No.
Survivors can stack gen progression, so Killers should be able to stack gen regression.
This would create a significantly healthier game as regression would not be nearly as problematic as it should be
By 'healthier' you mean 'Survivors would be happy with more wins and who cares about Killers'?
Can I just ask, do you think eruption was fair when the incapacitation lasted for 25s? Just curious based on the other things you've said on the forums lmao

Run to hook find or make a opening to unhook, his chainsaw is a big risk for him and if does not use it, then he is just a m1 killer.
when unhook happen, bubba go for a chainsaw swep. Run into locker and wait for tantrum end, the momment it end. You have to get out, this not easy. when you have gotten out you are pratical save, if he get you or anybody else. After you got out of the locker, then the blame is on the person who got taken. For doing a miss play, he has not have much going for him.
I say you dismissing, because you are dismissing. I tell 4 out is not that it need any help to happen and you think that I am a killer main, but I follow the bloodpoints.
- Using his chainsaw is not a big risk, he will be using it by the hook 2. You do not have anywhere near enough time to get into a locker, unhooking takes time and by the time you're finished getting the unhook he'll have instadowned you on the spot 3. When did I say you're a killer main? What I probably said is just that you're wrong, that's not dismissing

The anniversary stream:
"And that is something to do with facecamping. [...] used to describe a killer that's standing directly in front of a hooked survivor, they're not moving, they're waiting for that hooked survivor to die on hook. And this is usually happening either for a large portion of the match if not the entirety of the match. We know that facecamping can be very very unfun [...] looking to test out a new feature that's going to help combat face-camping as a whole. [...] really difficult to play against someone that's face-camping 'cause I just want to help and I can't [...] sounds like this feature is targeting those most egregious cases of face-camping where it's really used in a spot that's way too early in the game or a spot that's really not gonna make the match as fun as possible"
https://deadbydaylight.com/news/anniversary-gameplay-updates/
Ah, camping. It’s a term that many Dead by Daylight players have come to know quite well. Before we continue, however, we must make a key distinction. This update is designed to tackle the act of face-camping, a process that has long sparked debate and frustration amidst our players. In essence, face-camping in this context refers to gameplay where the Killer stands directly in front of – or otherwise in the immediate vicinity – of a Hooked Survivor. This allows them to easily interrupt grabs and prevent rescues, thereby killing a Survivor with minimal room for actual gameplay. Enter the upcoming Anti Face-Camping System, an update designed specifically to remove situations where a player is being face-camped and only face-camped. As it stands, this will not impact instances where the Killer is engaging in what’s often referred to as “proxy-camping,” a far more nebulous process.
lmao
BHVR's problem is that when the killer is too close, they can completely prevent the unhook from actually happening. They don't have a problem with trading or proxy-camping. AKA, this means if the survivor CAN get the unhook off successfully, there is no problem. A killer further than 10m away will down the unhooker, but the unhook will still happen. Which solves the problem BHVR has.
So again I ask you, if the system is only meant for facecamping then why does it extend to 16m? And why does the roadmap only say camping?

I think @1ettuce gave you all the rebuttle you need, honestly.
But personally, if you are camping at the 10-16m range, you are effectively face camping. That said, we don't really need to be a semantic samuel about this, because the issue isn't a matter of semantics. The issue is "how many meters away from hook do we want to discourage the killer from camping?" It appears the developers settled on 16m, and I would agree with them. A killer who is standing within 16m and watching the hook is not being very engaging--they are facilitating a behavior that should be discouraged for the health of the game.
If you're going to complain about "he said-she said," then you're not looking at the real issue.

@ili said:
this anti-camping can be different, instead of the survivor going off the hook, the counter of the hook can be frozen, and the killer power doesn't work if he is near the hook, example: bubba, myers, huntress, trapper.
I agree I want some kind of power limitations near the hook, but it's tricky. Like if a survivor leads you to a hooked survivor during a chase you should still be able to chainsaw them, but if you're just camping the hook you shouldn't be able to immediately instadown survs that go for the save

Except you're wrong and devs said verbatim over and over that it's specifically for face-camping. 10-16m is not facecamping unless you are on drugs.
Devs are the same ones who also said the range is gonna reach out 16m. If you're gonna ride the devs do it consistently

The mechanic isn’t for camping. It’s for facecamping. 10m isn’t facecamping. 16m isn’t facecamping unless you are on drugs.
If the mechanic isn't for camping, and 10-16m isn't facecamping, then why does the range go out that far? Let's see, there's two options. Either bhvr is out of their minds and thinks 10-16m is facecamping, or, maybe, JUST MAYBE, the system is for """"camping"""" instead of """"""""""facecamping."""""""""" What people wan't is to make 4 out, a big thing.
They wan't it too be a heart pounding thrille ride, where people are yelling yes when they get through the gate.
Or atleast they want something closer too that, then killer can look at 4 surveiwers. Who can play around and make a fool out of the killer. You say it impossible, but everyone else say it is fine or to easy.
Why do killers care if the survivors have a boring experience getting a 4 out anyways? Also that's cool that everyone else says it's fine or too easy but they are just unarguably wrong in the case of the killers I mentioned. Show me a video of a team with no perks getting a 4 out against a camping bubba, please

It isn't zero effort, it just effort you don't respect and see as valid. There is plenty of counterplay to be found when the gates are powered and you still have most every asset available to you that you had at earlier points. What I meant by bad decision making is in relation to a lot of the reasons people go down in endgame. It often is our bad decision making in the moment that gets us at the end of the game.
Bubba- This one is just a wash, you leave the person or risk a trade. Don't throw the whole at team him you should know better.
hillbilly- He can only go after one person at a time, his recovery is pretty bad, and his power literally moves him away from hooks it's another trade situation, but with better chances to save during trade.
oni- See billy strat above, just spread out so you don't get splash downed.
plague- She can't even down you with her power unless she has corrupt purge up. I see no problems making saves against her unless you 've let her get corrupt purge in which just wait out. It doesn't last that long and then she's just an m1 killer.
huntress (particularly with cooldown addons or iri head)- She can only throw so fast and iri head shouldn't be making things that much harder for you considering she can't carry more than one hatchet no matter what she does. If 4 of you made to endgame against iri head then I don't see what the problem is.
, trickster- Unless he's running cuff links to get exploding knives he can only focus one of you swarm him and he 's not gonna have enough knives to get all of you. He's like one of the absolute worst campers because he needs to expend far more effort and resources to get like a 3rd of the value.
pyramid head- Are you having problems with his ranged attack? That's the only way I can see you having issue there.
stbfl- If you've all made it to the endpoint alive I'm gonna assume unless the killer never did anything offensive they will probably not have that many tokens for this to be an issue. If they do then that was strat from the beginning which is an insane amount of effort to go for.
myers- If you have opened the doors you just wait out T3. If he has infinite T3 then you need to leave, period. It's not gonna make you feel dominate, but it'll still be a W if you leave
pinky finger- Clown'? Really? Just swarm him to force trade and make him reload then dodge.
original pain- Original Pain just cause deep wounds? How is this a camping problem?
Honestly kinda bored so I'll address these anyways
Bubba - free 1k no bueno
Billy - sounds still like free 1k
Oni - again
Plague - corrupt purge lasts for a whole hook stage + even w vile purge you have very little recovery if you just full vomit in someone going for the save and they get no speed boost
Huntress - what? like what are you actually talking about here
trickster - yes he easily will, even if he doesn't use knives to get a down he can go through health states extremely quickly with very little cooldown
pyramid head - completely negates body blocking and has not super short but shorter than usual cooldown
stbfl - literally can just get the tokens, not hard stuff
myers - infinite tier 3 beyond free 1k (which is still dumb) and even without it only takes 5 seconds (less w stalk rate addons) to get back to tier 3, it is very very very unlikely that you can prevent a Myers from simply looking at you for 5 whole seconds before getting the unhook unless you're on like the most indoor of indoor maps or something
clown - yeah exactly, it's a trade, so someone goes back on the hook and you're back to the exact same situation
pinhead - immediately removes basekit bt, makes it so surv has absolutely no protection off hook
-

The save isn't what's punitive, why are you trying to to purposely misconstrue what I'm saying.
The things that are punitive are the ways people tend to suggest as a "fix" to Bubba's strength in camping. Camping in the game is a generalized issue, not a Bubba specific issue. Yet, people often want targeted changes to how specific killers function when camping that are in no way proper solutions. They end up being punishments that are often just wanting killer powers to fail or be blocked out for daring to defend a hook. That is what I mean by punitive changes.
You want to make this an Us vs. Them thing, but I don't see why? Everyone knows how Bubba currently functions and seemingly there is no change coming to how he functions. So the generalized camping issue is getting addressed as it should be, but a Bubba specific change isn't so for the time being we can only deal with a less than optimal situation. You can make saves against a face camping Bubba, I've done it, I've had people save from me when I used to play Bubba, and I've been saved from Bubba. It is possible, but never without a cost. Someone often still dies, but the funny thing is that is normal and expected. A Pyrrhic victory is still a victory. Should it be as hard as it is? No it shouldn't, but for 5+ years of threads it hasn't changed so at some point you take what you got and work with it.
- I'm not doing any of that on purpose, I'm genuinely trying to understand hence the ?s 2. I agree that it's punitive, that's just a fact, but to say that it's overly punitive I think is untrue 3. I don't know how I'm making it an us vs them thing tbh 4. I know you technically can unhook against bubba, obviously, but when I say "you can't save against bubba" I mean you can't get the 4 out, at all, that's a problem
-
@Mushmallow said:
It’s not a free kill, the killer caught them.
Getting 1 single hook doesn't take effort. If that doesn't count as a free kill then getting a 4 out w DS in endgame or anti camping system in endgame shouldnt count as a free escape since the survivors got all the gens done

It's my favorite perk but can understand why you'd want to remove it as well, lol
However I'm not really sure it's OP at all because if it was, a lot more people would be using it, even if it can FEEL op when going against it
And yes, I've done it time and time again, and if I notice that another person is around, I just hit them before the obsession can get picked up, and the person picking him up never has enough time to bodyblock either
If all 3 are there to bodyblock, who is doing gens?
I don't think it's op, I don't even think the examples of killers I gave in the original post are op, they're just dumb imo. Also I would think, you have two ppl by the downed person, 1 person has a gen 99d and completes it as soon as the obsession gets picked up, then goes for a gate and hopefully probably maybe (?) the other teammates have bought enough time for the gen completer to then come in and take a prot hit? Idk I'll be honest w u it's hard to say since it's much less binary than say bubba camping a hook and I just haven't been in this situation very much

I'm not fine with it, but I am very aware that there just isn't much to be done. You either risk a trade or don't. If you can blind him or stun him it might help, but he is what he is and does what he does. You want someone to sit here and agree to an overly punitive measure against Bubba and I'm not gonna do that. Not because I favor killer more than survivor, but because I typically don't believe it is healthy to design overly punitive measures against killers or survivors who are just playing the game in a way people don't like or wasn't intended. You're really into making snap judgments about what i think that have no bearing on reality or what I even wrote. I play the game as it sits and have been for 6 years. I have a decent understanding of what it takes to get survivors out of sticky situation and better understanding of what it takes to put survivors in a sticky situation. I like killer more, but I play both sides and I try to be unbiased when I can be, but some situations don't have good counters that allow for everyone to escape. That while not the greatest the feeling thing is better overall for game health than basically every insanely punitive measure people run to the form to suggest. I don't want wholly unstoppable things in the game, but I'm not going to ever side with the notion that killers are getting kills "for free" when that isn't the case most of the time. Bubba is extremely hard to counter completely so your best options are always gonna be leave or trade. Changing his power to functionally break when daring to be near a survivor on hook is a terrible idea.
Like I said, the effort is there, but it is effort you don't respect or find valid.
You really should read my other suggestions because they are more often than not quite helpful against those killers.
How is it overly punitive? It's overly punitive that you're able to get the save against a camping bubba? Sorry but no, the effort is not there. Getting one hook and then camping it is not effort. If that's effort considered worthy of 1 kill, then getting all the gens done should be effort considered worthy of a 4 out

I run rancor almost every match as most killers
They've never been able to do this, especially if I have undetectable or obsession switching perks because they simply won't know its in play until its too late
Teammates try to pick them up, I just hit them down again, rinse and repeat until they give up or the last gen is popped. 2 can try to bodyblock while the last one finishes gens but that won't really save them because of NWO + remember me
I think the only time I failed to even get 1 out of this strategy is if I'm a 4.4m/s killer & they are exceptional loopers, and even then, I almost always get them, if not 2 or 3 with game afoot
I'm not saying it should be nerfed because hardly anyone uses it despite its strength in the right hands, but saying it's less guaranteed is pretty false when they can sabo hooks and/or take hits when you are carrying them
You can't "just down them again" if they have enough ppl to take hits and are maybe not bad at looping + pick them up as the last gen gets popped, but I'd vouch for a rancor rework anyways, perks just dumb

How is it not guaranteed by legit camping the slugged obsession when 1 gen is left?
You're able to find out about rancor as the obsession so you can play omega safe and hide a ton and even then if they're just slugging a teammate can just pick you up and then pop the gen and take hits and whatnot. Not exactly easy but absolutely doable

And there is 4 people who know I can't do anything and won't leave before they have shown me how powerless I am.
And you won't that to be even more commen, honestly if down, hook and 3 other players can't save. Just say ''gg what a game'', because to be honest, you basicly asking the samething as a killer who ask for the hatch not spawning if he 3 kills before all gens are done and the gates can be open before the last player fix the remaning gens.
What exactly is your point with any of this? Genuinely do not understand
-
@ReikoMori said:
The game isn't over just because y'all have finished the generators and you're not owed anything. The endgame literally refers to the endgame collapse which is only triggered when you open a door or hatch is closed. If you want more time to make more saves then don't open the door. It is extremely simple, but even if it didn't function like that the killer's objective literally becomes only defend hooks to secure kills. The anti-camping feature addresses the situation adequately when it needs to, but if you're in egc you aren't anymore entitled to have the game help you than the killer is entitled to camp you. Just because y'all survived to that point doesn't mean you should suddenly be less immune to consequences of bad decision making and clutch outplays or even someone just getting lucky.
By endgame I'm referring to when the gates are being powered. I understand the killer's only objective is to defend hooks, but they can secure that objective with ZERO counterplay. Just because you have an objective doesn't mean you should be able to guarantee completing said objective with zero effort. Also don't really know what you mean by bad decision making..as long as someone's on the hook there's nothing you can do to rescue them vs the aforementioned killers

I play both sides. Not disabling the anti-camp mechanic during EGC would put the killer in a loose-loose situation. Same would be for blocking the Killer's power when camping.
What you call counterplay is giving you a free unhook so you can escape. There IS counterplay against the Killer's you mentioned. It's just not easy. And you did not answered my statement. What about Nurse and Blight?
Nurse and blight are the same thing pretty much, a little harder to say for certain, whatever. Also no, there isn't counterplay. If there is for huntress w no addons then at the very least there literally isn't ANY to bubba. What you call a free unhook has to be coordinated to not end up in a trade
-
@Hexan said:
what about no, this just make endgame more of a pain for killer and it is realy bad right. killer can only wait for the other team too leave, if they had a bad game with no endgame perks. And it is not uncommen for that to be drownout, what you are asking is giving killers a harder time for a bad game. Because you don't wan that L in the end, it does not sound fair too me.
If anything it sounds like you're the one who doesn't want an L in the end because not getting any kills is apparently really that devastating? You know why endgame is a pain for killer? Because they're probably about to lose the game, or do you want that to just never happen?

but in endgame the guy on hook got the ability to play the game and all Survivors have done their objective so in most of these cases the other Survivors can coordinate a save so camping is fine in that regard.
It's not fine bc a lot of the times they can't get a save no matter how much they coordinate

Many did not understand what this topic was
The problem is that depending on the radius of the anty-camp zone, this can oppress non-camping killers and at the same time will not stop the basement bubba
and option 2 if the zone is small, then the killers will continue to camp
The “Take and give nothing” approach is already incredibly bad, but combined with implementation, it becomes either depressing or useless.
now if you play "Fair" then you literally get nothing so why not start encouraging "fair" players
instead of just limiting
"give and take nothing" approach is basically as bad as the "take and give nothing" approach

"Please tell me exactly what spirit player was out here like "Drat! They got rid of my husk with an item that isn't a medkit or toolbox! I feel so unfairly punished and this definitely impacts more than 1/10000 games!""
If it only affects .01% of games, then I don't see how removing it is that big of a deal.
It was unnecessary and basically did nothing besides removing fun

I had another thought on this. What if the hatch was always open and couldn't be closed? Would that be too much or would people think that was fair enough? Or that the killer can close the hatch, but it opens again after a certain time? Something along those lines? I have absolutely no idea if that actually makes any sense, but it popped into my head and I thought I just share the thought.
Idk I think hatch is just kinda dumb and outdated, especially getting bored to death patrolling the gates after closing it

if that is so, why does the game not just end with the 5th gen completed? Because its not over, so they havnt won yet, and they dont deserve anything.
A lot of the time they are all alive because the killer didnt either camp nor tunnel. Because the killer played fair they deserve to escape?
Also, there are endgame builds, especially with challenges.
"Not exactly a true statement" + a lot of the time they could also all be alive just because the killer is simply bad + playing fair doesn't warrant a free kill lol....
