What is up with downvoting Discussions regarding anything positive Killer Themed?
I noticed that for a while now here on the forum that most Discussions where the topic has something to do regarding the Killer side it always has like at least 2-10 Downvotes.
I saw someone just asking if older killers that didn't got touched in a longer time (Artist for example) are planned to get some quality of life changes in the near future since the game changed a lot the past few months and the post had more Downvotes then Comments 😐
Like don't get me wrong everyone is allowed to vote up or down how they want but it feels like there are a few kids who Downvote anything positive regarding the Killer Side.

Some people just down vote for no good reason.
Eh, I like to imagine that I've been in this community and on this forum long enough to recognize that it tends to bounce around between clearly being survivor biased and killer biased. Just give it time and it'll pass eventually.
That being said, DbD being in a, quite frankly, terrible state right is probably not helping with people's temperaments.
Some people are just downvoting everything. Though most of the killer topics are just poorly bias.
There are some people here who clearly only play killer or only play survivor. The is nothing inherently wrong with that, but IMO you can’t have objective opinions about game balance without having a decent amount of experience playing both sides. Many of them downvote anything pro the side they don’t play. Few of them ever admit that they only play one side, but at least some of them provide explanations for why they disagree instead of just anonymously downvoting without explanation. Just based on the downvote numbers I see, there are definitely more survivor-only players than killer-only players. I bet this comment will be strong proof of that 😉
I'm still trying to figure out why they brought back downvoting to begin with… 🤔
Survivor is a role with 4x the number of players and therefore there are far more survivor only players who want killers to be nerfed into the ground so they can escape easily around the forums that downvote anything positive regarding killers.
I've largely found it's a waste of time to have reasonable discussions from the killer pov on the forum.
you could say the same about any survivor positive post. Just some petty tribalistic crap that leads to more and more toxicity. And bhvr wont do a damn thing about it. In fact they kinda encouraged it unknowingly with wording like THE EVIL SKULL MERCHANT in thier own broadcast remember that? How could they not have known that phrase would be taken the wrong way? Tone deaf doesnt even begin to describe them sometimes.
I've noticed i get downvoted no matter what i say.. So im guessing people don't really like me here 😁, but yeah killer defensive or people who can actually see the game from both sides do get more downvotes here than survivor biased people. Also one of the reasons i kinda stopped writing much anything anymore.
Not sure why these votes even need to be here.
Probably partially due to the fact that Artist is already an A tier killer who does not need any buffs. But also just due to the building resentment from killers always getting their way as shown with the latest nerfs to survivors and the devs deciding to make tunneling easier for whatever reason. It just makes it that even when good points about weaker killers are brought up the resentment just means people automatically downvote out of spite.

Having a constant stream of new members means we have the same threads over and over every week or month. It gets tedious, so people just downvote instead of repeating themselves endlessly. The way people say things also matters. One sentence posts say nothing. Aggressive tones will also get you downvoted. Plenty of people will downvote any take against their preferred role, or any person who they already don't like. The voting is half popularity contest so if you roll up hot and angry, or you're established and people already feel some way about you, the votes can be more about the person than the take.
The game has more survivor players so you will get more survivor that hate any killer player changes then killers that hate any survivor player changes. So you will see more down votes from those type of survivor on killer posts then you will from killer on survivor

Honestly who can say. Sometimes I’ll get downvoted for posting the same opinion that just got upvoted. This forum is fickle.
It's got nothing to do with "sides". I believe most players actually do play both sides (with preference, of course), and as QwQw has said above, there are plenty of survivor takes that get downvotes. Things like recent announcements/updates, tribalistic takes, poorly worded posts or repeating of what others have said rather than creating an individual or unique discussion, can contribute to downvotes.
I dunno the killer role has a hefty playerbase. Que times in my region are still 5+ mins for killer.
Honestly most tribal opinions or divisive topics get downvoted pretty heavily. Same happens with survivor sided ones as well as killer. It also doesn't help if the post is ranty and doesn't have many cogent points. And there a LOT of posts like that.
It really depends on each individual post and what kind of people are online at the time the post is fresh.
I have seen positive feedback and rant posts about killer and survivor getting massively up or down voted.
From outside/headline heavily biased looking posts where I go in, thinking "oh boy, this is probably getting down voted into oblivion or upvoted sky-high" but I would be wrong half the time.

if you come of as snarky in post people will downvote, I actually commented on one of your other posts other day about Chaos shuffle ad ons and you had a snarky second paragraph towards survivors, of course that's gonna get downvotes when you add that sorta line to it, and I don't think that specific thread would of had as many downvotes if it was not included.
To be fair, snarky with a valid point tends to win just as many up votes as down from the crowd. Generally people just dont be snarky and correct at the same time and just be snarky and make themselves look dumb.
I think it depends how it comes off.
Eg. Op chaos shuffle post makes good points I just think that snark remark he made caused that post to have more downvotes because of vibe it gave off because otherwise it was valid points raised.
I've also made snarky post about Jason which have been downvoted heavily meanwhile when I explain what I don't like about him they get more upvotes.
People will also tend to downvote if you ego trip or glaze yourself. For example if you start a thread with "I'm a Rank 1 both sides" so I know what I'm talking about kind of thing.

Meanwhile every other killer thread is calling survivors entitled babies.
There are several names here in which you don't even have to read the post to know what has been posted.
That vote down is the forums t-bagging 😄 Vote up is leaving item at exit gate. Some people always t-bag it is what it is.
