Let's hope so. If DBD ever collaborates with Fortnite, Solo Survivors should get Take the L and an expanded emote wheel.

Ask the devs to remove MMR if you don't want this game to be at least somewhat competitive. Until MMR is in the game, killers will have to sweat to get any reasonable chance to win the game.
They have to sweat to 4k, they don't have to sweat to have fun.

That's just wrong. They do play a small part, but it's very insignificant most of the time.
Camping and tunnelling are stronger (arguably) because DS has been nerfed even though it's still a decent perk, but no one runs it.
Camping and tunnelling should not be fixed "completely". Both of these things should be part of the game as the whole game is balanced around it - so many perks, band-aids, etc. are due to this feature being available to the game. It should be a gameplay option for a killer which presents a high-risk, high-reward scenario. At the moment, I think camping and tunnelling is in a good spot all things considered (except face camp bubba)
If you remove camping and tunnelling from the game completely (or make it so it's always a negative to a killer), the killer side of the game would die in 3 weeks lol.
Just change the expectations of Killer mains. They don't have to 4k every match. Sweats always push out Casuals in PvP games. Camping and tunneling is sweating. There's a SWF equivalent, as well.

?
They buffed the base kit BT to a very strong level.
Survivors have adapted and re-learned the meta.
Bad survivors quit, and good survivors stayed.
Thanatophobia is dead.
They added reassurance + hyperfocus.
I do believe the main increase in kill rates increasing is indirect buffs to tunnelling and camping, which both have been decently nerfed since your "61 % win rate". Additionally, lots of survivors have learned how to play again.
I don't see any buffs to killer besides Wesker mini buff since 6.10.
And it's not 1 month only, they're at least 2 months old.
The only real way to fix camping and tunneling is reversing the weapon wipe cooldown buff Killers received, the nerf to distance after injury that Survivors received, and the 2 stacks STBFL basekit that Killers received after 6.1 That's why camping and tunneling is buffed and basekit Borrowed Time or Reassurance will do nothing significant about it.

What is your proof that I am trolling? As far as I can see, you're the one who is trolling here the most + throwing false accusations. If you don't like my name, maybe don't participate in the discussion. Must be hard, but I know it's doable ;)
The DBD playerbase mades youtube videos of Almo making fun of him. Whenever his name is brought up, it's more often than not to ridicule him. You know Almo's name so you know how the playerbase reacts to him. That's the proof you're trolling.

I won't address 61 % because it's irrelevant. If you can counter-address my points why it's relevant - then go ahead. The very likely fact is, it's definitely not 61 % anymore, therefore, there is no point discussing it.
Also, Nurse is 40 %, I think she needs buffs.
The numbers are only a month old, that's very relevant.

Only Nurse, and maybe Blight.
How many stacks of basekit STBFL do Killers need? How much more would you nerf Survivor distance after an injury? How much more would you expand Huntress' mini-fridges?
I was going to address your points until I read the last point. You're really biased to a survivor side - just don't hide it, because it looks very ridiculous ;)
You propose Universal Killer Buffs. The Kill Rate is 61%. Old Gen is harder to play than New Gen and PC. The Kill Rate is lower for Old Gen. How much higher does the Kill Rate have to be for New Gen and PC to satisfy you? Answer the question.

Outdated + biased stats. Irrelevant.
Outdated - been already many buffs for the survivor since that data was gathered.
Biased - lots of survivors were killing themselves on hook/DCing/refusing to adapt during the first weeks of the new patch.
61 % is a delusional statistic, especially now.

Coup is probably at least a three-star perk. There's always going to be four better perks to run no matter what kind of build you're going for, but it's a pretty good perk and fun.

They should be able to see each other’s perks, but as the match is loading so no one can dodge. And I can think of at least five other survivor perks I would rather dodge than Distortion.
Also, aren’t most survivors who play solo generally more selfish than a SWF? Distortion or not. This game was designed for survivors to opt when to help teammates or not. Rewatch the trailers.
I play Fortnite, too. Occasionally, random squads. You'll often have a teammate that leaves the match upon being downed rather than waiting to see if the rest of the squad can win the fight and heal said teammate. No one likes that teammate in the same way that no one likes selfish teammates in DBD solo queue. If BHVR thinks Survivor should be played selfishly, they're wrong.

Only Solo Queue has such fatalistic perks, then. No Way Out isn't run because endgame is predetermined, it's because it's guaranteed slowdown.
My Solo Queue build overcompensates for team coordination, but that's a balance issue. Some are prioritizing coordination, others prioritize coordination. While Killer is at a decent spot and SWF is what it is.
I said Coordination twice. Survival and Coordination are the two classes of perks that only Solo Queue has to run.

Yeah no. Am I selfish in that I don't try to make sure that I get my equal time in chase and number of hooks as everyone else? Sure, I'm terrible in chase as survivor and I'm not going to be buying anyone much time, so I'm best serving the team by staying out of sight and slamming gens. I run Kindred so I can see if I need to go for save, which I'm happy to do unless they are being camped. I'll heal and bodyblock as I can. I run distortion to help keep me alive so I can do these things. Once gates are open, I have no problem sacrificing myself to get someone else out of the gate, but I guess I'm still the selfish one that needs a perk nerfed to force me into more (very short) chases that just leads to my teammates wasting time trying to rescue me.
There are classes of perks for Solo that SWF don't have to run. Coordination and Survival are the classes, I think. The fact that Solos have to run these perks are a reason why they lag behind.

Like, I'll be doing gen number 1, and they're somehow all slugged before the first gen is done. So I run Sole Survivor/Wake Up/Left Behind to try and salvage the routine matchmaking disasters and unplayable matches.

Experience + watching better players and implementing their knowledge. Somewhat strong perks and addons depending on the team and that's it. I really don't think I do anything impressive.
Pro Vengeance is a Killer main on youtube and he goes on 50-game win streaks on Killers like Clown and Doctor, currently. Prior to SBMM, he won something like 1096 out of 1103 matches. He's hardly the most mechanically skilled Killer, either; he just has gamesense and plays to win. You have those two things, you're going to win 70-90% of your matches. Against solo queue, you'll win upwards of 95% of your matches.

As someone who always runs kindred and windows, i understand that all too well. And considering CoH is an extremely team oriented perk, you're kinda using that as an excuse. You still have room for 1 exhaustion perk and 1 flex spot, while any boon of your choice can work there to fulfill the same end of also covering for the play/penti combo (or even just pentimento at all)
I've been running Open-Handed in most builds because it seems like the bubble on a survivor being hooked seems to be here to stay. Kindred is always in my builds, so I don't think of it having to be basekit. But, the bubble blocking the Killer's aura upon hook should be removed when running Kindred.

Unless survivors are willing to give up all perks and addons that speed gens up, y’all really need to stop complaining about perks that slow gens down. From start to finish, the first few gens do not take 90 seconds. As a killer who does not run any slowdown perks, I would totally be in favor of removing all slow down/regression/speed up perks for both sides (I am okay with perks that block gens ie repressed alliance, dms). Are you in favor of removing these for both sides or do you just want to nerf killer perks because you want games to be even easier?
I would like getting rid of all slowdown perks for Killer and all gen efficiency perks for Survivor. I don't slowdown on Killer and gen perks on Survivor (Solo, though).

Since you ignored the hint and decided to find a new thing to complain about instead, boons completely nullify the combo because they let you turn any hex totem into a dull instead of breaking it. Its yet another feather in CoH's cap, basically.
I run team-oriented perks in Solo Queue. Kindred, Open-Handed, Bond, etc. There are only so many perk slots. I like a perk to help with chase, too, which is what Plaything helps with.

From the perspective of Solo Survivor, it is quality of life. I know that SWF is strong, but Killer is as well and Solo Survivor is weak.
-
@Ryuhi said:
Plaything is pretty much the only way to ever get to even use pentimento, especially since hexes can be booned and snuffing it just reverts to a dull. Pentimento also tells at least one person exactly where it is, due to it requiring at least one cleansed totem to be able to apply it. The entire point of the perk is for it to provide a strong amount of slowdown for a very limited duration due to its drawbacks.
Its kinda not great, but its also better than a corrupt that removes itself the moment someone is downed, a ruin that deletes itself if nobody cleansed it by the time you get a kill, and so on. I hope you're not bothered by deadlock, because that one is becoming pretty meta lately as well for the same reason.
The devs should buff Huntress Lullaby. There's no reason why Plaything should have multiple uses while Lullaby has one without Undying. It's a superior perk to Plaything as far as design goes. It requires effort on the part of Survivor whereas Plaything requires very little on the part of Killer.

Tue reason so many Killers Run Slowdown Perk is becasue the Gen Speed is still Way to fast and needs to fixed sometimes u start a Game and 3 Gens are done on the First down

There's no way you seriously think Myers and Ghostface have more limitations on their instant down than Wesker.
Wesker has way more aspects to his power than Myers and Ghostface. Wesker doesn't need a one-shot down and it's obvious that recent killer designs are just a hodge-podge of former killer designs thrown together. Wesker is the best example of it right now.

...Built in Compound 33?? He needs an ADDON to even use the pallet break and otherwise he's forced to vault every pallet which most Survivors in most loops can outplay. In some cases, you can even literally get behind a Wesker mid pallet vaults and vault the pallet behind him.
Also, Deathslinger Iri Coin. Starstruck Agi Nurse. Leatherface, Myers, Billy. All Killers that can instadown, what's the problem?
Nurse shouldn't be able to one-shot down a survivor. Deathslinger and Billy takes skill. Leatherface takes tile knowledge. Myers and Ghostface have enough limitations to allow for one-shot abilities. Wesker should not be helping himself to the most powerful parts of these killer's designs. Just for comparison, why doesn't Nemesis have that one-shot ability? He's bigger and more of a corrupted mutant than Wesker? How did Wesker become more powerful than some horrible abomination like Nemesis? I don't play Resident Evil, so I don't know the lore but I doubt Wesker is designed to be stronger than Nemesis.
-
@Hoodied said:
Lemme just say this now, nerfing Myers immediately screams that you’ve never touched Myers ever, but Wesker can’t oneshot without it following very specific conditions and most of the time when you do one shot someone, they are injured as a survivor has to be at max infection and be slammed into a wall, so you need a survivor to refuse to use a spray can in order to do that
He should never have the ability to one-shot down a survivor. He's already got enough going for him.

Wesker's bounds is skill-shot and its surely much harder to use then pretty much all the 1 shot's in the game. Maybe clown's pinky finger comes out to be a harder though i'd say clown is still easier.
It had higher skill-cap before increase in hitboxes changes but the overall dash was too slow. people were having desync issues where he would teleport through the survivor instead of hitting them. as a result, they increased survivor hitbox.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3205605#Comment_3205605
pin-point aim? Like deathslinger with iri coin? I mean its still more situational than that iri head. I think those got changed because too many people kept d/c vs huntress with the add-on's. it would really help if your teammate stop d/c when killer uses strong stuff and tries to play the game even when at harsh disadvantage. You should go in my detail to explain why you think wesker's ability to pierce two health-states when you are fully infected is BS. I'd like to point that Wesker is first killer in 11 chapters that acquired a base-kit instant down. the last one was Oni and that was roughly 2 years ago.
Wesker shouldn't have a one-shot ability because he has built-in slowdown, built-in information (Killer Instinct), anti-loop, the ability to hinder/slow survivor movement, and map mobility. He has enough going for him, already. In DBD, one-shot ability should either require significant game sense or significant mechanical skill. He requires neither.

Gosh, dude, you are on a one track mind crusade to get Wesker nerfed. Why do you hate him so much? Your FPS analogy falls flat on several levels and just because you think that one-shot killers don't deserve any kind of aura reading doesn't mean that your opinion is valid even one bit.
Also, you seem to confuse a lot of terms and mix then up: aura reading is literally seeing the red outlines of characters through walls and objects. Wesker doesn't have that, he gets Killer instinct when we survivor uses a spray. Killer instinct is most often quite short lived and just gives the killer a kind of pointer (" maybe look at that loop over there", "have you checked shack?"), it's useful to maybe get a chase going, but it doesn't give a lot of info like were get are looking, what they are doing, maybe it they entered a locker etc. Killer Instinct is vastly inferior to aura reading.
And where do you get that Weskers power is easy to use? It's not super hard, but you have to be very patient and somewhat on point against anyone but the most lenient and helpful suevivors. So maybe take a step back, end your crusade and get a few games as Wesker under your belt. :)
Every killer gets aura-reading at basekit. Killers know where gens are because of aura-reading. It gives you confidence; that's huge in a PvP game. If you want to combine a one-shot ability with that, it better be skillful, or related to lore, or the killer has to be seriously limited. Billy is skillful, Leatherface has to be play tiles (he has to know the game). Myers and Ghostface are limited and their powers are related to lore. Wesker isn't something else.
From my experience, most people coming from another PvP game would call aspects of Wesker's power "BS".

Not even. If I'm playing a fighting game and the character has a shotgun for a special move that aims at the head does that mean that shotgun should one shot? No because that would be stupid and make no sense in the context of the game. There is also multiple action shooters where you can unload multiple shotgun rounds to a players face and not kill them. What works in one style of game doesn't work in all of them.
More or less, DBD is balanced around the killer getting two hits for a down. As far as Wesker goes, he has a shotgun where he doesn't need to aim for the head. He shouldn't have a one-shot ability, period. His built-in Compound 33 is enough.

Thus shows how little you know about DBD because its not a FPS it's a hockey simulator.
But seriously trying to compare dbd to a fps they are completely different games and one has nothing to do with the balance of the other or the way it should work. One is either everyone vs everyone or even teams dbd is a 4v1.
They're similar in the situations where the player says to themselves, "That's BS". When I got downed while healthy against Wesker on Midwich, that's what came to mind. Situations like that accumulate in multiplayer games. I haven't been playing DBD much lately. I played today. Wesker's power doesn't draw me back in.

LOL
If having a one shot ability is all that is needed to make a killer like myers than every killer can be like myers with perks like haunted grounds, devour hope, and starstruck.
You run those perks to become more like Myers, yes. There's a reason why Hillbilly is high-skill with a one-shot ability. Wesker has one but not the other and, for the most part, the game is balanced around two hits to down a survivor. Just like a body shot with a shotgun doesn't down an opponent in a shooter game.
-
@Crowman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3205631#Comment_3205631
He is nothing like Myers.
Myers has to stalk and build up his own meter to make the entire team exposed.
Wesker has to bound grab a survivor to initially infect them, has to either catch and throw the survivor 4-5 times just to fully infect that single survivor or chase them without doing any damage for almost 2 minutes just to get a single instant down with his power as it doesn't inflict expose status by default.
Also you keep bringing up a single map as somehow a killer should be nerfed, because they have a good map. It would be like nerfing Trapper, because there's a map where he can most easily hide his traps.
He has a one-shot ability, that makes him like Myers, to an extent. He's a bit like Legion and Nurse, too. He also has mobility, anti-loop, built-in slowdown, built-in information, etc. He's a little bit of this killer, a little bit of that killer.

You have a profile picture of Deathslinger. You have to aim with him. Other killers have beachball hitboxes: Victor, Demo, Huntress, Wesker, etc.

@Crowman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3205605#Comment_3205605
All killers can see the aura of gens. This is just how the game is. Wesker isn't special in this regards.
You keep complaining about his one-shot, but compared to actual one shot killers like Billy, Bubba, Ghostface, and Myers his instant down is insanely weak and that's because the main point of his power isn't to instant down.
You want things in DbD to have pinpoint aim, but this isn't a PvP shooter. Having pinpoint accuracy isn't important. The killer is a single player and hitboxes do favor the killers, because otherwise playing many killers would feel awful where you see your power literally go through survivors.
Just play Wesker. You'll realize how dumb your complaints are if you actually did.
The real problem, I think, is that newer killers are getting a bit of this power from here and a bit that power from there. People say that Wesker is "the fair Nurse", right? But, he's also a little bit bit of Myers, also. It creates gameplay scenarios where the BS becomes very apparent. Wesker on Midwich is an example.
-

Weskers power has amole time while he readys up, he makes a sound when he is about to use it, it only goes foqard, and you can use objects to block it, if it werent as easy to dodge, yes it could be a problem, but its painfully easy to counter.
That doesn't work at endgame on Midwich.

DBD isn't a PvP shooter.
The one shot ability hardly matters in 99% of games.
Wesker isn't an easy killer to play as is.
All the issues you are listing come across as someone who hasn't even touched Wesker and is having a hard time playing against him due to a skill issue.
If you're going to give Killer information (aura-reading), you have to limit the power (one-shot abilities). There's a problem with hitboxes in this game. Huntress does not have to get a headshot, she throws a beachball. That's why Iri Head plus Infantry Belt was incredibly broken. If you want one-shot downs, it's got to be pin-point accurate aim.
-
@squbax said:
Skill issue
That's what got us here, yes. The equivalent of a body shot with a shotgun in an FPS should not down a survivor. That's Wesker's power.

You want to take away the ability to see gens just because Wesker has an extremely limited ability to instant down a survivor?
If this ain't a bait post then it's a literal skill issue.
It's a skill issue that allowed Wesker to have both a forgiving ranged attack and a one-shot ability. Either make him difficult to use or get rid of his one-shot ability. As it is right now, it's a body shot with a shotgun to injure/down the survivor with the tentacle, compared with PvP shooter games.

Wesker has no base-kit aura reading.
Killers have basekit aura-reading. They can see the auras of gens. The killer needs either game sense or mechanical skill to justify one-shot downs. Wesker needs neither. Myers and Ghostface have no mobility and there's a lore aspect to their power. Billy needs mechanical skill and Leatherface needs to play tiles. Wesker is like none of these examples.

It's not aura reading, it's killer instinct.
And so what if he knows where you are when you spray? You are no longer instant downable.
I'm talking about all aura-reading, not just killer instinct. Killer needs either high gamesense or high mechanical skill to justify one-shot downs. If the power is easy-to-use and one-shot, no aura-reading. If it's mechanically difficult, the aura-reading and killer instinct can stay.

Too easy to use to justify a one-shot.
