DS nerf not mentioned in patch notes / Bug?

Me and my friends just went against a Spirit. She got hit by DS twice, both times the stun only lasted 2 or 3 seconds. Smth like that.

From hitting the skillcheck to her moving in not even 3 seconds.

Extreme DS nerf, not mentioned in patch notes.

  • Must be a certain killer thing thats gonna be a lot harder for them to pinpoint than it being enduring yiiikes I wouldnt expect this to be fixed ovenight for the sole fact that they need to go through every killer and see which ones it does this with .

    Me too lol

  • Its actually crazy how blind survivors are lol they dont even see the entitlement and favour of BH....

Ive been playing for about 6-8 months and ive seen it lots

I just let them assume and look foolish no point in starting an argument. This game from day one has been super leaned toward the survivor side. No entity blocker . Two windows at shack. Vault speed was half the speed it is now. Two pallets at every tile. ETC...

  • Hope they fix it soon, if they did nerf it hopefully they let us proc it multiple times.

Exactly, hopefully we get a fix for deadzones soon, it makes the game unfun for me as a killer, like there is no skill involved in just holding W and M1 when in range.

That is the reason why I tend to be "rude" here on the forums, there are nice people and there are bad ones, you can tell most of the time who is who.

I dont think deadzones are gonna be fixed new killer mains tend to complain. But then again so do survivor mains.

Finding the nice, reasonable people are definitely the ones I wish I could speak to more.

  • Why do people complain about a perk thats a 1 time thing and really only works if the survivor is tunneled? Also if the nurse is bugged then ive seen some pretty damn good nurses with it the past few days.

DS is supposed to stun for 3 secs (or 4, i forgot). It was buffed because of enduring, but never reverted back.

Nope it was buffed because it takes 2 seconds for the survivor to land on the ground,l and start sprinting, so effectively you are stunned for 3 seconds from the moment the survivor is not animation locked. Without that, ds itself would be completely useless.

Yet all thats been changed over the years. 1 window at shack, pallets being changed and some spots being a dead zone.

Which was fine, since 3 seconds, even without Enduring, was too short to gain distance at all.

Guess while this Bug is going on, we will say way more tunneling. Yay.

If I see someone using ds, and the bug is going on, and they also have meta perks, I'm gonna tunnel them to death hook. "Anti-tunneling" perk it just makes the killer want to go after you more

  • @OldHunterLight said:

Probably a bug that will be fixed within a week considering it's for the survivor side.

How long did the hill bug stick around for again?

You got that backwards huntress has large hitboxes because the devs dont know how to make them work without breaking them. Windows are latency . If the killer has good connection and the survivor does too dedicated hits wont happen.

Yes you are right the devs care more about killers right now. Its evident with our two recently reqorked maps. Badham having an absurd amount of breakable walls, short loops lack of loops. Shacks size was also decreased. Then you have yamaoka having just deadzones.

I love how they totally closed off the other two sides of the main badham building and I have yet to see a single killer break either wall lol. Maybe allow survivors to break walls if they are going to make walls the killers will never break?

My point exactly I used to actually enjoy badham quite a bit now that map has barely any loops the breakable walls neutered main building. The map while looking beautiful is #########.

  • I play both sides more equally than many (I'd say 60/40 surv/killer, red rank surv, in-between red/purple on killer). 5 second DS is PERFECTLY fine. Only change that should be done is the timer for activation. Make it 30 seconds out of chase, but when in chase the timer never depletes, bc if less than 30 seconds they're back on you and actually chasing you, that could be considered tunneling by a decent portion of players. That way, it truly says anti-tunneling and not used as a 60 second invincibility with unbreakable.

If you think it would still be overpowered, then you need to think a bit more about what the other side may deal with, and that it isn't about you (who may not slug/tunnel unless you winning relies on it).

Most survivors who think about the scenario for a second understand that if the killer is keeping 1 slugged, 1 on hook with 1 gen left and 4 players alive and they haven't slugged all game, they're not being an ass, they're just trying and salvage the game.

TLDR; Play both sides at least a little bit and experience both sets of frustration. Killer mains i.e. Otzdarva only play surv occasionally, but still understands crap randoms, and he shows empathy towards players in his matches that get sandbagged, etc.

Playing killer as a survivor main may have its struggles, but you have counterintelligence, and vice versa.

    Edit: autocorrect typos.

Yall had the rock bug for over a month.

  • Rock bug effected killers too.

And besides, last time DS was bugged, it was fixed within 2 days. Meanwhile, it took months for Wraiths post-uncloak lunge to be fixed.

But DS is not a Tunneling perk its ANtIMOmEntuM so they said devs.

  • How long has nurse been bugged again?

  • lmao, those killer mains crying ds is supposed to last 3 secs. No, just no. 3 sec stun, with 1 second to break free from the killer's grasp, making it essentially 2 seconds. That is a 5 second chase with a following M1 hit.

DS is supposed to be an anti-tunneling perk where the tunneled survivor has the chance to get to a pallet or structure.

If you cry about DS, stop tunneling lmfao

  • I mean they cant just snap their fingers and say Abra Cadabra its fixed. They need to find the root of the problem and then sort out whats causing it. Its not gonna be an easy fix every time a bug arises

And rightfully so. They are balancing the game to be more fair. One survivor shouldn't be as strong or stronger than the killer right??? The team as a whole should be of equal power to the killer. Are you trying to say they shouldn't have changed any of it? Im only pointing out how survivor sided the game used to be. I am not trying to say anything more

You get stuned by Ds for tunneling i get stuned for ds because im downing too quick and they need a momentum stoper

Not sure what you’re trying to prove with that fictional pic....

If killers have bugs with their power it shouldn’t take a genius to figure out that there’s probably a lot more work involved to fix them, for example the bugs with Nurse tend to be collision issues with objects on maps which will take a lot more time & resources to fix compared to a bugged perk.

I honestly hope this gets fixed soon. 5s stun was more like 3s anyway due to the time it takes to get off the killer’s shoulder. Now you barely gain any distance.

But why make it 5s and 2s to get off sholder just have a 3s stun. And almost instantly off. It just waists killers time

Its a bug. Along with another flashlight bug, movement bug, and hook bug. It only does that on certain killers though.

Devs said its not an antitunnel :)

  • I feel like there has to be a bug. I wiggled off of a Freddy's shoulder today and he was back on me within about 2-3 seconds when he should not have caught up. It was completely his fault too. He dropped me to get an exit gate open for blood warden.

  • DS is useless without 5 seconds stun. Killer mains complain about DS and how many addons and aura reading perks does killer have. BBQ Chille is so unfair than using DS against tunnelers .

Bbq rewards the Killer for doing his objective.

Ds rewards hookfarmers and survivors who are bad at chases.

Bbq rewards the Killer for doing his objective.

DS rewards the survivor to do the objective without dying. ( Specially when tunnel vision is activated on killer)

For example : Going against the doctor and if the doctor is tunneling and you are at madness tier 3 there is no way that you can heal yourself. DS comes handy in situations like this. That extra time would give you a chance to evade the killer and make distance and finally snapout of it.

Cant agree with your theory really. DS is good as it is.

Well why is the doctor tunneling? Did you selfcare under the hook? Are you having blendettes as a Team and he couldn't find anyone? Were you toxic? No BT while going for the unhook?

All cases where it isn't "tunneling" and the survivor is rewarded for being not good.

DS against Hardcore tunnelers is fine. But using it to do high risk plays without downsides is not what i call balanced.

On solo que thats what happens most of the time. Unlike western servers in Asian server most killers are hardcore tunnelers. DS is already good as it is and that's just my opinion and you have the right to your opinion too.

I think built to last is a perk that is not balanced and not DS. 4 people having built to last and with toolboxes a game could end extremely fast. Using a red key and tracking killers location using built to last would be so unbalanced and unfair to the killer too.
