as expected, this year this contest will also be held and got finally announced!
i guess as always, only a few countries are eligible because of laws etc.
and BHVR doesn’t display all the entries, hopefully people will share them here, or wherever, there have been some wonderful designs in the past!

Nope, BHVR decides so that only designs win that they are actually able to implement.
I am pretty sure yeah. As long as you are still able to proof that you were the artist yourself (eg with WIP etc)
though maybe/hopefully a mod can confirm this..

Why are France and Germany the only eligible countries in the whole of Europe? I had a very nice for a Yui skin.
Unfortunately for Legal reasons we are limited by Countries
That's very unfortunate, I really wanted to participate and it sucks not been able to in other similar contests.
yeah I can understand that, we'd love to open it up to more countries ourselves but sadly we are unable to at this time - I do not know if that will be able to be changed in the future, but definitely not for now.
I'm still so pressed that thong Jeff didn't win two years ago

yes you are free to share your designs on social media etc.
The Community does not vote on the winners, winners are decided by us internally.
And yes, you can enter more than one contest but only once in each category - that one is being asked a lot so answering it now in advance here!

Also, who ever wins can there please be no changes? Like stick to the original design, I mean we all remember the Claudette thong incident :)
We try to make as little changes as possible, unfortunately there might be things that do not fit with that character but the overall design is fine...so then we're faced with excluding a whole design instead of just a portion of it. And these changes are run by person who's done the design first.
Excuses! If I am not living in any of the countries in the list but I have a friend in France or USA who can send the entry for me, would it be all legal and working for the contest?

i mean.. I asked for this in a Q&A and the answer was that they aren’t gonna make this..
They did it like once or twice a while ago. Like I'm talking year 3 or 4 anniversary. I distinctly remember it happening, even submitted a killer idea myself. There were winners anounced. I remember one of the winning kilers having a power revolving around talismans or something similar, could force survivors to briefly walk towards the killer.
We have never done a fan made chapter in DbD
We have done cosmetic contests but that's been it, there's no plans to do fan made chapters not even as contests.
I know a fan made chapter has never been put into DBD, but I swear I have distinct memories of participating in a killer creation competition. It was back in 2017/2018, my first year of college, I submitted a killer called The Bound to it. For the life of me I can't find anything talking about it online, but I remember winners being announced. The winner was a killer that could place talismans around the map and affect survivor movement.
Would love to enter but my country isn’t eligible.
Still though it’ll be great to see everyone’s ideas and the 2 winners (Hoping for Haddie or Jeff to get in)

lol, no but maybe there was something going on that wasn’t official? Like, the contest obviously wasn’t supposed to be something that would find it’s way into the actual game?
I know there was never any promise of the creation making it into the game, it was just for funsies.

Ok, I think i figured it out, and hopefully you can see why I was a little confused.
Back in 2019, the DBD discord hosted a community even for coming up with a killer/survivor for DBD. Thing is, I think this was back before the server was officially partnered with BHVR or something.
So it was a contest hosted by the official (or maybe not official yet at that point) DBD discord, but not by DBD itself. Which explains why I cannot find any evidence of it at all on DBD's social media. I messaged a crew member about it that I had messaged back when it was happening and I can show pictures of the winners if they're able to track down the old winner.
So I wasn't entirely correct, but it wasn't a fever dream either.
