Why dont killers have second perks? like one to spawn another gen to be done or one that resets the exit gate progression

Killers have much more second chance perks than survivors; games are more killer-sided than survivors.

No One Escapes Death, Blood Warden, Remember Me, Fire Up, Make Your Choice, Barbecue & Chili, Rancor, Nemesis, and Whispers.

Games are not killer sided at high ranks.

And I don't think you know the definition of second chance. Bbq and chili, make your choice and whispers dont fit the category.

Really? Remember me & Fire Up are pointless, Rancor gives u a mori instead of a hook, but...

Why the hell should all this perks, especially BBQ, MYC or Whispers be "second chance" - perks? Endgame perks are endgame perks, like Adrenaline, Hope or Wake Up.

I would agree with Spirit Fury (u would get stunned but the pally brakes instead)

In todays gen rush world Fire Up is not pointless. Gens are flying and the perk only gets better the more gens are done

Noed: gives kills if you aren't good enough to kill all survivors before they do gens.

Bamboozle: closes windows so you don't have to bother anymore, and you can play without trying to mindgame them

Enduring+spirit fury: basically gives you a free hit, or a free down if you are a killer that has instadown, like billy. Someone said to me that you can counter that by throwing every pallet before the killer is in the stun area. Ok then, good luck wasting every pallet on the man, I'm curious to see what happens when there will be no pallets anymore.

Mori: basically gives you a free win, unless you have many holes in the brain

Broken addons, like red hatchets: same as mori

Map offerings: allow you to play the map you want, even one that's extremely favourable for you.

Spirit: requires very little skill, compared to other killers. And, apart from specific perks like iron will and quick and quiet, has no counters.

    So, were you saying?

how is bamboozle a second chance perk? also noed only works if the survivors allow it to. enduring really isnt a second chance perk , I would agree spirit fury is. and like waffles said I asked for perks not killers.

  • I wouldn't really say killers have second chance perks that are "meta" outside of NOED, and NOED is not a meta perk, at least not to good killers, though it can be used on any killer and is good, so you could call it one.

Generally they just have perks that help with specific things. Help with tracking. Help with gen management. Help with dealing with pallets/chase. They also have a power.

Yes, but it doesn't change the fact that Survivors have second chance perks and the Killer doesn't.

Killer doesn't have a perk that grants him immunity from getting stunned.

Spirit Fury requires you to go through 3 pallets, which can cost you 2-3 gens just to get one use of the perk.

For survivors they get a second chance when they are injured, when they are unhooked, when they complete generators, when they do nothing but hide in a locker.

Killer's also don't have perks that just let them straight up ignore windows. Which is why I suggest a perk called "X Gon' Give It To Ya" that when the killer vaults a window he breaks through it instead leaving a door.

BHVR likes perks that band-aid remedy things so they have time to fix the problem later. This is a very good band-aid remedy that is also frightening.

2 pallets at tier 3 unless you never got it past tier 2

haunted grounds isnt a second chance perk, remember me is not a second chance perk, you're literally injuring a survivor and you could also kill them (your main objective)rancor is an informational perk , blood warden rarely comes into play (what with people 99 gates). NOED is all up to the survivors.

  • Noed, maby blood warden, alittle bit of rancor. Though the "second chance" perks killers have are completely counterble. Unlike certain survivor perks such as adrenaline with the gen speeds, dead hard if used optimally, DS at certain occasions especially during endgame and many other subjective subjects.

DS and BT are all up to the killers...

  • I think it would be cool if the killer had the option to restore a totem, but would need to take twice as long as cleansing it

  • right.... because a survivor body blocking with BT is up to the killer .... right .... and DS during the endgame is up to the killer lol.

    Yup

  • NOED and Bloodwarden are definitely second chance perks, but that is all they have, and they are not as strong as the survivor second chance perks.

Man can you imagine if there was a perk that just....un-did a generator and put it back to like 50% or something, even if like DS it was once per match how stupid strong that would be? Haha xD

  • Perks like Noed is a “second chance perk” because it gives the killer more power at the end of the match which is meant to help kill the other survivors, things like blood warden is also a “second chance perk” because the killer literally gets to block the way to escape an win the match like thats really good if the killer knows how to use it, also remember me extends the time of the exit gate opening so its harder to open, so the killer does have perks for endgame so I dont know why killers are complaining

Saying that noed isn't crutch because survivors can "do bones" before it activates is just stupid. If they do bones they already lose time, giving you advantage. But that's a thing that almost never happens. So don't say noed isn't crutch if 1 match out of 100 survivors get rid of it before the end game. That's what happens: good survivors won't do totems because they know it's a loss of time; bad survivors will lose before the end game, especially if they do totems.

Never had a totem ever spawn in unreachable spots I think you need to fix your game because you are WRONG

I'm not. No need to yell, you'll see complaints about it all the time in noed threads. People were really complaining about it during tome 1 when there were challenges to break totems and break totems in one game.

Also, fix my game how? Like get a CS degree, patiently keep applying at bhvr while working entry level CS jobs to get work experience to bolster my resumé, and then hopefully one day, have the ability to fix these totem spawns so I can quit and go back to playing? That sounds like not only a long shot, but a large burden to put on me. I propose you fix my game sir if you think it's a problem.

    Thanks in advance!

Wrong good survivors will ensure that never comes into play therefore not a true second chance perk.

Then it's still kinda second chance since they wasted time on totems instead of gens. No matter what, noed will always be a second chance.

noed is no chance, break the skull and run to exit

bloodwarden survivors hide far away from exit until they can run through

how is this giving a killer a second chance when it can be broken or planned against?

can killers stop survivors second chance perks from working, such as unbreakable and adrenaline?

i think it's about time they can!

  • Either they cleanse all 5 totems and u as killer got more time to pressure gens (second chance) or they don't and noed kicks in (second chance).

Very simple, it's like 1+1. That difficult for you to do this little conclusion Buddy?

  • This is beyond cringe to read. Blood Warden a second chance perk? The perk that only triggers from doing your own objective at a certain part of the match?

  • @JarMa13 said:

Because killers are already so OP that it wouldn't be fair.

Is there a survivor perk that allows only 4 gens to trigger exit gates?

This game is designed so killers have such a huge advantage that killing survivors is inevitable. The goal then, is for survivors to fix gens and escape before that eventual, inevitable kill occurs.

    That is the game.

When I hear killers complain I get so confused. Are we playing the same _? In addition to the game being absurdly killer advantaged, killers are almost always toxic jerks who use their advantage to bully other players, ruin everyone's fun, and just be all around dbags.

I usually get 4k unless I let them go. I have had a few matches where survivors fix gens so fast I'm astonished, but they usually are absolutely massacred so badly that I feel guilty about being so OP.

But I also wonder if killers have unrealistic expectations.

    How it SHOULD BE IS:

Sometimes you get 4k. SOMETIMES, you get NONE. Sometimes 1,2, or 3 and you average out at 2 kills per match.

    THAT is a successful match.

If 4k every time is your goal, you will feel it's unfair.

Altho. That's possible, too if you practice. I always get 4k.

You are very very very misguided in your thinking if you believe this game isnt extremely survivors sided

  • @PigNRun said:

Getting unhooked is the survivor objective, so is escaping through the exit gates. Hooking a survivor is the killer objective, so is downing survivors and picking them up.

NOED has turned thousands of 0ks into quick and sudden 4ks over the course of the years. Therefore it's as much of a 2nd chance as a perk can be regardless of whether it can be cleansed or not. It's called second chance and not second guarantee for a reason. No one says a chance WILL get you something - only that there's a POSSIBILITY to get something. As for Adrenaline it doesn't turn 4ks into 0ks. At least I've never experienced such a scenario in 3 years of playing mostly killer at any rank. Not one single time. Therefore bad comparison in my opinion even if Adrenaline has the same potential. It's just not likely to have the same impact on average especially if we're talking about a bunch of solo survivors who can't pop Adrenaline coordinatedly.

Think what you want anyways. It's fine to have different opinions.

LMAO the gates are on and everyone died ? Hahaha they can just walk out that's not noed's fault they could have walked out any time.

NOED - Just do the totems take almost 10s and there's four survivors on the map each one can clean one and someone get the other, remeber me? you're just kidding, fire up? how it's so powerfull the 15% actio speed i get so many 4k because of that, BBQ it1s second? rancor almost useless? whispers it's tracking perk you're probrably a bad survivor and killer

you realise the person you just replied too is banned right? meaning you won't get a response..

  • @NullEXE said:

Lol NOED, Bloodwarden, Remember Me, Rancor, and all these perks are not "Second Chance Perks" they are "End Game Perks". Perks that make it so that you have barely a chance during EGC.

Killer has some perks that grant immunity but they have ridiculous conditions. Like Spirit Fury - You have to take 3 pallets to the head before you can break 1 pallet. When getting hit by 3 pallets could cost you 2-3 generators.

Other than that Killer has nothing but Perks they use to balance the game.

By that logic, Adrenaline is also an End game perk, not a second chance perk .

  • The term second chance perks is stupid to begin with.

Killer leaves me on the ground bored and I pick myself up..... that's the killers fault for leaving me there.

Killer tunnels me and gets hit with DS....... that's the killers fault for not going after the person who unhooked me or the other two people on the map who are probably having a jolly old time doing gens while you deny someone the chance to play. (yes, I'm aware there are situations where people don't intend to tunnel but let's be real, I play killer as well and we know who just came off the hook and who hasn't so yall can miss me with that "I didn't mean to tunnel" lie. You knew what you were doing)

Soul Guard (weak perk, but okay let's go there) Killer slugged me and decided not to hook me, I spent however long it takes me to recover and then someone picked me back up and withing 4 SECONDS, you try to hit the person back down who just got off the ground.... you deserve to get caught by that perk

Adrenaline - If yall aren't counting NOED, Rancor, Remember Me as second chance perks, than you aren't allowed to count Adrenaline as one either. Operates on the same end game conditions.

Mettle of Man - Instantly became a joke and stopped getting used after launch but sure let's go there too. I have to take not 1, not 2, but 3 protection hits (which also means I have to heal myself up at some point to take enough hits) then the next time I would go down, I get BT. Trash

  • And to address the reason that killers supposedly don't have "second chance perks" (They do: NOED, Bloodwarden, Rancor, Spirit Fury, Remember Me, Unrelenting)

Pretty simple answer here. You have powers and a weapon.
