Something telling us when we are going against swf.

Something lots of games have and this one not Is the possibility of playing solo or in coms With Even different servers probably not possible here but at least a mark above survivors head indicating who are in coms could he helpfull to know if i'm going against solo or swf. If i want to have a chill Game and playing a weak killer to have fun or do meme builds probably i don't want to play a 4 man microphones squad With no sense coordination so could be Nice to add that.

How about no. I'd like to be able to play the game with my friends and not be punished for it through being morid every game.

how about yes? how about knowing if i need to try hard a game with op addons and killer or have a chill game?. how about not getting stressed as killer? because you as survivors dont know what stress is, IS WAY TOO EASY playing survivor specially on coms.

  • imagine calling noed a sweat perk when it has one of the easiest counterplays in the history of dbd wich aswell gives you 1k points for holding a button. JUST IMAGINE, rancor? i never used that perk in my life, MORIS? barely unless i know those guys becasue they beated me before, if not almost never. so no.

this is actaully very easy and should be implemented this wouldnt make survivors play less as SWF because dodging, this would allow the killer to prepare better so they dont get bullied cause they decided to play an E tier killer. i dont want to bring a top 5 killer every single match cause of the potential red ranks swf i could get.

  • Sure killers would never dodge if they knew they were facing a 4 man SWF. /s

It does matter. Not because balance changes ought to be based on the majority, but because we're not talking about balance changes. We're talking about giving killers the opportunity to dodge groups which they assume are going to be sweaty tryhards, and I'm pointing out that statistically that's an incorrect assumption to make, nine times out of ten.

Well BHVR made sure that it isn't about the majority as you can see with the nurse changes since she was the worst performing killer over all ranks, just not in red ranks. I doubt that most people who play killer would have a problem playing against swf when the game wouldn't be so survivorfavored.

Game balance isn't really the topic of this thread, though. We shouldn't derail it by talking about other stuff that wasn't discussed in the OP.

    Reasonable.

But I guess this is also syptome of the issue i spoke about.

At the start of the game: Just no. Because killer tends to infinitely dodge those groups, cause killers are scaredy cats regarding SWF. After the Game would be okay, cause this would open up their eyes that there werent any Squads or they even lost to four better Solos, so they have to face reality and not their own illusion of running every game into perfectly doing SWF-Squads.

Try to play solo or as killer against SWF and then you speak. Love these teen baby maining survivors who actually never played killer at red ranks.

Sometimes if you queue up with just one other friend, you will get loaded up with another duo at the same time. The killer ends up seeing all 4 people join the lobby at the same time, thinking we are a 4 man and they dodge. It can even happen as a solo. The game just finds people and throws them into a killer lobby all at once. Last night I had to wait for almost an hour for a match because the killer kept dodging thinking we were a 4 man SWF...it was really annoying because I didn't have much time before I had to go to sleep for work the next day...

Adding a feature like this, I'm not sure if it would make the problem worse or better...

Ah yes, the classic "only killers get stressed". Say that to your hearts desire, but I play with my rank 17 friend, so it's about as good as playing solo que, which is extremely frustrating. The majority of SWF are people looking to play with their friends, not sweat their asses off and play like the Depip Squad.

This thread had nothing to do with balancing Solo players to SWF players by having the killer know who is in a SWF group. That doesn't even make sense. Maybe i misunderstood.

This is another doomsday response of oh all the killers will dodge lobbies. Again lobby dodgers would get punished and there are a lot of killers out there that won't want to wait the extra time or wont even dodge lobbies.

As for queue up and get better. Think about it this way. Spirit is being nerfed because there was no counter play/wasnt enough downside to her powers and add ons, Legion and Nurse same thing. SWF is a massive feature in the game that only provides an advantage, there is no disadvantage or compromise for the killer. This isn't about "getting gud". This is about balance and maintaining the balance that has been previously set about when there is a advantage in a certain area there should be some sorta disadvantage/compensation in another area.

SWF play with voice comms which i already stated in my previous post, survivors dont have to even be sweaty to benefit from it. There should be a disadvantage/compensation like the killer knowing they are grouped up with friends so the killer can prepare better. I dont understand how that compromise is mind boggling to some people.

Or maybe someone can open my mind to a disadvantage of playing in a SWF group with voice comms?

Being an experience killer and survivor, i have never had a problem.

If they game is balanced around red ranks, then you should be having trouble with a full team of experience players regardless. swf's , comms or not.

That's why they are top ranks, and even solo players as survivor can run a killer for 5 gens. Have 3 more of these players that aren't friends or communicating and it makes absolutely no difference .

  • It's buffed Bitter Murmur plus a free Ivory Mori.

  • @Warlock_2020 said:

Plain and simple no. Killers will just dodge lobbies. Then hardcore SWF will dodge till they get the same lobby as solo players like they did back in the early days. It will make lobbies a pure nightmare for everyone.

Edit: It would be as disastrous as if we let survivors see what killer is selected. They would dodge like crazy.

While I sympathize that playing killer is frustrating, notifying the killer wouldn’t work. True sweaty SWF will lobby spam until they find each other and que times will suffer. The only answer is to balance the game around SWF, which means helping out solos.

  • That literally nobody uses because it's shite compared to Whispers and BBQ. I'd even say Bittet Murmur is better. You're nuts.

  • If they are going to continue to let SWF be a thing then they need to give the killer some kind of balance ability to counter act the voice coms they use. With coms SWF can tell where the killer is so they should give the killer an ability to track auras kind of like scratches mirror Myers. Just my opinion.
