I definitely don't get why everyone thinks blight is so good. He's fast but he's so bad at short loops. I feel like once you know his weakness you can exploit it really easily.

He's good but not above A tier he slides too much to be higher. He's not meant to be strong at loops he's meant to be strong by catching up when the pallets broken

  • Even if all the killers in the game teamed up against him he'd still win. They cannot kill him by stabbing him or shooting him so i have no idea what they can do

  • How is this even unfair escaping is not hard to do lol.

I've watched the match and my conclussions are: he was playing like it was a normal match and chosed Wraith which is a bad killer against competitive teams and a hit&run build against that kind of teams are a bad choice too (two bad decisions), they aren't a bunch of randoms, they were 4 tryharders with perfectly planified builds with perks equiped for concrete tasks (for example the guy with balance landing repairing the gen in the second floor of the house) and voice coms.

Do you know why he played wraith against oracle? To see how wraith will do against the best survivors. Watch the vod please it was painful reading this

  • This list is so bad idek how you put some killers where they are but it's your list so whatever

This actually screams that he was camping and tunneling, which results in the same point spread. ss of the post game is hardly a claim for anything. I need actual undoctored video.

@OP BNPs have already been heavily nerfed. Nerfing them further, BHVR may as well just delete them all together.

Discordance and Pop, but you got a 4k and 25k.. Does not scream Genrush in the slightest.

Can't tunnel someone if they all get slugged and 1hooked. I usually record my games if I'm ready to make a video on something. Bnps are unhealthy, how is 25% of a gen in 5 seconds ok? Especially paired up with efficient smart survivors is just busted. How am i going to have a chance at getting 12 hooks against a 3man swf with 3 bnps?

The killers goal should be to try and achieve 12 hooks not 4man slug because if that was the case, it would only take 1 hook to kill them.

Not a single person has made a valid point so far against my argument

They’re not as strong as they once were. They used to be insane. They’re virtually useless now if the killer finds you as you start using it because you’re forced to stop. I’ve personally not had any issues with BNP since they were reworked. I also don’t see them a lot in my survivor lobbies. Especially not 3/4 survivors using them. So again, it’s an issue with SWF all bringing them that makes them problematic.

My points still stand that items and perks can become OP if an entire SWF is running them. But that doesn’t mean those specific items or perks need a nerf. Your screenshot is similar to the match I faced, but not the same. They could pick theirselves up an infinite amount of times so I couldn’t slug. When I left them too long on the floor and picked them up, they had Flip-Flop active. They also all brought Petrified Oak offerings. That match was doomed from the start. But I don’t think any of those perks or offerings need a nerf because SWF can abuse them.

It would be a rare occurrence to go against a team of solo players who all happened to bring BNP and split up on generators. So no, I don’t think BNP need to be removed from the game.

I also don’t care if you think I’m a good player or not. I know my skill. I’ve been playing since 2017 and I’m currently Devotion 14. I’m confident in my skills as both survivor and killer and that’s all that matters to me. Not the opinion of somebody on a forum. 😉

Well let's agree to disagree then i honestly am done talking to you on this topic, would like to see more interesting takes.

Btw if you didn't care about my opinion you wouldn't of @me. Your take wasn't even good and i still humored you for a bit.

  • @Nathan13 said:

you still 4k'd so idk why you're complaining.

  • @SalmonDean said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2237789#Comment_2237789

I still think the issue is with SWF being able to use perks and items more efficiently. Look at perks like Breakout and Saboteur. They’re not that useful for solo players, but have you ever gone against a 4-man using Breakout, Saboteur, No Mither and Flip-Flop? Because I sure have and it wasn’t fun at all lmao.

BNP aren’t that strong anymore. They used to be ridiculous. But let an entire SWF all use them and of course they’re going to appear much stronger than they actually are.

    PS_App_20210329_022527.jpeg

    I have

Solo survivors can also be efficient with bnps ik that because i play with crossplay off and play with good survivors everyday. "Bnps aren't strong anymore" 25% of a gen in a couple of seconds isn't strong? People in the forums really need to start showing gameplay because there's no way good players think 25% of a gen in 5 seconds is weak.

  • @DawnMad said:

So you are allowed to bring 2 purple addons to give you a big advantage but when survivors use a pink addon it's a problem? If those survivors were to beat you like that, they still would have if they didn't have the toolboxes and you didn't have the addons. BNP is fine, it's supposed to be strong, it's are a pink addon.

Let there be a pink item that speeds up the objective for killer ie kill survivors faster oh wait there is but they got nerfed. Why? Because survivors found it unfair to instantly die off 1st hook but by your logic it's pink so it should be that way. Bnps speed up the survivors objective with no effort at all but let a killer bring in a pre nerfed mori and it's all of a sudden unfair.

  • @SalmonDean said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2237736#Comment_2237736

If you managed to slug them all and get the 4K, what exactly is the issue? You could lose 2/3 generators before you’ve got your first hook without BNP as long as the survivors know to split up. BNP have already been nerfed.

Even if the survivors brought 4 toolboxes without add-ons and 2 Prove Thyself’s and split up in groups of 2, you’d struggle to control generator speeds without slugging. That’s not an issue with perks or items, it’s more so with SWF and how strong communication actually is in a game like DBD.

I’ve played in solo lobbies before and the killer chased me at the start of the match and 3 generators got done before he even hit me. Because people split up and did separate generators. This is why people start slugging as it makes survivors have to get off generators to pick teammates up. You just adapt your play style depending on how the survivors are choosing to play.

I really don’t think that BNP need another nerf. However, I wouldn’t be against SWF being restricted to 1-item per team. If that’s even possible to implement.

    Read my other posts

If they didn't have bnps and with the way i play wraith, i could've contested the 3 gens and possibly saved 2 from popping.

  • @SalmonDean said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2237644#Comment_2237644

I was coming to say the same thing. The highest score from the survivors was 13K. They clearly got curb stomped.

You don't get much from rushing gens into getting 4man slugged. Were they somehow supposed to get 20k?

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    I mean, you got a 4K.

And the BNP is basically the only Toolbox-Stuff which is actually somewhat worth it. And it is only the strongest Toolbox-Part, because the other things got nerfed into the ground.

12 hooks takes more skill then 4man slugging and 1 hooking them. If survivors have 3 bnps then it isn't possible to get 12 hooks. The devs clearly want killers trying to achieve 12 hooks and if not then they would make it where it only takes 1 hook to kill. This addon is unhealthy for the game clearly

"Doesn't matter if i got the 4k it's still not ok for 3 gens to pop in the first minute of the game"

But- but that's what's meant to happen?

As a killer you have no map pressure at the start of the game, yeah? Leaving 4 survivors to split up on generators. By the time you find, chase, and down someone, all of which could occur during the first minute, those 3 other survivors will have done a generator using the toolboxes you saw them load into the game with. That's just how dbd works, because after the initial hook is when you build pressure, snowball, and eventually hit the Pressure Point of No Return®.

"I had to 1 hook slug them all after 2 of them made crucial mistakes."

Which is what you're meant to do as killer??!! Capitalise on a mistake, a chink in the armour, to snowball to high hell and win the game from there. Take advantage of one, small mistake and use that momentum to swing to victory. That's literally how killer is played what do you mean?!

""it's ok if survivors have bnps because if you somehow get lucky enough to kill them that makes them balanced" thats what i get from people like you."

Okay firstly, 'People like you' that certainly could've been worded substantially better. And secondly yes actually, you still got the 4k from it, which isn't meant to be balance. So it's actually proving that it's underpowered and BNPs need a buff.

Like I said there were many Screenshots you could've used to show your point and this was not it. This ends up proving the opposite, which is ironic like I said in my original post.

I never downed the first survivor i went to the first gen that activated tinkerer and pushed that survivor off. 2 more tinkerers activated and i pushed the 3rd survivor off and let the last gen go. 3/4 survivors are injured and 2 gens done because this is clearly a 3man swf. All the injured survivors go to different parts of the map and the healthy one goes and finishes the gen at 90.

I catch 2 of the survivors at shack healing and down them both, i find the 3rd hiding in the corn and down him as well. The 4th tried saving them all but i ended up slugging them. If it were for no bnp i would of not lost 3 gens that fast and if the survivors made no mistakes and didn't give me the chance to 4man slug them, i would've lost.

If killers are meant to 1hook slug 4 survivors then why does it take 3 hooks to kill them instead of 1? 12 hooking survivors running 3 bnps is not possible if they're good especially a 3man swf. It might be possible without the bnps

  • @nursewannabe said:

I used to be a survivor main and used insta heals and bnps every time i had one

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

I mean, yeah it was probably unfun as hell, but you still got a 4k. Despite the stacked toolboxes and maybe a farm map? Idk that or Macmillan, but you still for a 4k.

So, ironically, this shows that even when survivors bring really strong things they still lose, and is (also ironically) actually supporting the notion of killer nerfs.

There are a lot of games or Screenshots you could've used to show "killer isn't as great as it could be can we nerf some of the things survivors have" but this wasn't it.

Doesn't matter if i got the 4k it's still not ok for 3 gens to pop in the first minute of the game. I had to 1 hook slug them all after 2 of them made crucial mistakes."it's ok if survivors have bnps because if you somehow get lucky enough to kill them that makes them balanced" thats what i get from people like you.

More like a planet sized building, but whatever.

He would, of course, be following Aizens orders to be in the Entities realm. Since he's in the Entities realm, it can nerf him like it did with Freddy. It would be like a mix of Freddy and PH. He, or Aizen, whatever, made a deal with it. Maybe Aizen could use survivors souls to make the Oken. And then the Entity would nerf him as he's WAY too powerful.

It can make a lot of sense if you think about how Aizen operates, what he wants, how that affects Ulquiorra, and the situations of other killers.

The entity doesn't nerf killers it makes them stronger and pyramid is so strong the entity invited him in it couldn't take him by force. But sure if they added him into the game i would never take him serious i just can't imagine him losing to pallets and tbagging survivors

  • This would not work how can a guy who can destroy cities with 1 attack lose to pallets and flashlights? Wouldn't make any sense at all

Twins huntress and slinger A tier? And wraith C tier? Crack cocaine is a really strong drug i guess

  • Love playing trickster and having to hit survivors 8 times to injure them. You put 7 knives in a survivor at shack? Well you either commit or let the laceration decay with no effort on the survivors part. The only loop trickster is good at is low wall loops and that's actually sad

  • @Raptorrotas said:

    Im really amused.

This basekit demand is soooooo much less impactful than whats constantly demanded for survivors.

There's 1 killer to 4 survivors so if you make the killer's time more enjoyable then survivors have better q times. In your mind you think survivors first = Ladies first and don't care about killer problems at all.

  • @kisfenkin said:

The only wraith games that I've seen ANY survivors escape were games where they let the last one go. The wraith mains are obviously doing this to either avoid a double pip and stay lower rank, or to fudge the numbers so BHVR doesn't see how OP he is now.

If the killer takes no effort at all and requires very good opponents for even a chance that survivors will escape, he is OP and needs a nerf. All of the other S/A/B tier killers require effort and/or skill. With the current wraith there is none of that. Oni has to charge up. Nurse has to time blinks. Spirit can't see survivors when she's fast. Wraith can loop gyms/shack and meet the survivors on the other side. Where is his downside/detriment?

He needs an ever increasing timer on his cloak/uncloak. Every time it's used add a second or two, and every time a survivor dies do the same.

    Lol no

  • @NomiNomad said:

I am a Wraith main (for now, Demo might steal that title away). I love Wraith, clearly.

He is not top 5. Wraith is very good at getting early hits and playing unsafe pallets, but other killers can do what he does but better. Blight, Nurse, Oni? Spirit? Better map mobility. Even Billy, rest his poor heart, has better mobility. And a good portion of the cast has better chase potential. He suffers from a lack of map pressure, and as long as a survivor is competent, Wraith cannot do a thing about pre-dropping unsafe pallets and long loops.

There's so much wrong in what you said and i dont feel like saying the same things right now I'll come back later when i have the energy to keep repeating myself

Yes I do, hit and run, you hit a survivor if they can get to a strong loop you leave them to find the next person which you did not. You chased them until they went down.

Yes I would agree you are better than them because they weren't good. None of them ever ran shack correctly and ran mindlessly most of the time and used DH. Like I said they were less than mediocre.

    0:28

    0:45

    1:28

    2:14

I did it 4 times in under 3 minutes but sure i never did hit and run. It's like you think you knew what hit and run was, i told you you didnt, you went to go see what it means and came back to still say i still didn't do it when i did it in the first 30 seconds

  • @MadLordJack said:

I think you may be a few patches behind in the general consensus. Now that he has both mobility and a chase power (doesn't have to play everything like a 115 killer), he's pretty decent.

Of course, all the whiney survivor mains are complaining because suddenly they can't play every single pallet the exact same way they used to agasint him, but that's because they haven't quite figured out that he's basically a reverse Blight with a little overlap: He can't play maze tiles, but junk tiles and filler pallets are automatic hits if the survivors give him control of the pallet instead of dropping it early.

In essence, he's Pig but better.

Saw some people saying he's trash even with his buffs so i dont think im behind. I wouldn't say he's pig but better more like a better ghostface

  • @Itslat3ncy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/253960/wraith-is-a-tier

Ok first off, these survivors are less than mediocre not a single one knew how to loop properly, and ran blindly whilst using DH.

Second you basically never Hit and Ran you ways chased a person and downed them within 10 tp 15 seconds because their not even remotely good at running tiles.

3rd hit and run would never work on a good team because it would take a while to get your first down and gens will fly because when you leave they'll instantly look for a gen.

Wraith is good against less than mediocre to mediocre players because they dont understand how to counter him (Look for his questionable that he's coming like sound and shimmer, and not greeding a pallet when he's uncloaking.

Wraith is high D tier against good players and A tier against bad players.

I don't think you understand what it means to hit and run. It wasn't that the survivors were bad it's that im just better then them. You placed him D tier and i have no idea how you even think that tbh it might be because you're not good with him.

  • @SeannyD115 said:

You said wraith is dangerous when the person playing him has a lot of knowledge of the game. Which I said that could be said about any killer if you invest enough time into them. So I don't think I went off topic.

That argument with trickster is the same as saying why play hillbilly when cannibal has an easier time insta downing or why play any killer other than nurse when nurse ignores looping. There are killers that are clearly better but people play the weaker ones because they like them.

Nice you ignored everything else and stuck to the last sentence. Probably best for you to do that though cause i really don't think you can say what trickster does better then other ranged killers

  • @supersonic853 said:

Blight doesnt suffer to god windows and predrop pallets. Don't wanna get lunge hit by a wraith? Just don't greed the pallet and predrop. Wraith also still has to uncloak to harm you while blight can just...hit you. Wraith may have the map pressure to make a good killer but he does not have the chase power. Also hit and run is horrible against good teams.

If survivors are predropping pallets and someone is playing hit and run wraith that's not very smart. Even if wraith has to uncloak to hit survivors he's still close enough to get a hit or a free pallet. Watch the video please it's like you just read what i said and just wanted to compare blight to wraith instead

People say the same thing about legion too. If you invest enough time into a killer you learn their strengths and weaknesses.

Tell me why i should play trickster over huntress and deathslinger or plague. Tell me why i should choose hitting survivors 8 times to finally injure them over hitting then once with huntress. This went off topic for no reason

  • @Phasmamain said:

Who said he was bad? Common consensus is he’s pretty good now.

And he’s not top 5 when he can still be looped by good survivors

Blight is top 5 and he can be looped. His playstyle is hit and run not smack a survivor and chase them through 2 jungle gyms and a safe pallet.

  • @SeannyD115 said:

You can say the same thing about any killer if the person playing them has a lot of knowledge in the game.

Not true trickster doesn't care if you have alot of knowledge he's so bad it doesn't matter. Wraith works really well with the players knowledge because of his playstyle

I hate to break it to you, but while there are some Survivors carried to the Red Ranks without the skill to be there, that is normally accomplished by playing in a SWF. A rising tide floats all boats. :) Borrowed Time isn't carrying anyone to the Red Ranks unless they also have the chops to use it properly. Relax, cut back on the coffee, and don't take it personal when people disagree with you. People disagree with me all the time; when you don't let it tilt you, the discussions are actually pretty useful.

I understand the point you "intended" to make, but you didn't really verbalize it well. Sadly, your point holds no water and indicates a profound bias. The majority of people in the Red Ranks, Killer or Survivor, worked to get there. It is unfair to them not to give credit where credit is due. None of us can tell if someone earned their Rank by their Build. Hell, I can't even tell Red Ranks from Greens anymore. Seriously, I'm stuck in matches thinking, "damn it... stupid matchmaking gave me newbs again... better throttle down." Then I get to the end and find out I was facing an all Red Rank team.

My point is that you cannot trust your assumptions with things like this. The longer you play, the better you get (well most people do). Think about your grandmother and grandfather (if they are still with us). To the much older generations, most people all look YOUNG. To a good Killer, all Survivors look the same. It takes damn near Superstars to REALLY know for certain. Food for thought.

I don't think you understand and you're talking about nonsense. Honestly making my head hurt lol dbd forums man i swear

I'm beginning to think that when killers refer to "braindead saves" they mean unhooking in the killer's face because their facecamping, as majority of my experience with BT has been that. Go after the rescuer, not the person who was unhooked.

if BT is posing that much of a problem for you then maybe you're doing something wrong.

Another person missing the point of my post. I like what bt does but at the same time it enables bad survivors to do bad saves and trade hooks when the guy just got on the hook. I like going against good survivors and i even dodge lobbies where there's a chance i think the survivors are bad. Good survivors use bt smart by not just rushing straight to the hook as soon as someone is put on one.

  • @Phasmamain said:

You know you can wait the 8 seconds and hit them again right? Not like anyone runs ds anymore

Jesus man people are missing what im trying to say. Im saying that bt used by bad survivors allows them to get to red ranks easy because of braindead saves. The perk also makes bad survivors think they're making good plays but really they're screwing over their team

  • @Moundshroud said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/253762/borrowed-time-is-such-a-brainless-perk

There is nothing wrong with Borrowed TIme. I play both Killer and Survivor. Borrowed Time exists to encourage you to hit the rescuer rather than the person being unhooked. Do I think the person with BT should lose collision for the same period of the Endurance? Yes. However, even as it stands now, the Perk is one of many tools Survivors can use to try to deal with Campers and Tunnels. If some of them use it for braindead, unsafe rescues which were not necessary, well that is on them.

That's why i said the perk is good and bad

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

Because the increased FoV also gives more information, and more information is an advantage. An advantage should take up a perk slot.

Shadowborn literally reduces the effectiveness of many survivor hiding spots.

Meanwhile survivors get free perks and information being on comms but let's ignore that and focus on how Shadowborn makes playing killer feel alot more smooth

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Absolutely none of the suggested buffs would fix his issues. Meaning that instead of making holding w weaker vs him you've just made it even stronger, because looping becomes even harder vs him.

He doesn't need buffs. He's an incredibly strong killer as is, unless you're dealing with a 4man w squad (which, let's face it, unless it's a tournament there won't be because there's always this one Nea who wants to loop you and goes down in 3 seconds for it).

His add-ons need reworks. That's all he needs for the moment in terms of strength (though a change to make his POTD easier to hit at the cost of less zoning would be nice for both killers and survivors).

Let's agree to disagree then because getting slowed down as much as he does is just stupid. I'll even take them just removing one of the times he gets slowed down either before or after the swords in the ground. Blight is a stronger killer then pyramid and he's just been receiving buff after buff so pyramid is not out of the question for buffs.

  • @DragonMasterDarren said:

i'd rather he just inflicts Torment when someone is hit by POTD, he's fine currently but the trails are kinda useless for inflicting torment since people can just crouch over them

When you're chasing someone at a loop put a little at the pallet or window and boom problem sovled.

  • @WexlerWendigo said:

He’s already a strong killer, and the only changes he needs are to his add ons which are hot garbage. The cooldown from using the sword is needed, as it can zone survivors out without the killer doing anything to earn it.

The killer isn't the only one who can bait survivors can do it as well. Holding W is his counter and survivors earn time for their team without much effort.

I mean, if you disagree then just say why and move on

His opinion should be ignored because there's so much evidence proving that he has clear counterplay but yeah let's just choose to ignore all that. Let's ignore that blight is a normal m1 killer at loops and also ignore that his power gets countered by rocks and debris.

And that is unhealthy. But Blight benefits heavily from it.

I believe a good blight has no counters and is dreadfully boring to play against.

A good oni or billy feels fair and fun most games. But Blight just irritates me.

"A good blight has no counters" if you're not gonna show gameplay, the least you could do is show us your killer and survivor rank

  • Bro what? What i just read didn't make any sense and all i got from this is " im too bad to see that blight has clear counterplay". Show me gameplay of your survivor please

Does that exist? It does. How often do you face these survivors? Once every 100 matches? You do.

Once every 100 matches you have difficulties winning. Yeah, I believe that.

How do you know i only face teams like this 1 out of every 100 games i play? You can't prove that's true or not because all you did was pick random numbers.
