Because it would be a sign that the game will actually balanced one day.
-
Technically, not every single person using her has mastered her, so she isn't select to win.
-
You would need to employ some pretty serious basegame changes in order to make camping and tunneling not viable, like increasing gen repair speed for every dead survivor by 10% or something along those lines and THEN rebalance the entire game so that killers are viable. A complete nightmare. Basic gaming sense and maybe basekit Kindred for SoloQ would have been enough in my opinion, but with the upcoming camping/tunneling buff, cranking out gens just won't work.
-
I guess the rational is that any nerf to his facecamping ability would be abusable. But I'm genuinely inclined to accept that.
-
Because if they took away our ability to go next when the Bubba is facecamping us and all three of our teammates are behind him crouching in a bush, even less of us would feel inclined to play.
-
Surprised nobody whipped out THAT chart. Yet.
-
Sunk cost fallacy. I've spent too much money on this game to just up and leave. Despite how much that would improve my mental health. The lizard brain is even more tunnel oriented than Nemesis mains.
-
You would think that it can't get any worse. And then it does. I'm genuinely concerned for the "balance" changes. SoloQ is going to be ten times more miserable than it already is with the Eruption meta. At least you could sorta counter Pain Res, but Eruption just screws everyone not on coms over.
-
What people need to understand is that SBMM is fundamentally broken. You can spend the entire weekend coming up with excuses as to why matches are unbalanced (ur bad, not enough people etc), but the underlying issue is that the kill/escape=skill formula will give you a rating that is utterly worthless. If you had a magic wand that ensured every single player in every single lobby had the same exact MMR, you would still end up with one side demolishing the other. Unfortunately, the devs don't have the resources or the interest to change this system, so we are stuck with it.
-
The fact that people will put him in F tier but not GF should tell you everything you need to know about the quality of their insight. The upcoming Killer general buff should benefit him nicely.
-
It's so weird, I was thinking about making a topic for my SoloQ matchmaking experience as well because for a few days now...I'm actually escaping games more often than 5-15%. Just the other day I escaped 9 out of 10 trials and this hasn't happened since SBMM was introduced. Could be just a fluke necessary by law of large numbers, but it does feel like something is going on. Sad to hear other people are having a rougher time, but for the first time in almost a year, I'm actually having fun playing.
-
They could add Kindred to basekit so that we can at least pretend they care about us. But no, not even that. If you can't SWF up, don't play the game basically. Thanks.
-
I'm going to play SoloQ and see just how bad it is. If it does become even more unbearable than it already is, I'll switch to Killer until the queue times go up so much that I can finally find a new game to play (and support in a monetary way).
-
And it's only going to get worst with the upcoming buff to camping, tunneling, slugging and survivor nerfs.
-
Pig: Her stealth is very limited with significant drawbacks, the ambush attack isn't strong at all and her traps are RNG dependent.
Sadako: While the ability to traverse the map almost instantly is great, she just doesn't have the necessary chasing power to compete against survivors that know what they are doing though her short stature can be annoying at tall loops.
Wraith: His stealth is decent, but once again, good luck downing a survivor that knows what he is doing.
Ghostface: The same as Wraith tbh, I don't feel that his rework helped him all that much, only higher up because he can instadown survivors.
Myers: Incredibly weak early game, although he does have quite the potential to snowball later on, so I don't think he is the weakest killer in the game as of this moment.
-
Why not just remove survivor perks? That would guarantee a higher kill rate.
-
I mean I guess if they broke every marathon runner's kneecaps in order to compete, it would shake up the world of sports, but I would still prefer the old ways thank you very much.
-
I guess if they actually fixed Blight's unintended techs then yeah, he would be balanced basekit wise. Nurse however is just broken full stop.
-
I guess it would depend on how long the ques are. I certainly wouldn't mind waiting 1-2 minutes if I was guaranteed not to go up against a Nurse, Blight, Spirit, Oni, Pinhead.
-
If you are super desperate, and can change your displayed username, it might be worth a shot to put the challenge name in your name so that if you run into a killer who still has empathy for some bizarre reason will help you with it. I've given a poor David the 4 pallet stuns on Badham one time and he was super happy about it, telling me how he has been trying to do that challenge for weeks but just isn't that good at the game.
-
The developers believe it would be "OP" otherwise. Lol.
-
I have never, in my two years of playing this game, had this incredibly long wait times for killer even during the best of hours. The playebase shrink is more palpable than ever.
-
Matchmaking is busted full stop, you can literally play with absolute potatoes even if you are way over the soft cap.
-
Language difference, abuse, technical aspects to a game which has so thin spaghetti code that if you change a pixel on Nurse's character you'll freeze in position if you drop a pallet with Adam on Gideon etc.
-
The fact that Onis and Blights can 180 flick still is even more of an exploit since you, as the player have control over doing it or not, while the blood orb drop rate is out of your control. Just one more reason I hate facing Onis.
-
Depends on the circumstances. If the DS survivor is trying to take the heat off of someone on death hook already, I'll just play normally. If they are trying to rub it in just for the sake of it, then yeah, laser focus.
-
Yeah. DS was already overrated but now it's almost completely worthless. And I'm still salty about the BP stacks being removed instead of made basekit as well.
-
Nothing in the next 12 months. SWF up or perish I suppose.
-
It always warms my heart when a survivor crouches exactly one time to thank it and we can carry on with our game.
-
I mean they aren't even bothering with the promised UI status update for the next 12 months that looks like it would be by the far easiest to code since every action that would need to be displayed is already being tracked by the game. Boggles the mind, but I guess SWFs and Killers spend more money on the game so they are a priority? No clue and no hope.
-
Cope is an absolute monster, I would never want to chase him.
-
Reset the stun duration to 5 seconds. Remove the skillcheck. Have the perk activate both times you are hooked. It now deactivates if you are healed into the healthy state by any means. Still deactivates after the last gen is powered. There you go, an actually healthy anti-tunnel perk.
-
Yep. And for anyone mindlessly repeating that you can now hear her phasing so what? She'll still beat you to the loop with her speed advantage.
-
The devs have been pretty reluctant to include different gamemodes and I don't think this would warrant itself its own category. However, I could see something like monthly adept events. Basically, for a weekend every month, you would have the option to que up in the adept mode, that wouldn't split numbers too drastically and it could be a nice little break from the usual sweatfests.
-
Absolutely not.
In an ideal world, Nurse, Blight and once Iron Will is gone, Spirit need to be nerfed as step one. Then, all maps must be overhauled so that they are more or less the same strength for both sides. Then add information for SoloQ, finally adjust basic gameplay mechanics + nerve/buff perks as needed, all the while taking into account SWFs. Of course none of this will happen, but luckily there are still a few people out there willing to play without coming across as someone that is being held at gunpoint to 4k at all possible cost.
-
It will either not stack with other endurance effects (my preference) or it will disable in endgame (which would just make it pointless to try saving someone from the hook after the last gen is popped, since the killer can just immediately tunnel them).
-
It definitely seems worse than before. Had a Doctor game yesterday to squeeze some extra BP in and I hit the loops like 3 times in a row.
-
Just put the DS stun duration back to 5 seconds and problem solved.
Or, if they really want to fix the game so to speak, overhaul every map and every killer so that almost everyone is as viable as the next one.
-
Probably going to be a perk at some point for endgame builds.
-
Favorites: Bubba (as long as he doesn't facecamp), Pig, Legion.
Hate: Nurse, Blight, Spirit
