It crashed today for me while I was crusing around the map with the chainsaw. Just out of nowhere. Got a bluescreen and after couldn't react with my pc. After some minutes my whole pc crashed and rebooted

For me, it's whenever I tried getting into a trial. A few times it would give me constant Network Errors and boot me to the Main Menu. Also, whenever I would crash a notification from Unreal Engine would pop up telling me to send a notification to whomever that this has happened. Don't know if that's been here a while now or not as this is my second-esq ever crash since a year and a half ago.

  • I guess in the meantime I won't use a medkit with self care then. Thanks for the info.
  • What the devs say is irrelevant. It's still an issue that persist in game and needs to be fixed asap. I hate playing survivor in comparison to killer, but this is still unacceptable.
  • Fair enough, but these people have pings 150 or under. They are fine connection wise. People tend to forget that there has to be a first person joined in order to have a second person. No one seems to like to be the first. If you wait for 5 minutes and no one else joined then fine, look for another one but you may have the same issue. I just hate it when que's are long and people join empty lobbies and leave in 10 seconds or less. Very annoying when someone else joins right after them too.
  • It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. Soon the hooks will know.
  • Not even funny to me. This bug or feature or whatever they call it has cost me more games than I'd like to admit. They need to fix or alter it soon.
  • Sounds like that sucked, matches where there is nothing you can do to turn the outcome around are the worst. More so as survivor in my opinion. It's the reason why I prefer playing killer more. Because every time I play as survivor, even at Rank 1, it seems like as soon as the match starts they all get lobotomized. And as a result, we all die. Mostly my deaths are from teammates not taking hits when they need to and teammates standing around doing nothing while I'm on the hook and the killer is miles away. Not even working on a gen. They just stand there.

Anyway, yea marsh mellows do sound good. Needs to be winter already.
  • I just wanted to update everyone in saying that my issue has been resolved. It now runs buttery smooth again at a steady 60. How you may ask? I've no clue! It was crap this morning, then I went away, came back a few hours later, deleted a program I haven't used since one of college classes two years ago, then I started the game and BOOM. Everything was better. And no, before you ask, it was not the program because I have had it this whole time with no issue until this update, so it couldn't be that. Did they release a shadow patch or something? Anyway, my issue has been rectified. Thank you for all the support or advice you guys gave. I really appreciate it!

    (Edited for grammar)
  • Thank you for the notification. However the frames are tanked as soon as the game starts up. The title card itself is 30 frames and skipping like a schoolgirl when it used to be 60 and smooth. And multiple times now I have had sessions playing without once going into the store and the frames are still garbage. But again I sincerely appreciate the advice. Thank you.
  • Don't know what you guys are talking about. I'm really annoyed by just how much noise The Shape makes in the lobby. I mean have you heard him? Very loud and annoying.
  • Thank you for the advice, I will attempt to try it in the morning, though honestly I do have my doubts. Because as I said, I have never ever had a problem with my frame rate on this game. Even with my crappy GPU. And I've also never had the game crash until this update. Regardless, I will try it out. Thanks again for the responses guys!
  • No great start on frames for me, so it doesn't sound like a memory leak. Was perfectly fine at 60. Now I'm just 15-20 most of the time. It evens out a bit when matches go on long enough oddly, and again sometimes returns in the menu. But as soon as I switch it to another page, (bloodweb, loadout, store, etc) it drops back down immediately. Very infuriating.
  • I'm on PC, I can't even imaging what it's like for you console folk. Regardless, this update is a ######### show. I hope there is at least a small bit of compensation for this but I doubt it. I'm still playing the game for the points, putting aside the fact that I miss 70% of my swings due to ######### frames. Ever try to hit a 360'ing survivor on 15 frames? Extremely difficult let me tell you.
  • Hmm. My frames are destroyed all over. 10-15 frames in the menu, and 20-30 in the game. When I used to get 60 on both. I don't know what they did, but they made the game almost unplayable for me. Worst part is, I won't be able to play during the double blood points event. I'm very dissapointed to say the least.
  • Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one having frame issues, however mine seems to involve the entirety of the game itself. Are you having frame drops in the menu? Or only on those maps?

  • I too don't think it is unreasonable to have a single individual who works at or for Behavior to at least go into the report threads and acknowledge that they have been noted or seen. At least then people will at least FEEL they have a semblance of a reliable connection with the developers. Honestly aside from all the toxicity and immaturity in games, one of the worst feelings a customer can have is when they find and report a legitimate issue only to get ignored or glossed over for other trivial concerns.

Massive frame drop or crash to desktop?

Nah, the "OMG KILLER TUNNELED ME AND NEEDS TO BE BANNED" thread is much more important.

Obviously this is sarcasm, but my point still stands. Give your consumers relief that their concerns have at least been seen instead of outright discarding valid problems they are having.
