Genuinely, playing Wesker now just feels so clunky and over-all leaves a bad taste in my mouth. These are the types of nerfs that lead people to hop off of lower tier killers and move on to playing S tiers like Nurse or Blight. Me personally I don't wanna play Wesker that much anymore due to these "bugs" and "features." He's lost all of his smoothness and at this point I'm seriously considering becoming a Kaneki main.
although i have played a variety of killers in this game, Wesker was the one that kept me in DbD…nowadays i just peek into media and into 2v8 for one or two games hoping for better times…was fun while it lasted, but everything comes to an end
-
i would prefer a "game health and balance" chapter instead of another "content chapter" with mediocre or unhealty perks ...quality over quantity

Unfortunately the infection allows him to do that, and with the players growing more sweaty by the year, tunneling with the hinder effect leads to wins
most times survs are down before the infecton really does anything, as with any fast killer, they are right on your heels and use the speed for the fast second down
although i see few tunneling Weskers, its more Wraiths and Blights in my games
-
I am addicted to Agitation - even without synergizing perks it helps out in situations with bad hookspread (not looking at you, Midwich) or Boil Over and Sabobuilds, speeding around with a Backback gets me hits on nearby survivors and i just like how it speeds up the whole hooking process to get me back into chase faster
-
Prestige was never a thing for me to dodge a lobby. I get bored seeing the same charakters over and over again, so if its just Neas, Megs, Fengs and Mikaelas i am more likely to skip that till i find some more variety xD
-
if it does something in that slugg scenario it speeds up the process of finding the last survivor so all can move on
-
just reported this for Lerys, 2 survivors abusing that glitch with any flashlights and any locker on this map, basically holding the killer hostage there

indeed. sometimes I do wanna just play my way. Especially if I'm working on a tome challenge, which is the only time I play survivor. And if things don't work out I probably hook suicide, because 90% of the time in solo queue I never get rescued anyway.
And it's OK that I'm worse than a bot; I'm awful at survivor, and I'm not really motivated to get better, because playing survivor in solo queue is terrible and like I said I only do it when I've run out of killer tome challenges and want to do some survivor ones.
please stick to single player games ... teamplay doesn´t seem to be your cup of tea

Kindred should definitely be basekit because it isn't making SWF overpowered (They ALREADY have discord which is miles ahead of kindred anyway) and it'll be a helpful addition to solo-queue who do need it.
I will say something that may ruffle feathers but I feel many killer players aren't as good as they'd like to think; cause they'll stomp solo-queue players who have little to no information but then get bullied by 4-man SWFs with discord coms. Base kit Kindred is a helpful way to close the gap between Solo queue and SWF; SWF already have kindred and more (Kindred only show the killer it can't compare to discord where I can say you two stay on the gen, you come for the save/organizing).
I just don't see a downside of bringing it base kit; and killer players complaining are just ones who want to continue to stomp solo queue players and then cry about SWFs.
stating SoloQ has little to no information is a hot take for me ... there is enough information that helps you in most situations if you pay attention to your surroundings (crows, cornmovement, shadows, sounds etc.) and use the HUD informations
Yes as a new player i have used kindred and i fell like this is where it helps most ... nowadays i don't use it anymore and i don't miss it.
I seldom run auraperks in general wether its on survivor or killer cause this forces me to rely on and develop my gamesense and this can't for example not be taken away from me by countermeasures from the other side.
Maybe basekit kindred without killeraura would help newer players, that is the valid point i would see to it.

Kindred as a perk isn't used to make your teammates save you or to push them to make good decisions, though.
You run Kindred so that you can make decisions about whether to leave your generator or what have you when a teammate is hooked. If you don't run Kindred you have to guess, and hope against hope that you have semi-competent teammates so you can trust the survivor HUD- because if you don't, the Meg you thought let go of her gen to go save is actually crouching in a corner and the hooked teammate hits stage 2.
It's about enabling decision making in players who want to put in that effort, it isn't about the kind of players that would ignore it in the first place anyway.
(There'd also be more variety, not less, because you don't have to sacrifice a perk slot for necessary information.)
well, thats what the HUD is for to me, that is enough in most situations, i personally don t need "perfected" information, it makes the game stale for me
(And yes i play enough SoloQ to know the dangers of a crouching Meg :D)
to the last part according variety, one can hope for the best but i highly doubt this will be the outcome, seeing the variety developing after new meta combos are introduced like MFT and Hope
-
if you run Kindred in SoloQ you already know this won´t inspire your mates to safe you most of the time :)
I don't know if i would want it, with the new Surivor HUD they already added much information and people still don't get their priorities right ( of course the injured one on dead hook should go for the save...). Mates, that pay attention to the game progress and use their brains would be something, i would appreciate more.
On the other hand i fear the game gets stale and staler with more and more features integrated basekit, it means lesser element of surprise and variety overall, (most) people would run more meta cause there is no reason not to and you have all four slots available without sacrificing much.
And most important, if the goal is to close the gap between SWF and SoloQ they will also have to buff the Killerrooster accordingly to match the changed point of balance.
-
thats not specific to wesker, any messing with F11 while playing DbD cn get some weird situations
-
omg omg omg ...it is really happening ...have been waiting for years ...
-
the off timing with the animations, screams and triggering perks like painres is really irritating ... they only mentioned, they did something about the prolonged screams on hook, maybe the other effects are a resault of spaghetti code
-
yes, i think thats how it should be
According to the feedback from my friends in custom the first obsessiontransfer in endgame from the "natural" obsession to someone else it works fine...but the following transfers the exposed/moriable just stays, even if you aren't the obsession anymore
-
It's the "race of arms" in higher MMR .
Of course you can run whichever killer you like on EU Servers on a weekend evening for fun.
But that fun can get a little onesided, if you face coordinated group after group with metabuilds and BNPs with your valiant M1 killer.
You will constantly have to play at your best and still lose a lot (and get your fair share of "the bags", ggez and other niceties) ... that doesn't feel rewarding in the long run.
So i can see why many turn towards high mobility killers or nurse to not constantly feel like being in an uphill battle they most times loose.

Youre seeing it very black and white and nothing in life is of those 2 colors alone. Tunnelling is a strat yes. Killing is the main objective of the killer so logically tunnelling makes sense yes. But think about it. Youre legit stopping someone else from playing and its miserable. And it's not like you have a chance to recuperate like other games. You get tunnelled when most vulnerable so you don't even have a chance to fight back. Tunnelling as a strat is fair, but it's not fun at all.
And remember, DBD isn't a competitive game. You get nothing from winning except bragging rights. So most people play for fun. Fun is subjective, but we all can agree that having someone actively stopping you from playing the game with limited ways way to fight back is not fun.
Tunneling doesn't stop you from playing the game, you just go next. If i had to choose between getting camped and getting tunneled, i prefer the later ... at least its active chasetime and not just dangeling from a hook...i agree, its not the funniest part of DbD to get taken out of a game by a comp blight at five or four gens, but there is worse
According to DS/BT/OTR/DH ...the many times i see survivors waste these perks by jumping in front of the killer or in a locker for funny grabgames instead of at least trying to reach a safer tile ...that is not what these perks are meant for and its literally begging for a tunnel and many killers are happy to oblige
These perks give you a chance to get away, not a guarantee, and if you use them for offensive gameplay you are free to do this but don't complain about the consequences

There's DCing left and right already, it can't get any worse removing the penalty. I feel like either the kill rates are going to shoot up from farming bots or it's going to decrease because killers are going to get bored facing bots. Either way, double edged sword.
People are still going to DC when bots come in, so what's the point? As if they don't DC already. Making the punishment harsher will only hurt the population and disincentivize people wanting to play.
It only makes sense to remove the penalty.
Making the punishment harder may get people, that can't bear the consequences of their misplays out of DbD, yes. Is that really a loss for the game and for all the others, that are willing to play full matches? I don't think so.
I consider DbD overall a "soft" PvP Game. The consequences of losing a game are minor, apart from some time to queue up and maybe an item you lose nothing. If a players mindset isn't able to cope with that, maybe PvP Games aren't their cup of tea in general.

there should be a limit to the max ping or max ping difference in a lobby ... that could help, i guess

This BS keeps happening every time I face Wesker, you are literally around the corner of an structure and still you get grabbed. I'm sick of this crap, you just magically teleport to his grasp. Like his power is not OP enough now is even unavoidable.

i guarantee you, if it was a huntress' hatchet you would have been hit too, that is ping and latency, nothing else and it probably even looked fine from the killers point of view on his screen
you simply can't put your trust to 100% in the visuals you get in this game

Almost like MMR ranges can change experiences huh?
I’ve seen 1 skull merchant in the last 3-4 days.
probably and adding daytime, region ... or its just my curse whenever i play survivor, there are maximum two Weskers to be found :>

I can tell you what needs to be done and it doesn't have anything to do with Wesker himself. They need to create more killers like him.
Killers that are fun, fair, strong and have a high skill ceiling with a decently low skill floor are always going to be popular.

Nightlight accounts for such a tiny player base… you cannot use that for stats.
I see wesker constantly, many times back to back. He probably makes up nearly half of my survivor games right now.
i put this to a test with my SWF that also was claiming to "constantly see only Weskers" , i logged our games ...turns out suddenly these hordes of Weskers didn t seem to exist anymore ...but we got a bunch of Skullmerchants and other killers all over the roster in our games the last few days

Or maybe you can just play somebody different. 0 Y'all are acting like he's the only killer available on the roster.
yeah, maybe its time to try out slugger twins, or impossible heal doctor ...hmmmm...nah, to much effort, Talbot will handle it in his usual manner

(my friends might curse me for this though ! =P)
Deal!

we should be able to trade our lobbys :D
i ll take all of your Weskers, if you take some of my Wraiths, Doctors, Clowns and Spirits

well, they fixed some minor visual bugs with him.... so, i guess, that's how they break him completely?
at this point i rather suspect its either the fix for AMN and/or the preparations for the event, where they seem to have touched pallets and windows

I've actually had an uptick of Blights. I don't mind facing them but in most cases the rest of my team gives up too fast.
well, thats what is likely to happen, if you want to run a valid chasekiller Blight and the other usual suspects are the way to go

The variety is so much better now that he's kill switched it's great, I've been seeing trappers, bubba, hags, I honestly forgot there were over 20 killers and that these killers even existed because well over half of my matches are Wesker. He's way too overplayed it makes him tedious and boring it's not the killer himself tho...
funnily enough i never got more than two or max. three Weskers a day, altough i would gladly gone in more games against him :D its either my survivor mmr or maybe the region and daytimes i played
i get it though that it can get tedious if there is no variety in your games, personally i wouldnt miss certain killers, but i go through those games anyways, if i get them
-
well time for a break for me ... no reason to play or to spend any ressources in form of time or money on this game if i can' t even spend bloodpoints on my main
