None of the others were on PlayStation, so I was unable to message them to see if they could see the issue or if I was moving normal to them.

This! I notice this on both sides but mostly on survivor. However, I noticed it tonight majorly while playing spirit! I thought they may have had Calm Spirit, but no screams when getting downed at all, and no form of injured sounds. (They only scream when getting hooked, and half of the time it didn't even work).
Tested it out with Spirit and it made part of the game a bit harder. (Can provide clips and images to help support this bug mention!!)

The first time I tried and got Meciless it didn't trigger and as some people pointed it seemed that maybe the addon colors could have something to do with it (I was using a Yellow and a yellow and a brown one at this attempt, also had a yellow offering).
Tried it again now with only green addons and also a green offering and got it. Could either have something to do with the colors as it seemed OR they have come to fix it by the time I tried again with green stuff only (not with the perks tho, these were 2 greens and 1 purple)
My first attempt was with two yellow addons (last night) and then I tried before I left for work this morning with a green and a brown addon. Still no luck though either way

Checking back the footage I had from last night, yes I did double pip that game.
Figured I just missed something but wasn't sure. Thank you!

Did you double pip? You need to have 2 pips for the trophy to be unlocked.
You can have Merciless killer but only one pip and the trophy won’t unlock

Can confirm this is true! I've got a recording if anyone needs to see it on my ps4! (Just went against a michael and dealt with this. We were honestly worried something was going on, but good to know it wasn't just us)
-
Happened to me as well! I was Iridescent on both sides (I want to say 3 on survivor and either 2 or 3 on killer) and I'm back to Ash IV but I've hardly seen anyone talk about this

UPDATE: We have deployed a tentative fix to Steam. This update will not affect crossplay. If this fix works well, we will be extending it to other platforms as soon as possible.
The team is currently investigating an issue which is causing extraordinarily long / infinite loading screens. Since this bug happens sporadically, we would greatly appreciate any info that you could provide that may aid us in our investigation. We’re on the lookout for any trends that may contribute to this bug happening.
If you have had an infinite or exceptionally long loading screen, we would appreciate if you could let us know the following:
- When the issue occurred (loading into a lobby, loading into a match, etc.)
- How the loading was initiated (e.g. accepting an invite, matchmaking, etc.)
If necessary, a member of the development team may reach out privately to request a log.
EDITING TO ADD - Can you advise if you are playing with Cross Platform on or off. Thank you.
Thank you for your assistance!
Playing on Steam and PS4.
Once the match begins to load, after the offering screen, the loading time is infinite.
Cross-Platform is turned on.
It took an hour last night to blue screen my Playstation because the loading screen froze my entire playstation (wouldn't even turn off). I've tried for almost three hours to find a game and I've only had infinite loading screens on both PC and PS4.

The infinite loading bug has completely destroyed console players ability to play the new event. This is insane BHVR, how does this keep happening? Console testing needs to be done more thoroughly to prevent this kind of terrible optimization issue from happening.
I got on at 6:30 tonight and it's currently 9. I've had infinite loading screens the entire night for both sides. Originally it was just killer. (I tried PS4 and then PC.)
Can't even enjoy the Halloween event. :/

I honestly heavily prefer just playing with randoms. Anytime I play with a TTV survivor and go back later to watch the game, they are super toxic, constantly criticising everyone for no apparent reason.
The killers might be even worse, as they typically are extremely sweaty. I went against Dowsey playing Nurse once, and safe to say it wasn’t a good time, especially since I was playing in solo queue. They just often end up being miserable experiences, which is why I didn’t really feel bad when SBMM made them wait in queues for hours. It’s just not enjoyable at all to go against either competitive level killers, or killers with so much time in the game that they defeat any solo queue team with ease.
TLDR I hate playing with streamers
As a TTV myself, even I hate going against other TTVs ( a lot of the time, but not all of the time). I've had some that I've gone against who talk garbage about me or my gameplay afterwards when I was just playing to have fun. There are TTVs I have met though that aren't the worst. Going against a TTV killer doesn't bother me, because they normally just move on after the game.
I more or so have an issue when playing killer, but I've noticed that even a lot of people that have TTV in their name don't have accounts (I usually try to stop by and give some love/ggs after every game if they are live).
My boyfriend is also a twitch streamer, but he doesn't have TTV in his name, and he just full on admitted that he's toxic.
I try to help TTVs not seem all bad. I've had rough games but I usually still try to be a kind and supportive individual

People A) don't like the fact that one of DbDs punching bags is punching back
B) Wraith feels really oppressive against mechanically poor survivors(yes, these people exist even in red ranks. Yes, I am one of these people.)
All it really takes is one Midwich game against a Wraith with All Seeing, starstruck, distressing, iron maiden and agitation to truly understand suffering.
I personally don't think Wraith is OP in the slightest but I can understand why he makes people salty despite his overall....whelmingness.
See, I can totally understand this! I'm a red rank survivor, though I wouldn't say I'm bad or good. It all depends on the killer and how I'm doing that day overall. Sometimes I'll have good games, and other days will be rough. I can definitely say that perks and addons as well as the map can change the result in the end (not including killer gameplay). It also depends on teammates, especially in the case of solo queue. As some who plays solo a lot, I see a lot of red ranks hiding constantly, so even with a killer playing poorly they could still make a complete 360 and get a 3/4k because of my teammates.
Now, don't get me even started on Midwich. Lmao. I don't mind the map per se, at least if I only get it once or twice a night, but sometimes I can just tell it'll be a rough game. :)

Because they’re not being sensible about being on gens, or the correct side of a gen, to see him coming. That super lunge only benefits Wraith if he’s managed to get the drop on a survivor.
I don't know about anyone else, but I've had people hide until they hear/see Wraith elsewhere on the map. I always try to make sure I'm at a decent point on a gen so I can keep an eye out for killers. It's a bit harder to see him on maps like coldwind just because of the lighting, because I try and listen for his growling noises if it ever comes to the point of not being able to hear him. (That's also just how I play though. Audio is a huge part for me to pay attention to more often with not having the best headset)

Pretty annoying for how easy he is to play. Some addons definitely need to be looked at. Silent bell, all seeing blood, and to an extent map wide bell are just not needed anymore.
Without spine chill he has no counterplay on plenty of maps. He just uncloaks behind a wall and unless you have sprint burst you take a hit because the lunge is so long. It’s not scary, it’s just no skills needed unavoidable damage.
I won’t even get into the “cloak at every pallet because the lunge goes around the entire loop and then instantly break them with shadow dance” builds.
I could totally see the addons being reworked, especially some of the ultra rare and very rare addons because those can be a bit annoying to go against. I feel like the uncommon aren't too bad, since they just slightly up the ability, but pre-rework I went against a few silent bell wraiths. I was forced to use SC for the longest time just because I went against quite a few. Eventually they just died out, so I was able to stop using the perk as often

He was quite the underdog and now he's quite the...dog, it's no surprise he'll spark controversy.
I enjoy him greatly now, but i don't mind if he needs more tweaks, in whichever direction they may be.
Just wanna keep his super-lunge, it's his main course.
Oh, and i'd prefer to not have any Add-ons "mandatory" ever again. *stares at Windstorms*
I will definitely say I've seen a whole lot of comments regarding Spirit, so Wraith controversy doesn't seem to be as bad. I usually Swift Hunt addons, though I've used Windstorm a few times when I've rough nights of playing in the past.

Wraith is like legion in the sense that they score free hits, but one is more lethal and harder to see coming while the other is legion. When i play wraith id rather play anyone else and against him i just sit on gens and drop pallets early
See, this I can totally understand. I've had teammates DC because they refuse to move after they get hit, just because of this.

@BingBongMan said:
He's fine, he isn't up there with nurse or Blight in how strong he is.
He still has the same counters as before. Plus he's always had that uncloaking speed boost, so I don't understand why people are being butthurt about it now.
Honestly, I don't know why either. I personally love going against him whenever I can (again, don't see very many people sadly). I've seen people talking about how they'll DC against a Wraith. And like, they're free to do whatever they want, but he's not the worst killer to go up against that's for sure.

I never got to know anyone even though i played with nice people.
I don't know about sending them a friend request, because most of the time I'm afraid it's not a mutual feeling for them, to be my friend.
I'm not a social butterfly and i know the mood when you don't want to meet people but play the game. so yeah, i always think that everyone is chilling and not looking for friends.
Share how you got to know people and became their friend 🙂
Ive actually made some really close friends that I hang out and game with. I even met my boyfriend (of almost 9 months) because of this game. I hate socializing, but I was able to meet some incredible people after having them as killer or vice versa! :)

@AmericanBadass said:
He need rework or buff.
Honestly, his balance is fine (coming from someone who plays both killer and survivor equally). It's more or so the performance issues with him physically. (Not power wise). I posted something earlier regarding this, but the game is unplayable going against him AND playing as him

Yup. Optimization is a huge issue that the devs seem hell-bent on ignoring.
Exactly! I have people that tell me to constantly to switch to PC, and "if" cross-progression comes out I probably will. However, this is all I can do right now. I spent over 3.4k hours in this game and I don't want to directly start over AGAIN to level up characters. Hoping one day we can get some good news for optimization.

Thanks for being fair and civil with your feedback.
And like, I completely understand people getting upset over this. But like, where is cursing people out and yelling going to get you? People are definitely welcome to share their thoughts and opinions on the game, but I personally would be less willing to read something being toxic or extremely harsh. There is a huge difference between sharing feedback and just being a jerk

highly confused by what this challenge means, i had a game where survivors snapped my traps and stepped in them and i reset the traps myself and had another survivor step in it but didn't finish the challenge am i doing something wrong how do you do it ? if it doesnt already it should count for traps they disarm
Managed to finish this challenge on the first attempt. Make sure you aren't picking up the trap when you go to reset it.
Step 1: Set Trap
Step 2: Survivor Steps In Trap
Step 3: Reset Trap On Ground (WITHOUT PICKING IT UP)
Step 4: Get a Survivor To Step In That Same Trap
TIP: Iridescent Stone works for this challenge! You don't have to personally reset the trap yourself. Just make sure not to pick it up.
Had a Feng step in a trap over a pallet, and the trap eventually opened back up on it's own with Iridescent Stone. Had a Dwight step into the trap later that match, thus allowing the challenge to be completed.
