I want a Dev to look at this and explain what the counterplay is.

https://tiktok.com/t/ZGd9mvesQ/

Idk if there is a better way to show this Video but it is basically a showcase on how well that invisibility event power is used. I really wanna know from a Dev what they were thinking when approving this idea and what killers can do to counter it except to just wait until there is just 1 generator left.

  • You can hear invis survivors if that helps. I track them by my ######### ears.

  • For morsel invisibility they make a tinkling sound in addition to breathing and footsteps. They also have collison. I've hit them while invisible. At the very least, you can hear them enough to stay around them until it wears off.

The portals, though, are a bigger issue. They're the only thing I think is truly busted on survivor in this mode. Everything else is manageable but these pre-run to portal matches make me want to give up.

Also if there's grass then you see it moving when they're invisible. There's a number of tells. When all else fails, I just back up a bit and count down lol

  • The worst part is that the presence of portals and invisibility turns the gameplay into nothing more than walking around for minutes on end without ever encountering a survivor.

Undergate attack and main event are completely nullified simply by entering the portal.

That's cool and all but some killers have really loud chase music and it makes it impossible to hear. I play with headphones and I can't hear them. What about people who play this game who are deaf? Screw them, right. They shouldn't be allowed to play /s. What about people who don't play with headphones? So the counter is buying physical hardware.

I play survivor more than I play killer and I have had so many killers DC because my friends were on top of using cakes to instant heal and allow the special power to happen. It's hard to defend this event.

What about deaf people like myself?

  • Ever think about how blind people are severely disadvantaged when playing the game. Life is not fair. But my condolences anyway.

Name one game a blind person can play at the same level as a normal person could.

See? Again, my condolences. I am happy that support for bodily impaired people gets added to many games out there. A visual audio radius could help with that.

I tried playing Henry and his chase music was completely unbearable for tracking invisible people..

the point of the chase music is to hide those sounds so you'll lose them quickly

Curious as to what you thought about last year's event with Remote Hooking/Pallet Break + Expose.

Did you also advocate for this to be removed as well?

Nice what about argument. Two broken game plays do not equal a healthy game. That was an issue back then and this one is an issue now. You know what we should have? A healthy game with balance events. Maybe focus on arguing for that.

This doesn't help after they've activated the banquet buff and go through the portal, which is what's going on in that clip. The portal gives them invisibility when they come out the other side. They could be quite literally anywhere by the time you follow them through.

  • nothing literally nothing your just sol its a horrible event that if they played both sides more then once would understand but the devs say they want this to be the standard for events going forward

I feel there’s plenty audio accessibility features that the game would benefit from. Lowering some chase music, toning down survivor screams, muting plagues vomit and survivor vomit sounds, things like that. I also struggle with hearing things super well which is why Spirit is such an issue for me because hearing here she’s about to phase is majority of her counter play. Hopefully audio accessibility will be considered more in the future.

  • You are aware this is clipped from a match where he went on to 3K + hatch, right? My guess is no given how you think this is some gotcha about how overpowered survivors are in the event.

Yes survivors have some fun toys this time around. Yes, it is probably affecting overall escape rates to at least some degree. No, it is not a face roll, IWIN button for survivors. I'm still winning plenty of killer matches myself. Survivors having some fun this time around is not a big deal.

It can just feel more frustrating in some matches because when a team that was skilled and coordinated enough to provide a challenging game to you in the first place uses the mechanics effectively it just amplifies things. If they weren't likely to win in the first place it doesn't suddenly make them steamroll you. Just play the game guys - it's not that bad.

That is true, you have to guess that they did that. I caught a few survivors that way, but lost many of them too.
