Can we apply this same attitude towards killer strategies?
If someone complains about slugging, we can say “You heard it here folks - Survivors prefer hook camping Killers”
Rather odd isn't it, survs hate being slugged, but yet will try to remove a way that prevents slugging.

Lobby dodging should be highly discouraged. It messes with matchmaking and also artificially increases queue times. SWFs have as much of a right to play this game as everyone else. Also just because someone plays in a SWF that doesn't mean they suddenly turn into a professional basement dweller.
Chances are you play against more SWFs than you think and mostly don't notice any difference. But SWFs have a pretty bad reputation because many killer players find it easier to cope when claiming everyone they lose to clearly plays in a SWF.
You can play as much as you like in kill your friends though. Oh you don't earn bp? Isn't the point to play with your friends and not farm bp? Or are you actually using a swf to farm bp?
Just because you want to play with your friends, doesn't mean i want to.

At the lobby, if the killers guess the foes are a bully team, and the killers think they can't handle them decently, they can go for whatever bad playstyle they want. But if they do it all the time, all of their trials, that's just their excuse 🙃.
There is no ladder in dbd, so there is no ""bad" play style, some are more suited for the once a month rank that only matters to you.
But if you play dbd for fun, then however you enjoy it is up to you.
-
Just shows how outdated the old m1 killers are. Reworking perks doesn't help as it affects all killers then.
If only there was some way to prevent perk stacking…………. Oh wait there is they just cant be bothered adding a max "use" to perk categories.

Don’t worry I’ll tag you in a video I’m making where I denied the killer from hooking so many times they completely gave up on hooking! It was sad and I hated to do it to the poor killer but I had to demonstrate how OP it is.
I’ll comment here and tag you when I upload it after work today!😬
And c3tooth, seeing they think is very hard to sabo deny a killer.

You give players the capability to ruin each other's games they will gladly take it and embrace it. Dbd has a freedom problem that slowly being fixed since release. The devs apparently don't have a person who "plays nasty" and there test games are groups of friends with unspoken rules you can see it clearly by looking at the game from release to now.
While almost any other game has limits" like the creators predicted people will be abusive so they block off your teams spawn from the opponent dbd doesn't even consider that a issue slugging tunneling camping. They are allowed because they are "strategies" but I know a not so insignificant group of people don't care about getting a 4k as much as ruining the time of 1-2 players as being able to flex power over some one is a very killer like mind set this game is very primed and ready for groups of people on both sides of the fence going in with the only goal of making some one of as many people as possible miserable.
So yeah survivors and killers shouldn't have the power to ruin people's games remove and replace theses mechanics
So full sabo squads shouldn't exist either then?
Survs abusing boil over in rpd should have been banned as well?
Both "sides" can play "toxic".
It''s a game with no ladder of ranking so just enjoy your own game, want to be a slugging face camper go for it. Want to tbag and flashlight/sabo spam go for it.
When you stop caring about results in dbd, you'll enjoy it more.

He'll be a solo q stomper.
But if the survivors know what they're doing, he won't be that oppressive
Then thats the issue, how do you balance it? You can just keep juggling killer powers it ends up endless, either buff solo i.e handicaps to repair speed etc,, and add a handicap for swfs, as in slower repair times.

THIS! It's always a problem when killers/ killer perks finally get the necessary nerf, but where's that same energy when survivor perks get nerfed, especially unreasonably so. (Ahem…Adren….)
I'd rather they did them equally and at the same time.
I remember Mori's getting a nerf, (rightfully) but keys were a year later. Doesn't seem to be done evenly.

Some killers have a mindset with survivors being toxic and thinking "if I kill them they cant toxic", making killers obsessed with getting kills are all that matter. They dont understand that toxic people will toxic either they win or lose.
But if you don't care about winning or losing, what does it matter?
There''s no metric for ranking as in we can see a ladder so what does it matter? Plenty of games i've ran into Sabo squads or the other day 3 man swf all with for the people, so it results in slug/tunnel/camp.
I used to care about the "ranks"" but no more, so i make my own fun.
-
You can use hatchets just for zoning, Many times i throw near a surv, if it hits thats good if it misses sometimes they run into something allowing for a melee hit anyway.

MFT is exceptionally good, but it has prerequisites.
You need to be injured.
You need to be at a long loop.
It will not benefit players that aren't good.
You cannot be playing against certain Killers.
The same could be said for old dead hard.
And it was still nerfed/fixed.
-
Not going to see any issues with that first perk and the sprint stacking with made for this??

I’ve heard many say they want Blight nerfed. I haven’t heard why. Can you tell me what you believe needs nerfing/reworking?
From what i understand from reading here over a few years:
He's a high skill, high reward killer, when you're good with him he is God tier, when you're not he is trash. So if you run into a dedicated Blight main with enough hours, you'll probably get stomped. (Much like how good nurse players are)
Some of his addons, make the afore mentioned even worse, so if you're great with Blight, the addons make it far worse for survs.
His power much like nurse negates the one thing survs have to survive, running/distance.

Because they wont take 30 seconds dancing around the hook because you refuse to hit any of them. Survivors use that time to line up the bodyblocks.
They will need to commit to a rescue immediately, because you will have no reason not to whack them at your first opportunity. Immediate commitment to rescue means they have to have perfect timing and positioning on the first try.
They still will wait for 4 people to get there if they have that.

Hahaha hahaha
Eruption, CoB, Overcharge and PR was meta. Guess what? Killers still camped and tunneled with the most oppressive and objectively killer-sided meta we've ever had.
Until tunneling is no longer the easiest and most effective strategy, Killers will still use it.
Not every killer did or does that, just like not every swf is a rpd boil over sabo squad.
-
Until gen regression is meaningful then tunneling will be the best gen regression.
-
Camping/tunneling could be a dealt with to a point by making gen regression meaningful, Things like basekit Pop goes the weasel and insta stop regression by 0.1 sec of repairs.
and hook progression slowed by killer proximity. Depends on survs alive/gens.
Perks need to be placed into categories so that stacking of certain types of perks can't happen.
Item's and addons need to be prevented from being stacked especially in a swf environment.
Solo queue survs need a bigger field of view.

If they can pull off the hook save, that's fine.
There was nothing good about a game of chicken at every hook stand off. Instead of baiting each other for 30 seconds survivors will jusy commit to the unhook right away. That alone will make a coordinated bodyblocking save more tricky to pull off.
How will it make it harder if there is 4 alive? Instead of getting a guaranteed grab onto hook i could get 4 wounded states and zero hooks?

And? I know Killers have the weird mentality that they deserve a pity Kill in Endgame. But most likely camping Killers will still get a Trade, unless the Survivors are organized AND all of them are alive. And if the Killer did not manage to kill one single Survivor during the Trial, the Survivors can also deserve to escape.
Well i did state in a 1 v 4 at ecg its most likely they won't. I wasn't asking for pity merely stating a likely scenario.
And it's funny you mention pity for killers, but in your last line you think that if 4 are alive that "survivors can also deserve to escape"
Bit of pity bias there?

You can be whatever sexual orientation you want, but it doesn't mean you have to put out a memo regarding it. I can see a same sex couple holding hands, and think that's great and good for them, it doesn't mean i need written confirmation of their sexuality.

Seeing as each and every original character in the game has quite extensive lore, and romance is a part of almost everyone's life at some point or another, that alone is reason enough to justify the inclusion of LGBT+ characters.
So has Diablo, so has Guldan, so has Nagash in Warhammer and Deckard Cain.
Plenty of fantasy characters have massive amounts of lore, but they don't all include what they got up to in the bedroom.

Until gen regression is useful. Then killing survivors will be the best regression. (can't repair when you're dead)

You're acting as if changing it wouldn't also annoy a lot of the customers. Who would want to play a game where you're actively punished for playing with friends?
And you act as though swfs don't annoy alot of customers.
If the game had any form of balance to take in the affect swfs have upon balance i wouldn't care, but the devs don't factor it in.
-
Does it give an advantage over solo survs and killers? Yes.
Would they ever change it? No.
Why? $$$$, It encourages your friends to either buy the game or cosmetics etc.
Businesses answer to shareholders/investors first, customers second.
-
I highly doubt they will display data. That leads to criticism.
Much like showing mmr, Oh it may reduce some toxicity but it would also show if the system is busted.

So we should nerf WoO because it's the most popular survivor perk atm.
And ofcourse by that logic, some killer perks will be nerfed too. And some survivor perks as well. Because there is a lot perks which is more popular than MfT.
Well isn't that what they did with bbq, dead hard and whole lot of other perks?
-
Some have been a bit buggy and not counting, i did the random perk one as a surv and i had to do it twice.
-
I never liked them at all, all it does is put a big flashy mark over your head saying "im here come hook me" or "im coming run away from me"
-
If every survivor is going to start running it then that should start alarm bells ringing. Survivors don't all use one perk because its balanced.
I see it being the new dead hard.
-
Is there something special for doing so? or just "look at me points"
I only play 3 killers really, and 1 surv and i've got nothing to unlock except for addons so not sure on the why.
-
Gremlins.
-
Comps for dbd will never work, because there will never be any form of balance.
There are far to many variables for this game to be balanced.
1v4 adjusting a killers power for when 4 survs are up compared to 2.
perks, solo vs swf and the impact of stacking perks.
Item/addon on stacking again limits for comp play.
Until perks are put into groups and limits put on perks you can take in those groups it will just be a endless rotation of stacking the f.o.m perks.
From watching 1 comp match it was pretty boring, face camping with the twins, tunneling, slugging and noed. All the things survs hate.

This is why I'm convinced you're not actually reading what I'm writing. I am not talking about typical camping and slugging. I am talking about slugging someone till they bleed out instead of hooking them, facecamping them from the beginning of the match or beating them on the hook over and over. None of these things whatsoever increase your chances of winning, nor are they competitive strategies. Yet I am running into matches over and over again where these BM tactics are frequent, and it's ruining any semblance of fun the event could have for me. So, I ask again, why are you defending them? I guess you take no problem with all 4 survivors standing in the exit gate and teabagging till they get forced out either, because it's 'within the rules' for them to do so. An action doesn't have to be bannable for it to degrade the gameplay experience.
When I said I'd go 'head over heels' for a farming killer, I was saying that to emphasise that the killers I've been getting have been outright toxic. I'd gladly take a game where the killer just lets us trade hooks and we all get a big payday over the consistent matches I've been playing right now where the killer goes out of their way to be as toxic as possible, from the get go, not giving a damn about winning but about instead spreading toxicity. I want to play a typical game. Farming gets boring quick. But there's no point in playing a game where the opposition go out of their way to BM you at every turn for just wanting to play at all.
By your logic, I'm supposed to just accept that the killers I verse want to ruin my games, through how there is hardly any killer interaction (facecamping), being forced to wait till I bleed out to keep my points (being slugged to death) and being BM'd (beaten on the hook), and then just keep playing? Why should I bother? I hardly make any points from these games and there is little incentive otherwise for me to play when the killer wants to be toxic. Seriously, why bother?
And i stated im not defending it.
"By your logic, I'm supposed to just accept that the killers I verse want to ruin my games," Yes you are. You cannot change how other people play, only how you react to it.
If you're being slugged for 4 mins, take a break, i read wikipedia on my second monitor, use the W.C, eat whatever.
Same when im a killer waiting on survs to leave a game, i walk into a corner stare at a wall and do something else.

Not everyone wants to play zoom zoom killers. Its disorienting for some people.
Chase powers would just make every killer the same and would get boring hella fast.
Some killers like myself like to play methodical, slow, and practically evil killers. Its why killers like Skull Merchant fit my play style so well. But I can't enjoy her when I know for a solid fact that she's gonna get a fat nerf or rework soon and I have to constantly try to find a new killer to play.
Try Anna.
Holding W isn't a win against her, nor is throwing pallets, however hiding behind high objects can be.
She's a older killer so she won't be getting reworked.
-
Tunnel someone hard if you can.
If the survs care about the person, they'll get off gens and try to peel/block for the surv. Thereby giving you the advantage.
Then proxy a hook if your way behind, i.e 2/3 gens done and 1/2 hooks only.
You have to create pressure and the only way to get that is to have someone near death.
-

Let them die. You can't fix stupid. Make the game about you surviving. I have games where i have zero interaction with the killer.
I do unhooks when its safe, i do my gens, but i generally don't do hero plays.
-
It shouldn't have to happen. Survs standing at a gate for no reason other than to waste someone's time. Just duckhead material.
-
Survivors are their own worst enemies.
Stop running everywhere, it helps me find and kill you.
-
Just had one fool complaining i stood on top of 3 people who i had slugged with Oni.
Why would i leave my stack of bodies to go chase a random. it wasn't intentional it just happened in a corner with only 1 hook and a few Kanabo slams.

But how you will fix slugging issue with this? Because this will just slugging even stronger. Gens are slower. So if you don't kill any survivor, you are safe. You just need to use slug builds and then whenever you get everyone down, start to hook.
Do it on health state then, if all survs are healthy slower speeds, if one is injured and 1 is on hook speed it up if one is slugged speed it up
The game knows if they're being chased or on hook or slugged.
-
If you really just after the 12? cosmetic from invites, then just play killer, you can get your invitation then play however you want.

Playing to win doesn't involve facecamping the first survivor you hook. Nor does it involve slugging them till they bleed out or beating them on the hook over and over. At the very least, this behaviour is completely uncalled for and I don't know why you're defending it. It ruins the game for everyone involved.
And I thought I wanted everyone to jump on the farm fest, not a normal game? Which is it?
Im sure people have their reasons for playing like they do. Im not defending it. But comp games generally involve, tunneling and slugging, and that is playing to win.
im stating a fact, if it's within the rules its allowed. The sooner you understand not everyone who plays dbd believes in playing a certain way the sooner you'll enjoy the game more.
Well you've said you want a "normal" games "I want every game to be treated like a normal game!"
Then you also state "I'd jump head over heels for an actual farming killer, although the last one I had betrayed us with NOED and Blood Warden and left me questioning my own existence."
So which is it?

Not saying that at all, but I'm saying a killer can push survivor out and still play the game where a survivor can do literally nothing but bleed out for minutes
killers can already force the egc which is a 2 minute timer to force survivors to leave which the killers can actually pressure the survivors to leave
survivors just bleed out for 4 minutes, given the killers don't waste even more time by picking them up and hooking them when they are about to bleed out
Im not attempting to say one is better than the other, i agree its a crap way to spend 4 minutes, but so is having to force survs out who can leave freely.
But what i will say i guarantee you more killers will have time wasted by survs at exit gates than the amount of times you're slugged for.
@ReverseVelocity said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3464847#Comment_3464847
Maybe not kill, but I think an option to force all living survivors to escape when the gates are open would be good. The less opportunities for BM the better if you ask me.
If there is nothing to do, as in all survs are in the gate area, its just people being duckheads for no other reason than to waste someones time.
-
It's always acceptable, it's within the rules.
Survs will do whatever they please to complete their objectives you should do the same.
In some instances it's not the best tactic from a overall game situation, but you should never feel bad about doing it. They don't feel bad for breaking hooks, t bagging, spamming flash lights, using pallets, standing at the exit gate. Why should you feel bad?
