I say CoH. DH is annoying but you can play around it sometimes like biting it out or just being patient. I have no clue how you can play around CoH other than waste time hurting and snuffing it just for them to relight it again and again and again. Plus CoH has almost killed a playstyle, hit and run, and hurt a lot of the m1 killers. So yeah I think CoH is the worst out of the two. At least for me, it is.

Hexes cover the whole map and don't make a loud noise that's easily trackable, take 14 seconds to be cleansed by default
Boons take 14 seconds to set up by default, has a 24m radius, let out a chime so it's easy to track and takes a second to snuff
Boons aren't a problem. Circle of Healing is.
I semi agree with you but it really isn't a sec to snuff sometimes if you consider the fact you have to lineup with boon just right to do the snuff action. I can't tell you how many times I try to quickly snuff a boon only to have to find the right spot to get the prompt to pop up. Plus those couple secs as killers can mean a whole lot, that can be a gen or two being competed behind your back. Don't forget boons can be relit over and over and those few secs to snuff a boon adds up. In one match I snuffed 6 boons.... That adds up to 6 to 12 secs I could have been using to chase someone or downing, someone. Overall you right boons as a whole isn't the problem, it's CoH that the problem but it doesn't make the fact you have to snuff boons over and over less annoying.

I know how you feel. Had the same thing happen to me. Lucky they realize I wasn't going to play their little game and did the gens. I stood next to the gate the whole time and open it the sec they finish the last gen.
-
Just had a match there with a bully squad. The sec I saw the RPD and oak offering I knew what type of game I was getting then I heard boon go off. Then I got into my first chase and surprise surprised they lead me to the library and they went down. I didn't even bother picking them up since I knew it wasn't going to be any use. I just gave up and let them win. I rather walk around the map for 5 gens and take the L than deal with that.

I play her once in a while but every time I do I get stomped by survivors. Match after the match I will get on avg one to two hooks and tbh it's not really fun or worth the effort when I can play any other killer and have an easier time. Also, her blinking and fatigue messes with my me and make me disoriented. She is a powerful killer no doubt about that, she is just really really hard to learn and at the end of the day, you can play an easier killer and get easier kills.

Dowsey said in the tweet that he didn't even care about the Twitch shirts. If he doesn't care why do you?
He also said in his video today that this isn't about the twitch shirts. You right he doesn't care about them but what he does cares about is the precedent that behavior has set about criticism from content creators. By going after him and taking something away from him just because he criticize Patrick's hockey analogy and answer to the whole mmr situation, they basically sent a message to all content creators saying "If you say any criticism that we don't like we will punish you in some way." So no, no one cares his shirts being taken from him, it's the reasoning behind why they was taken in first place that people care about. A game developer should not punish content creators or anyone for offering criticism in any form. Especially criticism on what a dev said in a public fourm like the Q&A stream. Also he wasn't disrespectful towards Patrick at all in his tweets or video.

Bruh, they do not ban you for speaking your mind. I have never been suspended even once. Just don't cross their line and you are Gucci. Dowsey was held to a higher standard because he is an influencer. Simple as that. You can criticize developers without making fun of them or misrepresenting them.
Doesn't matter if he is an influencer or not. What the dev did was an abuse of power and set a tend where other streamers won't be able to speak their minds about the game without fear of being punished in some way. Everyone who is an influencer now has to walk on eggshell so they do upset someone on the dev team. Meme happens to every dev team out there, dev is made fun of every day. Do you see other devs act the same way they did when ppl criticize them? No, because most dev realizes that they are public figures who open themselves to criticism and have thicker skin. What they did is a slippery slope and will get worst if they are not called out on their BS behavior.
Also, to Mandy or some other mod, if you see this you are just in the wrong trying to silence your community. You are only making yourselves and the company you work for look bad for not allowing this discussion to happen. We are not some mindless puppets who you can silence by using some BS excuse about how this is streamer drama. It's drama your company caused and should be called out for.
Edit: Also I wanted to say one more thing. If Patrick or any other dev doesn't want to hear criticism or want a harmless meme made of them then maybe they shouldn't be the ones answering questions in a public fourm. You open yourself to these things when you agree to get in front of the public to speak. That goes for anyone: streamers, politicians, and even developers. Dowesy wasn't even disrespectful! It's not like he called anyone a name or treated them less than human. He just spoke his mind on a public Q&A and made a silly meme of Patrick.

Their response was "we don't want creator drama on our website" basically.
The funniest thing about all this is that it is drama they created by removing the shirts from dowsy's account for no good reason. Like what did they expect was going to happen? Dowsy was just going to stay quiet about all this? People weren't going to call them out on this childish behavior? This has to be the prettiest thing I have ever seen from any dev and I hope they never live it down. They need to grow up and learn to take some well-deserved criticism.

So here's the thing. When people were asking about maybe getting an MMR system... people generally thought they were asking for a system that would in fact look at an individual's actions during the match, and accurately figure out how skilled they were. The Emblem system attempted to do that but graded the outcome in such a way that it was a better indicator of how long someone played as opposed to how good they were.
What they definitely weren't asking for is a system based pretty much only kills/escapes that is ridiculously easy to game and encourages everyone to play in the most boring and unfun way possible.
At this point I legitimately think the best way forward is to reenable the ranking system as the matchmaker, add 10 additional ranks that continue the trend of making it harder and harder to pip as you go up, and make it impossible to double pip in said 10 additional ranks.
I only would want the old system back if and only if they make it where all the killers have different rankings instead of sharing one. My biggest complaint about the emblem system was it treated killers like survivors. All killers don't play the same so they shouldn't be ranked the same since your skill with one killer will be different than another.
-
I'm in the camp that both MMR and emblem systems are bad systems. The problem with the emblem system was that it treated all the killers the same rather than having a different ranking for each killer. It is not fair to punish someone who enjoys playing different killers. This happened to me more times I could count: You play one killer for a while and climb the emblem ranks as that one killer. Then you decided to try a new killer or play a different one you haven't played in a while. Well, you kinda screwed yourself now because now you have to go against better players on a killer you have hardly any exp on and have matches that are mostly one-sided because you don't know the powers of the new killer and have a harder time learning how to play that killer. The emblem system had just as many problems as the MMR system. Neither system is great and I rather see them do a better system than either one of these.

To answer the first point you made here. The Designer in question was playing on his own stream, in his own time, not his work time and the person questioning him had been answered many times and was told to supply feedback on the forums. Badgering a designer on their own time, when they are not working is not acceptable and a pretty rude thing to do.
And the 2nd point there, that was also addressed in a post on Steam where Mathieu explained clearly about what he meant. He was not dismissing players concerns but making a valid point about when you get frustrated on something, it might also be time to take a break. (I got frustrated with Bloodborn and took a 4 month break before I was calm enough to play it again - Bloodborn is the game that makes me frustrated). It was not an attempt at being flippant.
We do listen to player feedback, however, listening and implementing things are two very different things. And game designers know more than we do with regards to what will work, what won't etc and which direction the game is going to take.
The LF masks have been something that's discussed for years, and the decision was taking to remove them to prevent them being used in a hateful manner. This is not about banning players who racially abuse others - as that is done also, it's about trying to remove the tools to make it easy for players to abuse others in this manner...I'm still surprised that people are opposed to this.

Yepp exactly, it had been in development for some time - it's not a quick thing to implement. It was tested heavily also before we were ready to announce it to the Community, we plan things months in advance and things can be worked on for quite some time before they appear in the game. So many departments are involved in each stage.
On the LF masks comment, I think people are upset about that because most of the time people don't really like having something they worked hard on getting being taken away, even if taking the masks away is a good thing in the long run. Those people most likely feel like they are being punished for others' actions and the actually bad people are getting away with their actions. I doubt the hateful people who used the masks in that way even care you take them away, they will just go find another thing or way to be hateful. That being said I personally don't care if the LF masks are being taken away since I don't have any of them or cared to try for them(tbh I didn't even know they were a thing till a few weeks ago) but I do understand why many people are upset with the decision. People just don't like having things taken away from them that they worked hard to get. Also, 6k shards is a pretty lame way to repay them back and you also repaying the hateful ppl who used the mask for ill will.

To create that with those types of changes on things that we already know won't work for example is a massive amount of work - the huge programming element for one thing. It's not feasible or sustainable for the team.
We had the last mid chapter patch with an awful lot of changes in, that was very well received by the community and we did try to manage expectations there that this isn't something that could be done on a regular basis. When we make changes they're discussed, prototyped with internal testing, programmed, tested via QA etc. There's so much work that goes on behind the scenes that players are not aware of.
We're looking to implement a new Beta Tab (the one that's currently being tested on the PTB) that will help get things that we're working on tested easier - as well as give the added benefit that console users can also test out these features. It's not going to replace a full PTB for obvious reasons but it will help to test things like HUD changes etc.
I don't know maybe give a time frame on things like the GF and Legion changes? Instead of giving a vague response of "They the next to be worked on" We can take that either two ways. One: it is in the next patch or Two: it wouldn't happen between 3 months to a year from now. I think most of us just like to know a timeframe or roadmap on what yall are actually working on instead of vague promises that we may not see years from now. Also maybe slow down on the new killers and give the killers you have more TLC? I don't think ppl be to upset if we dont get a new killer every 3 months or so. I rather see you improve the killers you have now.
-
I don't mind going back to the old ranking system only if they give each killer a different rank and not a shared one. I didn't like the old ranking system bc many times as a new player(I have 200 hours as of right now) when I picked a killer I just unlocked or one I rarely play I would get game after game of unfun matches where 4 escapes and I might be lucky to get 2 hooks. Right now with mmr my matches are more balanced and I enjoy all my matches no matter the killer I am on. Plus I'm allowed to learn to use the killer power without being rushed or completely outplay in every loop. I get mmr sucks for those on the top and that is why I say I wouldn't mind going back to the old ranks as long each killer has their own rank and is not shared one.
-
yeah bc, I really enjoyed having 4 rank 1 survivors escaping with like one hook while I'm playing a killer I never/hardly played before. So much fun to be had there /s
For reals, tho is MMR a great or perfect system? No its has its problems but I've been enjoying the game a whole lot more with MMR on than off. Almost all the matches I had on every killer I play have been balanced and never felt like I was stomped into the ground. I do wish they could find a better system that would make everyone happy no matter where they are at in skill level but I do think MMR is better than the old ranking system.
-
You may be right about the 1v1(I don't have him yet or play survivor so I really don't know) but I don't think it a good idea to massively nerf a killer in one area without buff them in another. Now people who have this killer may have an unfun or unuseable killer who they spent money or shards for some unknown amount of time. I think he should get some kinda buff to his 4v1 in the same patch or hold the nerf till they come up with a way to make that happen. I know I was planning to get him next with my shards( I even thought about buying his chapter) but now knowing this nerf is coming I'm not going to spend either shards or money on him till I see how he does or if he gets a buff later on. I feel bad for those who have spent stuff on him in the past bc now they could end up with a killer who wouldn't be able to perform or just become very unfun to play as.
-
I'll still play her just because I spent money on her and I like her aesthetic. As long the nerf don't completely gut her and she is still playable I will be happy. I just don't want to feel like I wasted money on a killer that's not useable or fun to play anymore. Like, thank god billy is in the base game bc I hate how he plays, and he feels so weak to me. Anyway, it's not like I use the standstill thing that often on her and I'm still kinda new to her since so it's not like I have to completely relearn everything.

Apex is crossplatform and has not only stretched res in the settings but also FOV slider. You are in denial of reality. Go outside of your bubble and try out some other games.
You can't really compare Apex to DBD since they totally different games as Jago said but I like to add something to their argument to you. Apex doesn't also have a person whose power can be rendered completely useless bc of stretched res. Otz not long did a video that showed that a person with stretched res can reveal a Ghostface from behind a wall that a person with normal res can't. So I ask you how is that fair or balance?
