I see theres some argument about the doctor.I have 1700+ hours played.
I have all killers P3 50.
Ive been rank1 on both sides dozens of times.
You can evade a good nurse if played well.
You cannot evade a good doctor. If you think you can, then you simply havent seen one.
Ive mained doc at rank1. Have you?
This is a game about hiding from the killer. You cannot hide from a good doctor. Your position is given away from the very beginning, and while its easy to snap out of it, it doesnt matter if hes chasing.
You also cannot pallet loop a good doctor, since you cannot drop a pallet when shocked, nor use items like flashlights.
If you lose them as a doc, you simply switch to treatment mode and patrol some gens. They will pop up. If they dont, and the gen is getting slowly done, then you know they are in a nearby locker.
Thus, since you can neither pallet loop nor effectively hide from a doc, hes OP. I know because I almost always get a 4K, Im a survivor main, and doc isnt even my main killer, its Myers

Again, if you think doc isnt OP, then you simply havent played a good one, or were with SWF, which can overcome anything.
I never mained Doctor, i main Nurse but i do have him P3 50, if this matters to you.
Before anything else, i belive you are far more experienced than i am with the Doctor but im also Rank 1 on both sides, currently, and in my opinion hes not even above average.

This isn't 2016... This game now is about doing gens until the killer shows up, they will find you, no matter if its Doctor or not, after that you waste as much time as possible doing loops and running pallets until the others finish the gens.
With perks like "BBQ" these days you can pretty much figure where everyone is. -
"My eyes are bleeding, I HATE THIS F@#$ sh#@ SWF BS Mother F@£§% CROUCH SPAM LOOPIN MY A$$ but hey at least i got my extra blood points."
Seems like a pretty nice idea.

Not that i care to make survivors stronger anyway, but why are all of Kate's perks meant for new players? They're terrible.- Windows Of Opportunity
See vaults and pallets until you use them then has a 40 second cooldown. (Everyone else can usually tell and know where they are on every map.) Deja Vu 3.0
- Dance With Me
When fast vaulting or leaving a locker you don't leave scratch marks for 3 seconds. 40 second cooldown. Lightweight 2.0 (can only go with quick and quiet to not be total garbage but good killers can hear your ASMR run breathing anyway.)
- Boil Over.
Struggle effects (just the effect that makes the killer sway, not the quickness of escape) is 75% better. Also makes it so killers lose 14 metres of hook aura while carrying you. (This perk will only semi but not really work on new killers who can't find hooks without auras. Also the perk is cancelled out by iron grasp which reduces sway by you guessed it. 75%
When i finally saw her perks compared to The Clown i thought it was a joke. Obviously we don't need another perk like SC DS SB or the old BT but man these are god awful.
The problem here is that survivors have so many op perks that those seem average, but they are not, they're actually pretty good.
Not everyone has 1k hours and all maps memorised, this is helpful expecially late game when most pallets are broken, gives you that extra time to plan. Imagine this scenario, you take Lithe, you will know how many pallets you have around before you have the need to cross the window and active your speed boost.
In my opinion the weakest of the 3. This perk will only work nicely combined with "stealthy"perks and a lot of potential vs Nurses, since u kinda only use the lockers to avoid the blink hit or billy chainsaw.
Amazing perk at higher ranks if you body block, this with swf will be a nightmare. Good Killers don't usually take Iron Grasp, since they nerfed sabo there is pretty much no need.
Will those replace the meta perks at the moment? Probably not, but they add room to creativity and new builds.
-
I kinda like the concept, most part but i think more perks giving out the survivors location will only give them more excuses to loop and complain instead of trying to stealth and lose the killer.
-
Doctor is op at rank 20 maybe.
In higher ranks it doesn't matter if the Doctor finds you or not, he will be looped until oblivion.Killer tier is very simple;

.Huntress

.Hillbilly

Last Year is in production for so long, i dunno... sounds shady. Being able to attack the Killer scares me a bit, F13 had that and it was full on #########.No, I've only watched videos too. Maybe, I know alphas are stripped down, but I was really turned off by it. But the trailer videos recently released look amazing...
I agree. I'm kinda iffed because of how little they've shown the entire time. With such a ... unique... style of survival horror, you'd think they'd share more about how it works. But the graphics are excellent, so we'll see I guess.
The fact that there is respawning kinda killed the vibe of last year for me. Kills the immersion.
What? Don't tell me survivors respawn...
Survivors respawn and the killer respawns as a different killer.
I'm ok with the Killer respawing, but survivors? really? that is... stupid.

Thing is I just bought this game not long ago and I love it. I don't enjoy playing survivor and the people on this forum are maybe 1% of the playerbase. If you want to reach an audience you have to do it somewhere else.I don't really find other games as joyous anymore. DbD caught my attention and I've been hooked (heh) since.
Devs, please, do not let this game die.
At this point the devs HAVE to actually the balance the game now that more Asymmetric horror games are coming soon. You have Last Year: the Nightmare coming around August and then you have Hide or Die.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ke2yDS_rKoIThe devs are smart enough to realize that if they don't fix their game that a good chunk of the Killer base will move on to something else to get their slasher game fix.
Yep. Not so sure about Last Year but Hide or Die looks promissing, keeping an eye out for that one.

Well maybe if they seperate Solo queue from SWF queue and add an option for killers to choose what they want to face.. but that would break the game xD

I've already seen a few vids where some runners were chainstunning the hunter mind-jump when he tried to climb a cliff, it was rather hilarious already.
When they're gonna introduce progress, powers and probably a few nerfs, the game may have a very difference visage.
They already did, Hunter got nerfed and so did turrets and other small mechanics.
Its a new game and abusing flaws like the stun dart is part of the beta process, so it gets fixed before launch. If you ignore all that and look at the core, you see that the Hunter is intimidating because of its power and i think we need that here.
Both games are very different tho.
Ddb is about memes, and survivors are not supposed to fully cooperate. The fact they do, especially powered by SWF and voicecom, provoed to be an issue.
Deathgarden, however, is a full team game. If you do not cooperate, you just die in a matter of minutes. In essence, both games are very different, which requires a different killer ofc.
I don't agree and i think both games are more similar than you think.
What you said fully describes Friday the 13th for me, memes and people not giving a damn about others. -

You're missing the point of the post, most of you are, maybe it's my fault since i ranted a lot.
The point is, our Killers need to be buffed in order to be intimidating and the fear factor will flourish.
(except the Nurse, she is scary in the right hands) -

And why did we get that feeling? Because the Hunter there can literally destroy you, his presence is intimidating. I think we need that in DBD, this is supposed to be an Horror game and what is Horror without fear? Nothing.
Or maybe it's because Deathgarden is a new game with unfamiliar mechanics that you were still trying to figure out. A few weeks later and you'll look at both the Hunters and Killers the same. Once you know how to properly compete, the horror element is going to fade. Just look at F13.
Come on, F13 was never scary that game is a comedy.
The mechanics are familiar, core is the same as DBD but sure your point is debatable but valid. -

Yes, certain killers need buffs, yes some survivor perks could use a nerf, yes there are toxic survivors. But the exact opposite could be said as well. Nurse needs a nerf, Hillbilly's instant chainsaw is OP, Doctor with the right perks and add ons is a hellish experience. There are plenty of toxic killers who body block survivors in the basement and go AFK, who hard camp for no other reason than to ensure a particular survivor gets no BP, etc. There are survivors and killers who team up to farm randoms.
Stop acting like killers and survivors are two separate classes of people. Stop whining about how one side or the other has it so hard and being teabagged or called a noob or being camped and hit on the hook is just so hurtful. It's a game, if you choose to take it seriously that's on you. If you have no motivation to play then don't.
Killers and survivors mains ARE two seperate kinds of people. I doubt, with all honesty, that killer mains go play as survivors and spam crouch on pallet loops and type "gg ez, get gud" in the end, because they know how unbalanced the game is at the moment.
What do you mean by whinning? Because people know how broken the game is in higher ranks so they come to the Official forum of the game and try to be heard? You sound like the typical rank 20-10 survivor that spam downvote on people that care about balance. Clueless.
Fun facts just for you:
- Only 5% of the player base is really good with Nurse.
- There is no Instant Chainsaw.
If you think the Doctor is an "hellish" experience for survivors, go play Freddy vs swf at Rank 1. Oh boy you're in for a ride!
You missed his entire point.
Killers can be toxic too. Take some accountability and stop acting like one group is the victim.
Victim and accountability? People were talking about balance of the game. I dont care about who is the coolest group on the block.
I still find it hilarious that some people assume i main Killer. -

Love it except a one thing : Power portion, no debuffs to Survivors while possessed. As creative as that is, they would know to avoid other Survivors. You’d be waiting for an accidental encounter, which would be rare when they are on alert someone is possessed. In case of SWF, encounters would be nearly never as they would constantly relay each other’s positions to each other, never allowing for an encounter.I agree! I miss being scared in DBD xD

Not sure if they are supposed to "escape" for that long, the Killer is supposed to get you that is why its 4v1 and you don't die instantly on a hook.
The survivors have to escape. The killer has to kill. Whoever does it better wins. What do you mean the survivors are not supposed to escape?
You're supposed to escape in the end, true. We were talking about pallet looping, there you're just delaying time until others finish the gens, what i meant is that you're not supposed to delay for that long just by yourself.
Before pallet looping was meta, survivors had to be good, now you can just loop. -

You're right, i made this post out of frustration and i was wrong to do so. Long day playing vs swf and this happens. My bad.

If you think that game was bad, wait until you play vs good survivors...
Just imagine everytime u break a pallet or jump a window u get blinded, feng wasted 1 pallet and she could have looped you at least 1 more minute.and chill dude... far too emotional over something killers face everyday.
-
I agree, and terror radious circus sound would be nice too!
-
I will tell you guys how i feel,
I voted Money and have all the DLCs before this one.Altho, i feel like im only paying for the new perks... since the rest looks to me like, weak killer, recycled map, no terror radious sound... no issues fixed, underwhelming.

It's not OP, you can still loop, like in the Macmillian Estate in the Pit, you can go from the window to the door and do the full loop.
It lasts 16 secs, thats nothing for someone that knows the map... Its just good vs people that walk randomly. -
"pretty good job so far" in a good way this time xD
-
For an average player/new comers:
1- Doctor - easy to track survivors and semi pallet counter if you are good shocking
2- Leatherface - insane speed with the chainsaw and pretty much garanteed kills on open space, easy to play
3- Huntress - all round good killer, semi counter to looping, requires a bit of aimFor veterans:
1- Nurse
2- Huntress
3- BillyHigher skill cap Killers, if you master these you will be insane since Nurse and Huntress can counter the current meta.
Worst Killer: Freddy
-
No Mitter at the moment is just for fun in my perspective, you lose so much and gain so little.
Calm Spirit falls in the same cathegory, why take it when there are so many better. -

Nobody said looping was an automatic win, at least i didn't.I agree with most things you said untill the looping part. You don't have to loop, just do any of the alternatives i said above and you should be fine.
If you're in a Nightmare, find a team member or just fail a skill check, its that simple and BOOM freddy has to do everything all over again just to grab someone. You can't afford to find other members if you're being chased by Freddy. You have to keep away from them so they can rush the generators without being slow downed by Freddy
You can't fail a skill-check if your being chased being chased by Freddy if you don't have Self-Care. If you do, fair enough, however looping is much more efficient against him then relying on RNG.
The only other alternative you've listed to counter Freddy is to rush the generators. Survivors can't rush the generators if the team can't distract the Nightmare long enough for them to complete the generators.
Everything in there is debatable, and so is what i said.
I agree with you that the gameplay needs to change depending on the killer but i also stand by what i said, pallet looping isn't the answer, there are other alternatives.
Pallet looping is effective vs Killers? Yes! Is it fair for the killer? No.
Face camping/tunneling is effective vs Survivors? Yes! Is it fair for the survivors? No.There is something called respect, not abusing things that might ruin the fun for others, just like in some games u don't drink potions in duels. Hard to explain, but i think you get the message.
I refuse doing pallet loops, using DS, face camping and tunnening, but its my way of playing i respect yours.

Yes, pallet looping always existed.
Why is it meta?
Is it easier to run around in circles like a monkey or try 360s, jump a window and then blind, use sprint burst and then urban evasion to stealth away, knowing the map so u can run a few pallets and gain time?Pallet looping is just the easy way out, anyone can do it and it doesn't require any effort or skill, and thats why the majority that doesn't even try to use other methods or perk combinations abuse it.
You mentioned The Nightmare before, easely one of the worst killers in DBD at the moment.
You want to know how to counter him without looping like a monkey? rush gens, freddy requires a lot of time to setup.Which is why looping shouldn't be an automatic win.
You said the Nightmare takes a lot of time to setup. You're forgetting though matches against the Nightmare are naturally longer thanks to his power (not including perks).
I'm also aware the Nightmare is easily the worst killer in DBD. But this is a killer you cannot juke, since he'll always go back to chasing you, a killer you cannot successfully stealth since he's invisible when he doesn't find you at first and then is fully aware of you position once he does.
Survivors are forced to play in a particular style against him (kinda like the Nurse). You have to loop him to buy time for your team so they can rush generators.
Nobody said looping was an automatic win, at least i didn't.

Pallet looping sucks because its the most effective and optimal option. However people are forgetting that it always existed in this game, it was just harder to pull off before. It should still be option but it shouldn't be an automatic win.
Yeah, it so existed all that time that it was never a problem until the patch 1.4 era when it was created : P
Lol, it did exist.
Just because it wasn't as meta as it is now doesn't mean it didn't exist back then. Why else would the killers run Brutal Strength before the buff in base pallet breaking speed?

I agree with most things said above.
BBQ is easy to read by the killers movement and therefor easy to counter.
Hex Ruin is just there to avoid people from rushing gens thus gaining some extra time for the killer. Not op at all, since the positioning of the totem seems to be completely random, it will either save your day or just be easy 1k points for the survivors and 1 less perk in the entire match. -

I just did 4 games in a row vs SWF 1 loops me all day the others rush gens, my eyes are bleeding.I agree with most things said above, there has to be a change.
Looping isnt fun but as a survivor you want to live and that means not getting hit. So ofcourse people would tend to looping if that is what it takes to survive. Why purposely lower your chances of survival?
And face camping and tunnel vision increases your chance of killing. Why does the community hate it? Because its a cheap way of winning, abusing of what is somewhat mechanically "broken".
In theory what you said is right but in game its a different story.
Reach rank 1 Killer and play vs SWF, i promise you, your opinion will change. Its not about survival its abusing a mechanic that makes most killers a living joke, apart from Nurse and Huntress.
Except face camping isn’t the only option...you could also search for kills. Thing with survivor chases is, if the killer is competent, or a anti stealth killer; YOU WILL NOT LOSE HIM. You can easily get kills without camping.
And pallet looping isn't the only option aswell. Buddy, the killer IS supposed to get you eventually or else this game wouldn't make sense, that is why there are 4 survivors and multiple chances to be saved.
Either we aren't playing the same game or you never faced rank 1 survivors.
