Windows was actually buffed some time ago. It used to have a cooldown. It does not need a nerf imo, as it's very new-player friendly and I always recommend it to friends who aren't familiar with the maps and the layouts. As an experienced player the only reason I run it is because of the pallet randomisation - sometimes you'll run into a complete deadzone because a pallet usually spawns there but didn't.
Adrenaline, although a very strong perk, can only activate when all the gens are done. That alone is the balanced part. I agree with what others said that it seems you just want survivors to play worse
-
I don't think it should be 4. That's way way too many. From 1 survivor alone that's enough to restore the best pallets on the map, and with 2 that's 8 pallets, 3 that's 12, 4 that's 16 - and with the spawn randomiser, that could potentially be the entirety of the pallets in that map, if not close.
If the killer's "counter" were to be leaving the pallet there unbroken, someone with AMN can come along and fix that.
It should only be 1 pallet imo, or..
Get rid of the pallet part altogether and make it the ability to repair breakable walls
-
It's not lazy. It's management. Maps take a lot of work, and re-using textures and assets is a big part of game design. Both for time efficiency and for performance
-
Aw man, that really sucks. I play on PS4 and it's scary how easy all our progress and money can be lost
-
Is it confirmed we can share our designs and they still be eligable for winning? I've just submitted mine
-
Honestly I think Off The Record might be better than DS. Especially if you combo it with dead hard, you can give the killer a hell of a chase if they decide to tunnel you off hook.
Of course, this may not entirely apply to newer players who aren't too good in chase which is where DS comes in. I agree the timer should go back to being longer - after all the changes DS has had over the years it was in a really good place. I think it's still a fine perk though. As long as you're by a pallet when you use it you should be able to punish the tunnelling
-
I just miss being able to spin while on the ground. Always put a smile on my face

I don't want to be punished for survivors playing ring-around-the-rosie on the hooked teammate. No.
I think a good counter to this is that the hook timer will resume once the killer is in a chase

i actually welcome the challenge and feel myself getting better at the game
I think this is what determines a killer main vs a survivor main (or equally both ig), because I've heard streamers like OhTofu say exactly the same thing and I just simply can't relate lol
Playing killer will 1000000% make you better at the game though. You don't have to enjoy it, but learning how the killer works and what their weaknesses are by playing them yourself is the absolute best way of being a better survivor
-
I too find killer more stressful than it's worth, but as you play more and more you become more "zen" (or at least if you let yourself be, you will) and the games become more interesting and less stressful. I'm definitely not a natural killer player as I go back to being a complete noob if I don't play for a few months. It's pretty rough that your friend was getting matched with people clearly much more experience than them - maybe it's worth doing some bot games for a while?
-
I'd increase the duration to at least an extra 5 seconds
-
How long do you think the cooldown should be?
-
Gotta say the visual of kicking the killer in the shin is pretty funny. I think this could be implemented, however like @Viktor1256 said, it should be disabled once all the gens are done. During end-game, especially when the gates are open the killer doesn't have too much choice other than to camp/tunnel for a kill and this mechanic would cripple them too much

I’m more or less talking about a power that implements co-op and less of a gamemode
I'm not sure how possible that is. I'm not a coder but that seems like it would require some serious work to actually work. Twins is already a pretty buggy killer because of the way they work. Cool idea though, nonetheless

It was a lot easier to appreciate the SFX when it took 5 second to unlock a single node on the bloodweb.
You also made around 9k points a match...
Hah yeah, though gotta say I much prefer how it is now

I think this specific idea is a little strange/obscure (not bad), but the game definitely needs more cosmetics other than just outfits, and I'm sure BHVR wouldn't complain about the extra money! Maybe the killer could bring generator/hook skins, or different effects when a survivor completes a generator (like the ones that come with event toolboxes)?
I like that idea too. We already have charms to decorate hooks with, so I don’t see why we couldn’t have skins for them too
-
hm, not sure I’m a fan then. Sorry
-
People have wanted a 2v8 game mode for a long time. iirc, the devs have said they have no intention to add anything like this to dbd, but that was a couple years ago so you never know!
-
I think your queue times would increase massively. If you’re being matched with players outside of your region a majority of the time, then that means the game will have to make you wait until they find a full team of people inside your region and that could take painfully long
-
Is this a rework or a perk idea?

if this was tweeted on the day they activated it then it’s been active for 2 days now?

When was this?
i think it’s been confirmed the Badham variations do not count as separate map - though maybe map repeat prevention might have it implemented differently
it happened to us on Thursday
-
My comfy survivor build is Windows, Sprint Burst, Kindred and Empathy, along with a medkit with at least 1 charge
-
It is, however just the other day me and a friend got Badham Preschool 3 times in a row lmao, because it doesn’t necessarily prevent you spawning in the same realm, just the specific map
-
My advice to you is if you’re getting tunnelled every game, it may be time to run some anti-tunnelling builds, at least for a while. Think borrowed time, DS, Off the Record etc. Should you have to do this? No, of course not, but if you’re feeling this frustrated then I recommend it. I haven’t personally experienced an abnormal amount of tunnelling
-
Are you saying the person who is being picked up has the speed boost?
Honestly wouldn’t hate this as a separate perk, like “when you flashlight save/pallet save someone they gain a speed boost” blah blah. Though I can see why it could be paired it with Background player, I think it could be too frustrating for killer players against an organised team

If we're going to make gens take longer, then can we make them fun somehow? Because they're super boring and sitting on them can hardly be called "gameplay" as is.
I agree. So far every time extension they’ve added hasn’t been enough in the long run, so I think a more drastic change is needed but in turn we’d have to make gens more interesting
-
I like this idea. Gives survivors a good visual cue of what's happening too, as I think this haste change will be easily mistaken for cheating to players who don't keep updated on patch notes etc
