I literally saw this in action 2 weeks ago. Someone switched to a key with 10 seconds left in the lobby, giving me barely enough time to equip Franklins. Then 10 seconds into the match I saw her open a chest on a hill and deposit her key for safekeeping.
Needless to say I tunnelled her into the ground, because that was a scummy move she tried to pull.
Keys are very unhealthy for the game. They don't let you "earn" an escape. They allow you to escape without completing your objectives, which is sort of the opposite of earning it.

and if they just put the key somewhere.

Splitting up to do gens is the most effective way to get gens done. Explain why that is bad.
Leaving team mates to die on hook is just bad team playing. And its one less survivor for the killer to worry about. So I don't understand your point here.
Tunneling someone is the best way to get a person out the game. Explain why this is bad

Nah, I have every right to complain. I want to stick to casual skilled survivors and killers. At least then, I can pretend I was in a fair match, win or lose.
The massive skill gap your idea will eventually create for me will eventually make the game basically unplayable.
Well if that’s the case then I have one thing to say, Git Gud

Of course there is such a thing as tunneling. That's one of several ways killers can do their objective. They can camp, they can tunnel, they can mori, and they can three hook everyone separately rather than focusing on one survivor via camp/tunnel.
Whereas survivors have only one way to do gens and that is to actually to reapir them. You think you're being a smart aleck comparing tunneling to doing gens but its not the same thing. Can you think of an alternative method to do gens other than actually doing them? Its why the gen rush label is nonsense.
When survivors gen rush they they split up and stick on gens no matter what. Some going as far as to let their teammates die to do it
-
@Dwight_Fairfield said:
There is no such thing as "gen rushing". That's simply survivors doing their objective.
There’s no such thing as tunneling that’s just killers doing their objective

I know how to go for safe hooks yes I'm one of the rare breeds, and when the killer is camping and tunneling do gens. I also break totems too so I don't have to deal with NOED.
See I wish you were more common because normal console survivor for solo are what have me playing killer 99% of the time

um no, it is not the killers fault when perk and voice comms are abused to give an advantage to a group of 3 or 4 that the game was never designed around. You clearly only understand one side, and that's survivor. I won't respond further to you since I don't expect you will attempt to think about it from a trolled killer side's perspective, and boy will the trolling from TWF groups pick up by the weekend. Thank god for Cyberpunk
I literally main killer and if you somehow can’t hook a swf member at least once them maybe you shouldn’t play killer or try a different one.

I dont know. Using moris as a bandaid fix for tunneling is not the best idea.
There should be a real solution to tunneling.
I wasn’t looking for a solution for normal tunneling just tunneling off hook for mori. Normal tunneling is perfectly fine it’s a strat just like gen rushing. Toxic? Yes, but a strat still

The issue with that is that if it's a super sweaty team on comms good luck hooking everybody once each before most of the gens are done if they're hellbent on not letting that happen.
Then at that point it’s the killers fault. It’s fair conditions for both sides. If this were the change it’d be a lot more fair for both sides

I mostly main survivor, so my fellow survivor mains, hear me out. I used to think the opposite but my opinion has changed.
Tunneling/Camping isn't as bad as people think.
Is it a strategy? Yes, although a sucky one, it gets the job done. Killers have to kill the survivor. It's the same with rushing gens. Crappy strategy, but it helps you to survive, and you may or may not get punished by NOED for not working Totems.
Camping, yes it's annoying, but it allows your teammates to get gens done. You may pip/rank down, but ranks are a complete joke right now, and don't determine your actual skill. Not only that some (not all, I am not grouping all killers together) killers use this as a way to rank up, or to punish a toxic survivor. So if you get tunneled or camped ask yourself if you were toxic.
If you were, you deserve it, if you weren't, just tell yourself "ignore it and move on to the next game". If you are in solo queue and your teammate wants to play hero and rescue you without BT, that's on them, not you. If you're doing SWF and they still rescue you without BT, that's on both of you because you didn't say, "Don't rescue me, pressure a gen, we got time." That's what communication is for. If you can run a killer, different story, but if not, then my point stands.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
TL;DR - Camping and Tunneling does suck, but just ignore it and move on to the next game. It's the killer's job to kill, and the survivor's job to survive.

I play on console too buddy
Ah so your one of them. Or are you the rare breed on here that actually knows how to not rush hook as soon as one person gets hooked
-
@I_am_Negan said:
Then that means they lost the match. Tunnel one person to kill them while you let the other 3 slam out gens
Ah yes well you see I come from a far away land called console where survivors flock to unhook and cant loop for #########/absolutely waste their ds and get downed shortly fater
-
Just eat it....

@Tizzle said:
This doesn't address the issue of why Mori's are complained about.
So now the Killer needs to tunnel the Survivor twice off the hook instead of once to kill, ok?
Still promoting the exact same behavior.
At least now you don't have to jump in a locker to not get tunneled out of the game with a Mori after your first hook I guess.
This exactl. This is why they should take recommendations. Like how people have been saying make it so everyone has to be hooked once
-
@Asssblasster625 said:

People who wanna use it are just gonna tunnel off hook to get the required amount of hooks
The other change that people were recommending ( have everyone hooked once ) was a much better solution because it required and encouraged you to apply pressure on all survivors instead of just tunneling immediately
-
@Freddy96 said:
How does an offering rework equal more tunneling? You mean the same players that would grief by tunnel into mori will now have to hook twice?
That's such a shame

Still a guaranteed win just a lot more tunnels now lol idky every survivor is hyped since it just means more tunnels

lol people are just gonna tunnel harder now.

I mostly play killer. But I don’t have fun until the end of the March or when I’m playing a meme build. I feel anxious, it feels like a massive drop on a roller-coaster without the adrenaline rush after. Just a horrible feeling in my stomach until the games over. So meh
-
i almost never go for unhooks cause I can’t loop for ######### and don’t want them to get downed as soon as I do it either. So I leave it to other teammates to do it while I rush gens

Alright then thank you for clearing that up I thought you were gonna complain about killers going boring and the defend lame survivor setups.

Exactly the reason why I look down upon Deathslingers with M&A, Spirits with Stridor, Oni's with Infectious Fright, Legions with Thana, Leatherface's with Insideous, Demogorgon's with STBFL, and probably more im forgetting off the top of my head.
Its soooooooooooooooo boring, might as well play against a freaking bot.
