  • If it is fitting, why not. Like, I would totally want to have a Highschool of the Dead-Chapter, because I like boo… Zombies. I like Zombies.

Jokes aside, as long as it fits, it is fine. But given the fact that we have people like Nicolas Cage or Lara Croft in the game, basically everyone can join the Fog, so dont be surprised if we have Crayon Shin Chan at some point.

special Server where only very strong Players are playing.

DbD is such a strange community, the worse you say you do at killer, the better people seem to think you must be.

I'd believe the idea that there is some super powerful MMR I haven't reached yet and/or just isn't my region, but every time I watch a major streamer with giant kill rates, their survivors look pretty much like what I see as killer. Sometimes they are really good, usually not, and the killer players have to put handicaps / challenges on themselves to make the game interesting.

This is because at some point you reach the Soft Cap and everyone above this Soft Cap is clumped together. There might not be any Matchmaking at all if you reach that point.

You can expect that some Killer Main Streamers like Otz are at very high MMR. But for the matchmaking, their MMR is the same as the MMR of above average players. E.g. I faced Otz a few times, but I am clearly not as good as he is. But I reach the Soft Cap. And if the Soft Cap is, lets say, 1500 and Otz has 3000 MMR, he would still be matched with people from 1500 MMR and above.

So if people struggle a lot it most likely means they are really not that good. But if you create challenges for yourself to make the games interesting, this most likely means that you are way above the Soft Cap. And a stricter Matchmaking would just mean that players who play a lot and play good will wait a long time for a game. (As we have seen with Dowsey back then when he had a big Winstreak on Twins and had to wait for hours to find a match and only found one, when a Comp-Team sniped him)

And this is also why you cannot really give anything about people who claim they face the best Survivors all the time. The matchmaking is so watered down that this is just not possible. (But on the other hand, for a bad player, even mediocre opponents seem to be really good…)

I expected AT LEAST no map offerings, but seems like they wasted all development time on animations on perks in the start of trial.

Exactly. The main fun in Chaos Shuffle is that you dont go against Meta all the time. But having a bad build yourself and then getting send to Badham by Survivors or to Midwich by a Nurse just makes it frustrating.

How edgy of you. Sorry, but you're probably one of those killers who do this.

The game is about killing people on hook, not bleeding out for zero reason on the floor.

It's players like this that ruin events for everyone and you can't quit because of the DC penalty. If this stuff happens, you should 100% get a free DC without penalty (4 slugs on floor = free DC).

The game is about killing people on hook, not bleeding out for zero reason on the floor.

    ^ this.

    Two pretty obvious things:

    1. Bleedouts give next to no Bloodpoints.
    2. The game is designed around Survivors basically having 3 "Lives". If it would be only 1 "live" (aka either bleeding every Survivor out or getting all 4 slugged and one-hooking them) Survivors would have to be far stronger.

But Killers know that slugging is extremely strong, even stronger when it is unlikely that anyone has a Perk against it. And doing it during Chaos Shuffle just shows that they are not slugging because Survivors have so many Perks which activate when getting unhooked.

  • They only slug because of Unhook-Perks, trust!

An incentive for those left behind wouldn't solve the issue really. The people left behind leaving aren't the ones we need to encourage to stay, it's the ones that leave in the first place. Making the 3v1 better would be great, but incentivising people to stay to prevent a 3v1 in the first place is the better solution.

Even if you gave the 3 survivors a million blood points after someone rage quits it still wouldn't be fun or solved. The 3 survivors are still stuck in a losing game, the killer is stuck in a boring match, and the survivor who left is already in another game to ruin.

There needs to be something that encourages people to stay and stick the game out, even if the start was bad. I think Scott is partially right about the depip thing, but overall I think it was just the last nail in the coffin as they've removed most reasons to stay in the match. Iri shards used to be tied to the length of a game, depips are now gone and ranks are meaningless, and bloodpoints are basically handed to you for free that at this point only newer players are in need of them.

The only thing left that does really reward you for staying, is that you gain more MMR the longer the game lasts. But you can't even see your MMR so it's not really a reward is it :/

I mean, ideally you would give incentives for people to stay and not give up in the first place, I agree. One thing would be to remove certain, very frustrating things in the game. You will always have people who quit early, this cannot be avoided. E.g. I had a DC in a Billy-game because the Survivor got hit by me with a Chainsaw across the Map. This is not Bily being unfair, this is the Survivor messing up a lot. And you cannot do anything against that.

But if we look at Nurse and see that most games against Nurse are not really worth playing… This is a different topic.

However, the next best thing after making people quit less is to make the game worth playing for those who were left behind. And I dont really talk about BPs here, but that you have a chance to win the game, even if the game is an early 3v1. This includes an early 3v1 due to a DC/Suicide and an early 3v1 because of tunneling. Because my point still stands - once the game is a 3v1, the Killer will take their time, since they won and will probably just farm BPs for themselves. But the Survivors are just there to provide BPs, they cannot win. Sure, they also get BPs and Emblems, but it is still not fun to keep playing a game you already lost.

One option would always be to allow people to DC when there is a DC early on (or a Hook Suicide). Sure, would need to have some restrictions, mainly that you cannot do it after a certain point of progression is reached. But i dont want to stick around in a 3v1-game when not even a single Gen is completed, regardless of the role.

Another option would be to make Survivors stronger when there is a DC or Hook Suicide. But this would not really be possible for tunneling, since 4 Survivors participated in the game and the Killer won 3 chases against that one Survivor.

but still, kinda back to the topic - that's how my matches go if i play dbd late at night without friends xd p100 nurses, blights xD

We both had 9-10k hours that match and couldnt win against p100 nurse with 2k hours because she focused our teammate who wasn't really good

Yeah, the Claire who was focussed had 400 hours. But my games yesterday were also really strange, I went against 70% Nurses or so, four of them in a row.

  • Yep, exactly that, lol

  • On an unrelated note, did you play against a Nurse on Badham yesterday, playing as Ace?

  • @[Deleted User] said:

It mostly boils down to giving survivors a reason to stick out matches. Pips are meaningless for veteran players. And you'd have to really not value your time to think spending another 10 minutes in a trial you already lost is worth it. The overwhelming majority of "go next" that I see stems from one sided trials.

    ^ this.

ScottJund tweeted yesterday that the Hook Suicides increased when they removed depipping, which I cannot disagree more. People who go next dont care about BPs and BPs is all you get from pipping up.

I think if Matchmaking would be rank-based again AND Depipping would be back, there would be far less Hook Suicides. (Even tho I have to say, the removal of Depips makes it less frustrating to be in a game which is already lost)

But in general, there needs to be an incentive for those who get left behind. It should either be the option to DC, because nobody wants to continue an early 3v1, or a massive Boost for the remaining Survivors which would make their odds of surviving the Trial much higher. Because currently in an early 3v1 you are a BP-Pinata as Survivor, you will not escape, there is 0 chance that you will escape (unless Matchmaking was completely wonky and the Killer is way worse than the Survivors), but you have to stick around.

  • IMO if the person in Chat was in that game as well, aka the other Survivor besides you, then I would say it is reportable.

If they were just chatting and noticed that one of their friends is playing and asking to let this person go, it is not reportable.

In general, a Killer is allowed to let Survivors go and let others get killed instead (e.g. a person was hiding the whole game and the Killer decides to let the person who actually participated in the game go to find the person who was hiding all game). As long as they are not working together, it is fine.

Nah, your opinions just indeed made me believe that about you and I kept my tongue cause everyone is entitled to their opinions after all, but now that you started thinking you're a judge of other people's skills at this game cause of said opinions someone has gotta knock you down a peg cause you're def not all that either.

Also frankly I'm sure you're an even worse killer than survivor, but cause you're likely not the type to get out of the MMR where you meet default skins Dwights and Megs you probably can't notice that ;).

I most likely have more hours on Killer alone than you in total. :) So you can assume all you like. Funny that you are now doing the same I have done before… ^^

And no, sorry. The person I quoted is someone who is saying all the time how hard it is to play. So either they are not as good as they think they are OR they are on a special Server where only very strong Players are playing. You can guess which is more likely. :^)

The reason that killers slug in the first place is 1)^ hooking ain't worth it, or 2) to counter hatch since they want the 4k they earned, because they've played well enough thus far to even be in that position.

1.) If hooking isn't worth it, bring some perks that make it worth it.

2.) Holding survivors hostage on the floor because you don't think you can beat a survivor to a hatch is hardly "earning" a 4k. I would argue it's trash methods like this artificially inflating the MMR of most killers to a place where they realistically shouldn't be.

Holding survivors hostage on the floor because you don't think you can beat a survivor to a hatch is hardly "earning" a 4k.

Important point - usually the Killer has all advantage to find the Hatch before the Survivor. They dont need to hide and they are faster. The Survivor basically can only find the Hatch at this point if they are lucky.

And I dont really understand why people think their win is worth less when they only lost a Kill because of pure Luck. At least for me, I could not care less if a Survivor gets a lucky Hatch Escape, does not change the fact that I won the game.

And from your own posts here you sound like a pretty trashy survivor player who I definitely wouldn't want in my Solo Queue games, so I wouldn't be getting off on judging other people's supposed skills and acting almighty about your biased opinions if I were you.

The thing is, unlike the person I quoted, I dont act as if I go against the best players in the game all the time. And I sadly have to assume that I am better than the person I quoted, both as Killer (even if I am apparently a trashy Survivor player) and as Survivor. :/

Sorry if I made you upset that I called out your friend.

Yes, but they pushed the 5 Second DS to Live without the animation. It did not get immediately nerfed from the PTB to Live. That took ~2 months to do.

A bit over 1 month (26th of April and 3rd of June where the Patches). I thought it was even less, but probably because they announced it earlier than 3rd of June.

But I still dont think that they ever planned to let DS have the same value it previously had. (But honestly, I am also done with this Perk. It is an Anti-Tunnel Perk which is really bad at Anti-Tunnel and I did not even use it with the 5 seconds and without the new animation, because for me it is just not worth equipping since it is neither fun to use nor strong enough to warrant a Perk Slot).

Thank you for not actually reading my post I appreciate it. I understand how endurance works I'm saying when survivors are stacking endurance and multiple survivors are taking hits for the survivor being chased multiple times per game that's rather problematic because there isn't a ton a lot of killers that can do anything about it.

I mean, I somewhat understand your point, but again, most Endurance can be deleted with just a single Hit. And if they stack Perks, it is even more Perks which are removed immediatly. And if someone tanks a Hit with Endurance - just tunnel? Usually Killer Players have no problem with tunneling, but now it is suddenly not an option?

And well - the only thing which really provides a lengthy amount of Endurance is OTR. And while OTR can be removed immediatly as well, if someone decides to bodyblock with OTR active, that person did not do anything for quite some time.

Pre 6.1.0 DS and the most recent 5 second DS were pretty much equal. They 100% did plan on making it 5 seconds since the animation was scrapped from the PTB, and it was left like that for a whole major patch. They just decided it was too strong after a little bit for whatever reason.

I think Decisive is in a good spot, the jump from 3 seconds to 4 seconds is far more significant than 4 to 5. I'm not sure if the nerf was 100% necessary but it's still amazing despite the fact.

DS is a mainstay in my builds and I get great value out of it. It wastes more time than OTR because they need to go through the whole pickup animation and stun. I wouldn't call it a joke against most killers at all, and the killers that can potentially shrug it off are going to do that regardless of if it's at 4 or 5 seconds.

I dont think they are equal. And I wont change my mind on this, sorry. 5 seconds back then were far more valuable for the Survivor than they are now. I mean, just look at a Map like Rancid Abattoir. You cannot tell me that 5 seconds pre 6.1.0 is the same like 5 seconds nowadays on that Map. Back then you could most likely reach something to defend yourself, nowadays this is not possible anymore. (Sure, you can get to a Pallet, but a) it is harder to reach a Pallet and b) the Pallet you reach is far weaker)

What I meant with "not planning to make it 5 seconds" - the 5 seconds on said PTB were with a new animation, which was also a second longer. Currently we have 4 seconds with 1,3 seconds spent in the animation. On PTB it was 5 seconds with around 2,3 seconds spent in the animation, so the distance the Survivor gains is the same.

That DS is better than OTR is something I would agree on, but OTR is probably the most overrated Perk in the game, so convincing me that a Perk is better than OTR is not really hard to do. But IMO DS is simply not worth picking anymore. It would have needed some Buffs anyway back then already - like removing scratchmarks, grunts of pain and Pools of Blood for a few seconds to make it harder for the Killer to tunnel through DS. Or disabling the Killers power for a few seconds, which would have less impact on weaker Killers and more impact on stronger Killers (a Trapper not being able to place a Trap for a few seconds is irrelevant, a Blight not being able to rush is huge).

And even back then most people only wanted DS to deactivate in Endgame, not a reduction of the Stun Time.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Two hatches should open after 60 seconds in that scenario. The killer is free to be greedy, but they risk letting 2 escape if they do.

This could be an option. At this point I take anything which avoids a Killer prolonging a game they already won.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3871575#Comment_3871575

5 seconds are the same thing, then and now. The only way survivors get less distance, compared to in the past, is their base sprint burst off hit is slightly less, and the killer's weapon wipe is slightly faster. That's it.

I don't know why I keep seeing this narrative that maps just have nothing in them for survivors to use. If that were the case, completely new killers would be beating experienced survivors all the time. That's not happening, so there's clearly decent loops. It may not be jungle gym into filler pallet into jungle gym like it used to be, but there's a lot of good stuff there. You don't have to play on Badham or Eyrie to do well as survivor.

And how is the perk a joke for most killers? You think the perk's not gonna destroy the momentum of anyone who isn't Nurse or Blight? If we exclude them, and the weakest killers, and just look at everyone in-between, those killers are still getting destroyed by 1 use of this perk. It's almost as if y'all are basing killers' performance against DS solely on matches where it was never used.

How is DS a weak "nothing" perk? This is so crazy.

I mean, your experience is a strange one, since you are just not good at the game. You keep posting that you are struggling so much with the game as Killer, so I dont really think that your opinion is really valid. At least not in a way you think it is, we are not talking about some high MMR-gameplay when we think about your posts. (Which is fine, but at least dont act as if you are one of the best players and only go against the best players)

IF DS would be as strong as you claim, the pickrate would be higher. I dont really want to take a deep look at it, but currently DS is the 10th most used Survivor-Perk, with around 10% usage. This is less than half of the 23% it had before 0.6.1… It is quite clear that the Perk is not as popular anymore, because it is significantly weaker. Why even bother using DS when it is a mild inconvenience for basically every Killer nowadays?

I did not dive deep into it, but I THINK that DS was the most used Survivor-Perk pre 0.6.1… But at the very least it was Top 3, far more used than it is nowadays.

  • It was obviously not needed to nerf the Perk to 4 seconds. It could have been at 5 seconds and would have been way worse than pre-0.6.1 anyway. 5 seconds nowadays are not the same as 5 seconds when Maps were much stronger for Survivors and Killers were weaker overall.

Especially if we consider that the Perk is a joke for most Killers. Back in the day it was only a Joke to the strongest Killers, nowadays a Killer should not care about DS and just tunnel through it.

(But to be fair, it was never planned to bring the Perk back to 5 seconds. It was 5 seconds for a short time, but with a much longer animation…)

    1. The Strength of SWF is NOT communication, it is to remove teammate RNG. You will not have to deal with a Claudette who self cares herself in the corner or a Meg who throws down all Pallets immediatly. THIS is the strength of SWF that you have consistently good players in your game. (Even tho, most SWFs are casual teams anyway, so they dont have a reason to play with each other aside from being friends)
    2. The idea of ingame comms was made multiple times and it will never happen. For reasons, just use the search function. It is really not the case that you made an incredible idea nobody has talked about before. It was discussed already, multiple times, and there are big reasons to speak against it.

I don't need to "think like that" because that's REALITY. You must either not be a killer main or be new to the game and if you are new to the game(less than 500 hours) I envy you for that because you haven't experienced what I have over the years.

It's NEVER been about "working as a team" for solo cue survivors, the fact they save each other is for their benefit alone because if you die on hook, the odds of them coming after you next are that much higher and they get big rewards for a safe hook rescue. I know from personal experience on this one, if a survivor has a chance, they will work with the killer faster than a coin flip if it means THEY get to escape and you're the only two left.

In SWFs its all about "How can we tilt the killer the most?" be it bringing perks like "head-on" boil over, ect, all the make the killer's game as unfun as possible and end it all with a 4man teabag at the exit gate. The difference between solo cues suddenly going sweatlord at end game for the 4 man teabag chance to rub it in the killer's face is SWFs make this a priority and coordinate on coms to ensure it happens.(voice chat is OP in this game) while doing everything they can to tilt the killer and laughing at your expense every chance they get to their teammates everytime they get a pallet stun or make you whiff.

My man, I have more hours on Killer than you overall in the game. And yes, I think your way of thinking is kinda sad. You should not think that the other side is only playing to make the game miserable for you. I dont deny that some people are and that is on both sids - there are Killers and Survivors queueing up just to make the game unfun for the respective other side.

But trying to get an 4 man escape does not really mean that they want to have that to rub it in. Especially not if there was no toxicity before that (which you did not mention, so I highly assume that they were not constantly teabagging or things like that).

Your missing the point, when surviors sweat that hard to get everyone out, its not about "working as a team" to them its about being able to brag they they 4man escaped, all four of them get to teabag at the exit gate, and brag the killer sucks because they couldn't sac one of them. It's not about points, its not about "Gotta save my teammate cuz its the cool thing to do!", it's litle more than to tilt the killer as much as possible.

Very sad to think like that.

  • I dont really get your point. It is not like you had a build which made you the Obsession, just the Killer having Rancor and you were unlucky to hit the 1 in 4 chance to be the Obsession. It was completely random.

Even tho, I have to say that Survivor-Challenges are usually "throw the game" while Killer Challenges are "play the game".

  • I mean, whats your point? The Survivors are trying to prevent you from hooking someone, they are working together. Nothing wrong here.

And while I do think that at some point Survivors have to accept that they cannot have 4 Escapes in a game (let alone each game), I think when the end result is a 1K, they at least tried and did not get more people killed with that. (Obviously it is a complete fail if they turn a 1K into anything more than a 1K)

(Same with Killers btw. who have to accept that they cannot 4K a game or every game and who lose Kills because they were too greedy in Endgame)

  • Whats your point? Or are we just sharing random screenshots now?

(I mean, obviously you think that you have some "Gotchya"-moment here, but I dont think that you understand that this is not really the point of this Thread)

  • I should not have to go down intentionally inside a Locker to counter a terrible designed Perk which should not have any place in this game.

It's not even good without other gen kicking perks like pop and eruption or unforeseen dude

It literally does nothing if the survivors dont hide near gens when the killer is coming and in 90% of situations thats the correct play

It's sounds like a you problem if you cant play around nowhere to hide

I mean, do you sometimes even read what you are writing?

The Perk is used a lot because it is a good Perk. Saying it is not good in any context (even without any other Perk which resolves around kicking Gens) is just so wrong.

And obviously Survivors are hiding near Gens. Because this is where Survivors have to be and if the Killer approaches, they cannot really go away without being seen.

  • Those are emotional ragequits. And like many emotional things, those do not have to be logical. Might just be a person who is done for the day playing DBD and Alt + F4s, not caring about any BPs or any DC-Penalty since they wont play anyway. (Or shutting of the console)

But I have to agree, I also think it is kinda silly. Especially if Survivors DC on their last hook or Killers DC when all Gens are done. Because then the game only lasts a very short time. I have even seen a Killer who ragequit during an Anniversary Event with 5 Cakes being used, even if they did not have the best game, they would have easily made 100k+ BPs and they really only needed to wait a few seconds since all 4 Survivors were just running out of the Exit Gate (and they really ragequit, since they were typing in Chat afterwards).

I'd argue it's similar to sticking up your middle finger, as in essence the same meaning is attached to both gestures, despite the gestures in and of themselves having no meaning. I personally don't really think your argument holds up here but I'm curious to hear your thoughts.

I mean, if someone decides to flip the bird in RL I would still see this as different then a random person on the internet I have seen in a game for 10 minutes and will most likely not even see again (or dont remember again) spamming the crouch-Button.

It is your decision to take it personal.

I'd say the issue isn't not being able to do anything about it, or even the concept of staying the game in and of itself, but rather Killer players having to either sit there and waste their time, or be forced to partake in a humiliation ritual. Not great.

"Humiliation Ritual"… It is just some people pressing a Button. Nothing more. If you get mad about this, this is on you. And personally as Killer I would rather let them teabag me at the Exit than having to wait for 2 minutes.

You most likely have and have not realized it, subtle cheaters are NOT stupid, they make sure their cheats are subtle enough to make even the most perceptive of players not suspect foul play at work. You have to pay VERY CLOSE attention. Is that survivor running just a little too fast without any perks to let them do so? DON'T ASSUME they are just corning that loop really well, PAY ATTENTION! In a general chase assuming your pathing is on par, you can get at least one hit on a survivor average in about 10 seconds or less unless they are in a jungle gym. Are they somehow keeping distance from you even in bloodlust 1?

Did they somehow vanish without a trace when you're 110% sure you there was no way they could evade you in a loop or jungle gym? NEVER ASSUME "Oh, I must have just lost them."

You do this and you'll begin to notice cheaters ALOT more often. Only reason I notice half the time is because I'm constantly looking for suspicious behavior from survivors because I trust them not to abuse mechanics or not to cheat as far as I can throw them on a killer whose NOT Wesker.:P

I have 10k hours in DBD, I know what to look out for. And I am not saying that I never encounter cheaters, I have seen some very subtle and not so subtle Cheaters.

Not so subtle —> When spectating an Ace they were mirrowing the movements of the Killer perfectly while also being way too fast (it was a Deathslinger, but he still reached Bloodlust 3 and did not really catch up at Shack). And when the second to last Survivor bled out the Cheater was heading straight to the Hatch.

Subtle —> Encountered a Survivor who was always JUST making the Pallet around a Loop. In Postgame I also have seen that they have Hyperfocus (and only Hyperfocus) which can be an indicator as well.

But outside of those two, I have not encountered Cheaters in months. And this is why I think that recordings are important, if you think something is not going the right way, record and have others look at it as well. I know this from other games which have an automated Replay-function that it clears up a lot.

  • "And lastly, NO I did not record this because if I had to record every single match I played on a daily basis my HD would be filled to the brim within a week and I have far more important things to use my HD space for."

You dont have to record every match, but you can start recording when something suspicious is happening. This would be the only way to a) report it and b) show it to others so that they can either say "Yep, thats cheating" or "This is not cheating, this happened". Without it, I would always assume it is not cheating, because it is far more likely that something happened which you did not realize or understand than you running into an actual cheater.

Not denying that Cheaters are in this game, Cheaters are in every game. But from my experience, it is really unlikely to run into one.

Wasted time is wasted time. IF it's fine for survivors to wait in exit game to bm the killer, then there isn't an issue with killers slugging and bming. As the game will end on it's own either way.

Nobody said it is fine. Nobody here is defending it. All what was said is that the Killer has the solution to force the Survivors out. You are the only one who is pretending that someone said what you are saying.

BUT - if we look at threads about Killers slugging until bleedout, we suddenly see players with "But what about Survivors waiting at the Exit Gate?"… Strange.

This is absolutely a suggestion I can bring back to the team for you!

    Please :)

I think having it ingame or directly sent to the BHVR-Account would be better. Overall, I rarely get Newsletter. And I was also not able to change my Email just now. (It is strange, the Email in my BHVR-Account is different from the one where I received the last Newsletter. So I will see on the 13th or whenever you want to send it when it arrives)

But I just think that something like stats is such a cool thing that it should not be tied to a Newsletter, but, if possible, to the ingame-Inbox.

  • Why is it not possible to display this ingame? This would be somewhat interesting and yet it will not reach a bunch of people because for some people Newsletters dont reach them.

Imo its fine that you need to force the survivor out. It can be annoying, but other options could hinder the normal gameplay.

@joeyspeehole youre wrong. Slugging and waiting to leave is pretty similar. If you wait for some minutes, its over and both are annoying. Yh you can end it easier as killer, but if survivor want they can just wait hidden next to the exit.

No, you cannot really compare those.

First of all, waiting for a Survivor to leave takes half the time it takes for a Survivor to bleed out. Then the Killer can still gain BPs when they wait by kicking dropped Pallets, Breakable Walls or using their power. A Survivor cannot gain any BPs after recovering as much as possible. And then the Killer has an option to make the Survivors leave - by going to the Exit Gate. The Survivor has no option to speed up their bleed out.

Not saying that it is not annoying that Survivors do that. I dont do it myself and I also dont like it that others are doing it. But there are actual options what I can do as Killer when Survivors are waiting at the Exit Gate.

What happened to the idea of making Unbreakable basekit? Now seems like the best time to revisit that.

Regardless of any changes which can happen to slugging, Knockout simply has no place in the game anymore. It is a really unhealthy Perk and also not even strong. It is only used for Griefing nowadays.

  • Sadly Peanits at some point said it was intended. But then again, in the Q&A linked they acknowledged it.

The thing is, this is in the game for years. I doubt it will ever be fixed, even if it is one of the most frustrating things in the game.

  • I dont understand the point? This is the regular starting screen of DBD.

After seeing it myself and other ccs catching it seems when a queue time takes to long they add anon mode surv and when you load in it automatically shows a bot survivor.

This could be a wild assumption and it's just the DC load bot implemention or a stealth addition to alleviate queue times or just a PTB only feature since we know they take hour longs to fill

I was not on the current PTB, but usually PTBs dont take long to fill. Killer queues are usually long, but there is no problem to find Survivors on the PTB.

  • How do you know that they added Bots?

  • Changes are good, but not what I hoped for. I hoped for something which is more like his original design.

I guess, Junji Ito might be banned in these countries (Animes are often censored or banned completely in other countries) and therefore players cannot buy these skins because there is no permission to release them in these countries.

However, this is no excuse for the developers to not tell the players that they don't have access to the skins due to license or permission issues.

This is most likely the case, even tho I am not sure if it is related to Anime. I would rather guess that Body Horror is banned in some countries and the work of Junji Ito falls under this.

And the reason why we did not get more gory Moris for some time was because it might lead to restricting the game in some countries. Therefore, my assumption would be that the Devs had the opportunity to bring Junji Ito to DBD with the cost of not being able to promote and sell the Collection in some countries.

But I do agree that this should have been announced, ideally from the time they announced the collection, because I am very sure they were aware about that at this point. (If my assumption is correct)

So far there are like 7 countries that seem to be region locked. @Mandy is this something anyone is able to comment on at this time? Noticed people just keep getting ignored when they ask on Twitter.

    Which countries?

Survivors are asking for a mechanic to die faster. I hope BHVR see's this and tries to move the needle in ANY other direction. People are so ridiculous.

Yep, any direction is fine. Could be some form of basic Unbreakable, could be a form to speed up Bleedout, anything at this point. The less time I spend on the ground being humped without anything I can do against that, the better.

I think his changes are a "fix", if I may put it that way. It is the path they've chosen to try and make Freddy's post-rework power work, without making it as overpowered as it was when the rework first released.

And I really don't like it. All of this effort towards a power that was never healthy or good for the game. Freddy needed buffs, yes, but the gameplay loop with him (trap and the occasional teleport) did not change, when I strongly believe it should have.

I'll test everything in the PTB tomorrow, but if this is truly the direction we're going with Freddy… then I'll drop him.

Have to agree here. I think that the changes are clearly a Buff and a needed Buff as well. But I dont think that those changes will make me play Freddy. I think he is really boring to play and this does not seem to change, and I honestly dont care if he jumps up a few Tiers or not.

But it is positive that others might find more fun in playing him, just not for me I guess.

I'm not sure why you expected any different.

No rework has fully changed a killers power besides SM because she's a mess.

Freddys power got changed a few years ago and it was one of the biggest Reworks the game had. And he was also strong, but became pretty boring and easy to play and, the worst of it, he lost all what made him unique.

And up until this day I am pretty sure that the Devs would have been able to save his initial power with pulling people into the Dreamworld by removing things like the Slowdown and the ability to wake up with Skill Checks and adding other things which were added to current Freddy, e.g. the Teleport to Gens or Clocks. Plus a few Buffs here and there and he would have probably been able to keep his power AND be better.

(On the other hand, Doctor also got reworked quite some time ago and this was a good Rework. They kept him roughly the same, but made him stronger and more accessible… Something like that should have happened to Freddy as well).

Black Box getting nerfed definitely was not on my bingo card.

    I did not get nerfed.

  • Even if the Healer needs to be asleep, I am not a fan of it. This means that I have to be unhooked by a Survivor who is awake in order for them to be able to safely heal me. So it is out of my control, once again, if the person unhooking me is actually smart or not and this results in me being tunneled or not.
