I dont see where the issue with the hitbox is there, she's RIGHT up to the wall where everybody could hit through
Then she's fine.
-
That's not really an exploit, that's just knowing where holes are and using them to your advantage.
I guess it's abusing the hitbox? But...that's BHVR's issue.
-
Like...I understand if Lobby Dodging took you back to the loading screen like it did 1.5 years ago, but a killer enters the lobby as fast as he dodges it and the survivors aren't punished like before. So there's no real reason to punish a killer.
I have a 36 minute queue time video because I was dodged 3 times back in 2018. But that issue isn't a thing anymore.
-
That's um....
That's an awful way to punish lobby dodgers who don't want to play with 3 Blendettes.
Or 2 pink haired Nea's with 2 Blendettes. Especially with the upcoming changes in match making and the match making system, making it impossible for killers to switch killers in the Countdown Lobby. =/
-
It's a better version of Spine Chill and Premonition, gives you much more time to run off, or hide or initiate your loop.
I've been playing with it for 3 days and I've been having a blast.

How long was that first chase though?
Sounds that killer was baited.
From what I recall, 3 of us spawned next to a gen, we rushed it as he was making his way.
He hit 2 of us I think he went after Nea. We just, dispersed and started working on our gens individually.
She kept him busy though.

Going for a survivor that just got off hook can be advantageous in certain scenarios. With Pyramid Head you can make the survivor tormented, if you have STBFL you can get stacks, same with remember me.
Agreed 100%. There are ways to counter it and use it to your advantage.
-
They're predicable when it comes to tunneling and camping.
Pair it up with Make Your Choice and you might as well just not unhook anyone.

How is this toxic then because there is no item (like toolbox, brand new part) the survivors are just on different gens. So are survivors supposed to just wander around until the killer gets a hook.
At higher ranks, if you gen rush, you will not pip. You have to throw yourself and engage in chases with the killer if you want to pip.
This video proves it exists, but there are perks a killer could have use, and can use to prevent it.

Woah did this guy just claim DYING LIGHT prevents gen rushing? Ahahhaha, this guyyyy.
If it doesn't, why is it used in synergy with Freddy?
Have you heard of 2020's version of Forever Freddy?
Jump Rope, Swing Chains, Dying Light, Thanataphobia, BBQ and Pop.

People look ridiculous calling each other "genrushers" and "tunnelers". Both are things that everyone has the right to do and it is a style of play to make the objective of each one.
#NO MORE HATE BETWEEN GENRUSHERS AND TUNNELERS, PEACE PLEASE.
You're right, you're absolutely right.
But.....when a simple perk like DS comes into the mix, who gets upset? The gen rusher or the tunneler?

"If you get tunneled, the issue isn't the killer, the issue is your skill, or lack there of, as a survivor"
See, I can sound silly, too. :D
Let's see.
- Corrupt Intervention.
- Pop Goes The Weasel.
- Surge.
- Ruin.
- Thrilling Tremors.
- Overcharge.
- Discordance (Somewhat)
- Dying Light.
vs the 1 Decisive Strike.
8 perks vs 1 perk.
Imagine your outrage if survivors had 8 perks to counter tunneling. I can sympathize with you then, but you have 8 perks (from my knowledge) to counter your gen rush, and 1 perk for survivors to counter a tunnel.
Get real. Stop playing the victim.

it's awesome how killers slug left and right, but when you ask them to slug the DS user it's like they're unable to lol
They slug when it's the last gen to gain momentum.
They slug when it will ensure their 4k.
But when it comes to slugging to prevent DS, they ignore it, get stunned, then proceed to make a thread on the forums on how DS is an overpowered perk and they couldn't get their 4k.
Then they proceed to give us these made up scenarios that they, themselves cannot prove that happens to them and expect the forum users to sympathize.
It's a joke.

- You're not allowed to say "gen rushing isn't real" and then complain about kill rushing. Pipe down, bud.
- It's only a bad playstyle if you tunnel someone who was hard to catch initially.
- Killers don't want the anti-tunnel aspect of it nerfed. They want it to be conditional so they can't hook you, go hook 2 other people, and find you again just to get hit with DS again. In this case, you weren't being tunneled. If tunneling was DS' true purpose, you'd have no issue with this.
"If you use your anti-gen rushing perks and still managed to get gen rushed, then the issue isn't the survivor. The issue lies in your skill as a effective killer. Survivors have barely, laughably 2 perks to counter a tunnel while killers get a plethora of perks to use to counter gen rushing.
I'm not saying Gen Rushing doesn't exist, I'm saying killers are given a lot more perks to counter a survivor's objective."
This is my quote.

@Peepo said:
Guys cmon, don't get personal pls, it's not gonna help with the issue, only pollute the topic.
No one expressed their opinion on 'hooks as cages' idea yet. :'(
(And my friends still don't want to play this game cuz of tunneling)
I don't recommend this game at all to friends because of the camping and tunneling.
It's not fun, it's not engaging, it's a waste of time. (being camped and tunneled)
-
The fact that you can't change killers in the lobby is so bad.
Just, so bad.
-
It shouldn't even be a Pink Addon anymore. It's worse than the Styptic Agent was before it was nerfed.

You CAN'T SLUG LOCKER TECH.
Let me quote you again
"They where unhooked in my face i downed and hooked the bad unhooker and I am chasing them to slug them to apply pressure."
Let me understand this.
Survivor Unhooked. Then Survivor Chased. Survivor Jumps Into A Locker. Killer Gets Stunned. Survivor Bad?
Again, the fact that you were chasing this survivor to begin with is already bad. Don't you have BBQ? You let this survivor stun you, you knew every well, you know very well tunneling with an obsession in the game can lead to a DS stun yet you did it anyways.
Stop playing the victim.

For why am i chasing them: They where unhooked in my face i downed and hooked the bad unhooker and I am chasing them to slug them to apply pressure.
And the rest of your post completely ignores mine so I won't respond.
Now they were unhooked in your face.
Now you're giving more and more unlikely scenarios. You're just throwing every possible scenario in my face and changing the story each time I defend the perk.
Go for someone else, leave 2 slugged.
lol Jesus.

This has been brought up time and time again but Locker "Tech" has no counterplay:
If the killer opens the locker the survivor DSes the killer and gets away.
If the killer leaves the locker the survivor gets away.
There is no counterplay nor anything balanced about locker "Tech"
Awesome, you keep mentioning "Locker Tech" I keep mentioning....
WHY are you chasing THIS survivor knowing very well he/she might have DS.
Why aren't you playing more aware knowing there's an obsession and someone might have DS.
Again, no one is forcing you to open that locker or chase this particular survivor.
As mindblowing as it is, there are 4 survivor in the trial. Not just 1.
-
@Warcrafter4 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1461623#Comment_1461623
Not really.
Most just want the locker "Tech" gone sense it has no counter play.
They want it to not work if you get grabbed out of unhooking another survivor. Which if they healed and your not a 1 shot killer has no counter play.
They'd want it to not work if the survivors are working on generators for the obvious reasons at this point.
So on and so forth.
However notice how none of these have anything to do with the anti tunnel part of the perk.
@Warcrafter4 said:

Most Killers only want the abusive parts of DS gone.
I haven't seen any GOOD killers who want the anti tunnel part of DS gone.
I haven't seen any GOOD killers complain about the perk. Most killers, if not all already know how to counter it and it becomes a wasted perk slot for the survivor.
Again, killers want DS nerfed for their mistakes. No one forces them to go for the unhooked survivor, no one forces them to open that locker and no one forces them to pick up the slugged survivor.
DS only works if the killer allows it to work.
-
Killers get desperate, they're bad and they want to to out someone fast.
It's just bad play style, it's unfair and as a solo player it's torture and there's literally almost to nothing you can do.
And to think killers want to nerf DS.
-
Look at these great Totem Spots.
Nothing has changed, we were told they were going to work on Totem Locations and nothing happened.
Instead they nerfed Ruined and the complaints vanished. These were 2 weeks ago.
Hex Perks are a joke.

Michael, Pyramid Head and Oni.

In Low Ranks, Killers immediately tunneling Survivors off hook is a legitimate issue that Decisive can help fix. At high ranks though, Borrowed Time is common and very few Killers hard camp.
At Rank 10, Decisive punishes campers and protects against bad teammates going for unsafe saves. It usually gets picked up by the Killer in the first maybe 15-20 seconds of the timer.
At Rank 1, Decisive prevents Killers from gaining momentum and forces them to slug. If they get stunned, it's usually at the 50-59 second marker or because the Survivor forces a pickup with the locker exploit (no, its not a tech).
Rework the perk.... again. Or just decrease the timer to from 60 seconds to 30-40 seconds. Then it will still punish hard tunneling, but it will be very hard to accidentally pickup Decisive if you're legitimately not tunneling and its just a fast paced game. Or if the Survivors are doing endgame mechanic abuse and getting everyone's Decisive activated so the Killer can't pickup
Forcing a killer to slug still adds momentum.
A downed/slugged survivor is still as useless as one on the hook. Boohoo you couldn't go for the unhooker instead.
Anyone and everyone who complains about DS users....WHY are you going for the unhooked survivor instead of being anywhere else?
Why aren't you patrolling gens? Or initiating your second chase? Stop pretending you're a victim when you know damn well you were proxy camping the hook waiting for the hooked survivor to get unhooked to proceed your tunneling.

I've been running OoO for the past 3 days.
It's so much fun. I'm a solo player though, there's no way I can relay messages to any other survivor. I do let them know that the killer is coming though, gives us a lot of time.
I've had a couple of killers DC on me, I usually die though, but when I die I'm usually the only one that dies while the 3 escape.
I ran a Freddy for 5 gens with OoO, I ran a Trapper, Pig, Doctor, for about 4 gens as well. I've had Spirits, Trappers and Hags DC on me.
I've had a blast.

When is crossplay happening? Hopefully soon, these matchmaking times are truly atrocious.
Hopefully by September or October. A month or two.
-
-
There are hardly any killers on PS4.
Playerbase is the most toxic from the 3 main platforms. SWF teams.
Just wait until cross play, it'll fix the queue times.
-
As you can tell, this is from the Event, 2 weeks ago.
I remember on the Steam Forums 2 years ago, Not_Queen announced they were going to start fixing totem locations.
Whatever happened to that?
But here's a $40 cosmetic.
-
He needs a Red Bar.
He has to put a trap down every 30 seconds if he's holding one or he'll get tired and cause him to fatigue.
Once he's fatigued, he cannot pick up a trap or hold a trap, or place a trap for 50 seconds.
-
Yeah, hard to imagine the devs give survivors something to fight off Tunnelers.
Amazing right?
-
I use Corrupt and Pop.
I use Corrupt because I don't know how well experienced the survivors I go against are and it buys me some time to get a chase or two going.
And Pop is extremely strong end game when you're picking off survivors 1 by 1 and regressing their last gen.
-
Yeah, Policing someone's playstyle isn't already smol pp behavior.
-
lol Thank God for the plethora of these posts.
Glad people turned their attention away from "Nerf DS" threads.

How to report a stretched survivor:
Step 1. Open a ticket
Step 2. Tell them they're using stretched res cause you couldn't get the 4k
Step 3. Profit
lol Oh my God.
"Survivor was looking down the entire time of the chase."
Stretched Res Confirmed.
-
The further I scroll down, the more stretched my monitor becomes.
Explain to me how you expect the Devs to fix this?
Get over it. People will be jerks and use anything to their advantage. Once it's official word that it's bannable, then you can start reporting and providing proof.
-
Yeah....equipping a perk slot for a CHANCE to use the perk at its full potential is such a waste.
We'll Make It gets used.
Self Care gets used.
Sprint Burst.
Dead Hard.
All perks that are guaranteed to be used in the trial, while Auto-Didact has a chance to be used to its full potential.
Come on....

I see that community managers statement was that it would look bad in pieces due to clipping issues but anybody complained whatsoever. That's a lot of seeds of mistrust spreaded.
Exactly.
Call of Duty does the same thing with their Cosmetics for guns.
They sell a great one in a bundle that you have to purchase for let's say $8, but it comes with charms and other skins for other guns as well.
You cannot purchase the skin alone.

It's greedy marketing tactics. They sell it as a set but they know they can sell it in pieces.
