nahh Im not also not gonna stay in a game when I have teammates that aren't doing #########, and aren't gonna come and get you until you hit struggle just to be farmed off the hook, and have the killer be stupid enough to down me again and I die..

Its been happening way to much and honestly, it shouldn't be the normal game play for survivors and it is. As I have said before if you are killer main and dont play much survivor, play survivor for a full day, then come tell me how you feel. <3

You are in the wrong. I agree with KeepDCPenalties. I am both a survivor and a killer. I have every achievement except for the new Chapter's. I have reached rank 1. You are not in the right just because you think you are. Don't play a team game if you are going to cry and DC if it doesn't go your way. In the description you gave, you would have died in 5 seconds anyway, but you chose to be salty, just because the killer doesn't give you a freebie. They are the killer. They are supposed to punish survivor mistakes. The team screwed you over? That does suck. It happens. But everything you described is still a child's tantrum.

  • The issue is that the people who frequently get to red ranks are the ones who are going to stick with the game no matter what. So you will see plenty of them. The casual players drop off due to DCs, bugs, the killer nerfs, etc. Now you have 3-5 minute lobbies when you play as survivor, and killers get lobbies instantly, but the killer's not necessarily playing against their own rank anymore, because there are so many survivors queued up.

If I have to go somewhere and I can't DC, AND I'm being slugged- Yeah, no. Sorry dude, I don't want to have to lay the four minutes to depip, get a timeout, and then get yelled at.

You can not play games when you don't have time? This isn't exactly a game you should be playing if you only have 15 minutes.

Ok man, sheesh. Let's try this another way.

So you are saying matchmaking and ranking are OK? (even though the developers have said themselves, otherwise??)

So you are also saying DBD is in a state that it could be used for competitive e-sports? (Please answer with a link, to a major DBD release that did not have a 100 percent game-breaking bug mass-affecting it's players)

If you reply with YES to those 2 questions, then we just disagree too much to have a discussion. Nothing personal.

Facts my man. In just this last release, can you imagine how many people would be absolutely irate if they were banned for being stuck falling through the floor (the basement bug) as was mass-reported by hundreds of players. EVERY release has had one of these.

You don't understand the line between fact and opinion. The difference between acknowledging there are issues with matchmaking in the game, and believing that those issues are justification to quit a team game. The first is fact. The second is opinion. And you are so arrogant, that if people say that they don't agree with the opinion part of your post, their discussions should be dismissed as not understanding the reality of the situation. Your opinions are not fact.

But you won't engage them. Despite doing so frequently. The only troll in your thread is you.

The fallacies you are engaged in are called 'Begging the Question' (Assuming you are correct as part of your argument) and Hasty Generalization (You frequently discuss only your experiences, rather than bringing up a wider range of evidence).

I wasn't trying to debunk anything. I don't argue with people who think the world is flat either. The detachment to reality they suffer, makes it pointless.

I'm just not interested in having a discussion with anyone who wants to argue that matchmaking, ranking, and the stability of the game are OK.

Everytime I hear the word numnuts I think of one of my favorite actors, Lee Erny. Rip buddy.

I love that you state I am detached from reality, despite me agreeing with you on those subjects. The level of arrogance here is astonishing.

"That is Begging the Question. You are assuming that the bugs and the lack of solid matchmaking are a strong enough evidence."

I didnt read past that. There are 0 assumptions here. Matchmaking, and a long list of bugs are indisputable. Furthermore my own experience in seeing other players and infinite loading screens, extensive waits during matchmaking only to be against rank 20's as a rank 1, is incontrovertible proof.

Literally proved my point to be true.

Lockers are fine rn. Knock out could use a small buff.

Not saying they have to keep it, but it would be cool to see in a PTB just to see what it is like.

  • @shadowman0105 said:

I wish I can have both survivor and killer challenges on would save the hassle of switching to the archives every time I complete a challenge

I like this one in particular. I dislike having to switch between games.

  • I got it twice before I actually got it because of ragequitting.

  • @Yogerman1997 said:

    :O

I aprove that, also do it to Knock Out and being inside a locker

Actually, yeah. All three of those could be cool.

  • That is Begging the Question. You are assuming that the bugs and the lack of solid matchmaking are a strong enough evidence. I completely agree with both premises. I do not believe the lack of solid matchmaking is in any logical way related to DCs (Though, the DCs are causing it, as described below). And if you are experiencing bugs so frequently that you crash every game, don't play and screw over your team. I can't count how many times I have seen Exhaustion come up for Dead Hard, but then I still get hit and spasm on the ground like I am having a seizure. I didn't DC because the servers screwed me, I stopped running Dead Hard. I have a bug folder for this game more than 20 individual events long, and yet I never ragequit over them.

The disconnecting issue, however, is costing them player base fast. Games are taking minutes to get into at all ranks, and matchmaking is putting us against people from a random mix of ranks, just because there aren't enough players anymore, and people getting tired of the ragequitting is a huge reason why. Watch streamers, play killer. It is rarely someone who was just standing there, walking into a wall, or not moving. It is usually the person you beat fair and square disconnecting as you put them on your shoulder or get to a hook.

  • It is a team game. The issue is, when you join a game, you agree to play a team game, same as the other three. When you DC, you make the decision to lose on purpose for yourself, and for three other people who didn't share your decision. Don't play a team game if you don't agree with the concept of team play.

  • Cool ideas, but I agree with the above. The game is just too quick if you choose to do generators.

  • You ideas all look pretty nice. I kinda had an idea where their frenzy gets more feral as it goes, and I was wondering what you think, and if it fits into your idea of how they works;

Make Feral Frenzy feel more like what its name implies; a FERAL FRENZY.

0 Hits: Legion doesn't lose sight of blood or tracks, and only has their minimal speed increase they has now. Very short fatigue (1s?).

1 Hit: The real frenzy starts; Legion gains their killer's instincts, duration refreshes, and their speed increases. Fatigue increases (2s) Vaulting becomes faster.

2 Hits: Blood and trails disappear. Duration refreshes and increases, speed increases. Terror radius increases by 50%. Fatigue increases to 3s.

3 Hits: Killer's Instinct becomes aura on non-Wounded survivors. Duration refreshes and increases. Speed increases. Terror radius increases by 100%. Attacks no longer refresh the duration or increase the stacking effect, but they also can down survivors. Hitting already Deep Wounded survivors does not break them out of Frenzy. Fatigue after frenzy is 4s, but similar to Oni, they can end the power instantly (and without fatigue) by picking a survivor up.

This way, they are heavily encouraged, and rewarded, for splitting up their attacks. Survivors will likely counter it by hiding in closets, but still, it makes it so Frenzy actually feels like it becomes stronger, more feral, and more terrifying as they start tearing into people. Its fatigue becomes justified only if it becomes deadly.

  • Honestly, not sure about ALL of these, but some of these QoLs would be really nice. I particularly like the idea of removing the RNG to his traps. Make it something you have to work to escape.

  • Tireless would lead to some serious problems at high level play. I can easily loop a killer for the 66 seconds it would take to get my exhaustion perk back. At some locations, I could potentially have a killer locked down for 5 gens if they stay on me. So their options become leave me or lose. I would say it should only work when running while not in a chase.

For Engineering Bases, you wouldn't need the extra 1/2/3% repair progress, and the size increase can be toned down. With 2 people on a gen, you have a 44 second repair speed. I think a great skill check success is already worth 1.6 seconds (Roughly 2% repair progress solo, or 3.5% duo) If you are increasing the size by 20% for two people, AND a great success grants more than double progress at rank 3, you can easily hammer out the gens consistently in 30 seconds. That can become uncounterable quickly, especially when combined with other perks like Stake Out. 4 Tokens of Stake Out + This perk, you can charge your entire group just by hitting goods without losing a single token. I know it loses all tokens when you get off the gen, but this is countered easily by just being in coms with SWF. Have your bait keep the killer away, and bam. 30 second Gen. By the time Tireless above works, you and a second could finish two gens while a single person finishes one. All by the time the second exhaustion gets used.

  • It kinda wouldn't have a niche. High level survivors can hit greats pretty consistently. Lower level survivors would have trouble dealing with a constantly changing target.

  • I disagree with the premise. The game is over for everyone if a survivor DCs too. Killers do not get emblems, so they will likely black pip at higher ranks, if that. They lose out on a lot of BP, and their add ons can't be carried to a new game. And they can't even choose to just go get a better game. The survivors are now stuck in what is likely a losing game, because an early DC is going to be a death sentence against a decent killer. They will likely depip or black pip, and lose their items, and get very few points. And they can't even choose to just go get a better game without depipping twice and losing all their points.

Without the penalty, the only one who gets to go enjoy a new game is the one who threw a tantrum. The ones they screwed over are stuck in a game that has had its value removed. If anything, it should be more severe, except dedicated servers do kick people randomly. I have seen both sides suddenly walking into walls.

Additionally, as someone who plays survivor and killer, survivors can do all the stuff you said killers do. Stand and face the wall? That is called make yourself die on first hook. Try to farm? You can try to farm as both sides, and if the other side disagrees, you just don't get to farm. Survivors can deny killers farm, killers can deny survivors farm. Face camp a single survivor? Hook rush, or gen rush.

  • It isn't. Most of them show right back up.

  • Her skin, hair, AND jacket being all dark, earthen tones makes her significantly better at stealth play, making her the only survivor who has a legit full bonus over others.

    There is nothing.

Recheck 1) in my original post... It clearly says Consoles.. and not PC..

Only mention was saying people in consoles don't use D-strike anymore, but okay. You intended it to be for only Console. I have no clue the success rates of survivors on consoles.

Also, don't worry. Bats is a troll. Best to just report him and let him whine and thrash.

  • I know, but it was a response to mooseKing's last paragraph about wanting to see how ######### each survivor behaves before game. I was just saying if the dev's took an actual stand on this, we wouldn't even need that; they CAN fix the issue, and choose not to.

  • Also:

"And I am a Killer main. I played more time as a Killer than any other time I played as a Survivor. But I am not a Biased killer like yourself. I understand "Killers need to be OP" but all the recent changes that they made BROKE the game for SURVIVORS. Even when I play killer I feel bad for the Survivors because Ik they have NO CHANCE."

Putting things in capitol letters doesn't make your point anything but worse.

I just won 3 games in a row. Survivors stand a chance.

  • You do know you didn't mention consoles until your second post. So no, I didn't know there were changes proposed for consoles.

  • Correction on 6. 9 games WITH Ragequitters, overall, I think the total number was closer to 20, though once two people Ragequit, the other two usually just give up.

    1. Decisive used to be in nearly every game. Based on your own way of measuring things, we should not put it back to normal, because it was too strong. You can have other perks, it was often a crutch anyway.
    2. You literally would render all slugging builds useless, and just complained about a SINGLE perk being useless. Slugging isn't supposed to be avoided it is a feature. Also, I am doubting that you are a killer main at this point, as you complained about D-strike, but ignored what it would do to Knock Out and Deerstalker.
    3. The Plague has already been nerfed and overnerfed. I continue to think you are not a killer, you are a survivor complaining about what you do not like. She cannot instant slug, get terrain inbetween you and her, and she is easily avoidable. Also, no. Nothing wrong with Broken.
    4. Killers are not overpowered. The Killers are SUPPOSED to be stronger than the survivors. Most maps, I can have a gen done before a single person is downed. If done optimally, three survivors can get three gens done in 80 seconds. Again, nothing you say supports you being a killer main, you are more likely a liar.
    5. You are likely being biased and trying to present yourself as not. If you are a low level survivor, ######### is hard.
    6. The biggest detriment to survivors not surviving from what I have seen is farming, disconnecting, and Urban Immersion. WGLF's unhook benefit not being based on SAFE unhooks means I have had numerous survivors kill me or others. Unhooking adjacent to killers without BT is common. I played 30 games and tracked the results, out of which I think 9 had ragequitters and 8 had people who never connected. Finally, more noticable when playing survivor, a lot of time is wasted by survivors who do stupid stuff like sneak around when the killer isn't even close, or wait near hooks for the killer to leave. They do not optimize their times.
    7. If you think I am misjudging you, I welcome you to post a video of your games to show that it is NOT the fault of the players. (Survivor works better for this than killer, since you can have perks that show their actions. Bond, Aftercare, and Empathy really helps show when your allies are slacking)
  • I would like some interactions too. A feel the maps don't have much making them unique. A really nice area for baiting/besting the killer, but there is a lion, and a chance it will injure you while dicking around in there.

  • I would like to just see the devs take a stand against ragequitting. I tracked 30 games the other day, and I think 10+ had ragequitters, another ~8 were lobby simulator or never connected 3 mans, and only about 30% were normal, 5 player games.

  • You just made their own definition of what is done and presumed their failings were shared with those around them. Please stay on topic @KillermainBTWm8 , and avoid insulting anyone who isn't being toxic to you first.

The op is making excuses and then keeps changing their story each time you give them counters to their argument. It's Straw Mans, Red Herrings, insults and deflections the usual troll posting form someone that can't accept they need to improve.

I can play Jeff and be super stealthy and not be seen unless the killers good something some in this thread aren't or I want to be seen.

You are not the only priority Bats. People get responses in the order they respond. To you, actually, the falacy you are looking for was mentioned earlier as being one you are using, known as a moving the goalpost falacy. And I have not changed my story. In the last what? 6-7 posts? I have asked you to simply discuss the point. You don't. You never have. You just flame. You literally ignored that I called you out for acknowledging that you are a point no one made. I would say more, but you clearly cannot read.

  • Didn't know I was in the presence of a god who has never failed at stealth once. Please, we have a separate forum for deities. Us mere mortals aren't fit to be in your presence. To have never once, in your life, been caught by a killer? Incredible.

You still can't stop trying to troll your way out of this and keep changing your story, you were given several ways of countering her.

Oh and if you're still so adamant there's no counterplay to her Freddy would like to say hi, as would Doctor you know the one that shocks Claudette's out of stealth. Oh and then there's Trapper who's traps ignore Claudettes, Hag's traps that ignore Claudette's stealth.

Lets see there's Whispers and Spies from the Shadows, there's 3 killers with aura reading within 12/16/32 meters. Oh and did i mention Freddy that can see anyone regardless of outfits.

The only unfair advantage is the one you refuse to adapt and get better against, ever watch Marth88 destroy P3 Claudettes on dark maps? IT's because he knows how to play against them because he's played as one.

Since you think it's totally unfair prove it by getting her to P3 and playing against good killers at rank 1. Now we both know you'd never be able to do that because you would have to admit that GOOD killers have no issues with her.

Oh and your typing out of both sides of keyboard posts from the 1st page say hi.

Wow. I literally said that you are arguing against the point that there is no counter play, and that no one said that... then in your next post, you outright state you are arguing against a point only you made. That is straight up flaming.

    Literally;

Me: "You are counter arguing the argument "There is no counterplay." No one said that. You seem to assume someone said that. The argument is 'There is unfair advantage for one character.'"

THEIR NEXT POST: "Oh and if you're still so adamant there's no counterplay to her Freddy would like to say hi, as would Doctor you know the one that shocks Claudette's out of stealth. Oh and then there's Trapper who's traps ignore Claudettes, Hag's traps that ignore Claudette's stealth."

I don't even know how you deal with this. Is it stupidity, or a troll? Or some twisted amalgamation squeezed from the infected rectum of the internet?

Also, it has still failed to address the actual arguement. It is impressive, it's dedication to revealing its own mental failings.

  • You are counter arguing the argument "There is no counterplay." No one said that. You seem to assume someone said that. The argument is "There is unfair advantage for one character."

In your tenth post harassing people here, you have still yet to actually mention the argument at all. You are repeatedly ignoring the point and trolling.

  • @powerbats said:

The circle of nonsense is hilarious from you two and I laugh so hard how he ignores how badly he got exposed for trying to troll. Then it's the typical killer main troll response I'm going to ignore you because you dared counter me with actual facts and logic.

You both suffer from an extreme lack of using your senses, perhaps this meme will help you both.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/880/7VYIVB0JWHA0.jpg

Oh and op you can't run or hide or troll your way out since your own quotes expose you.

Like how you ignore me pointing out that you never once address the point of this thread? What was your main again?

So you are acting just how you say killer mains act, and projecting it. Got it.

    @BastardKing

So, do you want all survivors to have similar/same color palettes?

No, the only issue is her dark brown jacket in her original skin and P3 skin. Just enough so that picking her doesn't give an advantage over other survivors.

  • And then he gets MAD that we are not chasing his moved goal post, even though it is entirely non-sequitur to the point. Legit mad. It is really kind of a ######### situation.

  • @NathanExplosion Bats is just kind of an idiot. He isn't even addressing the point being made, and is instead using it as a discussion of skill. Not once has he actually addressed the issue that Claudette is darker, and that gives her an advantage on all but three maps. Instead, he uses it as a chance to insult others. He is a great representative of the community. Nothing but toxic and viewing every talk as a chance to fling ######### like the monkey he is.

  • Here. Let me dumb it down for you, since you have trouble with basic thought.

Point: Claudette is inherently better at stealth than any other survivor due to her color palette.

You: HUR DER. *Shits self* I CAN FIND HER!

Okay, I get you can find her. That is not relevant. There are perks and abilities that let you find people. That is not relevant. What is being discussed is that one character has an advantage for no reason. Anyone finding a Claudette doesn't change that my last six games have had 1-2 Claudettes with Urban Evasion. Never anyone else with Urban Evasion, not even Nea. Always Claudettes. She has an advantage, and that is separate from your capacity to find her or not. This is why I do not take you seriously. Nothing you have said is relevant. It is pointless bragging about your ability to find a survivor or use a perk. No one cares. Sorry, I know I used words with three syllables, but I hope you can make it through.

  • Yeah, this is exactly the kind of stupidity I expect from you. Keep ranting and whining and ignoring the point. Gonna stop bothering to give full explanations when you speak, all you do is say what you want, regardless of the points made.

  • Brilliant contribution, exact level of thought I would expect from a Dwight.

  • I said that she has an advantage over OTHER SURVIVORS, dumbshit. I am upset that there are so many P3 Claudettes who have distinct advantages. But hey. Keep using that big brain of yours to project your point and ignore others, despite never once addressing the valid and stated issue at hand, which is not that I cannot find them, but that she has an advantage over other survivors.

I swear, ######### idiots like you are why nothing ever gets better. No one wants to hear your non-sequiturs. One thing in that giant ass post of yours is even close to relevant, and everything else is just you bragging that you think you are good.

  • I am a survivor main. xD You didn't even read what was said. The problem is that she is stronger than other survivors for nothing but having darker skin and clothes. You kinda just ruined any chance of being taken seriously by not reading basic #########.

  • Which is why I said, four times so far, that rewarding bad behavior encourages bad behavior and shouldn't be done.

  • @KillermainBTWm8 said:

Just change WGLF by making it so if the killer's terror radius is still up you don't get stacks when unhooking.

There are legit reasons to. BT last second saves near gates. Getting past a face camper. Just make it so unhooking ISN'T a point, so people won't do it stupidly to farm allies. That isn't hard or extreme. Farming allies is a prominent problem in DbD.

  • 2nd game in a row, the person unhooked me next to the killer, blocked my escape, and let him down me again. David with WGLF. So shocked.

  • The problem is, the current ways don't work. My last game, I got farmed and sand bagged by a David with WGLF. He stood in front of the pallet and let the Billy kill me so he could get another unhook. Something permanent, farmable, and damaging to your fellow survivors cannot be something rewarded. You can still be farmed with 'safe' unhooks with BT. More than new ways, I want the unhooking to be removed or limited, to prevent farming allies.

  • I agree. Maybe bump some action points too. I main Legion because he is the best farmer; 1500bp per hit. This is because;

To max Brutality, you would need 20 hits and 20 pallet/generator breaks. (Unless you are Legion, since hits are easier and faster)

To max Deviousness, some killers get very, very little for hard actions, while others get a ######### ton. (Legion gets 150 for a full Frenzy + 250 for deep wounds)

Chase is only worth 200 to start, and progresses pretty slowly.

Sacrifice is Sacrifice. Just bump a bit with an increase.

    Boldness on the survivor end is good, but IMO, it is the ONLY good one. Boldness earns a lot of points, as it should. However;

Objective, not counting skill checks, gives 1250 for finishing a full gen alone. (Working together slows the game down, and is less effective) This would mean, barring skill checks, you need over 6 gens for each person to get full Objective points. Doing a gen should be worth a bit more, as that is what gets people out. You can be the biggest, most badass boldness player, but that doesn't open a gate or spawn a hatch.

Altruism is kinda problematic, similar to Gatekeeper, because your control of it is minimal. If the killer does poorly, there will not be people to unhook and heal. Also, for WGLF, Protection events do not properly trigger the bonus. But make healing worth more, especially given how conditional this is.

Survival would just need a bump for escaping.

  • Current discussion, literally the post below yours. :P

Would love to see the game scarier. Just add some settings that makes it scarier.

  • Overall seems like a better idea than what we have now. The devs forgot the ######### requirements of some killers. Like if I hook you and need to break pallets nearby, or set traps as trapper/hag, or vomit on you as Plague. Some actions are legit and needed, and penalizing people for standing around breaking some pallets is BS.

  • Killers are reactionary, not deciders. I would say if they take too long, have the killer auto win. Too many people locker swapping to ######### with killers, and no one does anything against people who hold the game hostage. Each gate has 2 minutes after opened. Hatch should not spawn after a gate is opened.

1 … 8 9 10 11
