Hens Jason Kill streak

This guy is currently on a 193 match Kill streak with Jason running Ruin + Thirll of the hunt.

This is some brain dead garbage.

No, that's not even close to the issue with him. He needs to have the haste removed fully, no longer be able to see people in the mist if they are working on an objective, and remove or drastically reduce the scrap piles so that he can't just reload everywhere because being able to reload at every loop due to the insane hook density and scrap piles are far too much.

Jason would be F tier if he had no haste in the mist. That's a horrible idea.

Not no haste in the mist, but no haste after he comes out. He's ranged killer and should be 4.4 m/s

self aware really? You guys need to stop being in denial about how omnipresent evil is worse than, wraiths uncloak, and dracula’s batform. It’s only better than spirit’s phase. None of you know what a stalemate is apparently and are just bad at the game.

even in a stalemate there are still 4 survivors so if they all split and do 4 seperate gens jason loses unless he gets a down in 30 seconds since the survivors can still progress their objective

Well Jason can appear out of nowhere right next to a survivor on most generators, get a quick M1 and follow up with a quick spear. Often he can get a down in less than 10 seconds and I bet Hens does that often. After that then only a maximum of 2 gens get worked on while Ruin does its work.

It's the same old routine in DbD discussion when something needs a nerf, people call for nerfs and other people counter with "Just do X!" It's never that simple.

I think Jason needs better telegraphing on where he was while he is using Omnipresent Evil. Something like if he is within 24-32m of a survivor the fog changes in some manner. He shouldn't be able to pressure the entire map with an ability that never goes on cooldown, that's why he's such an excellent pub stomper.

Jason can’t do anything quickly coming out of omni. He has a delay, you have more than ample amount of time to get away unless you opt to greed. Further you can see foliage move around him.

In the hands of a good player Jason can easily get downs within 30 seconds of appearing, especially against the average DbD player today. So I really don't get what you're on about.

I don't believe why this is downvoted so much. It's spot on.

Knowing how wonky and inaccurate the matchmaking in DBD can be, stomping random public lobbies and calling that a winstreak is hardly worth noticing.

Even that Blight guy folded like wet cardboard when he finally faced a team ready to stop him.

Let's see if Hens is able to consistently win against a few fully coordinated teams on comms with no perk restrictions. 10 games in a row.

    Then I'll be impressed.

It's less that its impressive and more that these winstreaks are evidence to suggest that on average, a competent killer can win the majority or in some cases all of their games, no matter what killer or set up they're running.

This contradicts many of the arguments on this forum that killers are in a dire state.

some killers are in dire states that can’t be argued. As i’ve said in this topic several times what this streak and hen’s vecna streak clearly has shown though ruin + thrill are a problem. Even more so on the most oppressive killers and definitely require changes.

I don’t think we should be talking about nerfing killers based on how they perform using busted perk combos.

  • There’s no doubt Jason will get nerfs, but who knows what changes they’ll make. Hopefully, they don’t make him too clunky while keeping him fair and still fun to play against.

  • @Juleypix said:

Hex totems aren't the problem, it's the skill level of survivor and matchmaking.

right its definitely not the hex totems that has helped hens go on multiple high streaks with different killers right after their release. /s

I mean people are doing this on even 'D-tier' killers so at this point its really hard to discuss killer balance.

I still maintain these changes for Jason:

-Remove 'potential' pallet spawn points being a thing, I have no idea why Xeno and Springtrap have limitations to their power but Jason can TP pretty much anywhere, it's dumb.

-Increase animation for reloading or reduce reload spots, him using his power 4+ times in a chase without losing any distance makes him too easy

-Time limit on OE and remove the info denial delay, you should never scream whilst crouched or in a locker. Hell I'd say standing still should counter the power as well.

-Haste cut in half, exhaustion cut in half.

Maybe all of these would be overkill, but I'd at least like to see three of them.

I agree with all these except the third. I believe reducing scrap piles, cutting the haste by 10/15s would be fine for him and exhaustion in half is fine.

The third point would be way too big a nerf. My suggestion would just be increase the power cd. If he doesn't get ANY info whilst in power it becomes useless, and would need a correction to other parts of his kit to him good (not broken, just good). We've seen killers with good mobility but 0 info be weak (legion, dredge, freddy) and this would make him a ranged killer with 1 shot, has to stop to reload and essentially a tp that is projected to the survivors.

But yeah your not doing too much overkill, your nerfs are touching the right things rather than just "remove x ability from jason"

  • @Rogue11 said:

He doesn't need 25 seconds of haste + killer instinct + bs exhaustion add on + turn back the clock add on + infinite mobility + infinite information + zero reload slowdown on top of starting every chase with a massive advantage and a potent ranged attack. Holy handholding BHVR

Agreed, but part of your statements wrong. Theres definitely nerfs to be had but:

"infinite mobility"- but can't do anything in said mobility unlike other killers and it is projected when he uses it to the whole team.

"Infinite information"- you mean he can see you when your doing an action, and you can deny it by stop doing an action, so you can choose who takes chase.

"zero reload slowdown"- he gets locked in an animation and can only reload at specific areas (theres much less scrap piles/hooks than lockers). A decrease to scrap piles spawns sure, but if you loop him he shouldn't both get punished by going away from the loop to reload and a slowdown, he has 1 hit and has to go out of his way to reload, he doesn't also deserve a slowdown.

The rest i agree with, they need to cut the time of haste and exhaustion, and hit some of the addon's, and a scrap pile nerf sure.

I don't agree sorry, he is the problem, his kit is overloaded (buffs and debuffs, information, ranged attack and mobility galore) and people need to stop being in denial over it.

I'm so bored of the community not being self-aware.

Also sorry if this is rude but a Consultant should not be getting win streaks for content, this just feels like he is manipulating balance so he can get views at this point.

I agree HE needs some nerfs, but he himself needs a few targetted nerfs/ add on nerfs and he'll be fine. A lot of the complaints are around the hex build and that build in general is problematic on weaker killers, no matter Jason.

    My suggested nerfs are:

Decrease scrap pile spawns, decrease haste duration and increase his powers cd would do the trick to make him strong but fair.

If this killer isnt braindead then what is he? Where other killers get punished for playing bad, this killer has forgiving mechanics and a low skill floor. If you miss your shots on huntress you have to stop at a locker, but jason replenishes his ranged attack mid chase with no slowdown. Cant let the ADHD kids get discouraged by risk/reward gameplay. If you have trouble finding survivors, just stay in the OE form. He may have a high skill ceiling but he also has a pretty low skill floor and probably the most forgiving ranged killer in the game.

Huntress gets 7 hatchets basekit and her hatchets have a bigger hitbox than jason's, so is infinitely more forgiving with her ranged attack than jason.

"If you have trouble finding survivors, just stay in the OE form"- Yes, which means survivors can choose who takes chase and spread out hooks that way.

Yes he needs nerfs, but he definitely isn't the most forgiving ranged killer. I say this as someone who mains huntress and deathslinger, but has been using jason during the event. Survivors can much more easily dodge my spikes than huntress hatchets which you need to time your dodges much better than against jason.

The issue with Jason is him having all of the above, not just one part being super strong. Each individual part of his kit would make him C tier at best, remove his ranged attack hes a worse freddy, remove his phase shift hes a worse huntress. Its because each of these comes with so much you need to be careful with how you nerf one part or he just becomes useless.

  • They guy has tousends of hours in dbd ☠️ Of course he wins more times in a row then your average Sable.

I dont want every advantage/aspect of his power nerfed. I just wanted to point out he gets a bajillion things handed to him every 12 seconds and its too much compared to other killers. I personally think the spear is fair, but exhaustion/turn back the clock add ons need to go, as well as haste when he already starts chase directly behind survivors with killer instinct and a ranged weapon. OE either needs limited duration or limits on the information it gives.

Also idk if its bugged but I've been getting jump scared even while crouched and sitting still.

I agree, I also don't want every aspect of his power nerfed, I was just pointing out that one of the nerfs you were asking for was a bit much, and would essentially make a part of his kit useless, which would mean other parts would need to be buffed to compensate at which point we get another ranged killer with an insane ranged attack and has some form of mobility (although itd be near useless if you couldn't see stuff)

And OE already gets limited information, you can crouch to remove any and all information it gives, and allows you to choose which survivor he goes after (which no other killer does btw). no? because in the beginning (unless the survivor is that confident in looping or jason has lethal) how the match starts is people crouch walk and you have to guess where they are since crouch walking (especially urban) gives no information and if the survivors tap a gen and ruin goes off they'll go looking for ruin/undying/thrill and if 2 people go looking 1 goes on the gen and 1 in chase it's up to jason and with the spike hitboxes being smaller your more likely to dodge than a huntress hatchet

That is the thing that grinds my gears. Survivors have a great method of preventing tunneling by jason by controling who jason finds in oe but they just don’t see the vision. It just hurts reading the oe complaints because they’re borderline stupid. I just don’t understand this community.

Then they have the audacity to say well oe is busted because of ruin + thrill but when i point out other killers are just as busted with that perk combo or even more busted and that combo is the real issue i get downvoted because of the lack of critical thinking.

This community deserves the game it gets at this point.

Even if survivors do this it's still a win for Jason because survivors are wasting time not advancing their objective and odds are Jason will find a survivor sooner rather than later by making educated guesses as to where survivors spawn at the beginning of the match and being able to instantly hop back into OE if he's wrong. To be fair any killer can have a huge win streak if you pick a build that really works and you play sweaty. Someone like Hens is clearly very skilled at this game so its not really an accomplishment to get this sort of kill streak because he is going against survivors unaware of how sweaty the game is going to be.
A large win streak also doesn't show that a killer is "broken" either as it has so many factors. All it shows is that the player understands the killer well and is good at the game. its more about the player than the killer.

I also like all the suggestions that are things like "Well, just take chase." Oh, I didn't realize you could just say "Hey, killer, you have to chase me now instead of tunnelling," and they have to do that. Well, just don't pre-run, or run to a pallet. Give them a free hit. Give them a down to make yourself a better target. Don't make it too hard for them, that's just good and healthy gameplay.

you do know what a stalemate is right? jason isn't advancing his objective either and if he's guessing that means he's wasting time giving survivors an oppotunity to advance their obkjective since he has to wait before going back in his power so if they for insrance find out that ruin is in play or find it wandering for a gen and get rid of it

Wow its crazy how Spirit, Demo, Freddy, Sadako, Springtrap, etc., are able to lose auras briefly while teleporting and still easily track and start a chase with another survivor quickly, but Jason players….can't.

That's… kinda the point. It should not be possible for someone to just automatically win. Seriously would you be okay if they brought back old brand new parts so survivors can auto win or is it only killers that should get the auto win pass?

There is no such thing as automatic win. Only if survivors give up will a killer auto win and visa versa. And yea sure bring back old brand new spare parts. I survived that era of DBD once ill survive it again. And i still won't run gen regression XD

It's okay if you are new at the game and don't know about how killers powers work.

I love this reply. Just shows how little understanding you have XD

If your loss rate is so low it's a rounding error that's an automatic win my guy. I don't know any other game where one side having a 99%+ winrate is acceptable if they bring a build.

Lmfao yeah its clear that you haven’t played jason. As a dracula main, former demo main, springtrap dabbler, you don’t have a clue in what your talking about, dracula’s bat form is quicker with no restrictions and very little delay. Demo’s killer instinct and xeno’s killer instinct is stronger and can’t be punished like jason’s can.

Play him before you talk about balance.

    I’m sorry.

But if you really play these killers you mentioned, you would have the knowledge that these killers are not that good against good teams.

You should try to stop looking into why jason has power creeped everyone in the game and starts to realize why the past killers aren’t like Jason.

Every killer needs what Jason has, great mobility, good anti loop and good snowball potential.

If any killer does not have a bit of any this I mentioned before, the killer is automatically B tier at max.

Let’s tale a look at springtrap, the killer where everyone compares with Jason, that’s a valid point to spot, since both are almost identical, but what Jason has the most that Springtrap does lack of, great mobility, Springtrap’s mobility is set at the start of the match, and survivors can pre run him when he decides to use it, making W holding very effective, and lets be honest, his axe is bad, it’s a ranged attack but with a limit on the range, he can’t hit people cross map like Jason, and grabbing people with the axe is almost impossible and borderline useless.

In my opinion people should not try to get Jason nerfed and make him like what they did with Vecna 2, people should focus buffs on the weaker killers that jason power creeped and try to reduced the gap between bad and strong killers.

OBS: nuke thrill of the hunt, this perk alone is causing more problems than Jason alone.

Every killer doesnt need what Jason has, "good snowball potential" is awful design on either side. You lost me there, that makes the game unforgiving, very unforgiving.

The First is actually pretty balanced now, he doesn't interact with the map at all… he shouldn't have a power which is incredibly spammy and oppressive. I see him often enough and he still does fine.

Jason can be nerfed so he isn't the answer to everything like he is currently, Let's see what he gets from Omni present evil:
-Stealth to creep up on survivors
    -Information on survivor interactions
-Information on locker hidden survivors (Bullshit and needs removed)
-Gen regression on ALREADY REGRESSING GENS with an addon and also create overcharge like skill check with this same addon
    -The ability to fix hooks
    -The ability to reload
-The ability to change elevations (correct me if I'm wrong here coz I can't test this, but I'm sure he can in midwhich, which is a huge advantage if true)
-The ability to deny a pallet or a window (IDC if its short, it's zoning and it is effective)
    -Haste upon exiting
-Killer instinct upon exiting and screaming to find where they are
-The ability to Exhaust with an addon
-The ability to injure with his husk if a survivor is unsuspecting of what it does
-The ability to reveal survivors upon reloading at a hook with an addon
-Can stay in this power for as long as he wants

    —-^This is on a 12s CD btw

This isn't even going into what he can do with his spikes:
-He can move at basically 115 out of OE which allows him to zone with a ranged projectile which instantly deals damage and puts survivors out of position
-Hook spikes give him perma aura reading
-Hook Spikes give him 10 percent hindered if the survivor tries to remove it
-Hook Spikes make his slugging MUCH stronger
    -Hook Spikes give him Mori's
-Hook Spikes can give him 13 percent haste
-Hook Spikes make survivors scream with addons (Particularly bs on hex builds)
-Hook Spikes reveal auras with addons
-Hook spikes punish body blocking with the ability to injure 2 survivors.
-Hook spikes can deny an entire team from exiting if a survivor is pinned
-Hook spikes can deny healing and give great pressure for that
    -Reloading is instant
-Reloading a hook spike can give him undetectable (requires an addon)
-Great tunnel potential because he can put a survivor into deep wound from a spike and they have to remove it, read the above, information on the tunneled survivor and a hinder potentially is awful
-Anti camp needs to deny him all teleport points by the hook at this point, like every other killer with this sort of denial

I could probably list more and more, especially perk synergy, but if you can't call this and overloaded toolkit thats basically on the levels of skully getting ######### for free, his spike hitboxes are massive, I'm gonna edit this to give you a video example, but the environment collision is small.

If you're new to live service games and call this balanced and not power crept, you're naive. I think everyone defending him rn is tonedeaf, I gave him a fair chance, but considering this is his early days and he is this effective… yeah no, his players are only going to get better.

So throw on BBQ, Tremors, or any of the plethora of aura perks and suddenly you have all the information you need.

Or just use your game sense to predict what gens survivors would be working on. You know, like most every other killer on the roster.

I can't think of a single killer that can't fundementally use their power without a perk. There isn't one. No amount of game sense changes the fact this would make is tp fundamentally useless, and now your shifting to "well you can run a perk which can allow you to get some value from your power". This is top tier rage baiting if I ever saw it

Again there are to many factors. If i play 100 matches and go against 100 teams that are here to meme about and have fun and im here to win then i will win all 100 games. But if i go against 100 teams that are playing to win then im not going to win all games and unlikely im gonna win over half of them.

What you fail to understand that a winstreak in this game means NOTHING. It shows no skill, it shows no accomplishment. All it shows is how unbalanced the MMR is in this game. It has nothing to do with how good or bad a killer is.

If you can't play a killer without all the information in the world constantly handed to you, and refuse to use perks to augment that weakness, its understandable why you're against balancing him.

when most of that list depends on addons and you can only run 2 at a time it falls apart.

When the rest is based on half truths trying to push a false narrative it falls even more apart.

Just say you can't read and move on LMFAO

  • i did read, you mentioned things like getting undetectable from grabbing a hook spike but failed to mention it requires an addons. It was the only instance.

Why would you do that for some but not all if you weren’t trying to inflate his toolkit to argue in bad faith. Which you are.
