#########. I didn't even think about the possibility of black friday sales. I just bought freddy, spirit, pig, and ghostface last week after refusing to spend any actual money on the game for a long time... Then I decided to cave in cause I play dbd more than any other games. I feel like an idiot now 😂

Thats funny i was just thinking about how many people were gonna be upset for this lmao F in chat. Get urself a pretty half priced ghostyboi skin :p

The same goes for the characters of a nightmare on Elm Street?

No Nightmare on Elm Street Characters are discounted. Its just Laurie.

  • @Chaotic_Riddle said:

Plenty of reasons as to why they may’ve done it, from being licensing reasons towards the character, to balancing reasons with some of her perks. The world may never truly know though.

Honestly if they didnt discount her just because people want D strike thats pretty stupid

  • @Cetren said:

Liscence probably didn't agree to it.

Its through the same license as micheal and he recieved a discount as well as quentin

  • @tonycuup7 said:

The sale applies to cosmetics released BEFORE the release date of the Stranger Things Chapter.

Yes but her base character receives no discount to unlock. Micheal Myers is only 250 to unlock and steve and nacny are only 350. Laurie is the only character not recieving a discount to unlock

  • Killers always take advantage of teams that are thirsty for unhooks. If you consistently have one or multiple teammates plot the unhook as soon as it happens the killer is just gonna proxy the area and punish it. If you do have borrowed and want to stop a second state or player dying on hook go wake yourself up and then go for the save so the terror radius is enabled. Insane how many games I play with high level survivors and we lose in like three minutes bc everyone just throws themselves at the hooks for saves.

  • This wont happen. The way the game is scored might get tweaked but the chances of being able to escape after being last on hook are so low devs are not going to design around the minority of games where hatches are near hooks. It is funny to me how this mechanic exists to stop survs from delaying an inevitable loss when early game DCs are pretty much a game ender for survs and nothing gets done about it.

It's a good thing 3-blink Nurse won't exist soon, then.

I know it's not fair, but you can't make an unfair situation fair without adding incentive to DC, which is the opposite of what you want. At worse, it encourages DCing because "who cares if I do it then?". At worst, people do it on purpose to exploit and gain an advantage.

For example, people already DC so someone gets a quick hatch escape, and therefore denying the killer 2 potential kills and that can even result in a depip for the killer. So it's not something that will become a thing. It already is a thing. If DCing didn't let people get hatch escapes, they wouldn't DC to give hatch because obviously if it doesn't work, there's no incentive to do it.

I dont think this i a good way to look at it. The killer is not the victim of the DC all the players are. players DCing intentionally to allow a hatch escape still will cause a depip for all the survivors in most cases. As long as the killer doesnt DC i'm pretty sure theyre given a safety pip out of quitter bonuses alone. Nobody should be obligated to stay in an unwinnable game just so the killer can pip when they stand to gain nothing. My only empathy for the killers here is that wait times are horrible and I see a lot of post game frustration from killers in quick games where survs just kill themselves on hook.

    @Sairek I’m all for punishments for DC’ers.

But I am also for fair play and getting stuck with a 3blink Nurse with Noed and a Mori while it is technically not the rest of the team’s fault isn’t fun.

I would rather the match get cancelled and the survivor get a punishment. That way it’s fair for both sides.

Yeah this is kinda my point exactly. So now the killer knows theyre gonna win and theyre not gonna have too much fun doing it so they usually just get it over quickly. The killer isnt gonna leave and take the hits to their rank bc a surv DC so now the rest of the remaining players basically need to wait around and die just to safety pip. It really ruins the game. Same thing with moris--but thats a different conversation

  • Lore wise its wonky but demogorgon happened so we all know the entity like money. Idk man I'm all for new content but FNAF is kinda cringe.

They just need to ban people for DCing, that's it. If bona to gens speed for a DC were added, i can already see SWF DCing on the third hook as they're being carried to help their team, also since DCs are not punished at all.

Ideally there should be a way that helps that doesnt cause a new exploit but I agree this would be the most straightforward fix

I'd say to add an increased repair speed based on how many people and generators are left, if someone DCs and there are only 2 gens left with 3 survivors, the survivors don't really need the speed bonus. However, if someone DCs and there are 5 gens left with 3 survivors then they definitely need the speed boost.

Yeah theres def math to do if anything like this was ever implemented. when players dc, how many players dc etc. However any game that has two survivors left and any more than one gen left to do, the game is over. I just wish devs would incentivize actual gameplay in these situation rather than just two people playing hide and seek waiting for the other to die looking for hatch.

  • Steve sounds like such a nasally baby. Really the worst hooked scream in the game. It might as well be a royalty free baby crying sound.

  • I swear the pallets on that map are all that basement pallet by the gen in temple of purgation. theyre all mind game pallets and unsafe af

  • Trying to avoid that one second of post game chat where to survs can get in a quick "gg ez"

  • NOT TOXIC

just remember--if it GLOWS it GOES

survivors are very greedy cleanse early so if they just wanna throw themselves repeatedly at it and call you camper¯\_(ツ)_/¯. u camped a totem they shoulda just done gens. Always makes me so mad when I play killer and have survivors hooked between very progressed gens and I patrol and get called a camper. I have a surv and all the objectives right here it would be dumb not to. Best way to apply pressure to killers is to just do gens elsewhere.

  • Surv Main here:

    1. I used to always get found first. I dont enjoy being the first person chased as I'm not the strongest looper but I personally avoided this by running spine chill. If you dont run spine chill pray its a killer with terror radius and play a little stealthy. Scratch marks for killers are VERY strong. Immersed survs are really rough for a lot of killers.
    2. Its all about doing whats best for the team. I have solo'd all five gens in games before because escaping is what winning is to me. For some people its to pip but if the rest of your team is alive when gates are powered there are still many opportunities for points. If you are a smart player and forced to gen jockey it can stop less mindful players from three genning you as well. Nothing worse than having rekt the killer and have a three gen give a killer a free 4k.
    3. I have the opposite problem. However i ALWAYS run kindred. when youre solo you have almost no data. But kindred shows everyone where everyone is so if they decide to do that i can at least complain in chat post game. Aftercare and bond very strong as well.
    4. kindred also combats hard tunneling and facecamp. Really underrated perk. And D strike is meta for this exact reason. Some killers know how strong it is to get a player out of the game early and will shamelessly do so.

Hope some of those Tips helped. Overall what i would say is the strongest thing for killers is dumb survivors. Solo queue is a rough life but at red ranks people tend to be more mindful. Sometimes you have to play AROUND your teammates and not with them and it sucks but thats why SWF is so strong.

I'm going to say next week being that DBD releases on the Nintendo switch next week.

That would make a lot of sense. Thanks! I wont hold my breath either way lol

  • Seen many people complain about inconsistency with the stacks. Apparently some hits not counting as protection or even when awarded protection stacks not counting. MoM will likely be reworked into something new entirely like left behind

  • I really wish there were more bad guy survivors. Imagine a pre virus Albert wesker. glorious

  • jack the ripper

    Alien

    silent hill

  • My only issue is with his portals being able to sense survs when activated. eliminates the need for bbq and other tracking perks. yes the portals can be destroyed but simply by destroying them you alert demogorgon. This along with freddys new rework with his ability to teleport between gens is forcing survs to adapt a combination of stealth and fast play which is a good thing however for the meta atm i think it is very strong.

I dont think they will nerf demogorgon I'm pretty sure devs are trying to disrupt the meta

  • I would add Jeff's dog to the game as a perk that allows the dog to be by your side so killers would feel too bad to kill you and the dog. But yeah I'd save Jeff as well. He was just an unsuspecting victim trying to do the right thing.
