Definitely not.
Wraith is actually pretty good.
He is mediocre killer, pure m1 with solid stealth and good map mobility which makes him very adaptive for every map and not dependent like some other killers such as trapper. He is easy to play asand in my oppinion easy to play against with his power which is easy to uderstand for both killer and survivor but that doesnt change the fact he is very bullyable with survivors vaulting dropped paletts and windows ove and over and all of that depends on who has better ping (if survivor has 20 ms and wraith has 40 ms then its almost impossible for the wraith do any breaking or vaulting action when he is cloaked if survivor isnt bodyblocked from side which is hard to do and not reiable or survivor makes some delay in spaming space thats just fact which every wraith main knows), he is m1 and these killers can be bullyed by survivors with items and perks quite easily.

It would be great if they just tried elusive effect and nothing else for next patch, PTB anti tunnel had too much stuff I guess, probably overly complex for average player
but the most interesting part of ptb was elusive effect and the unhook notification being hidden, the game really needs this badly it's in a terrible state right now, again tried to play today it's just not worth it
The hidden notification was like 10 seconds which is a lot so like 5 is ok but 10 thats too much, another bs was killer aura reveal I thought it would be like breakout or babysitter so you will se killers aura for like 4-8 seconds but it was more like old object of obsession which is not good thing.

well the devs should give us killers a reason to not tunnel there’s no incentive to not tunneling it’s the fastest and most efficient way of winning
Thats hard truth, they tried in current ptb but antunbel punishments were just busted and punished every weaker killer for no reason, if they kept the super buffed antitunnel killer just cant tunnel you easily because he wont be able to even find the unhooked survivor and reward for not tunneling wasnt that bad but the tunneling punishments with the fact the haste and endurence effects are 30 seconds after all gens are done and gates are powered is just overkill.
-
Another fact is wraith with trapper are probably most bullyable killers from begging till now.

Fog vials nerf is small thing compare to skullmerchant case.
-
Just data based, biggets outrage that ended with one of hardest nerf for no reason in DBD history is skullmerchant nerf that was just because survivor main complained.
-
Its just ping issue all that depends who is spaming space bar faster and has better ping. Tbh wraith should have priority in my opinion he is just mediocre killer who is m1 and its easy to loop.

It appears my explanation was too complex for you. The two people who can't do anything because they are one tap? Just leave them alone in the school and focus on the two people who can actually do gens. Also yeah if they have sprint burst you can always just do the thing where you approach the gen from the direction of the school… which is like every gen. You would have to try really hard for sprint burst to be an issue in this scenario.
Yeah they get up alone in 25 seconds which is fast especialy if they are two with no mither (it takes like 15 seconds for m1 to get to some gen like in shack from there), then you actualy approve tunneling two people out, the aproach part isnt bad from center of the map to the edge but problem is badham has one shack and two strong hauses of pains on edges with some decent paletts so survivor are quite safe there and can hide or prerun half of the map which has these loops and that can be destructive for the killer in time its huge macro that every killer cant do without good chases and mobility.
All needs to be done is give down in the main hook if there isnt basement and if basement spawns in main then open the breakable doorway on opposite side from gen which is on opposite side of the hause of pain easy fix that benefits all sides and fixes unhookable place and kills the oppressivness of the variant with basement in the main and makes it no longer huge dead tomb from which is very hard to ecape if killer doesnt open that breakable wall closer to main basement which I mentioned above.

I mean yeah it countered sabo, but sabo hasnt been meta or really prevalent since 2016. The effect it had was niche at best and barely anyone used it
I was way stronger back then because hooks didnt respawn first ant then they were gone for 1 minute but true reason it wasnt so strong was because killers got more power in sluging and tunneling then now, less perks to counter these strategies and no basekit counters from survivor side either.

ngl I completely forgot it even had an effect on Bear Traps
It was meant as counter to sabbo before they made everything respawn back its been so long and even then this perk wasnt that great but it was needed against sabbo squads.

I’ve been in 10 - 15 minute survivor queues where i’ve been hard tunneled out of the game, which also again just feels like I wasted my time. Camping just feels like im giving up pressure when i could be in another chase.
I guess at the end of the day slugging, 3 genning and tunneling just wastes peoples time over all in an activity we’re all supposed to be enjoying, time is more precious than anything.
Sad part is if the changes went live but with not so busted tunneling punishments I would have better games with basekit pop and barbeque but in this state its just huge time waste spreading hooks and just giving survivors dead hards and ds they weponize against me with forced bodyblocks.

This perk is dead for long time and only reason to run it was back then when hooks took ages to respawn from sabbo and beartraps too. It needs some solid buffs.

I'm also not sure there's actually enough space between the lower floor and the ceiling of the lower floor for a hook to fit down there.
I think there would fit one but yes that main is busted 2 god paletts and strong window for long run around, only few killers can break it quickly and they are as usual the strongest ones.

I dont care if you have issue with tunneling or killer buffs you have plenty of perks to choose from and probably you still get tunneled out with them, thats poor by itself.

No mither and a couple of other perks in a SWF with the Badham and Basement in Shack offerings made you invincible in the main building lower floor area, but as you say, a SWF isn't going to set up all that without a nailed on guarantee they get that map anymore.
I remember playing against it with 2 No Mithers and it was impossible!
You dont need swf all you need is just good rng and boil over or teammate with bodyblock and break out and killer cant hook there.

You do understand the statistical improbability of that just means you are lying right? Map offerings are dead the odds of you getting badham every night is tiny, with you losing the 50/50 on basement spawn, and somehow getting an extremely coordinated survivor group running these builds? You are more likely to find someone running no mither and winning than all of that aligning.
I see issue is there for both side one for sirvivor when there is basement its mission impossible to pull a rescue and other for killer when there is no basement so its unhookable place, what Im lying about I gave you solition thas good for both sides on more survivor sided map only one who has crazy claims is you with your original BNP=tunneling so one ds skillcheck equels 2-3 minutes yeah very logical.

All the downvoters need to show us how it’s done
I think they are just offended by some facts and cant insult me like some salty people do in endgame chatt so they throw downvotes but i dont give a damm, its just logical you want from killers to go for more time consuming way to get kills and not hard tunnel but you have few tools how to do it you can punish it bu this wont solve the problem only deepens it (if you only give survivors better antitunnel and antislug and killer nothing to compansate like unique hooks then what happens is simple weaker killers became hardcore to play some will be unplayable and people will play more a-tier based killers and some killers will left which will lead to less survivors as well beacause they will play against same killers with less killer players), to fix it the devs need to punish tunneling but not so much like they did it now and reward killers for 12 hook games (which they did so they arent so oblivious after all and know how to fix it).

The Killer's rule is to execute Survivors, so prioritizing those hooked is only natural, right? How much assistance do Survivors need before they're satisfied...?
If you play as the Killer, you'll understand why they choose to tunnel or camp.Tbh if there werent so ouvertuned antitunnel punishments that punish killer who doesnt even tunnel and 30 seconds of haste and endurence in endgame isntead of 10 (busted number just free escape with 30) I would win more with basekit pop and killer bonuses when i dont tunnel with some m1 but now its still punishing every survivor runs some antitunnel ds,dead hard so if you hook everyone then you gave them strong perks but if you focus on two survivors till one of them dies then its more better than tunneling just one guy hardcore and sometimes its necesery to tunnel with 3 hooks on 1-2 gen left (not hard to get this situation with m1 against good survivors if they predrop and loop well) ,many ds users are trying weaponize ds to force bodyblock and grab action for their ds even if you dont tunnel which is sick but many lobbyes are full of ds and dead hard so no surprise they are doing this.

I really felt like I was being targeted this morning by the killers on the US East servers, due to my higher ping.
They would always go for me first, completely ignoring others, as you could see many times @cogsturningFortunately, aside from that awful Singularity (god how I hate that killer, when they use cheese tactics) who was toxic in chat as well, and the bodyblocking "count to 10" Wraith, the other ones learned a valuable lesson. Don't hyperfocus on the players who actually knows how to loop.
Singularity is hard to get rid of when he locks on you and shaming wraith for bodyblocking thats part of his kit without both uncloak reducing addons its very hard to get hit fast (cant get hit so easily with boosted m1 when survivor is still running) so in many places he needs to cut survivor off so he doesnt make it to window or palett.
-
Knight is weak and braindead survivors are the same that just straight in the open area from huntress and dont look back just easy target practise, they will get downed no mather what and knight is just buggy c-tier killer at best just like legion or pig he is noobstomper who is bane against these survivors but one he goes against survivors which are little decent the outcome change drasticaly. When I started playing again from long pause I had stoped before mmr was introduced so I had none and I could play mayers with no perks and addons getting 3k to 4k all depended where hatch spawned and who was closer.

anti tunnel should of launched with zero changes. Killers can suffer until it gets balanced properly, we’ve dealt with tunnel for years at this point. What happened to them releasing stuff and look at the data before they adjust?
The equivalent of your idea is like claiming the killer finisher (original one where if killer slugged all survivors the game ended instantly and last downed got moried in animation without abandon escape, killer didnt need to hook anybody to win like this just slug all and the last standing survivor) should have been released with its flaws.

Oh no sabotage being more viable and reducing gen rushing survivors? Anyway giving killers a basement that's much harder to escape than the regular one is not an absurd and unhealthy change?
It is bad map from 2017 till now but this has esy fix if the basement spawns in main building the the back breakable wall (the one opposite from gen in main basement) should spawn open and if there inst basement and spawns in shack (which is more common from my experience) the there should be hook, easy fix that is still not done from 2017 Idk why.

True is badham main building basement is busted (its dobble basement with locked entrences and its very hard to get out of there) but Im getting badham almost every night as killer and basement is always in the shack so there should spawn hook down there insted of basement I have got plenty of times when survivors go down there knowing I cant hook them or hardly to get to the hook just breakout, boil over or one bodyblock is all it takes and this place is unhookable and killer is forced to slug like in rpd library when there was floor with widow above book shels.
-
Problem is spreading hooks is not rewarded now since the changes wont come live (thank god the some of them were overdone in terms of punishing tunneling they punished even killers that werent tunneling) if killer spreads hooks he gets less time to get more hooks and kills which makes the tunneling still more rewarding than spreading hooks. In my opinion best option now for killer is mainly focus on two targets and get them out (no need for hardcore tunneling but prioritize them more than other survivors) and other survivors hook or slug, injure depends on what perks you have (perks than need tokens for hooks like grim or pain res) or what is most beneficial for you as killer, if you try to 12 hook solid team which sits on gens whenever they arent rescuing or being chased than killer must have fast downs or he looses gens fast and being on 1 gen left with no one death on hook with few hook stages isnt ideal and hard to get some results.
-
@Foggyguy said:
Only if we half the number of hooks on maps where there's several hooks in walking distance.
Less hooks mean more tunneling, sluging and proxycamping. There should be alway option to reach the hook and survivor has option to wiggle out is someone bodyblocks or sabbos or uses perks like boil over and breakout. This absurd change wont get this game more healty and only punishes one side for doing its objective with no counterplay.

Buffing soloq is one thing, but nerfing SWF is absurd. There's no single SWF experience. I play SWF. Sometimes with one person. Sometimes two. Sometimes a full squad. Sometimes on comms, sometimes not. I have a 39% ER. SWF doesn't mean you're going to be coordinated. It often means you're going to be overly altruistic and die trying to save teammates. It's not an insatwin. Punishing people for having friends is crazy.
The key problem is buffing soloq is buff for swf before antitunnel changes (free borrow time from bill became basekit) sfw have to run it but when it became basekit they have free slot for other perks and soloq got help as well but not so high as swf because swf is like imagining wesker with best addons and perks who can pull every tech from hug techs and insta hug techs etc. against wesker with best perks and addons but without skill and experience to pull these techs which maybe doesnt look much different but its huge gab, one wesker wont catch you that quickly on some loops where his power is weaker and other will get you with much less effort compare to other one. Swf has much higher potencial and even if you play just casualy and have coms you have basicaly best info in the game you know who is killer, where is killer and who is where and whats everybody doing this is huge for game like DBD this basicaly overshadows every info perk survivor can have, you can make saves from basement or hills that are almost impossible for soloq and use perks and items to their full potencial which makes outcome of the game better for you then you would be in soloq with no info and strategies that are important (soloq can do them but its more of a luck that few players know what to do and do it right compare to swf). Having coms is huge thing in every game like I dont mean the push to talk option which not everybody uses but having your friends on discord or teams which gives you huge advantage against other teams/players which dont have it or use it and DBD is game where you shouldnt have that huge info in first place but before devs will touch swf nurse and blight will get nerfed and antitunnel and antislug changes will get into game balanced, maybe houndmaster will get bugfix till this happens.
-
I have this problem every time I play new killer, my opponents are atleast one duo and it doesnt matter they are p100 but they are sweaty and toxic which is great combination to get something like this on new killer I not experienced with and not used to his power. Only time I got potatoes was on my first ghostface game and adept straight unlocked because they were kinda new (no more than 500 hours against 2k hours killer) and I didnt even need to use stalk to get fast downs or any hadrer mindgames just faking directions on paletts and vaults then going around and getting hit almost for free but that happens when you get very unexperienced survivors against solid killer its just slaughter same goes for good survivors against new killer (when there was no mmr the blue eyes wraiths or nurses which didnt know how to blink and chased you as m1 what a guarantee win but that was like 4-5 years ago when mmr wasnt a thing).
-
Yeah haondmaster, knight and one and only queen of the bugs twins are all killers which are considered holy trinity when it comes to bugs. I would say she is fighting for the second place with knight but now she is kinda winning but no one can beat twins in terms of bugs nothing is better than victor flying through survivor multiple times. I fear these three killers will have bugs for some time before they fix them and reason is twins are least played killer in the game and houndmaster with knight dont have to much players too if it was wesker this would have been fixed long ago but ai in DBD has been crap from the start with nemesis zombies.

I really don't like the trend of addons that were meant to represent some of the most important items to a killer in lore being reduced in rarity for gameplay reasons. Addon effects are often swapped or changed with reworks or just for being problematic, so I don't see why it shouldn't be the same here.
I'd rather Fragrant Tuft or Hair get a new effect and its rarity be kept the same. They've done this kind of change with a few killers in the past, and I've always found it irritating.
Worst part is when killer is very dependent on addons like bubba without beast marks is very different killer who cahnges from palett eating simulator to some beast which can do mindgames at most loops with his saw.
-
The only thing survivors have is pallets and windows and so many killers (knight, legion, nurse and more) aren’t even affected by them. It’s like you designed a game for people to losLike only killer tahts issue is nurse, legion and knight are joke smoked two times because against legion you are injured and he injures you easily but thats all he does and looping is very strong against normal m1 killer and knight his ai is so easy to loop in most places with window and palett that if he doesnt shread palett with carnifex and hits you because he zoned you or assasin doesnt spawn on you when you are healing or doing gen so he gets hit because you are lacking distance or he pincer you with jailer (keep in mind his guards are buggy as twins every time when devs touch them so skilled survivor can easily loop on loops like shach both knight and his guard at the same time mostly jailer because other guards dissapear super fast if he is close), so you mentioned only one killer that isnt compleatly effected by paletts, most of them are and some have solid counterplay.

My experience with Distortion survivors: I didn’t see it that often, and during the big Distortion wave I was in a different meta anyway, so it didn’t tilt me.
When I did see it, it was usually people waiting for someone else to take first chase, trying to shed the tunnel, and not covering dead hooks even with a clear tunnel and two hook states left—you can step in there, even if you go down, the killer usually has a clear target anyway.
I probably get different lobbies than Firellius (~500h); vs brand-new killers stealth might work and they’ll play hide-and-seek, but in my lobbies killers grab pressure elsewhere instead of searching forever. (same as i do)
Watching some of them in spectate, the camera control/movement often looked like Distortion put them in lobbies they didn’t belong in; when they finally met the killer it was insta-down. I’ve always been relaxed about it because as survivor you don’t control your team—once you hit ready you accept whoever you get; they might be doing achievements/challenges, meme runs, recording YouTube, whatever. You can’t expect optimal, team-win play with randoms. For what it’s worth, I never sold Distortion players to the killer, but I saw plenty of randoms deliberately feeding the stealth player; from killers I rarely saw toxic after-chat. Different lobbies, different experiences.
idk. Only my experience.
As killer, Distortion never bothered me tbh. As surv? sometimes, y. but it was super rare …
but uhm.. it was super rare—and I never had a problem taking the tunnel if the distortion ppl didn’t want chase and were otherwise doing their job. What did annoy me was when there’s no cover even though teammates are right there and could bodyblock—but you see that with or without Distortion (BHVR, better matchmaking pls).
buut.. I heard way more Distortion hate from survivors than from killers—like, a lot more.As killer distortion was your i´maginary fried causing tunneling and getting you more time for killing other survivors exept the one rating away with distortion, dont get me wrong not everyone using was rat (it was popular perk with no counter) but many I have seen were and thats what gets me more angry then tunneling killer is survivor hinding in the corner because he is scared and not taking bodyblocks or chases if he can from other survivor who is dead on hook, such selfish and unlogical behavior is just brainrot that is stopping me to even think to play soloq.

no he isnt he sucks if the survivors know how to exploit the AI you HAVE to babysit the guards wich is not doable anymore due to the massive nerfs he got with his "rework" (gutting)
They basicaly nerfed or almost removed his doubletap potencial and only guard who can be used in close quoters is jailor because he wont dissapear as fast as assasin or carnifex. He would be solid if his guards ai would work but in my experience his guards are most time less usefull than nemesis zombies which arent even nemesis main power compare to knight, even survivor bots are smarter and more cunning than knights guards.
-
@Choaron said:
No offense but Knight is a more than decent killer already.
He would be if his ai on his guard werent same in bugs and stupidity as nemesis zombies only difference is nemesis zombies arent his main power but secondery trade of for having mobility as info and survivor harrassing tool but knights guards are his only power. He can be good against survivors that doesnt how to run him but
The Knight becomes atrociously weak on higher MMR since survivors there know all the exploits that counter guard AI, such as>dropping a pallet makes the guard take a detour around the loop (despite that theyre able to phase through pallets anyways)>briefly running next to a pallet or window (without actually vaulting) will make the guard go to that vault and face it, then stutter for a bit before continuing chase, giving free distance and a safe way out of a dead end (e.g. you can get chased into the autohaven crane, touch the vault, then run back out around the guard while he's B-lining to the window to just stare at it)>tapping a survivor on hook to cancel the guard instantly, even if you don't plan on actually unhookingthis is true and they didnt fixed any of this his guard should go throught palett or window vault if survivor vaults it (maybe he should go around if he drops it) but instead he goes around the whole loop and with current knights feature you can be close to your guard who is cahsing someone because he will dissapear 3 times faster so from assasins 12 seconds chase you will get like 4-5 seconds which is nothing, overall knight sucks his power is just bad and buggy ai so other weak c-tier killers such as trickster or wraith, doctor can control their power and get more use of it than knight against better survivors who know his guards weaknesses.

Lightborn instantly deletes any bully squad you come across. Problem solved.
Then you didnt heard of getting downed under a palett which is 50/50 and flashlights or flashbangs with perks like sprintburst or background player are just cherry on top. Lightborn gives you more room to counter saves but its huge waste in killers kit which he will miss later and all depends how smart are survivors to reliaze killer has lightborn and play more agressive on gens and getting downed on paletts not in the open.

i personnaly dislike the greenville realm as awhole simply bc of the amount of pallets everywhere making basically every m1 killer useless since you cant mindgame them since they arent tall enough)
Worst are the white tall fence loops, they are long so many think they can be mindgamed but truth is they can because first survivors will know where you are because of heartbeat indicator how far you are and second most important part killers red stain can be seen through gabs in these fences not to mention if someone has some filter for brighter color or some more red focused filter then they see you like there was tall glass.

We've gone a decade without needing to change things. Stop changing everything about the game for no substantial reason.
Pyramidhead has limited range now without addons its 10 meters I think and nurse can get max 32 meters from her two blinks fully charged but calling pyramid same is kinda meh, his punishment of damed is easy to doge and one of easiest projectiles to to doge in general and its even harder to hit with it someone plus he cant hit you when there is elevation like he can go downstairs or down but not up thats why swamp maps are his nerf and if there is some hole with air his projectile cant go through that either so we are compearing s-tier killer (strongest in the game) with a-tier killer (in top 10 but more 7-11 in power with his place in game) who has no mobility and all he has is strong antiloop with ability to cage people so he can save some time and risk like ds or saves.

Haxes are in poor state, I only use one max two with good effects because every time i use ruin theres like 50% chance survivors will spawn right on it. Hexes should be glass cannos (if bhvr wants them that way but most new arent worth to use only in some specific builds) with strong effect like devour, noed, blood favor, undying, maybe hounted grounds but most hexes arent worth running compare to other perks which last more than half of the game.

it's really bad killer can destroy easily 3 survs if he tunnels out 1 survivor from start, even at 1 gen 3 solo survs can't win
If its not strong killer with 3gen then 3 survivors alive on 1 gen left can do it if not then its huge skill issue from survivor side (as I said if its strong killer with good 3 gen like singularity, blight, billy these can be hard to beat and require very good coordination which is rare thing in soloq). The 3 gen issue was fixed and it can still happen but the 3 gen issue now isnt from rng factor which decides where gen spawn and how close to each other but from survivors doing gens asap and dont think logically that last 3 gens have to be as far as possible or atleast two can be closer but one has to be super far so even killers with strong mobility cant preasure it easily with good prerunning and teamwork to do these gens killer can protected this way and is forced to commit to chase. Your tunneling exsample works when the not good killer as survivors tunnels from the start because if the killer isnt that good on weaker/ mediocre killer survivors can loop him for long time so its 2 escapes at worst.

All that depends who I get if they are salads which think main objective are chests and totems with no strong hexes in the match and cant loop longer than 20 seconds on shack (not counting if the killer is s-tier) or pros which do gens and know how to loop so killer gets some time wasted and more gens can be done thats key thing to success.

Ahem.. What do you think some killer players do as soon as the final gen pops?
The amount of times I have seen, or ended up in situations like this:

Now, this example is from the anniversary event, where I played with @HeroLives, but the point still stands. Killers will absolutely facecamp you.
Who the hell complains that killer is camping or facecamping survivor when gates are powered even devs agreed there isnt nothing killer can do exept try to secure last kill.
