Something less technical would be to just make Survivors have a terror radius to other Survivors.oh yeah that would be cool and simple to do imo.

Eternal Scream of the Treated Mind.A Survivor in Madness 3 sees other Survivors as the Doctor. While in Madness 3 Survivors will experience a close proximity heart beat and chase music.
Yeah I know. Not a chance. But a Doctor can dream.
ooh that would be a nice ability, but it sounds like a huge technical hassle imo. I would be honestly surprised if the devs actually implemented something this technical.

Yes, but an illusion is an illusion, for them it might seem real but it's not. From "pushing survivors into madness" to "teleporting randomly in front of them" it's a big step. Too big.
There's already the Hag for that btw. It's suppose to be strong I mean hello it's a Ultra rare addon. I mean if you are talking about killer similarities then just look at Leatherface and Hillbilly. This add on would make survivors fear The Doctor and it would give an incentive for the doctor to raise the madness levels of all survivors in the map instead of tunneling one person at a time
While we're at it let's make the Hillbilly go invisible while he uses his chainsaw and let Myers throw his knife.
Okay dude just because you don't like the idea doesn't mean you have to derail the conversation by being stupid. -.-
I wasn't derailing, I was just doing some examples since you seem to not understand my point of view.
I understand that when you don't like something from your point of view, you go and make a ridiculous out of the world of possibility suggestion hence, the derailing.
Since you still seem to not understand, my critique is that your idea is just slapping on the the Doctor an unrelated power similar to that of another killer. Addons should enhance a power, not changing it to something else totally unrelated to that character. The Doctor has nothing to do with teleporting, he can't do it and never will because that is not his power.
Doctor has illusions of himself due to his power and i'm proposing a ability that enhances that power. Your statement makes no sense.

Also the illusions usually pop up in front of the survivor and are facing towards the survivor in which the doctor can already see from a distance, but with this add on he could take it a step further and actually teleport to that illusionary aura

Sorry OP we can't return it since we lost the receipt.

or maybe another cool idea for a ultra rare would be that missing a skill check injures you

How does LF regain his chainsaw charges? Does he just regain the charges by not using the chainsaw over time?

If you are thinking of running around and having fun with the new Deathgarden mask for Meg...don't. I cannot tell you how many times I got face camped, tunneled, tight patrolled just for simply running around with the Deathgarden mask. Now, you might be thinking, "maybe he was being toxic?" Well I wasn't. In fact, after I took off the mask and started wearing regular clothes, I actually got farther in the game (plus ranking up) and I wasn't camped nor tunneled. Not sure why killers feel the need to tunnel people with the new mask or maybe they think I am a Twitch or Youtuber, but the mask isn't worth getting your fun trampled over. Don't take this as like you need to stop wearing the mask, I am just advising you that wearing the mask puts a huge target on your head. When someone wears a special cosmetics I think that they want attention, so I give them more attention then the other survivors to satisfy them.
What a way to ruin the experience/fun for someone don't you think?
Wait, how do I ruin their experience? Isnt it the point of the game being chased and killed eventually?
Yeah eventually, but when the killer solely tunnels you and camps you instead of chasing others or patrolling gens it kinda takes the fun away doesn't it. I mean camping and tunneling is such a huge issue that has been discussed since the release of this game so why endorse that kind of behavior?
Also to add to this, when the killer only chases one survivor and camps that survivor that leaves all other survivors to just mindlessly doing gens and opening the exit gate and to me that isn't fun at all. I mean its really boring if you are just sitting there holding M1 or RB for 5 straight gens while nothing really happens and you just walk away untouched.

Well, most of the people I've seen using it are streamers. In particular, AngryPug has used it extensively since he got it. Perhaps killers have already come to expect toxicity from those who wear that mask.Although I do not actively hunt a Survivor with the mask on, I do automatically expect toxic behaviour as soon as I see the mask.
Damn. That makes you just as toxic or even more toxic than the person wearing the mask man.
No it does not. I do not actively change my approach to that Survivor. Read my comment, I EXPECT them to be toxic. Nothing about that is toxic in any way

You're right. I read it wrong.

They should keep the two perks per blood web, but have one perk node be a new Tier 1 perk everytime and the other perk node can be a Tier 2 or Tier 3 perk. Therefore, people can have the choice of unlocking all tier 1 perks and then the blood web can separate to two nodes that contain a Tier 2 perk and a Tier 3 perk.

Proximity voice chat is what F13 had and if you have seen gameplay of it, then you'd know that a huge majority of the councilor players constantly threw profanity and other ######### at the guy playing Jason.DbD is toxic enough without that ######### as well.
but it also provided teamwork across the board and both Jason and the counselors got to roleplay which also made the game enjoyable. Not saying that the same would translate over to DBD, but the topic is about giving the same information that SWF has to solo survivors and I believe giving solo survivors the option to give vocal commands instead of the two emotes would provide for better teamwork and a better overall experience instead of everyone for themselves mentality and bad plays across the board.
-
Also keep in mind that Quentin's vigil is all about relieving his teammates from their status effects and last time I checked Hex perks do give you a status effect such as Cursed, Blindness (Third Seal), Exposed (NOED). Therefore, Quentin should have a perk that should give him the ability to cleanse totems to relieve his teammates from their Hex status effects

This idea has been talked about for Vigil and it would definitely be a nice buff to it. But the extra cleansing speed is probably better for another perk...Well I say this because Quentin is all about helping his teammates recover and his Vigil perk reads, "You look over your friends even in dire situations." I would assume that breaking Hex totems or possible Hex totems could exemplify that.
He's more of an expert on dreaming and the deprivation of sleep. It would feel odd if the knowledge of Voodoo was built into it as well. Now his Vigil is more like him looking out for his friends, so statuses aren't affecting them as much as they would normaly. He's checking if they had enough rest, if they have been treated when poisened or something along those lines.
His other perks could use a buff to them as well, but right now it's just about Vigil. Cleansing speed for totems should rather be linked to someone who has been known to handle things kin to Voodoo. Maybe even meditation, ie. Jake Park. But let's not dive into that.
Jake is a survivalist (in regards to hunting and camping) and I don't think hes encountered any mythical or magical creatures before roaming the Entity's realm. But if you are talking about voodoo magic then wouldn't you think Freddy would fall into that category? I mean the guy literally got his powers from mythical demons and Freddy lives and drags people into a different realm of reality so shouldn't Quentin have some experience being in different realms?

I was watching today's Q&A and there was a question concering the gap between SWF survivors and solo survivors and the point was made that SWF survivors have too much information that can be manipulated in real time due to Voice Chat. I was wondering that maybe to give the same type of information to solo survivors that SWF survivors already have is maybe the idea of implementing proximity voice chat. This would help solo survivors communicate to other survivors instead of cluelessly running around the map and wasting time trying to figure out what other survivors are doing. Also, I would like to note that adding this proximity voice chat feature would also help the killer as he should also be able to hear the survivors talking within a certain range.
If survs know that killer can hear them it would be a constant stream of abuse that we would have to put up with. The other option is that the survs would not use it at all and prefer to use discord to cheat since the killer then cant hear strategy.
I would rather them use discord so i dont have to hear their ######### or some 12 year old screaming his head off. The ones who use discord are cheating anyway so at least this way i dont have to listen to the abuse as well.
solo survivors don't use discord
I use Discord. Granted, none of the people in my Discord are playing the game with me...
I agree with Envees though. I've played more than one KYF game where the survivors were deliberately making loud noises to confuse the killer and cover up for someone who was grunting in pain.
Sure, you could make the sound directional. I guarantee you'd get a 4-man SWF with 3 people all around you going "REEEEEEEEEEEEEE" into their mics so you can't track down the injured guy. Add to that the stream of verbal abuse you're sure to get from some of them.
I'll pass on in-game communication being audible to the killer.
Well maybe add a feature to mute the survivors if you don't like it.

That would be really cool imo. Imo the biggest thing about SWF is the ability to relay v i t a l information across the entire map. Making that info only travel a certain distance and making Killers able to hear it as well is extremely cool.I will say though, that might generate a problem of if a loud noise happens on a Surv’s end it might give away their position. Like if their little sister starts banging at their door or some shite it might be a huge stealth killer.
That's why you use push to talk or have a mute button ready

I would much rather see a ultra rare addon that allows him to break generators by chainsawing them and another ultra rare addon that allows him to have no speed penalty whatsoever when revving the chainsaw.

Sounds nice, but are there would be a notification for the insidious hex giving away all the information.... Thats why I dislike hex designs so much, survivors are literally told "There is a hex, go search for the shining light"No. I would say that survivors would not gain a notification of the Hex perk. It should be up to the survivor to be aware of the situation at hand. Maybe in a perfect world, Hex perks could differ upon the survivors rank. For example; if the survivors are in the Rank 20's then they should gain a notification upon whenever the Hex has been activated however, if the survivors are rank 15 and above then they should not get a notification whatsoever.
-
@TheXenoborg said:
No need to make Insidious a HEX perk. Instead, after activating the perk, if the killer moves the perk takes 5-8 seconds to restore the terror radius. That should make it useful.I think it should be a hex perk because if the killer gains rapid momentum then the perk would become crazy overpowered so by making a hex it gives survivor a chance to counter it, if the killer begins dominating by downing survivors in a rapid succession.
-
I hope so. I can't play survivor and I can barely play killer because everyone is playing killer right now.
