Fix slugging for the 4k

The practice of slugging the third person and waiting out the bleed out timer to try to ensure there's no hatch escape is completely killer sided and lacks counterplay.

The game won't end normally with two survivors left and all the options for the last survivor only appear after the third one is dead.

I think that doubling or tripling the bleed out timer when there are only two survivors left would do wonders because it actually puts pressure on the killer to hook instead of leaving them slugged. And it makes the game end faster when the killer holds the game hostage by waiting out the bleed out timer when the last two survivors are both are slugged

You sound like an entitled survivor who gets mad because someone slugged you, my objective every time I sign in is to make your experience awful. I paid my money and NO your game experience isn’t my problem nor is it anyone’s problem. The sooner you get that through your head the better, I will teabag your dead body, I will camp your hook, I will tunnel each person I find, I want the other players experience to be as awful as possible.

Wow!!! Nice attitude to have. If you're that way about a video game, you must be loads of fun in real life..... #self-absorbed

If both sides deserve an equal opportunity to win, how is slugging for the 4k supporting that?

It's circumventing the odds for the survivor to find the hatch and stacking the deck in the killer's favor

Bring up the issue when they address the fact that 3 survs can escape via hatch at one time with 1 key.

Not really sure why Killers feel so entitled to a 4k, there should always be a chance for a survivor to escape, even if its not that high. The hatch mechanics by themselves are still killer sided because all killers have faster movement speed so they can cover more ground searching for it

If they played well enough to be in a position to get a 4k, they may well deserve it. Especially if you get to higher ranks.

I would also like for them to fix survivors DCing for an instant hatch, but that's never going to happen.

  • You cannot stop a killer going for a 4k if that is what they are aiming for.

    They are the killer!

Maybe just accept that, that particular game didnt go your way and move on? @gatsby

Also, other users have made some good suggestions regarding dealing with slugging scenarios.

    Good luck! ;)

Well that’s the entire point really. People have accepted that they’ve lost and they want to move on but need to wait upwards of 4 minutes before being allowed to do so.

And survivors need to learn that they do not deserve to escape. So we are back at square one. Thanks for participating, have a nice day.

Ehm no. The TE thinks he deserves a 4k, but noone deserves anything besides the chance to escape/kill. So if he didnt get the 4th kill, thats how it is, but the TE wants to get the 4th kill for free.

  • I love coming on here and seeing everyone crying about killer sided or survivor sided.

You will cry and cry instead of just playing the game.

All these perks you call over powered or mechanics you don't like like hatch.

Just cry about them instead of playing the game and accepting that some games and gonna be hard and some easy.

If the killers is crying because he only killed 3 people. Hate to tell you but that's a win.

Survivors crying about being slugged run the perks to get up or crawl to hatch then.

Either play the game without moaning about every single match you play or just go play the SIMs and you wont have yo worry.

People on this game can't handle a bit of pressure.

And yes I play other sides of the game.

There are counterplays: Unbreakable, Flip-Flop, Boil Over...

Holding games hostage in its own is reportable. Itd be best to just report that person and move on

Umm. Thats not holding the game hostage tho..

I lurk alot on the forums and one thing ive learned is, so many people don't understand what taking the game hostage means for some reason.

  • D/c penalty hasn't stopped people from managing this tactic, it just means they're playing less xD

  • Okay, let's just make the game survivor sided again 🙂

  • Agreed, fix slugging for the 4k. Remove the hatch. Make EGC start when the last survivor is left.

So you're entitled to a free win mechanic? At least the Killer actually has to put effort into getting the 4k, you can still drag yourself while slugged, you can still recover and heal a dying survivor from dying state, and you can still take perks to get back up out of dying, or make it more manageable.

The Killer literally has nothing to counter the hatch mechanic - other than slugging the third survivor, because if they put that survivor on the hook - most they are going to suicide to give the last player the hatch, especially if they had already found it, and even more likely if they are in a SWF.

And don't give me that "you can look for the hatch first, then finish the game" or "You can just find the hatch first VS the last survivor". So you're telling me that when the Survivors fail to complete their objective, I have to play a dumb game of scavenger hunt for the victory I have already put the effort into achieving? Why? Because survivors were taking the game hostage by hiding?

The entire premise of the mechanic is stupid, and the dev's made a terrible decision in giving a free win mechanic as a resolve to survivors taking the game hostage by hiding when things didn't go their way.

Ot maybe don't get hit down. Get good. Use unbreakable, flip flop, tenacity, no mither, buckle up there all slugging counter play.

Don’t get hit....why didn’t anybody ever think of that.

The only perk you mentioned there which would be truly effective in that scenario is Unbreakable and that’s a 1 time use.

  • So you don't want killers to maximize their chance of a 4k if they play really good and just depend on RNG and hope they find hatch first.

Hatches are already survivors crutches, you and your team have effectively lost and doing gens at this point is impossible so the game is being nice and allowing you one last chance of escaping. Get slugged before that? tough.

I already think they're not killer sided enough since a survivor can earn some escapes by doing no gens, hiding in a locker and being lucky to have hatch spawn near them.

So yes, If a killer is playing better than you and completely dominates you while you play like a potato then you're don't deserve to get an escape.

Killers need to learn, that they not deserve to get 4k.

Survivors do need to learn, they dont have the right to escape. see the point?

  • nor does every survivor deserve to escape

Hatch is so unfair though, especially with keys. "Can't beat this killer! Press a button and win!"

Not sure why you are so entitled to an escape since... Ya know... Neither said is entitled and deserve AN escape or a 4k. They have the right to try to get it. Not a high chance to have one side escape and the other the low chance to get the other 4k.

ironic that you say that... considering that youve said "dont fall for it "In regards to a survivor trying to bait you into grabbing them to hit you with DS and get a free unhook or break your totem.
