One question tho...
What happens to leftover BBQ Invitations?

Could we get a translation of the Japanese speech in this video?

After having my ass kicked by a 3 team SWF team who absolutely positively didn't use mics?!?
Here's what I'd like to see. Being forewarned let's you be prepared. In the lobby, I wanna know who has joined my lobby as a team of survivors: either a team of 2, 2&2, 3&1, or (dear God) a team of 4. This at least let's me know that I might need to bring out my big-gun add ons.
The thing is that SWF gives knowledge to the survivors, balance that knowledge out by giving information to the killer.
Does that seem fair? -
I thought the PTB would have a separate economy from the main game?
-
My question is, are the Devs going to open up the PTB and let us try to figure everything out? Or will they discuss the changes and then let us in?
-
I played Suffocation Pit of the MacMillan Estate the other day. One of the survivors offered a New Moon Bouquet so the whole map was pitch black. It scared the hell outta me... and I was the killer!?!

I think for me (being a HUGE FAN of the original Nightmare movies) Freddy does not have the sense of "play" that Robert Englund brought to the part. I think that your suggestions @CursingSun start to bring that "am I awake, or am I asleep" theme from the films. If you're up against Freddy, then you should have a greater sense of DOUBT about how effective you're completing generators.
Now how to balance that all out... I dunno. But I like the way you're thinking.

-
If you penalized a killer for being too close to a hook (sorry I'm not clear on what kind of radius you were thinking) couldn't survivors simply camp the hook, and then save the victim once the killer was exhausted for an easy escape?
-
I'd love to see some stats on HOW FAST gens are getting completed for the different ranks of play. If 3 GENs are getting completed in under 4 minutes then something is seriously wrong. (I'm just guessing on time here because I'm nowhere near high enough rank.)

I hear ya, but to be fair thats just his opinion. His content is great in my opinion, as is his knowledge of the game and its mechanics.I love his gameplay videos. I just think he goes out of his way to say Doc and Hag are bad without learning them fully and it leaves a bad impression. Full respect for him though, he was a part of what got me playing.
It's not so much that he says that Doc and Hag are "bad". It seems like most of his killer comparisons are based on perks only, and does not consider add-ons. Doc with the right add-ons is lethal. I'm assuming you're also finding that true for hag (tho I have yet to play her). I like that he's basing this on making an "easier" kind of comparison, but you're right. He doesn't take into account ALL of the different BUILDS for each killer. That would be a LOT of work... and also I think it would be very hard to compare because of all of the different playstyles associated with each sort of killer build.
I hope that makes sense... and I hope I've represented Mr. Tyme in the best possible way.

Cheers!

Yeah! Watching his videos got me started! Huge fan!

Yeah I was dropped into a game with my main doctor and the survivors just felt really slow. So I took it easy on em. I gave them some easy chases to build up their confidence. I let them finish off three of the remaining four generators to get them down to one left. There were two 20s left at this point, and then one of them T-bagged me so I quickly hooked him which left the one guy. He was freaking out so I smacked him down and then dropped him on the hatch. At first he tried crawling away (lol) then I picked him up and put him back on the hatch again. Second time was the charm and he escaped.
He ended up getting 24K bloodpoints so that should give him a good start on his build. I tried to talk to him afterwards, if he wanted to play with an easier killer but he took off. I hope that he takes my friend request to play again.
And hopefully he'll stick around to play some more.

Wear the dorkiest clothes so that nobody would want to play as me. 😉

I'm going with "The Magician".

Emote would be a lot of work, but might fit under the category for microtransaction content. What do you think Devs?
-
What kind of hacking were you experiencing.

This is a great question, and makes, me wonder what will be the experience of the new players this weekend. The thing is that a toxic player base will scare off any hope of getting new ppl into the game. I think the tutorials will help, but will not help grow the DbD player base. This game will only be supported so long as there is an audience of players. I'm curious to know if our numbers go up in the next week from this weekend.

I seriously thought that the new killer was some kind of doppelganger (with all those different fingers). This would be a very cool dynamic and save the team on new killer art. 😉Doctor_Derek said:I'd make a werewolf that can look like one of the survivors, even pretend to help with gens. Wait for the best moment to transform and then KILL. The mori would just rip them to shreds American Werewolf in London style!
Or put some kind of eye effect like something from the movie Oculus, when the killer has been revealed. -
The only thing I would add is that it is next to impossible to detect when (as a 15+ year game developer) ppl are using some forms of voice communication. Even if you consider ppl playing in the same room over a shared network. But perhaps survivors should make more noise when they move in a group? Just spitball'n.
