  • Why couldn't new original killers/survivors be free. Games like overwatch 2 are able to release new hero's for free while then making their money from a battle pass and cosmetic shop which DbD also has on top of having licensed killers/survivors AND the game having a $20 price tag. Atleast as time goes older original killer and survivors become free to all players which would help the new players to DbD

  • Just some feedback on this if you care

    ---Power---

Interesting power but a little vague. First making him able to destroy undropped pallets is way too strong. Players would immediatly start setting god pallets on fire. The only way to counteract this would be to make things on fire shown to all survivors via aura but still that may not work. Also How long does it take to set things on fire and how do you do it. Also if im correct then dbd's overlay only shows one prompt at once unless its a secondary action. So how would you make "throw down burning pallet" and "put it out" display at the same time. Another thing is why does putting out a flame make you gain the SCORCHED effect but throwing down a burning pallet not.

    ---Killer Perks---

When they least expect it: Seems unhealthy for the game and will only encourage slugging

Greed: Make it the first time someone opens a chest since you can't calculate once per trial.

Diminishing Light: Seems weak. At best you gain 18 meters to your terror radius and aura reading abilites since game ends once all 4 survivors are dead. But also with 3 dead the last will just be looking for hatch so it wont help much. so realistically you will only get 12 meters to terror radius and aura reading abilites on average to get use out of this perk. Seem like it needs a buff or rework

    ---Survivor Perks---

I will find you: How do you clear it and how long will it take. Also again seems underpowered since most things that the killer blocks will tell them you cleared it(Corrupt, thrilling, etc) or will just come back again very soon(Crowd control, bamboozle, etc). Another things is it cant tier up which is a problem

Alone never again: Seems good I have no problem with it.

Can't lose focus: Seems ok since this can help with group healing and also wont be too bad for gen rushing since it requires a gen to be done first.

Chapter seems fine just would need some tweaks. Sorry if I seemed rude throughout this

Same thing is happening to me on all the survivors I've played recently. About 1 cake to 3 blood webs. And all of the yellow and brown "surprise boxes" have reverted back to yellow and brown add ons. Was getting a lot of anniversary items before

Now that you mention this I did level up trickster at the start but just noticed this with Kate recently so they might have readjusted the spawn rate of cakes

    @VESSEL said:

I've noticed that Killer webs have way more Cakes than Survivor webs. I put this down to the fact that survivors also have the new items which i find sort of annoying. I honestly couldn't care less about the new items.

This could also be the cause and how survivors have more addons and items

  • I don't hate it but I do thoroughly dislike it. As someone who plays trapper a lot dh can be so annoying if someone just dashes over my one way trap forcing me to walk in it myself to continue the chase and give them a lot of time or forces me to give up the chase because its not worth it.

Also on some maps like midwich ill always just stay upstairs to 3 gen and always trap the entrance to the room with a gen and only 1 entrance because it forces the survivors to disarm the trap to get to the gen. However with dead hard they can get to the gen unnoticed and since I didnt get the trap disarm notice I wont check on the gen leading to me losing the match.

  • yep ran into this too when I was playing lery's hope they fix it soon

    Not quite.

It doesn't reduce the time to cleanse a totem by 20%, it increases your cleansing speed by 20%.

You start out with a 20% speed boost, which results in a 11.6 second cleanse, and finish with a 100% speed boost, resulting in a 7 second cleanse.

my bad dude. I just assumed total time to cleanse would be the same as cleansing speed

  • nah its working its just you 20% faster only shaves off 2.8 seconds of the total 14 meaning you cleanse it in 11.2 seconds instead of 14

  • I feel like this perk isn't as bad as most people say. Its good if you can blind the whole team making teamwork much harder. This also counters tons of survivor perks such as Empathy, Kindred, Object of Obsession, Alert, Dark sense, Detectives hunch, Deja vu, Better Together, Visionary, etc. Great for scrambling and disabling a bunch of helpful solo player perks and their minuscule teamwork. Even though it shows hook notification it still doesn't last nor does it show distance. Can be helpful against solos but isn't nearly as effective against syf

It's either because the post is edited or because too many are being posted in a short period of time. Until your account is manually verified this will continue to happen I'm afraid and it's there to prevent forum spam - something we had an issue with a while back.

Your posts are getting held for review until a moderator manually reviews them.

How can I get manually verified so this stops happenening

You probably posted too many times within a small amount of time.

How many times it to many times also lemme test the quotes again. Its 5:14

  • @OniWantsYourMacaroni Some things ive noticed is

-when im turning with high sens its much more smooth so I rarely get 360'd now

-Hits that apply status effects now no longer create a 1 second freeze such as a gf marked stab, dh expose, sloppy.

-Same with survivor and how if I would get hit by someone with sloppy I would have a 1 second freeze and now my extra speed from getting hit is useless.

-Bloodlust would make me lose frames once activated making chases hard once it activates now it works fine and even helps me.

-Hags switch would also create a small fps drop leading to hitting survivors much harder and also with a hag teleporting when I'm survivor making it almost a guaranteed hit for the hag. I don't know about this one since I haven't played hag yet nor faced one yet.

-Finally nurses blinks would drop some fps after a blink making tracking a hit hard even with a precise blink. Also dont know since I haven't played her again yet.

A good chunk of these struggles have been fixed for me.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/228047/hatch-needs-reworked

What's the point in double pipping or trying to get a 4k that desperately. I like to just let the game play out if they get the hatch then that's fine. It's shouldn't need reworked just because you don't get a double pip. This is literally the issue with this game is the pip system, everyone just sweats and stuff and takes it way too seriously than they should instead of just trying to play the game out and then if someone does get hatch then move on to the next game and the last survivor might not get hatch. I like having a challenge as Killer at the end with the last survivor.

Its not a challenge tho if Its all RNG. Also I like pipping since im somewhat competitive. Not everyone wants to only play this casual. Also Im losing out on bloodpoints if I used something like a survivor pudding or BPS. I just don't get why I need to be the one to take a hit if I was the one who did good

  • @Fantasy said:

So slug like the rest of the killers who care about getting the 4K...

But why should I need to. Also I've tried this and it just doesn't work. Since I have to go look for the last survivor the one slugged can either get picked back up by their teamate or hell they'll just use unbreakable

  • I find the smaller maps much more enjoyable since before the larger maps make the finding and downing a survivor so long that by the time you get your first hook 2-3 gens have finished. The Smaller maps make it so its usually only 1 gen finished by the time I find and down a survivor

  • Day 1 Xbox 1 @OniWantsYourMacaroni (Sorry for not quoting you its just when I quote it always waits like 15 minutes before approving the comment)

  • I also noticed this. As I now can use sloppy butcher without my game becoming unplayable. Also bloodlust actually helps me now instead of dropping my frames to 5 fps.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    But why?

Most likely due to how it encourages slugging and camping hook since you can go away from hook with charlotte then just camp right next to it with victor or how if you use viktor then your perks don't even matter. Also how viktor is just so annoying to play against when he sneaks up to you and latches on and then charlotte comes in to finish you. overall a very unfun killer to play as and against

  • Theres usually three types of players in the face camping bubba strategy in my opinion

-The "If I cant beat them join them"

After getting face camped multiples times and survivor may feel like they want to play killer and upon realising their not very good off the bat switch to the strategy they know that has killed them many times over of face camping hook.

    -The "toxicity breeds more toxicity"

This can be from being a bad killer or simply trying to unlock the great bbq and chili. After being hammered match after match as a poor bubba or hell any killer and get messages from survivors that include telling them to uninstall the game or to go kill themselves so they can finally get a kill. They get desperate and go into making sure as hell they get that kill and facecamp. Now they will either eventually stop and move onto a better killer or continue there ways on a quest to make more of the "if you can't beat them join them" therefor completing the circle of toxicity

-The "I want to watch the world born"

These guys are the true devils of this world and do this for the pure satifaction of ruining others days. Truly despicable

  • I see what you're saying but I feel like NoeD should'nt be that much of a problem.

    1. It doesn't have a built in old undying. Sure if you want to prevent it and cleanse all 5 dull totems prematurely but you shouldn't need to.
    2. If its only for bad players then it wouldn't be at all effective. Once the survivors find out NoeD has been activated they can all spread out to search for it remembering where the totems were or use perks like small game. Once its knocked out they should be easily able to rescue their teammate from the bad killer.
    3. This can be versatile with an endgame build like Noed, Remember me, blood warden, and undying. This perk doesn't need to be a crutch but can also be a powerful tool. Some say its toxic running an endgame build but in my opinion its the opposite. The games not over until everyones left the trial either through escaping or sacrificing. Also perks like bloodwarden and NoeD are the opposite of toxic. They would never work if survivors left immediately instead of t-bagging in the exit gates. The games not over until you escape. As a killer its my job to kill you all and as long as your still in the game I can use anything I want that the game gives me to accomplish that objective

This is just my opinion on how this perk isn't just a crutch for bad people but an actual perk that can be used strategically since I feel too many survivor feel like the game is over once all 5 gens are done and the killer should just give up and be humiliated with flashlight clicks and t-bags instead of hunting them down till the very end

I never said it was do to the map....i said "prior to the update" lol cmon guy

I said it didn't have anything to do with the post above. The post is talking about the new map but you started talking about the update lol

  • @goldenchild74 said:

Also the the hitboxes feel ridiculous! Getting hit from far away. It was never like tht prior to the update.

This has nothing to do with the map rework. Yes it is the updates fault that came along with the map reworks but it isnt the map. Theres going to be a hotfix soon enough but the map probably isnt going to change for a while. Also the hitbox issue or serverlag issue affects the game not a map specifically

  • Yikes thats a pretty deadly build dovah with the instadown behind them

  • Right now it seems like there is a problem with the pips since I have lost 2 pips for losing a match, gained 4 pips for double pipping or have lost pips from a dc game. After a while it should go back to normal and if it doesn't tough luck I guess. Only thing we can do is wait for a hotfix at the moment

I understand your problem. I want you to understand that the simplicity and shortness of my advice is not me being snarky. Stop doing that. That's it. That is all you have to do to solve your problem. Cut your chases off. You clearly have not internalized the basics of knowing when to cut off a chase. I won't chase someone for more than twenty seconds unless I have the luxury of already being in the process of curb-stomping a team. Two minutes is TOO LONG ninety-nine percent of the time. Even when you have the luxury of chasing someone that long, why do it? You would literally be able to catch them faster by letting them get away and then starting the chase over on better terms.

There aren't a lot of purposes to chases. They serve only to:

    1. Down a target.
    2. Run a target off an objective.
    3. Herd a target to where you want them to go.

So if you can't down the target in twenty seconds, why continue? It doesn't take long to do any of these three things. If it is taking longer, you have other fish to fry. There are other Survivors who might not be as good at Looping or aren't currently in safe terrain. Do you see where I'm going with this? There is a diminishing return on chases which goes into negative territory really fast. So, get better at NOT starting a chase you can't end quickly in the first place, and knowing when to cut them off.

Why cant I ever respond to you guys since all my comments have to get approved but don't seem to be getting aprroved

  • @Crowman said:

If you are going to drop chase with a survivor, make sure you have somewhere to go. Dropping a chase and then spending another minute walking around is not productive and you would have better off chasing the survivor who was giving you a run around. At least you can get pallets out of the way sticking to a chase.

My only problem with this is if I dont leave them I lose 2-3 gens usually. That puts me at a disadvantage with only one hook with 2-3 gens left. But ill try this out. Also is there a way to turn off bloodlust

  • @Malum_Midnight said:

Each situation varies, but I usually hear people say: “If you reach Bloodlust 1 and you haven’t the person, drop the chase”

Ill try this out since blood lust actually harms me with my xbox. Thanks

Ill try this out then. Do you have any perks or tips on patrolling gens since sometimes I can't find a survivor after cutting a chase and just losing time overall. Sorry I know I'm bad and shouldn't rely on perks that much
