I've said this before, As a Quentin main who uses Wake Up I need them to please leave my perk alone.
If you knowhow to use it, its a perfect perk. Myself/my duo/the randoms, we escape more often then not with this per.
Leave it alone

Games leggy as hell and randomly crashes on xbox so yay
My friend on pc has managed to escape a few times only to not get the crown she'd been carrying most of the match
Killers are face camping and tunneling, more so those with a golden shine and then being BM once you die and hitting your body over and over again
Survivors are being more toxic then normal to the few killers trying to farm blood point or just dcing
So yeah going great so far
-
March 23 should be the release date, but with the devs you never know

I consider I'm against several Killers when my teammates switch to a key when I can't leave the lobby anymore.
The only time I accepted to run with two key holders was yesterday, because I needed people to leave before me for a tome challenge.
Keys are a declaration of war to Survivors too.
Had This happen to me when I solo qued the other day. Last second the obvious swf threesome all switched to keys, I was so pissed I couldn't lobby dodge.
I worked gens, got a hex off the board and even ran the killer at one point. Never saw those three. Finally with 2 gens left the killer got me. I run kindred and where are they hanging out in the basement waiting for the hatch to show up. Didn't even try to get me, they just wanted their free escape. And of course their all red ranked.
Keys need reworked badly

It’s just been really bad for me tonight in terms of teammates. I shouldn’t feel forced to only play killer either as I enjoy both sides, but it’s almost becoming unbearable. It’s getting to the point where I am entering matches expecting the worst. I’ll see how it goes because I might have to take a break for a while as I’m finding more and more reasons to play something else.
Sometimes you have to take a break or if you have people you can play with and are willing to screw around with you, mess around during the match, expecally if your team mates start off as problems right off the bat.
At the end of the last rift I took the month off, felt better coming back to the game.
On a bad night where our team mates or the killer is toxic over and over again my friend and I will be the same survivor stand in the middle of the map and point at each other, often the killer will meme with us or we'll do other things to have fun. Like pretend my buddy is the killer and I run around pallet dropping them.
Last time we did that the Ghostface thought that was great and left the two being toxic alone and screwed around with us until we got bored and we did gens while he killed them. Sometimes that doesn't work and you just die, but when it comes together it's great lol.
You have to do what works for you with this game, take a break if you need to, your mental health is more important then DBD

If You need to take a break, then take a break. After I finished the last rift I took about a month off, felt better coming back to dbd after that, was terribly rusty and died a lot, but playing was fun again.
Another option and something my friend and I do after five plus matches of toxic survivors and killers is just mess around, expecally if you go into a match and your team mates are already trying to screw you.
If you have someone to mess around with you, it can be fun, we've danced on top of the bar at Dead Dog with Michael, got a Ghostface to pretend to be a survivor while my friend went after us as Felix, stood in the middle of Hattenfield as Quentins and pointed at each other while the Wrath pretended to try and figure out who was who. Every single member of the team plus Ghostface chased me around the map playing tag.
It doesn't always work out, but when it does it makes us feel better about the game.
But seriously, take a break if you need to. Your mental health is more important then DBD

Funny how it also happened to you with low ranks and a Huntress. She must be bad luck lol. I don’t know how people find joy in trying to annoy others? It’s just such a bizarre mindset to have.
When we do get grief from other survivors its usually with the Huntress, it's super weird how that goes. Sometimes Legion, but normally Huntress.
I don't get it either, as my friend and I have ranked up we've run into more and more people doing their best to try and ruin the game, we've learned how to avoid them during a match as much as possible. But it's difficult at times
-
I get where you coming from with this. Had something similar happen last night where myself, rank 5, and my friend, rank 7, where put with two rank 20s who kept leading the Huntress to us. When she finally caught both of us they kind of just....danced? Around the hooks t-bagging and nodding.
It was ridiculous to be honest

I don't mean just popping into the match and literally doing nothing. It's hard to explain without visuals and both sides having different perspectives.
Do you enjoy playing against Killers who will essentially let you escape by obviously not playing hard, but still engages with Survivors' during the match? I guess. Sometimes you just really don't want to try super hard against a team at your level and others you can clearly tell that the Survivors are all very bad at escaping Killers, but you still want to play Dead by Daylight. So you take a step back for a match.
I was just curious what it feels like to encounter the casual Killers like this. The ones who do stuff like giving you the hatch/opening the door or very obviously giving up "tunneling" opportunities even though the unhooker was dumb enough to leave his friend out to dry, etc. I've never seen a Survivor give the Killer hooks or kills after all.
I don't know, guys. I am so tired, but I can't sleep.
There is nothing wrong with this, there is Nothing Wrong with Casual Killers. If someone is unhappy about it do your gens and leave, gets your dc penalty and leave.
Sometimes a casual killer is taking a break after having an SWF team murder them, yes it happens. Sometimes they have rift stuff they need to do, they've tried to get it by playing normally, have had no luck and are now messing around to get it.
This isn't aginist the rules and can be fun, expecally for Survivors who just had 4 sweaty spirits in a row, 2 face camping bubbas and 1 nurse who proxy camps the hell out of you.
So yes, a trapper who messes around on top of the bar at Dead Dog Saloon with you is nice, a pig who let's you boop the snoot and then let's you be is fun, a ghost face playing tag with you and the rest of the team is great. And sometimes a needed break
Sorry all that happened last night and I'm still grateful to all my fun Killers.
-
But...but I actually enjoy thinking I got all the totems cause I run Detectives Hunch only to realize I missed one and they have NOED. If done right I can still find it and save the day.
Also the screaming of my teams mate cause I missed one makes me laugh and gives me an excuse to tell them to run the perk
-
Sorry, I'm more then likely one of the people making the totem cleansing hard, I run detective's hunch and go for totems hard due to getting NOED and Devour Hope almost every game.
As for this challenge, took me about 6 games, but running unbreakable definitely helped, so did the slugging Bubba who was pissed I got back up. This one took the longest for me out of the normal challenges. We aren't going to talking about how long it took to do the red Glyph ones, but if your having trouble with that indoor maps really help
-
Hehe, as a Susie main I will go with this

What is it with people thinking Bubba's camp? The last time I got rev-camped by a Bubba for no reason was like over two months ago. Bubba's in my experience are almost always chill.
I want chill Bubba's, you need to share. In the last 7 days of playing only one was cool. The rest tunneled and face camped. One was a lvl one killer and he was the worst.
Would rather play against any other killer.
-
I'm learning to play Jeff, that man is a bear and the killers can see him anywhere on the map he's so tall, but next to Quentin, he's my man
-
I don't know if anyone has already pointed this out but they could be forcing the vertical survivor pictures because there are a decent amount of shooters, Borderlands for example, and single player games, where the companion icons are vertical and in the top left hand corner.
They could have thought it would be a popular move and bring in more people or something stupid like that. However those games are designed for a hud like that. This game isn't as the backlash shows.
Seems a lot of the changes they making is geared towards bringing in new people, not keeping the player base they already have
Thought I might throw that out there
-
Spawn points are super wonky right now. Had two matches last night where someone put down an offering to have the survivors spawn together and well, Everyone spawned together, including the killer. You can bet Bubba and Huntress took advantage of that
Otherwise at least one of my team mates spawned almost on top of the killer 4 out of 10 matches where that offering wasn't involved so.....
-
Played Pig yesterday, brown add ons, no hexs, nothing special.
Games starts Steve is right there and obviously wants me to chase him, not going to happen, so I crouch and find the Nancy, down her, go to put the mask on and she disconnects, we aren't even a minute into the game.
Steve shows up again, I humor him and give chase for a minute before I spot the Laurie, go, down her, put the mask on, hook her, crouch and go look for Steve or the Claudette. Laurie kills herself.
From where I was I could see Steve was almost there, we are maybe 4 minutes into the match and they just screwed over their team.
I went ahead and just chased the Steve to the his little hearts content until the Claudette showed up and they made it clear they would like to farm now. Good time was had and they escaped.
But seriously people who just don't like the killer, the map, getting down quickly, you know the game in general. Maybe you should find another game, or better maybe go find a nice single player game where you controll all the choices, cause games like this, they may not be for you
-
There is nothing wrong with farming. People who claim it takes the game hostage or is just no fun well... they can finish the gens and go play waiting simulator again.
This game has a horrible grind and some of the tasks in the rift can just be to much sometimes expecally if your not toxic or don't play the rifts chosen killer that often if at all. (Blight, Spirit or Hag)
Now I'm not saying I want to farm all the time. I don't, but it is nice sometimes to be able to farm after several hard matches in a row or when your struggling to finish a rift challenge
Heck if not for a really nice Legion and Ghost face killers who Understood my friend needed to complete the newest flashlight rift challenge I think she would have been stuck on that for several more days because she doesn't want to chase killers down being toxic with a flashlight.
So, thank you to all the farming killers who help survivors get their rifts done and thank you to the survivors who help the killers too.

The thing is, I don't think anyone really cares about that. We have, what, 20 survivors? All anyone really plays are the original 6, with the occasional Kate, Feng, Ace, and Bill. How many Zarina mains do you know? How many Jane mains? How many Jeff mains? What about Laurie Strode or any of the other licensed characters other than Cheryl?
Just had to respond to this one cause you make a really good point. But I main Quentin, Yu and Fang, my friend mains Jane, Zarina and Felix so.... that counts for something right lol
-
What exactly do you consider crutch perks other then dead hard, adrenaline, ds, OoO?
I don't use any of those myself, what I run depends on my tome challenge or how I'm feeling. Lately though detectives hunch and wake up have been getting a lot of use. Head on because I have to do a lot of stun the killer challenges and self heal if I'm solo queing because a lot of team mates don't have time to stop and heal you, though I find myself not using it even when it is equipped

Although I would not report farming, I do think it may be breaking dbd rules.?
Not sure, but again, idc enough to report it.
Just be careful.
Farming isn't against the rules, its not taking the game hostage because the survivors can just finish the gens and go or the killer can kill the survivors if one side doesn't want to farm.
As for farming itself I don't see anything wrong with it as a survivor or a killer, hell half the time it helps me to get rift things done when playing either side and as a killer I do my best to make sure the survivors meet their goals.
I enjoy the game regularly but after several sweaty killers who face camp, Bubba, several games in a row a farming killer is nice.
Also as a killer when I decide to farm and the group playing with me gets it and goes along with it I make sure we leave with as many blood points as possible. I track hooks so no one dies and people get safe unhooks, I lead them to chests and totems, I chase, I make sure we have a good time, but I will never force people to farm, it is always their choice.
-
I'm not a fan of what just happened to Legion, but as a Legion main I tested out the bug, nerf, whatever we are calling it now, yesterday and out of 5 matches I got 4k in 3 of them.
I struggled with the larger maps because the survivors were able to spread out better and I just couldn't cover the distances the way I'm use to with FF, but other then an amazing Cherly who looped my ass super hard I didn't really see to much of an issue here.
I would mind a bit of a rework or even a buff to certain add ons, but since I didn't get to play original Legion I don't have any complaints about how they are now. I just hope this bug gets fixed soon.

I like farming killers, expecally when I'm trying to do a particularly difficult challenge and I've had 10 sweaty killers in a row and its taking way to long to complete.
Also some of the killers who want to farm end up doing super silly cute things that my friend and I love to watch. Love Ghostfaces, Pigs and Plagues who want to farm, they are the best. Farming Bubba's can leave however as they turn out to be a lie and we all end up killed

toxic post chat is never forgivable, but as far as the "you bring a key? I'll make you pay" mentality goes... yeah, killers can't be blamed about that.
I don't blame the killer for bringing a mori, the end game chat however was ridiculous and he really didn't believe that there was a rift challenge to use the hatch, which surprises me for a rank 1 killer, but what can you do.
-
@Wooden_Enthusiasm said:
I highly recommend using left behind or looking for it during egc some killers myself included really do not like keys and bring moris or franklins or both specifically to get rid of them since they kind of ruin the game a bit
I don't blaim killers for bringing mori's, my buddy and I took bets on how many times we would get killed before we finished this challenge so I count us lucky to get it done on our second try.
-
I feel tunneling is very viable as a killer, expecally if you have to do rift stuff and I say this as a someone who plays 50/50 killer survivor.
Face Camping on the other hand I really don't feel like there's a need for expecally on Bubba, Nurse or the Spirit and lately those killers have been face camping my little group the most.
Okay admittedly Bubba's always face camp, maybe they aren't viable any other way, but high mobility killers just don't have an excuse to face camp.
-
I don't understand people who do things like that.
Loaded into a game with a friend, had the Bill disconnect right off and the forth person, a Kate with Bonded, chase my friend and I around the map doing everything she could to draw the killer to us or try tobody block us in. Refused to let us do totems or even attempt gens, would jump on our gens and miss skill checks to set us back.
My friend and I, upon the killer finally showing up, ran to the Wraith and hid behind him, confused the poor guy so bad, he finally got it when he realized the Kate was chasing down which ever one of us he wasn't on and killed her and then let us farm and leave.
She was so pissed he ruined her fun and didn't kill us instead of her. It was great.
Sad part my friend was streaming at the time clipped and sent that in and we have never heard anything back.

I haven't played since last Saturday. If you run into a "princess of puke", let them puke on you ;)
My friend and I always let the Plague puke on us. Sometimes they get super confused and sometimes they have fun with us. Its like booping the snoot for Pig or Max and dancing with Ghost Face. Best things ever!!!

The best way to de-rank without hurting your team is to take a break from the game and let Rank reset do it’s job.
Lastly what do you mean “Xbox or in game chat”?
I would wait it out, but we bought the new rift and that would make it even more of a grind.
The killers will either say good game, or give us advice on how to better play against them, or if we were memeing, joke with us in the in game chat or message me directly on Xbox. Does that make sense, not sure how else to explain it
-
I don't use those perks, but my friend does. Main difference I've seen is the killer mains we've gone against more then twice will slug her and leave her on the ground coming back to check to see if she got up and slug her back down if she does when they are right there.
As for me, those same killers know I don't run those and so will hook me right away. They know if they leave me I will crawl away and either find help or bleed out on the other side of the map from where they downed me.
-
Hey, a silent pyramid head coming up on you unexpectedly still makes my friends and I shout.
-
Congrats!!!
Side note, I'm pretty sure your the nurse that murdered my group last night lol.
Seriously though, congrats and good work, nurse mains are my fav
-
Depends on what challenge I'm doing but I love when Killers want to farm and play around, expecally Ghost face, Pig and Hillbilly, they are adorable and I love them.
Also Amanda's and Billy's who are farming are more likely to let you boop the snoot and thats the best.
Leatherface is the only one I really don't enjoy farming with, one they freak me out, two half the time they turn on us and we end up dead anyways.
-
I main Legion when I do play killer and I don't really run into a lot of issues with him, unless I get a SWF hit squad I can normally get at least 2 kills with him, often I get 4k.
Their mildly easy to learn, personally fun to play and often times underestimated by survivors.
Are there better killers? Yes. Are their worst killers, definitely, but in the end its about what you enjoy doing and who you enjoy playing
Need to add I never played old Legion Ive only been playing DBD for a few months
-
As someone who mainly plays survivor I love going against the nurse. With her my group actually has to be careful, we have to plan better knowing if they are a good nurse we are dead, if their halfway decent and we make a mistake we are dead.
If they are new or struggling okay we've got this but only to a point, because again even a terrible nurse can get you if you screw up. We don't feel this way about many killers.
I have never seen the nurse on a map and gone, okay we've got this business as usual, so and so loop them, Ive got gens, so and so help the solo que player. I've also never gone, oh its the nurse, we're done, try your hardest, but we already lost this (cough *Spirit* cough). Shes middle ground for my group and we love her.
Also we've pallet stuned her, looped her and countered her, it just takes time and practice coming across a nurse who's obviously new and farming with them so they and you learn. It takes custom matches with friends and playing against people who know what their doing.
We still get murdered by a good nurse, but unless we do something stupid, like last night, my friends and I lost a round in 2 minutes to a nurse because mistakes were made, we can knock out a decent amount of the gens and sometimes even escape.
So personally I love her. I'm glad she's in the game, she's unique and I'm glad we have people who took the time to learn to play her.
-
I had to let the survivors know I was a friendly blight and they let me do it. Totally got I was doing a challenge and gave me pitty, would not have gotten it done otherwise.
The struggle is real on this one
-
Your gonna get hate no matter what you do, I've had the same thing happen to me and my friend.
We weren't fast enough on a save, my friend was crouching, nevermind the killer was right there, they thought I was to close to a door for several minutes, generator anyone? I didn't spend the whole match looking for a hex totem they were sure was there, it wasn't.
When a game doesn't go the way they think it should, some people can't help themselves. They have to spread the hate.
Sorry you ran into that
-
When I play killer I'm all for someone body blocking me, but if they are being a prick about it you better believe I'm face camping till they are dead so shrugs
As a survivor I don't do it, one because I play killer so I know how frustrating that can be, two my team mates give me so much crap about it if I do it on accident. They would kill me if I did it on purpose.
-
I got just the cosmetic since I had the dlc but my friend and my husband each got both
-
Thank you, I had completely missed it
-
Legion, I love playing as Susie in the cute pink hoodie. I rock it out with them when actually trying and not just needing to do rift stuff.

The thing is it's just not okay that 75% of matches as a killer I get to hook the first survivor when there are only 2 or 2 and a half gens to be repaired. Rushes are unbelievable. There are too many pallets. Way to more. And yes, git gud and all that but that ain't the problem. I've been playing this game A LOT for the past 3 years and believe me, I'm good enough. The point is against looping survs with friends there's just so much you can do. It's just the way the game is right now. You can be very efficient downing a survivor considering all the resources that they have that 75% of the time they'll rush the ######### outta you. So basically face camp is like saying "no, i won't be your clown to be laughed and tea bagged at just because the devs have spoiled you way too much". Then they usually get cocky enough to come and try the save. They stop rushing just because it's way tastier to them to try and sneak a save in front of your face. The poor kids thing they can rush and escape because they are actually good, not because of the state of the game. Then they usually manage to rescue but that who saved will be hooked for sure and on and on. Facecamping is, essentially, a very effective way to actually make some decent points instead of being bullied and getting 13k per match.
About the hitting on the hook, I guess it's just anger release and a way to assert power over the survivor that minutes ago was just teabagging and bullying at you.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1722034#Comment_1722034
No, becuase I actually don't care.
But, But I don't tea bag or bully, at worst my husband and our friend may have to do flashlight stuff for the rift which usually means we end up somewhere on the map having a rave party and using up the flashlight while spinning in circles and being weird.
Confused the hell out of a Ghost Face once who actually asked what the hell was that game at the end lol
I get why you face camp, doesn't mean I won't ######### at my friends over the mic depending on which killer your playing cause some of them I don't feel need to camp, but having gone against swf death squads as a killer or watching them harass a killer while solo queuing it I do get it.
And yes I am one of those people who will try a save when the killer is face camping just for the hell of it. I know I'm going down but I'm doing it my way lol.
I don't know if you can tell but I don't take this game seriously at all, if I did my little group and I would have quit this game a long time ago

I don't know, honestly. I would think of Bubba of course but it ain't that fun 'cause survs won't even dare to try a rescue on the first place if it's him. I don't ever run Insidous, I'm not trying to catch 'em off guard or anything. To me, facecamp is all about making an statement.
What Statement are you making? I'm honestly curious now lol
But since your taking questions why do killers hit survivors already on the hook? Not once but multiple times. My friend and I are trying to figure it out, but don't want to seem salty to killers in the lobby.

The developers need to figure out how to ACCURATELY penalize true disconnects. HONESTLY, I've been having network issues this whole week starting with the outlet powering my cable burning out. And then the stupid xFi box keeps losing network connections! Now, I'm at a 30min timeout because of that stupid ######### and the developers will do nothing.
What is wrong with disconnects anyways especially when stupid LEVEL 1 KILLERS ARE CAMPING AND TUNNELLING people that are/were on hooks.
What the developers really need to do is PENALIZE the KILLERS that tunnel or camp. Put a timer in that gives the hooked player chance when the killer just SITS on the hook. Or make the killer slower. MAKE THE GAME FAIR.
Don't argue with the people on the forum. They don't care why your having issues in their mind this is a case of someone ruining their game and therefore you shouldn't be allowed to play DBD or any other game. They don't care why.
We will ignore the fact that if this was happening to them they would be screaming at the top of their lungs. It's not happening to them so they don't care.
I'm sorry this is happening to you and I hope everything gets sorted out soon

Sorry this is ruining the double blood point event for you. I don't know of you play TF2, Ark or Overwatch but they have fun Halloween events going on right now if you wanna keep the mood going. Though TF2 is more a funny spooky mess, but still fun
-
Its two 5 minute penalties, two 15 minute penalties, two 30 minute penalties, then 1 hour, then 6, then 24, then 48. I don't know if it goes above that, but it does degrade after time, it just takes a while so if your game is crashing maybe take a break for about half and hour and try again so it doesn't get higher
-
Its Not worth arguing with the people here. The issue of the game crashing on the xbox upon start up isn't new, a decent amount of people are now talking about it but the only response your gonna get from half the people here is its your fault stop ruining MY game go play something else. They don't care it wasn't your fault.
I'm so sorry this happened to you. It really sucks

I'm on the Xbox and have been having the same issue. Match starts and then my xbox one x makes a noise likes its trying to summon a demon. The game freezes xbox either dies or go to the home screen and now I have a dc penalty.
Other friends are on PS4 or Xbox are having the same issue.
