  • Please fix this, it's happening all the time for the past 4 or 5 weeks.

  • "More gore and actually having the state of character models be affected and altered by a memento mori instead of killer weapons just clipping through the bodies"

This to me is one of the most disappointing, immersion breaking things in this game. I hope it gets addressed in the graphical update otherwise it will never get addressed. All the sharp objects and ripping just going through the characters looks terrible and honestly extremely outdated. But to be fair, I remember thinking that graphically this game looked outdated even 4 years ago. It doesn't even look like it was developed in Unreal Engine 4

  • ThereIsNoCowLevel

  • Spot on with Operation Health and Operation Rework. I'd rather skip a dlc or two, or three just to focus on ironing out those things.

I would also add that the game has too many perks now, and it just feels like they're being added in just for the sake of it, which means more code to manage and susceptible to causing new bugs and break other things. I think the game needs both a perk rework and a purge, and I would consider each killer/survivor dlc to come with 1 good perk each, not 3. Make each perk really count and thus making very different (but all viable) builds instead of all the cookie cutter builds we have now.

This game already has a massive repertoire of characters, it would do wonders to the longevity of the game to focus on fixing it for 3 to 6 months. Unfortunately I don't think the devs think long term...

The game also needs a casual unranked more for people to goof around, if there's no pressure to pip or frustration for depipping, than I'm willing to bet a lot of people would play that mode.

Honestly I love the expectation of finding out who the next killer will be, but I'm full of perks up to my eyeballs. Just stop.

  • "a combined offering/item pool for survivors"

Now that would be the dream.

It's ridicoulus. 3 months ago, regardless of the time, it took me only 30 seconds in red ranks for survivor or killer to find a game. Now i need the minimum of 5 minutes for killer and 3 mins for survivor with MORE PLAYERS ONLINE THAN EVER BEFORE.

What the ######### is going on? The queue time is supposed to go down with more players online.

Hilarious that there's more players than ever and yet the matchmaking is - quite literally - tossing rank 1's and rank 20's together like some sort of fruit salad.

  • I posted this elsewhere a few days ago, pardon the repeat if you've seen it already.

In the new Silent Hill Map, in one of the main hallways there was the hatch. I (the killer) see the last remaining survivor, Cheryl, at the other end of this hallway, we're both at an equal distance from the hatch, we stop for a moment realising the situation, it was like a wild west showdown at high noon.

After a moment's pause we both break running towards the hatch! Who will get there first! Just as we were both about to reach it, Cheryl uses Dead Hard and dashes forward, jumping right in...

...into the f&%^$£@ locker next to the hatch.

I was going to close the hatch while this poor man was in the locker for a moment, probably cursing this game. But then I stopped myself, stared at the lockers and tought... nah, go ahead, you're alright, I won't deny you this. Cheryl jumps out of her locker and right into the hatch...

"Did you intended to do that mate?" I ask in chat.

"HAHAHAHA, NO! THAT F@%&**^$ locker man! THANKS SO MUCH!

Felt nice, as he was struggling through the match.

Hei devs, just dropping these 3 turds in here, kkthzbye.

  • I love the Witch, but I think we kinda already have the spirit fulfilling the role. Smokers are (roughly) fulfilled by the Gunslinger, Can't do Boomer as having the killer blow himself up dead would be, well, inefficient.

The Jokey idea sounds mad, I like it. But honestly, having a tank smack you and you end up 10 meters away would be hilarious. Smashing gens and pallets with his fists, gorgeous. Have him pick up a pallet you just dropped and yeeet it at your face, oh the possibilities!

  • Perk: Karen

Performing repairs on 4/3/2 generators up to 100% and an additional generator up to 50% will allow you to call the Entity Manager of the current map. The Entity will profusely apologise for the inconvenience caused, will provide you with 25% extra blood points in the objective category, and will offer a discount on your next generator. The next generator you fix will automatically repair to 50%. The Managing Entity will also open a safe portal for you to leave the game and abandon your 'dumpster-fire' of a "team" to their own devices.

I’m trying to make survivor take the crown to have fun with the event because they have to escape to have it i end up with t-bag and flashlight !!

You need to play the game for you, not them. People often resent that you didn't provide a challenge or played as intended.

  • It's pretty inane that I get to be boosted by red ranks as a rank 10 surv, and that I can get absolutely destroyed by purple and red ranks as a rank 17 /18 killer.

I actually actively avoid ranking as a killer these days as I have so much more fun and cool interactions with rank <17 survivors.

And you're right, most casual/new killers will just quit the game without posting this feedback because honestly who can be arsed?

It's hilarious that a game that uses ranks doesn't actually enforce their own ranking system, like, what's the point of ranks then?

  • Unpopular opinion: my second favourite after Kate is Nea, without the stupid beanie hat.

Bill is my favourite male, because Bill. And Jeff is like a Keanu Reeves and he's "breathtaking".

Meg just looks... simple. Poor lassie.

  • I've been getting completely obnoxious survivors, and I've been tunneled, moried 1st hook, camped to oblivion and back. The game is balanced for once, at least where duche-baggery is concerned. But hei, we'll eventually have stacking Gateaus at some point, so that's nice...

I stopped reading as soon as you said tunnelling and camping is cheating.

    It isn't.

You know, just like cheating on your wife isn't really cheating, those are all social constructs and not being open minded bro; "it was just sex, it didn't mean anything" but in the end it still makes you look like an inconsiderate pr*ck. That kind of "not cheating"?

This isn’t an example of entitlement to me. An example of entitlement was BHVR said we’d be getting a 1.5x blood rush for three weeks, which we got, and people asked for more. That was entitlement.

This example BHVR said we’d be getting a more common, cheaper bloody party streamer like years past, and it is not working as intended. They hyped us for the event for a long time. Advertised it. I would like to know if it’s going to be fixed and if there’s an additional reward like extending the event.

The before example they came through and it wasn’t ‘enough’. This time they didn’t come through on their word after a lot of riling up. I am also disappointed because these are days lost on a timed event.

Some players are suggesting banking these but that assumes everyone will bank them for a later agreed upon time to use them. That won’t happen. If I bank them for weeks later, I’ll just have a 104% offering and likely one of a few players to be using them.

The idea here was multiple players would have a large accumulated supply with more to come and easily get 120 to 150k blood points a match. Maybe even more. I hope they hotfix it sooner than later.

If you find playing a game stressful, you probably shouldnt play it.

Also, you say that it's fun but thats just you. It's "stressful" trying to get a hook resque against camping killers, it's "stressful" trying to end a chase with a tunnelling killer. It is "stressfull" when self-absorbed, entitled killer mains like you don't actually think about what the expierience is like for the other half of the game. If people like you continue to play like this all the time then there isnt going to be an opposition to facecamp. I understand that survivors can be toxic and I don't mind if you facecamp and tunnel those kinds of survivors because I know what it's like to get angry at them and they are excpecting that when they decide that thats how they wanna play but when you do it to everyone is when it gets a bit dicey.

I still can't believe when killers complain about toxicity in the survivor community when people like you are playing.

Can I just say these are all excellent points. By all means be an ass to ass survivors, but don't carpet blank everyone as an ass. Specially at low ranks, some people don't even know or realise how to be asses.

  • I'll always remember the one where a rank 4 survivor called me a "bad killer" when I was rank 18. I told her "of course I'm bad, I'm rank 18!" I think she was salty since I hook camped her for chain flashlighting me. I mean, if you're gonna be a d*ck survivor I'll be a d*ck killer.

    (I main survivor btw)

  • A mix of both in my opinion. Survivors here seem very salty and biased towards their side (like fresh out of a bad game) and killers are - I think - extremely defensive about their position, and also biased. There's a divisive "us versus them" sub-culture in here which doesn't end well in public matches.

  • I adapt, like mentioned by others, if a survivor is flashlight stunning me like 3 times (why on earth doesn't this have diminishing returns?) and infinite looping me I will focus down that tw*t and camp him dead, the others can finish the game any way they want, I won't care about them.

If a killer is camping/tunneling, assuming I'm not the one being tunneled first then I stealth and gen the whole game, loop him if he finds me.

There are d*cks on both sides of the argument, but I guess the point is you don't HAVE to start each game as a d*ck, but you can adapt to one by becoming one and no one can judge you for it.

  • Some comments in here, jesus... You complain about your toxic community when you're part of the problem. You don't debate or argument, you just go "deal with it, meh!"

People are so blinded to their side they can't be objective about anything.

  • While technically not cheating it's a scummy way to play, however the blame doesn't fall completely on the killers.

So, I see this dbd as a 5 man team-play game, killer included. The problem is that more often than not the 5th player, the killer or a survivor, is absolutely selfish (and rightly so, keep reading) in his mission towards his objectives. In order to have a good match the end goal here for the entire team (of 5) is to collect as many BP as possible and - if that's their thing - work towards rank up. Everyone in that game is on the same boat whether you accept this or not.

So when a killer decides to tunnel someone in the first 4-5 minutes of a match, that killer is denying that player a reasonably enjoyable experience by not allowing him to leave the match with a reasonable amount of BP, not even 5k which is a very low bar request. In my personal opinion that's despicable because you're on the same match for the same objective, and that's what's important to remember here, the objective is BP's, which will help you rank up whether you finish your main objective or not (kill'em all / survive).

For me a camping/tunneling killer is a team-mate gone rogue. Yet they are entitled to do so, and this falls squarely into the lap of the developers as they've always promoted the message of "us versus them", while at the same time they undermine their own message with "conditions" of what is considered fair play in their badges. Stuff like you loose BP if you're not X amount of meters away from the hook, Mori's provide less BP, etc.

As a developer you can't say 'yes to fairplay' while at the same time saying yes to denying someone a reasonable match (by saying camping is fine), and saying 'that's just the way it is' is part of the problem. "Camping is fine for us but hei; here's a bunch of deterrents on our badges to make killers reconsider". So is it fine or not?

Most people playing this game casually at low ranks aren't going to read the badge descriptions to maximize fair play and BP outcomes, they just wanna kill people, and the most efficient way if one guy at a time, get rid of him/her and move on to the next. So to play devil's advocate here for a moment, it's not the killer's fault of playing unfairly to survivors when the devs and the game actively suggest the best and most efficient way of killing is camping/tunneling, on low ranks anyway. It works, so people do it, of course they do.

Saying that - and going back to the team of 5 argument - I am not saying that on the occasions that you do get the selfish 5th player, that it's always the killer, it isn't. Killers can get bullied by a team of try hards with flashlights and/or get gen rushed with Brand New Part. And that's completely selfish by denying the killer their BP.

But I think the difference here is how often Gen-rush happens compared to how often camping/tunneling happens. With the later happening alot more often to many people as there are more people in low ranks, and the former only happening to killers playing against purple and red survivor ranks. So you can't deny the problem of camping/tunneling is larger and more frequent than gen-rushing.

Personally I find it easy to farm BP's on killer, I don't even have to kill anyone and still get upwards of 20-25k. But as a survivor, it's very stressful to get the same amount. It's a 5 man match with the same objective for all 5 people (BP's), so why deny that to someone? 🤨

All of the survivors were within the killers rank range.

    6 above and 6 below.

Yes, but I wasn't. why should I be boosted like this? Not very fair on the rank 7 killer.

  • And this morning as a R18 killer I got 2 red and a purple survivor, not sure what's going on with the matchmaking...

  • Capture.PNG

Yeah... this literally just happened. Matchmaking is FUBAR right now.

  • It's always the Megs that tea-bag too, must be something to do with the athletic ass.

  • I've been casually playing this game on and off for years and only up until weeks ago did I start enjoying being the killer. Honestly it's so chill, the entire pressure to "win" is off.

I never ever camp, always move on on hook to patrol other gens, I never tunnel and specifically ignore survivor X if I have already hooked him/her.

If I see they're struggling with finishing gens I go the long way around or just ignore failed skill check noises and let them get on with it.

I rarely hang all 4, usually let 1 or 2 go. Sometimes I let all 4 go, but I always give everyone a run for their money (or BP's in this case) where I make sure to chase, hit, hook, but always counting who's got how many hooks and avoid a 3rd hook that kills them.

Yesterday there was a rank 3 Bill helping two rank 20 friends of his, unbeknownst to me I hooked and killed one of them, but in the end I let Rank 3 Bill and his other friend to escape. On the match summary chat Bill was like "thanks for being nice to Z, I'm trying to teach them the game" honestly made me feel happy that I gave these guys a nice early experience rather than being tunneled and camped just because I can.

Sure I get some purple tryhards with flashlights (despite me being at rank 20-18 killer) but I pay not much attention to them and play around with the others, once the tryhards realise I'm not tunneling or camping they start to chill. I never got insulted on chat, only compliments and always had fun thus far.

Honestly love playing chill killer, there's no pressure because I'm not fussed about ranking and I get tons of BP's, and so do they because I allow for so many long chases and pallets on my face.

  • Would be nice to get the one from Dog Soldiers, The Howling, Bad Moon, or the runner up: An American Werewolf in London. We need it to be a lean mean killing machine, pls no Twilight or Underworld cr*p.

  • "Ship"?

Is this a new gen Z/late millennial speak? Why not couple? Why not bang?

  • Any killer that doesn't straight up kill me. In the context of all the killers I guess Myers would be the most humane of them all. Everyone else? *Shivers*

  • Kate Denson because somehow I always survive with her. Killers find me adorable.

Secretly I like to play a lot of Nea wearing a certain tartan skirt, but I find killers tunnel the f* out of me when I do it.

Bill is my 3rd favourite because I'm a massive L4D fan, and because Bill!

Cheryl Mason is quickly becoming a favourite but Killers keep tunneling me just like Nea, it must be a skirt thing...

  • I used to really hate Doctor, to the same point of wanting to DC. I took me a long time but eventually I changed my mindset when playing against Doc. I have to play very defensive, more cautious than normal and use a lot of lockers to avoid the AoE spell (forgot the name).

Honestly I find Freddy worse with his invisibility/dream crap. And I absolutely hate Wraith just because I think invisibility is BS and it seems every other wraith I get either camps and tunnels or just rubber-bands to hook (pretends to go away for 3 to 5 seconds only to come back).

I've always wanted a haunted mansion map I'm not gonna lie, a huge building with multiple floors, maybe a cellar, secret passages, trapdoors, literally the works.

It'd probably be impossible to make the way I envision it, but hell, I'd take something that's even a 10th of what I described.

Make Casper the 'friendly' ghost the killer and you got a deal!
