerf pain res this is the nerf I would want.
-
The pain res nerf is the only perk nerf Im honestly upset about. As always the devs go way too far with their nerfs even when the perk really doesn't need it. Pain res wasn't that unfair of a regression perk by itself. If they had to nerf it why give it such a hard nerf? If you want to keep the token system that is fair but buff its regression to 25% to 30% or give it 6 to 8 tokens. As it is stated now the new pain res wouldn't be worth a slot. 60% max is so bad plus you have to single hook every survivor and I can tell you if you play that fair 60% isn't going to save you from all the gen progression that's why to do it while you chase each survivor at least once.

Hag has always been a low tier killer. It's just that MMR and the overall seasoning of the playerbase keep proving this fact more and more. She's a noobstomper type of character, very oppressive against the noobs/newbies, very limited and easily countered versus seasoned players who don't fear her power.
Ok...? I agree with you for the most part XD I still say that she going to become lil better thanks to the healing nerf since I agree with otz and others who say the current healing meta is hurting hag alot.
-
@Peanits said:
If you only buff weaker perks, you end up with power creep. Each perk needs to be better than the last in order to dethrone the meta, and so over time perks would become stronger and stronger. Eventually you'd reach a point where perks are ridiculously strong and have far too much impact on a match, making skillful play less important than the perks you brought.
Even beyond that, this simply is not feasible. There's 228 perks in the game. Even if we assume that 50 are in a really good spot (already meta in this case) and don't need any changes whatsoever, that's over 170 perk updates that need to be done just to balance things.
Instead, we do a bit of both. Most perks are already in a decent spot and see a good amount of use, but there's a few outliers that either don't get used enough or are used way too much. Bringing the top few down and some of the bottom few up is a lot more manageable. You pretty much answered yourself with your example. With Dead Hard being weaker, suddenly there's a lot more reason to bust out Lithe, Sprint Burst, or another exhaustion perk instead.
Like I understand all that but you really do not bring the top down a few with some of nerfs you are giving. Look at pain res, most ppl say right now it's a fair perk but yall have decided to heavily nerf it. You not even nerfing to be in the mid...the nerf yall decided on will completely kill the perk outright. 60% regression for the whole match isn't enough to justify a perk spot. That's not weaking a perk, it completely kills it as you have done to a lot of killer and survivor perks. Thana, Ruin, Calm Sprint, and ect have been completely killed and put at the very bottom. You didn't nerf them to be near the middle of the other perks.
-
When it comes to killer addon the dev only really look at the pick rates and not the reason ppl pick them. If one or two addons have a huge pick rate above all the other addons then they say "This addon is overperforming based on its pick rate and we need to nerf it. The Engravings are not the first add-ons to be nerfed for this reason. Look at nemmy's mavin's blood. It wasn't by no means OP but they nerfed it bc it was picked a lot. One of the Twin addons was like this also I believe.
I wish they would look past the numbers and see why ppl pick these types of addons in the first place. I wish they would do an addon pass for every killer in the game once in a while and try to understand why an addon is picked over another. But that is harder to do since would require more time and man hours so it's easier to just nerf the most used addons and then rework/buff the non-used ones.
-
I love it when ppl say DH is a bad perk right now...yeah the number one used perk for suvivors is a bad perk..sure...
-
I want to point out that one of the major reason hag has been in a rough spot was because how easy healing was. Now healing being nerfed into the ground I believe hag and waith are going to be a lot stronger. Even otz said that one of the major reasons hag moved down his tier list in past year or so was because how strong healing was with CoH and strong medkits. Also I think it's fair to allow everyone a way to disarm a trap without having to have a item to do so. I still think her traps will be just as good since they are hard to see on most maps, not like trapper's bear traps.
-
I like to say all the ppl who told me they never nerf pain res after eruption bc it was a "fair" perk this: I hate to say I told you so but I told you so XD Just like I thought pain res got the hammer like so many regression perks but I will say this has happened faster than I thought. The devs don't care if a perk is fair or not, they only care about use rates and nerf things based on that. What makes this patch worst tho to me is the fact no other perk was buffed(other than gearhead but who cares about that perk when there are much better info perks in the game). At least in the last meta shack-up patch killers saw buffs to other unused gen regression perks but in this one, they nerf every last strong regression perk.
Now I fully think we are entering a gen rush meta since they over-nerf healing for survivors. I am fine with the CoH and medkit nerfs but nerfing base healing speed is taking it too far. Now we just see survivors bring prove thy self, resis, adrenaline, and a perk of thier choice(exhausted perk maybe). We going to see more BNP toolkits also I think. I don't know tbh this patch is such a mixed bag for both sides I feel.
-
I hate tbh...I really don't know what to run now for regression. If you had to nerf Pain Res why now just make it where it doesn't proc if the survivor is dead on hook? I'm honestly lost now on what to bring for regression now :-/ They didn't buff a single killer perk other than gearhead and I think I hate gearhead XD

-"Mostly wanted to make a comment on the Otz part of your post and 50-game winsteak"
He did complete the last ~16 or so of artist on a day when MMR was turned off. I say that mars the streak to be invalid. Imagine if there were a day that let killers only queue against solo players. Would that invalidate a 50 win streak?
-"Personally, I do not find the killer the easiest role in this game at all."
-"I would say the easiest role in dbd is swf."
That's because the power role in DBD is the SWF. They dont nerf SWF because that role makes survivors happy. IF you can play Nurse/Blight at very high levels with strong perks+addons then maybe you can reclaim the power role.
~He did complete the last ~16 or so of artist on a day when MMR was turned off. I say that mars the streak to be invalid. Imagine if there were a day that let killers only queue against solo players. Would that invalidate a 50 win streak?~
Completely agree with you. I still remember that day when mmr was turned off and he finish the streak. He knew something was up with mmr that day and took full advantage of it. He went well over his usual stopping time that day just to grind out those last 16 or so games. This is why personally I do not recognize his artist 50 winstreak and put an asterisk beside it. Ever since then, he has struggled to even get 20+ games in a row on the killers.

Here's your problem: at the highest skill levels of DBD that is known to be false.
"Known to be false" ? That's the stats literally published by BHVR. Average 60% killrate, including at high MMR.
This is why when we have DBD comp tournaments the survivors almost always have the limitation : no character/perk/item repeats.
Both roles have restrictions in tournament, not just survivors. Killer players have perk/addon restrictions in tournaments. They are forced to pick their killer in a pool of 3-4 predefined ones which means they must know how to play every killer well. Killers are also forced to play with low ping which gives survivors a massive advantage compared to regular queue. Also it doesn't matter really what restrictions you use since tournament killrates are typically higher than 50%...
Do me a favor please. Pick your favorite/strongest killer and try to win ~50 games in a row with a 4k. The results don't matter; what matters is that getting somewhere around 50 wins should permanently place all your other killers at 1200 MMR. Now you will see the game in a completely different way.
I've done this, and after 300 matches - 90% of which were 3K+ and including a 36 winstreak - I still have the same stance as OP.
There are some tough games sometimes, sure, but these are only against coordinated SWFs with 1000+ hours, and that's pretty rare, maybe 1 game out of 10. For the rest of the matches, the matchmaking barely gives me any better players than it did at the beginning. Half of the players who can't last 10 sec in chase and insta-DC on hook, the other half are good players but solo queue and they lose because their teammates were in the 1st half...
I feel like killer players have very bad memory and only remember the bad games, even though they 4K in most games without realizing it.
And before you say "Nurse" I played Clown, Trapper and Myers. FYI, most killer streamers have got 50-winstreaks or higher if you ask them. Otzdarva did it with every killer including addonless trapper... As for myself, I'm pretty sure I can record a 10 winstreak in just one night, if you don't believe it.
Mostly wanted to make a comment on the Otz part of your post and 50-game winsteak. I want to point out that ever since they turn mmr on Otz hasn't been about to get 50 wins in a row anymore and in fact, he even mostly retired from the 50 winsteak challenge now. He now settles for 25 to 30 wins if he is even able to get that. The only 50 winsteak he got doing the time mmr been added to dbd was on artist and that even has a * beside it bc he got that winsteak doing the days they had mmr turned off as part of the week-long experiments they were doing for mmr.
Personally, I do not find the killer the easiest role in this game at all. The killer is still to me the more stressful role and sometimes the most unfun times I have in a game(depending on the type of survivors I have). I do get 4ks often? yeah but not as often as you or the OP puts it. Maybe Im just bad even tho I have over 1000s hours in the game now but I still find matches super stressful and hard to win on a nightly basics. I would say the easiest role in dbd is swf.
-
I used to try to make sure survivors have fun when I play killer but after a while, I stop caring as much. The amount of "gg ez", "gg baby killer" or teabags at the gate just got to me and just made me play more for myself instead of others. Now my mindset is "Why should I care about others' fun when no one cares about my own fun as a killer?"
-
I miss the Q&A streams. We havent had one in over a year now. Wish they would them more.

I'd be fine with adding a lever in the basement that immediately ejects all living survivors. Make a funny animation for it and everything where the entity scoops them up no matter where on the map they are and just throws them out the gate.
And at the same time let survivors crawl to a hook and put themselves on it when the conditions are right. Ta-da, both the big Pointless Endgame Timewasters now have a way for players to put an end to it without the "consent" of the other side (mostly relevant for survivors of course, if a killer doesn't want to hook them they can do nothing about it meanwhile angling the camera towards a gate and pressing W / pushing left stick forwards tends to make survivors leave)
Now I read this an idea pops into my head. Add a lever to the basement that opens a killer-sized hatch so the killer can just escape the trial when the gates are powered/open.

Right I understand that but my only 1 point is a kill switch isn't the same as a whole deletion. That's it.
Ahh yeah, that part I agree with you. Killswitch =/= Delete. Tho I did see rework was mention some of the posts and that is why I said what I said because I do think to complete rework = delete. I know in other games reworks do lead ppl feeling like their fav thing gets deleted from the game. For example, I play Final Fantasy 14 where my fav job/class was completely reworked this current expac. For me, it completely felt like my fav job was deleted from the game and made me find another job/class to play. Anyway, I do agree with your point of killswitching something doesn't mean it's getting deleted from the game.

Reworked entirely under a kill switch isn't removal. Literally look at Dredge then look at the Stranger Things license and see he difference.
Also not be a jerk but do you go through life blissfully unaware or something? People have been giving smoke for Hag. KNIGHT especially gets/got hate for his gameplay up to today.
But no one deserves any hate for playing a killer. That's just ew behavior
They not being completely wrong here tho...If you completely rework a killer it kinda makes them a whole new killer that replaces the old one. Look at other reworks dbd had...did Freddy stay mostly the same after his rework? When you completely rework something you are in a sense deleting the old version of it. I personally like SM because she is a different type of killer. I like having info being the main force of her power instead of chase. Honestly, I don't know what the devs can do without completely changing her from an info killer. My main question to anyone who wants her to be reworked would be How would you rework her so she keeps her core identity as an info killer? So far I haven't seen much in a suggestion that keeps her as an info killer and not change her into a chase killer.
I know her ability to stall out of the game isn't fun and not healthy for the game. I understand that much but I just don't know what they could do to her without completely changing her core identity.
-
Personally, I love SM bc she not any killer we have in the game. I like the idea of an info killer who can use their power to find survivors. I get the complaints tho, stalling a 3 gen game for 30+ mins isn't fun and not healthy for the game. I just don't know what they could do to keep her an info killer but nerf her 3 gen issues. I know I have been playing her with a full chase build(no gen regression or info perks). Some of my fav perks on her are Bamboozle, Dissolution, STBFL, and Superior Anatomy. I have more perks I like running on her and want to test out more but I really enjoy having free info built into her kit and using that to get in chases faster. At the end of the day tho the easiest way to play her is sitting in a 3 gen at the beginning and stalling the game which ppl find boring. I just don't know how they could nerf that part of her gameplay without hunting all the other parts of her kit.

Why is it so hard to see the difference.
Audio bug VS being fully invisible.
Also audio bugs are very common in this game, on both sides. Should we killswitch Survivor(s) too, because Killer can't hear the injure sounds? etc.
Lol yeah, last night I had someone completely quite on the ground and couldn't find her at all. She got to a dark counter of the map which I look 3 times and since I didn't hear cries of pain figured she was somewhere else. Only till the afk birds spawn is when I found her and allow her to get hatch after that long wait. Audio bugs in this game can be a damn pain XD

Not every killer has to have no chase power or map mobility. BHVR keeps releasing killers that incentivize the worst aspects of the game such as tunneling and camping a 3 gen.
I am genuinely convinced that people say they like Skull Merchant are trolling. There's a reason the matchmaking incentive is still 100% killer despite a new chapter dropping...
Oh and also all of the perks they've released besides 2 are complete garbage. They also completely gutted several other perks along with the patch.
I want to add that a killer design has nothing to do with incentivizing tunneling. Every killer no matter if they are a nurse, blight, or sakuro can and will tunnel since it's the easiest and most cases the best way to win a lot of time. In fact, if you look at Wesker you could say he incentivizes tunneling based on your wording bc his power allows him to tunnel really easily. An infected survivor keeps 1/2 to 3/4s (I dont remember how much) of their infection after being unhooked. A Wesker can easily chase and wait out the little time it takes for the infection to get full again to down the unhook survivor. So you cant say SM and knight incentivize tunneling since all killers no matter their power can tunnel with ease.
As for camping 3 gens I think that more of the problem is with the current meta. 3 genning has always been a thing in dbd it just got worst thanks to kicking gen perks. She's good at it, yeah but to put all the blame on her or the knight's design is dumb. At end of the day this chapter isn't for you or the others who hate it. Not every killer going to be a home run. At this point, it's best to move on and wait for the next chapter in hopes it is more for you. SM will have her players even if it's a small number of players but I don't think no amount of complainants is going to force them to give her a complete rework right after a release. It could happen a year from now but for now, SM is here to stay like her or not.
-
Personally I'm fine with killers being different and having different play styles. As a killer main who plays every killer I enjoy playing different killer of ranging strengths. I honestly don't want every killer to be a blight or Wesker bc then they all would be the same and play the same. I mean I love Wesker but he gets boring to play after a while and his chase power is so similar to blight. I don't know I don't think we need to hold the devs to one type of killer or play style. If ppl don't like playing SM then they don't have to play her and if survivors don't like playing against her they can always DC. Seriously survivor will DC for any little thing anymore anyway. Even when I play Wesker (a killer ppl think is super fun to go against) I get multiple DCs.
-
I just wish they add some kinda cooldown on notifications from one survivor or something. I hate hearing the spam notifications when I refuse to see the dumb survivors off at the exit gate. I refuse to go to the exit gates at the end of a match just to watch some survivors t-bag me.

It's basicly jolt but with no limited radius and auras of the survivors are shown for TEN seconds. Even BBQ and lethal doesn't go that long and those are entire perks dedicated to aura reading. So lethal pursuer plus eruption will be 12 seconds of knowing where the survivors are that were on a gen effected. There's also the fact that it was supposed to be nerfed that the gens only lose 10% of the current progress but they reversed that back to be 10% of total. Eruption has gen regression, aura reading and no cool down. But sure, eruption is totally dead now. I'm sure we won't see anyone using it anymore.
Jolt doesn't require the time investment of kicking a bunch of gens beforehand and the "ten" secs of info you get is useless unless you slug. By the time you pick up and hook someone that 10s(12s) is gone and is outdated. Also, the survivors will know you see them since they scream beforehand so they either greed the gen(most likely finishing it your face by the time you get there) or just leave to do another gen. Stop trying to upsell a eruption as if it's going to be decent bc it won't be. It will only be useful on slugging fast killers(nurse or blight) or a huntress on an open map(which most likely won't happen unless the huntress uses a map offering). Eruption is joining Thana, Dying Light, and FC since it's going to be useless to most players and only going to be used in meme builds. Also, btw sfw will easily dodge eruption :P

People use Surge.
People will use Eruption.
Jolt is a way better perk than new eruption. It's free gen regression with an m1 without wasting kicking a gen. New eruption isnt worth the time to kick a gen or a perk slot. If I want info I rather run Floods, BBQ, Nowhere to hide or even bitter mummer. If I want gen regression I rather use pain res, CoB, Overcharge or jolt. At the end of the day, it's a dead perk that most of the community will never use it. Just like how most dont use Thana, pop, or ruin.

Now that eruption is gone ppl will start complaining about those again bc survivor mains hate any gen slowdown :P Btw before ppl found out how strong eruption was they totally complained about pain res and other gen slow down perks, so yeah... you totally will see ppl complaining about other slowdown perks.

Eh, not really. It's definitely way worse but I wouldn't call it dead.
I suspect we'll see CoB, Eruption, PGTW and Lethal maybe. Maybe Overcharge or Nowhere to Hide slots in there too.
10% regression is still significant and the aura-reading is very nice.
Yeah aura reading when you don't need it :P It's a dead perk. You never going to see it outside a rare huntress (most huntresses don't like kicking gens) and slugging nurses or blights. Only way you going to make the information that it gives you any useful is to slug on a high mobility killer. Just admit it you got what you wanted... eruption was taken out back and shot in the head just like thana, ruin and pop.
-
I'm just sad killers is getting yet another useless perk that won't see the light of day after tomorrow. It joins perks like FC, dying light, thana, ruin, and pop. Never good when a perk is nerfed to complete uselessness on either side. Looking forward to seeing the "nerf CoB + Overcharge" and "nerf pain res" threads that will pop up in a couple of weeks.

Here's a game I had previously recorded to ask some other Artist players on the forum as to how they would have played. I did 3K and give Hatch on Fractured Cowshed with 3 gens done and there was only one DH user so it's not exactly what you're looking for but it's the fastest example to give.
The DHs by the Steve were:
5:00 I find out Steve has DH
6:38 Steve spins and runs at me to use DH. I wait it out.
11:25 Successful DH by Steve but entirely my fault. I thought Steve was too focused on the birds and should have anticipated the DH.
18:10 I bait out the DH and drop Steve.
So, one DH to find out Steve has DH, one other successful DH that I could have countered but I made a mistake, and two unsuccessful Dead Hards for a 50% success rate on DH. Generally, survivors I go against are unsuccessful with their DHs the majority of the time.
I would say that's true for the majority of the other Killer players who have been around for awhile.
I personally don't know if DH is OP or not as I would see if it gave a statistically significant increase in survival rates over SB before saying my opinion one way or the other and that data isn't available. However, I don't have an issue with DH personally and that's why hyperbole such as DH can't be countered and it's a third health state gets so much pushback. Those statements are objectively false.
Not really my point...my point is ppl are tired of seeing the same stuff over and over. I would love a lobby with just one DH most of the night but thats not what I get. I get lobbies with 3 DH at least and its mentally draining having to "bait" or wait it out in every chase I have. Agian one DH isnt OP or even a problem. Its when more than 1/2 the survivors have it...

And yet eruption got to keep its regression and got the incapacitated reworked into an aura perk
While you want to put 5 restrictions on a single perk?
You could simply put the survivor unable to do actions for 2 seconds after a DH if the survivor fails to take a hit and it would solve the, this perk is uncouterable at pallets issue.
But, that is not enough, because killing a perk is better.
And then people complain that bhvr kills perks when doing balance changes, this is the type of feedback they get.
For one thing he said just one of the five not all five. Another thing I love is when ppl talk about new eruption like it still going to be a good perk...Yeah, it kept its regression but 10% even total is ######### compared to other perks shoot I would get more value from Jolt since it doesn't req me to kick a damn gen, and the aura part is completely useless unless you slug. So I hope you enjoy laying on the ground after a blight or nurse downs you bc they are the only ones who can really use that 10s of info even then they still need to slug. Eruption imo is getting deleted from the game not nerfed bc it offers nothing. It joins other useless killer perks like Thana, FC, and Dying light. A dead perk with no real benefit of running it.
-
I get what ppl are saying. Yeah that one person with DH didn't cause the killer to lose the game but think about this...in a normal game you can have 4 survivors all having DH against an inexperienced/decent killer and the outcome could be completely different. I would love to see some of y'alls the gameplay against a group of decent survivors who are all using DH and see what your outcome. If anything I think this video shows imo we need limits on what survivors can bring into a lobby. I know Im tired of going against 4 medkits+a CoH, 4DHs, and a map offerings. Like you to know I played around 10 games last night and little over 1/2 of them was like that. 4DHs, 4Medkits with a CoH, and few map offerings to either the newest map or Graden of Joy...It was pain v.v I won some of them but damn is was stressful and wasnt fun...
-
I never cared for the whole this perk requires skill and this one doesn't... My main issue with dh is the fact I have to play as if every survivor has it even if they don't have it bc 9/10 they do have DH. I'm tired of seeing this perk in every match I have and Im tired of having to play the waiting game in every chase to "bait" it out. Its not fun at all... Is the new DH better than the old one? Yes, it's 10x better but that doesn't make it any less annoying to go against in every damn match. I much rather go against a mix of exhausted perks than just 4 DHs. You don't know how much enjoyment I get when I get headed on or see a lith. It so nice to see those types of perks used than seeing 4 press E gamers.

All of this is exactly what I’ve witnessed. Anytime a widely loved perk from one side gets nerfed, the other side suddenly wants a nerf of a perk that they don’t like going against. It’s like children who see one kid get an ice cream cone so they need an ice cream cone. Doesn’t matter if the change was made to make the game more fair, or balance out an issue, one side got something so now the other side needs something.
Dead hard took a huge hit last summer and as was mentioned the killer refrain was “oh well adapt!” Survivors basically did just that, adapted to the new perk and still found a way to make it useful so now killers want it nerfed again because it still prevents them from easy wins when used in the right hands. Which brings me to my next point:
Dead hard takes actual skill to use. One of my friends I play with runs dead hard religiously and out of 10 matches, they only get any value out of DH in maybe 1 match because you literally have to be able to time it just right. And even IF you time it just right, if the killer has major lag on their end, any latency issues, uses a VPN whatever… it affects their ability to time the perk and it’s useless.
Unless every survivor who runs DH is totally cracked with it, it’s not getting the same value across all players, like some are making it out to be. Every survivor can’t just equip dead hard and get an extra hit out of it just like that. I don’t even run it for that reason because I don’t have the patience to try and learn how to time it perfectly down to a half second.
Personally, I think it's the type of nerfs that happened and how strong a perk stays. So look at dead hard and eruption. DH was nerfed pretty hard, yes but it has stayed really strong and is still the number one used perk. Meanwhile, eruption basely got completely gutted and kinda made useless for most killers. The only killers who may get value out of new eruptions will be the ones who like slugging a lot and are very fast bc it gives info when most killers don't even need it. Why do I care about seeing auras for 10 to 12s right after I down someone? By the time I hook the down survivor, that info is outdated and useless, and 9 out 10 times that gen that just went boom will most likely be finished in my face after I did hooking and getting over there with most killers.
BVHR didn't have to turn eruption into a new info perk, they could have done what most ppl asked for...remove the incap and block that gen for 25 secs. They took the number one killer perk(yes I agree it was overpowered and needed a nerf I'm not arguing that fact) and made it into a perk that will only be useful to those who like slugging as a high-speed killer(killers who really do need that type perk.) I only wish eruption got the DH treatment where it was made fairer but stayed as a strong perk.
Also in the dev blog they said that one of the issues with the eruption was how it didn't evenly affect solos and swfs but the nerf they gave it did nothing to fix that issue. The new eruption will still only affect soloQ survivors while swf can just easily dodge it most of the time. This means eruption will continue to do barely anything against swf but now it won't really do much against solo either.

To be honest I don't know what you and others would even want to hear outside of them just canceling the chapter altogether, which would never happen because it is bad from a business perspective to just throw away months of work just because ppl who played a beta version of the chapter didn't like it. They don't have the time to completely change the killer's look and her power or her perks and nothing they say is going to change the fact people don't like her or anything. If I was in BHVR place I would just try savage the killer by buffing her and her perks. That is about all they really can do in the time frame they have and if the chapter flops then it flops. You then count that as a loss and keep moving forward as a dev.
The game isn't going to die for having a bad chapter or two so people need to calm down. If you do not like this chapter then don't buy it and wait till the anniversary chapter which Im pretty sure be a great chapter since the past anniversary chapters have been. They don't need to make an official response just because people don't like the killer or the perks and the game isn't going to magically die when this chapter is released.
Anyway, you and others are not entitled to an official response, and even if they did give you one it wouldn't be enough anyway. A lot of you have already made up your mind that you don't like this chapter for one reason or another. It's either "she is not a robot", "She is too sexy to be a killer", "Her perks are bad", "She boring to play", and so on. Outside the complaints about her power and gameplay, most of these are just silly entitled complaints. This isn't the first chapter the perks have been bad, her design is fine for the game, and it's on you if you thought you were promised some robot killer. The only valid complaints are the ones about her how weak she is right now and that can easily be fixed with buffs. I will end this with one more thing: Every killer doesn't have to be for you. If you don't like how a killer plays or how they look then don't play them, don't buy them. That is your power as a consumer. I personally hate nurse and billy but I never once complained about them not being for me. I just simply don't play them. If there was a paid killer I didn't like then I won't buy them either.

They are.
But it's impossible to have a PTB without killers latching on to at least one Survivor perk and calling for it to be nerfed. This time around it seems Blood Rush is 'the one'.
Lol I mean I don't know why bc BR is going to give killers the excuse to tunnel you right off 2nd hook, but hey if you enjoy being tunneled when you just got unhooked and you are on the death hook more power to you.
As a killer main myself I not calling for this perk to be nerfed bc I'm afraid of it. I want it to be changed to be an anti-tunnel perk so it keeps the killer from tunneling you. Imo the game needs more anti-tunneling perks, especially a common one so you don't have to buy a DLC just bc you do not want to be tunneled.
