  • I love every line of Plague. Including the pallet stun.

I also find funny that doctor doesn't give a ######### and laughs at it.

  • I was carrying a survivor to a hook as Nemesis. When I got to the hook a zombie spawned in my face, blocking the hook action. Punched it, missed. Punched again, killed the Z, but the survivor wiggled out XD

TrueTalent wasnt playing Wraith, if you look carefully.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/Z82BLCQVAPL4/20220612143907-1.jpg

He was playing Dredge with good addons (Nightfall from the beginning of the match), which gave him a down very quickly. So it's definetely not the weakest killer. But he decided to tunnel and camp and this didn't work out cuz even with just 2 people in voice call in that specific game my friends and me were able to do gens and to unhook. Even though he got a grab on the hook, but also got a flashy save at the same time and lost everything.

But yea... a brown medkit and two flashlights are OP survivor equipment as well I guess...

However this is not his typical game. If you watch his streams then you should notice than besides his typical crying about how hard killer life is (one of my friends in this match is also a killer main btw and 4 ks most of the time) he wins 9 out of 10 his matches (even before the update).

I've seen many of his videos and he always tunnel and camp by default. Even at 5 gens. Even if their teammates are bodyblocking so hard that the chase lasts 2 minutes to take one hit.

It's unlucky that tactic works so well against soloQ

Otzdarva, Hexy, Umbra, Dowsey, TrueTalent, ScottJund, ZubatLEL, OhTofu and many others didnt have any problems to win most of their games unless they used obvious meme builds.

Also is JRM dying in most of his matches.

Well I've seen many videos of truetalent and he always did the same: Hook someone and tunnel him till he is out of the game.

I literally saw him holding a 2 minute body block in order to tunnel someone out of the game until he got the speed boost and finally got him.

I mean, he's not the best example of a good killer if he's always winning because of that.

  • Ghostface and Doctor.

Ghostface it's so fun to play with and against. I really love the scare jumps.

Doctor has a unique mechanism that can make you feel vulnerable almost the entire match. You might be hearing false terror radius randomly, you might think you're safe but that pallet its actually fake, etc... I think it's super annoying to play against him and that's exactly how should be.

  • @Biscuits said:

Distressing, Unnerving Presence, Sloppy Butcher, Coulrophobia. Double terror radius addons and a small map offering.

You basically injure everyone and they can never heal, get everyone to tier 1 and never use your power to keep your terror radius big (unless you can't find anyone). Feels disgusting, just about every game I have done it they give up. It is nearly impossible to heal (I have played against it).

I've been testing this perks before seeing this comment and I can confirm it's a real nightmare. I've got 4k in every game except one where they found the hatch.

In my case I use restraint so I can see where are they healing and go for them to be more annoying.

  • I'm still having fun as survivor. The only thing that makes me get angry or frustrated is when survivors don't play altruistic so maybe I get second stage on hook because nobody comes to rescue or they refuse to heal someone and do gens instead so when the killer comes he gets an easy kill.

People need to learn to play as a team now. They are still used to play by his own.

  • @Shirtless_Myers said:

It shouldn't exist and is a relic of the past gameplay experience. The fact it's impossible to tell if Micheal has the addon or not is poor game design, but this game is full of that. You can guess he'll take a while to get it if he's running Tombstone, but you can't tell in solo-queue at all. Jumping in a locker is the best bet against the instant mori, but you shouldn't be required to play like that under an assumption.

In fact you can tell if Myers has tombstone by looking at his hand (the one without a knife). If it's open it means that he has tombstone so he will grab and kill you. It it is a closed fist it's regular T3 Myers.

  • I love playing RPD as survivor. As a killer it's a pain in the ass.

Just letting you know that Third Seal doesn't work with any killer related power items (Pig Traps, Plague Fountains, Cenobite's cube) unless you were talking about his iri add on.

Oh I didn't know that. Thanks.

But don’t we sorta want them to cleanse Plaything because of Pentimento? Pentimento is much more powerful than Plaything.

Better than someone running into my face because they don't actually know where I am? Or even get some grabs of people doing gens or cleansing totems?

That's a free hook and a hook still keep survivors busy.

I'm playing this build as Pinhead and it's even better. Not only they have to worry about their totems but also they can't find them, neither the cube. So usually the game snowballs as you get free chain hunts.

  • Since I didn't play the perks that have been nerfed I'm still having a fun experience as a survivor.

General killer buff is noticeable, but I feel more like the main issue is most survivors are used to play with second chance perks and now they are bad as hell.

  • @HugTheHag said:

Does Third Seal affect seeing your Plaything's aura ?

If so then that's op as well.

    Of course it does.

I thought blindness only affected aura reading and not delaying the cleansing and oblivious???

If they can't se auras they can't see the aura of the totem that makes them oblivious. Otherwise they'll see it within 24m :)

  • I'd say you should use Third Seal instead of Devour Hope. There is no point of having 3 stacks if they are already full infected, and if they are cleansing you can use your power to get easy downs.

With Third Seal you can delay the cleansing if you are lucky and maybe get some scare jump.

  • If you only repaired 1 gen before a full iridescent Myers went to T3 you are doing something wrong.

  • I only play Nea, but I also love Micaela's look.

Kate has some nice skins too.

How am I being rude/annoying/making fun of them exactly? In my post I just said I'm never toxic, so.

Maybe you're good at chases so they prefer to camp you to get you into phase 2. Some people do that.

  • I tunnel when I'm feeling a lot of pressure on gens(maybe 2 gens left) and I still didn't kill anybody. Also if someone is so stupid to walk into my face after the unhook instead of running to safety I may go after him to punish his stupidness.

    I camp under 3 circumstances:

    1. I've heard someone just behind me as I were carrying the survivor. So I know if I leave its a free unhook with no benefit to me.

    2. The nearest gens are too far away. I don't know where is anybody else and I need them to stop doing gens and injure 2 people or hook someone to make pressure.

    3. Gates are 99% and I want to get some kills.

Point 2 could happen more than before cause BBQ its not a must have anymore and pain resonance doesn't give you any info.

right now tunneling 3 hookstages on one guy effectfly ends the game for the survivor team.

With the team hook system this would be 7 hooks on one guy until he is dead. If a team sees that the killer is tunneling 3 other guys can do gens because of the TEAM EYE mechanic (baseline kindred for everyone).

THERE IS NO SOULTION FOR HUMAN ERROR. But everything you said is "yes it will make it a little better but not perfect"! THERE IS NO PERFECT! We can only have steps in the right directions and noone here seems to be able to admit that this would be the right direction!

That's true, but somehow if you're not as bad as your teammates you can still get the hatch. This method punishes you for others failures.

  • So if my team is useless and someone gets hooked 6 times, if I get hooked once I die. Sounds unfair.

  • They said that they would fix the hug tech since it's not how they want it to work.

We already have a clear understand on the previous meta is an arm race between survivor's extended chase and killer slow down gen perk.

What I will say below is based on killer mindset that I understand, I know people sometimes are lacking emphaty toward opposing side which is normal tbh. But this is what I am trying to break down what devs are intended here for the changes. Which is to promote less camping and tunneling.

Camping and Tunneling: This is the game feature, but I believe the dev themselves never want killer to do that since it lower the interaction between killer and survivors.

    1. Playstyle: They want to do it or its their play style. Result: low pip, low mmr, less interaction with survivor.
    2. Hopelessness to get into another chase, when gens flying too fast for them to feel sure that they can chase and down another survivor before another gens pop as survivor has too many protection. Thus, they will resort to tunnel or camping.

Now, I can only say on 2nd point due to the 1st point is not a fun way to play and have some draw back as well.

For the 2nd point, this is what the new change will try to fix. Yes, the dev did not do anything or give any punishment for the camping and tunneling.

Instead, they buff the play style that give killer a sense of security of downing survivor if they see them. And also, give some sense of comeback despite gens flying in the beginning of the game.

    For Example:

    Scenario 1 Before update:

    • - Killer hooked a survivor while gens down to 2 or 3. Killer will think that cannot do anything meaningful to get into their favor as survivor has dh and do gen very fast. Result= Camping and tunneling
    • - Killer hooked a survivor, survivor team mate try to bait for killer to leave hook, Killer saw the survivor and thinking that they have dead hard and can extend chase more. Not guaranteed down. Result= Camping and tunneling

    Scenario 2 After Update:

    • - Killer hooked a survivor while gens down to 2 or 3. Killer will think the gens is longer, and they can make a comeback.
    • Cause: Longer gens time, encouraging killer to get into chase more with some sense of security
    • Result: Less Camping and tunneling
    • - Killer hooked a survivor, survivor team mate try to bait for killer to leave hook, Killer saw the survivor and thinking that they can down them in 30 sec. Leaving hook.
    • Cause: Shorter time of downing survivor, encourage to chase other survivor after hook
    • Result= Less Camping and tunneling

    With new update:

    1. Chase perk and info perk are become more valuable as you can get to chase more than before.
    2. Chasing survivor will have a higher guarantee to down them within 30 sec compare to before.
    3. Killer can have a comeback even gens flying at beginning of the game.
    4. NOED will be less desirable as end game perk has a very limited windows to begin with.

    What do you think?

Since I wasn't tunneling or camping by default like a lot of killers do, I feel like the changes are good and make the game more enjoyable.

As you say, I don't feel like I NEED to tunnel/camp someone because at first chase there are 2 gens completed and another one is going to pop as soon as someone comes to unhook.

Now I can go for a walk and kick some gens, maybe start another chase or go back to the hook and chase the surv who just unhooked someone and still get a good game without tunneling.

That being said, I think I only had 1 game which ended with 2k or less since the patch, and most games end with a 4k. And I play a lot these days.

I don't know if survivors need to adapt and be less greedy at chases or that's how it's going to be for now on.

aOn the other hand, as a non DH user as survivor, I feel like the killer buff it's noticeable and I am not able to give a long chase since the update. That's okay, but for some reason a lot of killers still want to tunnel and camp even when they don't need to, because they want to win even if they are playing the most boring way. I don't understand why they do that since I don't enjoy this playstyle, so my guess is they are just bad at chases and they still feel like they need to camp and tunnel.

i just had a player who skillfully used it =) and it even made me feel "nice one" instead of "ahh cheap second chance"

Same. Now it feels right and still useful in the right hands.

  • I spent last week farming BP so I could have all killers at P3 or P2 lvl 50 after the prestige transfer. I even made a list of how many perks had on every killer.

I just checked if everything was OK, but for some reason, Leatherface, who had 124 known perks and should be P2 lvl 50, now it's P1 lvl 50.

It's weird because he wasn't even the last one who I farmed on lol.

  • Dwight. I always think that he has Prove Thyself and i will be genrushed so if gens pop so fast I'll tunnel him to death.

Also pink bunny Mei. They are psychopaths

Has knockout or third seal ever been an issue on any killer besides nurse? Especially knockout is not used on any other killer because they either can’t use it with special attacks or can’t snowball effectively

Again this is a nurse issue

Third seal works fine on Twins too.

  • Why should be an issue if people start pre dropping strong pallets instead of looping them?

Just break the strong ones and keep the others to get downs lol

Unless it's The Game. That map is bullshit. Strong pallet into strong pallet in the same room into L-T into god pallet. FML man.

  • @fulltonon said:

It is very well possible to remove camping and tunneling though... just remove hooks!

That sounds great actually. Get rid of the hooks and allow killers to insta mori a survivor at his first down.

  • They just need to make her blink attack to be a special attack, not a regular attack.

    Problem solved.

  • Because it's easy to rely on some perks to carry you if you are not that good and it feels bad thinking how hard will be the game for now on.

You can still play a lot of builds that are not meta and still have fun and escape, but of course it's harder.

  • I mainly play killer, but when I play survivor with some friends who mainly play surv, they complain a lot about camping. They don't realize that usually first down it's 1-2 gens done in best scenarios. If you do a 3-4 gen chase the killer needs to pressure you to move out the gen and save your teammate.

I'ts boring to just stare at someone at the hook, but sometimes it's necessary.

Also if I see the classical flashy guy around me while I'm hooking a survivor and I can't find him, I'm not going too far and give that free unhook. That's stupid and somehow some people still think that's how it should be.

  • I didn't play pre-rework Freddy but I do enjoy playing him. I run the palet add-on with endurance and spirit fury. Bamboozle to help in chases and Blood Warden to make end game funnier.

I just don't respect any pallet so they get used to throw them for a stun. Then I break them all, place a dream pallet and in mid game I get lots of downs with spirit fury or dream pallets.

It's so funny to make people believe they are safe. Somehow I managed to get a few easy 4k at The Game map with that build.

  • I've been playing them since I knew about Lynxi and figured out how to play them efficiently. I had the same experience as you, stomping every match and doing incredible comebacks.

After a few weeks playing almost only twins the MMR did his thing and now I have more balanced matches with smarter survivors who actually know how to counter them so I sometimes have to sweat a lot.

Anyway I still find them way more powerful than my other mains.

If someone is interested of learn to play twins check this channel

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nvehp7sPBM

  • I sometines need up to three hits to destroy a lock because ######### hitbox. It doesn't feel right. Same as snuff boons as they said

  • As a Twins player I'm glad it's an uncommon pick. People do still feel safe hiding behind thrown pallets when I'm controlling Victor so I can down them eaisly xD

  • Impossible skillcheck Doctor. If they don't find the hex totem soon or late someone will disconnect or just wait for me next to a hook.

  • Yesterday I played against a Nurse at the Silent Hill map. That was the most unfair and frustrating experience I've had in this game.
