You can't be serious
what side was it tilted toward then? (im not talking about the patch before graphic update, that was unbearable)
-
Yes, that happened to me too, i also would love to know. I think it was a cheater however, because one of the survivors wiggled out within 2-3 seconds out of my grasp without flip flop nor me dropping from elevations with boil over. Weird thing tho is that i couldnt hook on hooks on which survs were hook prior, the never-used hooks were normal. Towards the endgame it stopped happening and hooks were normal, but that could've been a cheater just turning it off if that's a thing.
-
Lethal has to be my most addictive perk, i cannot play without it, i'd say get it asap but if ur fine spending a buck on the game it comes with one of the most fun killers in the game. Surge works well on m1 kilelrs so it more depends if ur mains are like slinger, clown, doctor or more like nurse, bubba, huntress. That dlc also comes with a real fun killer and amazing surv perks.
-
Was there even need in another rework? I'd say on old patch it was pretty balanced
-
Im one of the few enjoyers of new haddonfield, old haddonfield was an automatic dc for me (and im not the kind of player to dc at all)
Now i even like it, im not a big fan of main building and i think they overdid it a little with safe pallets, but overall i am quite hapoy with the rework.
(I mostly play killer but i like haddonfield on both sides)
-
Stevie boy for survs coz i've never seen a sandbagging Stevie, they are always fun so i try to do the same. He's also my fav ST character.
For killers it would have been Nemmy, but recently i hit elo cieling and matches became too repetitive and difficult. So atm i enjoy Wesker most (bought him on sale just a few days ago)
-
Depends on what you are trying to get. If you want meta perks for killer - 1 set of dlcs, meta perks for survivor - 2nd set of dlcs, have as much variety as either role - go for licensed dlcs and buy original characters with iridescent shards. If you just want to have a killer with fun power - check on youtube what killers look most interesting to you

Here's an amazing video from coco, that helped me a lot with reporting. It's step by step and it also explains how to ban console players.

Yes killers should have a concede/surrender option. It would need to be conditional though so its not abused. Maybe 10 minutes after the match has started? Something like that.
As for the 10min timer that would practically make surrenderring not an option. Anytime i want to leave a match is because the first 3 gens fly within first 2 minutes of the match. 10 minute matches are actually a pretty long time for dbd, usually matches end before they reach that mark. If there was a surrender button it should instead be tied up to gens completed, not time
-
I think we shouldn't encourage giving up. I'm a killer main and yeah i get very often those matches that make me wanna leave immediately. But we shouldn't endorse and make it easier for players to just surrender. Instead we should punish survivors that kill themselves on hook and give them temporary bans, because they sabotage a game for 4 other ppl in the match.
They have a surrender button in smite, a 5v5 moba that has matches for around 40 minutes. Almost every match where you are not outright destroying the team 4 of your teammates will try to surrender as soon as 10min mark is reached. Surrender button sets up this - "if i dont win immediately id rather surrender and move to next match" mindset. This is a game with defeat and victory screens for a reason, let the victor enjoy their match for the entire length, even if it isn't you.

If you struggle with getting bps still, and would prefer to know what characters are best at getting farming - i suggest you check out otzdarva's video on how to farm bps best

Best build for BP from what i've seen is
Bubba w/ his addon that doesn't make his chainsaw instadown (can't remember the name but it gives 100% extra BP upon successful chainsaw hits)
BBQ (obviously)
Hex: Thrill of the hunt
Distressing
Any other perk you wish to increase win/kill rates (such as NOED or Hex: Ruin)
May not be the most interesting build but boy does it really give a ton of BP
It really doesn't, distressing, beat of the hunt and thrill of the hunt as well as any of the meme add-ons (for example the bubba one that you mentioned) won't go past the 8k bp cap that you can gain by simply doing a better job at that category. There is nothing really that increases base bp gain except for offerings and bbq.
Truth is, it's best to just play whatever is most fun to you. Best way to get more bps is to change your playstyle, not your perks. Just try to get as many hook stages as possible - 12 is the best and you should get 32k at the end of every match. Best perks to bring are either those that are fun to you, or gen regression so that you get more time in the match to get those 12 hooks.

I'm wondering what this special award is?
Very likely to be a unique portrait frame
-
Pwrsonally i do consider it toxic
-
Was surprised, that so far no one mentioned these
UB - unbreakable (Bill teachable)
AC auric cells
Iri - iridescent, red rarity item, add-on or offering
95 - reaching 95% of recovery rate while in dying state, where someone needs to heal you for last 5% to pick you up
Touch a gen - quickly start repairing a regressing gen for a very brief moment to stop it from regressing
Pop - pop goes the weasel (clown teachable)
Agi - agitation (trapper teachable)
Check for ruin - stop repairing a generator for about a second to see if it regresses in case killer has the perk hex: ruin
Vault build - resilience and spine chill combined in a build to make vaulting speed 15% faster, commonly paired with iron will and dead hard
W gamer - a survivor that instead of looping tiles just holds W key and makes constant distance
In case someone is very new - gg wp(s) good game well played, s - to say it to everyone

Flickbilly/ curvebilly
A hillbilly running onw or bothe of the engravings, increasing his soeed and allowing him to curve around pallets.
There is also a Skillbilly, that doesn't use m1 even on injured survivors sticking to chainsaw. And Milly, who uses melee where he can't get a chainsaw
-
If you don't mind people complaining about ur main - i think Nemmy is the most fun killer there is. Pyramid Head also has insane skill ceiling so it's fun to learn something every match. Then there are already mentioned Trickster and Demo

Why do you see going into a locker with DS as an insult? I see it as a killer who chooses to tunnel is also going to choose to waste even more time then. Have you considered just not tunneling? Or should there be no possible counter to what a killer does?
I don't tunnel, i like to go for the rescuer while also going in direction of the unhooked person to scare them off of gens in case they are on a safe loop, and if they are in a bad position - then get a free down for extra pressure on the ground without picking up. I see it as an insult because it looks like taunting, to me - even more than tea-bagging. This way i also am on a look out in case they heal themselves or touch a gen - this way i can punish them for letting me know they don't have ds.
On average in the game i do my best to evade tunneling and get maximum amount of hooks.

Tbh I wouldn't mind if it was a crest/emblem type of thing but i really would prefer they announce what the reward is so people can make the choice of losing their items & offerings to get the reward or to keep them if they feel it's not worth it. There's a bunch of ppl hurrying to P3 their characters thinking they'll get an exclusive cosmetic or a bunch of BPs to make up for it and they'll probably be disapointed (and mad at BHVR) when they realise it's neither of those things.
This.
-
I think this won't work, becuase myers already uses 3rd tier at the last moment to kill the survivor. He won't do it before vaulting or before damaging a gen

Yep I agree. I filled out the surveys and was hoping there would be more questions pertaining to circumstantial things happening. I do appreciate shorter surveys though for time sake.
Very good point

As some already mentioned, they're only giving the P3 distinct reward to those who actually prestiged because they actually had to deal with losing items/offerings/perks, then likely maxed out on top of that, whereas the ones who simply maxed out and spent the equivalent amount of bp even though they didn't prestige didn't do that. You actively chose not to prestige. People who did prestige chose to. So I agree, you should only get it if you actually prestiged and didn't think "prestiging was a waste of time," or whatever your reason for not prestiging.
People who didn't prestige but maxed out are still getting compensated. Your characters will still prestige automatically, likely to at least P3, and you will still have the perks unlocked at tier 3 for those characters. So you're not getting "punished" for choosing to not prestige, and are still getting some sort of compensation. Its that, people who DID prestige to 3 are getting rewarded. But again, those who didn't (by choice) aren't getting punished. But I'm seeing a lot of people phrase it that way. "Why are we being punished because we didn't prestige?" You mean, why aren't you getting the thing, for the thing you didn't do, that others did? I'm not taking a jab at anyone, I just don't understand the "everyone should get a trophy" mentality here, or why people don't understand why they're not getting the reward when they didn't prestige.
The distinct reward is likely going to be wack anyways. Thats the expectation I'm setting at least, since its not going to be another legacy variation or any other cosmetic, and they're choosing to be secretive about it. I mean, what else could it be aside from a banner that displays in the lobby? It COULD be something else, something cool, but I'm keeping expectations low.
And about the banner, i honestly would love that solution and would go through grind to separate myself from new killers that didn't go through old prestige system if it was the reward for it.

It's not really about being punished or not. It's the fact that we find out only now people will get rewarded for wasting their time and offerings prior to update. People didn't know there would be a reward so no one was P3ing. So yes, i wouldn't say it's fair. If you P3 a character you will get in 50 levels around 4 puddings and 1 bps, so if you burn your offerings right as you reached 50th lvl - you don't lose much. So now this is unfair for people that still had to go through the god awful system and level up 300 times to get purple BBQ on a killer, why are those people not getting compensated for spending so much time and bps on it? And since those people might've reached realitically 6th prestige to get perks now they will have to lose all the offerings and perks they grinded in order to P3 and get new distinct rewards. Because of that they would not get prestige compensated either so they will be P3 even tho they are P9.
I for example prestiged pyramid head to P2, because his P3 cosmetic looks exactly like default. Past that i leveled him up to 4 pages of purple perks. I would reaslitically be 5th or 6th prestige and rn i have 20 cakes (had 100 but i play him a lot). Which if i don't get rid of before update i will have to burn in order to get distinct reward.
My point is that P3ing a character doesn't lose that much bps and offerings and if you go for it right as you get to 50th level it really doesn't take that much from you. However now that we are told we get rewards for it it's unfair for people that without prestiging put all their bps into getting every perk. Those people will have to lose so much more grind in order to get P3 distinct rewards and that seems to me absolutely unfair. Those people still suffered from old teachables system and still lost time, effort and bps because of the system. So why are they getting not punished, as you say, but refused a well deserved compensation?

They've already said it is absolutely not a cosmetic reward in other posts on the forum and used language to downplay expectations - I'm guessing it'll be a BP reward per prestige level per character or something similarly nice but simple.
BPs are a currency, they already confirmed it will not be any sort of currency including bps, acs and iri shards

Yes, so they said what it's not going to be, but it doesn't really say how valuable it will be. Which bothers me quite, as I can't know if I should rush P3 a lot of characters or just up them the usual way by emptying them first.
I can recommend doing it the way i do. Focus on P3 licensed characters while getting rid of offerings on next priority characters.

Billy and bubba will just bonk them, as will plague
Yes, losing their whole power in chase, losing advantage over them. They become a simple m1 killer, against which good survivors with vault build and DH have no problems to chase for 15 minutes.
-
@Xord said:
I think it's important they communicate soon more details about that. It's important that we know because right now we know there will be rewards for P3, but we don't know what.
If it's like 100k bloodpoints, then I won't sacrifice offerings for that. If it's cosmetics, or shards, I probably will prioritize getting to P3.
But right now I'm unsure what's best to do with my bloodpoints.
They actually answered this question already in the Ask The Community tab: It only applies to P3 characters and not automatically prestiged characters.
They already said it's not a charm, cosmetic or currency, meaning it will probably be a newly introduced item.

I'll leave my question here for the sake of saving space, but is this reward also going to be obtainable for licensed killers and survivors?
Yes. Any character even Stranger Things

My main question is should I get to prestige 3 or unlock all the perks to get "auto-level'd" to p3? .
"The distinct reward will go to players who have P3'd their characters"
You have to get P3, but probably not P3 L50

Maybe I can't tell how good current Rat Liver is because it's old iteration is ingrained in my brain, but I can't feel the 3.5% boost.
Deer Lung reduces the amount of time needed to charge a fully charged Shred, which takes 1 second, by 30%, which means it gets reduced to 0.7 seconds, which is still longer than a short-Shred, which takes 0.65 seconds, and a short-Shred takes longer to charge than it took for old Deathslinger to aim
So it doesn't increase the speed of charging of the abyss itself, it speeds up only the distance charge up after of the abyss is useable?
-
UB can be annoying in only 2 scenarios - when it's used with DS to make survivor just invincible and when you take a gamble slugging and exactly that one time they have it even tho you usually don't slug.
DS is not annoying on it's own - it's annoying when someone tries to insult u with it when they go in the locker.
DH is finally getting recognized as an issue - even if it lost I-frames it would be best perk in the game, it should be even more complained about.
BT is fine overall as well, but it's feels so unfair when it gets combined with every other 2nd chance. 12 seconds are insane on their own, and yet you also get to use DS and teammate bodyblocks which don't matter due to how strong healing currently is.
DS BT UB DH combo is the purest cancer possible - making survivor invincible for half a match, and that's while there are 4 survivors that can bring it instead of 1. If those perks were used separately in combo with 3-non meta perks you wouldn't see anyone complain. But since there is no variety and their synergy is devastating everyone can't help but complain.

Rat Liver doesn't really do anything anymore, the speed increase is very small, so I'd say it's a buff more than anything.
I don't see that big of a problem with Deer Lung and Eleven's Soda, sure it makes Shred scary at close range and jungle gyms, but they're fine
I think 3.5% is very significant, I still feel a lot of difference when i play without it. And 30% faster charge speed will make Demo hit faster than aiming with old Deathslinger.
-
It definitely should refund everything you used even if you were the one to disconnect. If it didn't - it was a bug and you can report it
-
I think 5 seconds is way too little. What if killer closes hatch or opens gate? The Endgame collapse should be still lowered significantly. At least make it x2 shorter. Take notes from DBD Mobile.
-
@DaddyMyers_Mori said:
yeah... nope
Imagine being new player and getting killed by entity for no reason. Also healtech is a thing, sometimes you just need to be there to save your teammates.
If you have problem with it, just don't go there. You can't see it if you are not watching.
Yeah, and wait for 7 years until survivors leave to extend a losing match even further? I don't think so
-
I personally actually dislike that a lot. I don't mind prestiging, because i don't see absolutely any change in rarity with higher prestige. But if there was any inscrease to appearance of reds and purples i would only be discouraged. i dont want to spend extra 4k bps on a worthless offering ill never use or on red add-on that makes the game feel imbalanced. I prefer using green rarity and below.
-
Overall sounds like great suggestions. However I think the Rat Liver doesn't need a nerf and Deer Lung with Eleven's Soda are just too much, they would need to tone down a few notches
-
I am really hoping this is not going to be the only change they do to the perk. If dead hard was just a distance perk it would still remain the strongest perk in the game.
@DaddyMyers_Mori said:
so basically remove I-frames and have it like distance only?
it would probably still be used, but they are going to change all meta perks so it doesn't matter now.
-
That is a terrible suggestion, since that will make killers like Oni and Demo benefit greatly from it and killers like Hillbilly, Bubba, Plague have an insane disadvantage.
-
it also censors gg wps, boil over, toolbox or medkit, as well as many other perk names and in-game feature terms
-
I think Trickster is in a great spot where he is right now. He just needs his main event adjusted/buffed and a few addons tuned/reworked. However for now i would rather focus on killers that need reworking more such as Michael and Twins.
-
I'm not so sure it's accepted. I would personally finish the 7th match, wait if you get rewards in 48h and if not - then restart.
-
I'd say Haddonfield is definitely survivor sided, just not as much as it used to be. It's still a frustrating map to play on with extremely safe and isolated gens which are difficult to pressure, but i honestly have a lot of fun on it as killer.
-
Definitely Nea and 50/50 Ace. I swear half of Aces are legendary humble team players ready to die for others and other half they are the most toxic douches imaginable. Running killer for hours, clicking flashlight, bodyblocking and teabagging to it while also being toxic in endgame chat.
Mikaela and Meg are also kinda unpleasant
