from looking at the road map :
1 new environment, deco: insta free for all
2 guard, trap, weapon, custodian: playtime currency /paid
3 cosmetic? Paid
so point 2 is probably like dbd dlc(non collab), buy to get the character or pay with ingame currency
point 3 idk as we dont have so much cosmetics, probably some skins to the custodians that you can only get from paying
the Cosmetics paid will be like the deco pack that came out same day as released.

I maybe wrong on this but I believe that the wireframe sphere logo just means it’s everything but PS4 so it is pc and Xbox etc.
reason being is in other posts where pc have shared screen shots showing maps and such. They see the steam logo and the wireframe spheres

If everyone does this, it floods the game with outposts. If I have 5 outposts, then I need to be raiding at least 25 times a day to offset that. I highly doubt everyone else is doing the same. So when you get 1 raid every 24hrs like I just did on one of my outposts, that's why.
Ah gotcha.
-
Not sure how biowlink three would work or help. But what would be intresting is if you could interacted with the gavestones of players and see a holographic replay of like 2/4/6 secounds before their death. But I feel this would be just hard to program in.
-
I would recommend then just have 5 active outposts. This may help drain the synth quite quickly. There is also the pre buying outpost land that seems good just to have it ready for when you do want to build on it.
not sure though if this would change if it feels like it’s still too much. But I do believe more builder focused payers are happy with it.
-
I have seen to notice that the Xp is based on traps destroyed. Not on who is host. But I could be wrong on this.
also I check the looking for group posts on the official club of mym on Xbox almost daily. And if I see an intresting post then I join it.
sadly though when the game first released there was always like 4-5 post now there is rarely one :/

Since I created the thread I learned a few things:
- Apparently you can destroy the trap hidden behind those triangles with a sword.
- It's possible to somehow squeeze through triangles if we spam leaning left and right but it's hard
I still believe that devs should allow players to normally squeeze through it
Ya you would need to use the lunging sword since it has the distance it will make it easier. And not sure if it’s a glitch or an exploit but when you lunge, even if you get stuck it will make it as if you hit the trap even if you aren’t next to it. It still take the same amount of time though as if you did get to the trap
-
another thing they could do is simply a sort of leaderboard for each type of base. So most normal basses completed, most dangerous bases completed, and most brutal bases completed. Can be separated between co op and solo

Maybe my replays are bugged then, because it looks a lot of the time like they can just swing their sword the instant it would impact them and it breaks off.
Ya replays are glitchy. I have had it where they are looking down at the ground yet they shoot upwards to a trap

I believe when Sector 1: Dreadshore releases, we'll get more explosive traps. Don't forget, we also have Dead Switch mods for guards and self destruct mods for some traps.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/V0HGG620ZJUM/image.png
This makes me think we're going to have a sea mine.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/V9GFGIOUI7V0/image.png
But it could be a new custodian. Beneath the mine looks like a torso to me.
Ya that’s a custodian. You can even see the 03 on it. I am really hoping it’s a defensive based custodian
-
only Two things can make me “give up”
- I am taken out of the game for X factor. Such as crash, power outage, etc. and I can’t go back into the raid
- friend pops on and wants to play so back out to invite him so then we can both do the raid.
my apologies that this dose not really answer your question. I am just stubborn XD ya I try not to give up unless I am force to for any reason. Don’t want to give that “satisfaction” of the person thinking I rage quit or something. And don’t mind giving them the satisfaction of getting so many kills off me 😅
-
Something I have notice is they don’t have homing, they have predictive leading but not homing. Once that shot is in the air it will not change direction. But they do try to shoot where the raider will be or was

It's bad enough that some sweaties have watched some youtuber out there who told them "if you just keep walking, nothing will get you".
It's broken that they can do this with the Iron Claw too, since the whole reason it exists is to stop them from just walking away.
There's a gigantic claw made of pure iron embedded into their body from behind, and they just wave their sword at the empty space in front of them and it explodes and lets them go on their way.
They should, at minimum, have to turn around and shoot the base of the trap with the Volt Lancer to make it stop reeling them in. If they didn't bring an anti-trap ranged weapon with them, then they should have to wait until they're reeled in before they can destroy it.
Not just go "Wee Woo, Wee Woo, now I'm free" and keep walking away like nothing happened.
I was quite sure you had to be looking at the claw to break it off you with a sword. There is that Harvey sword that has a large swing radius so if you looking at just the right place you still hit the claw even if it is to your side. But not if it’s behind you.

Basically turns your plasma cube into a regular cube. For the life of me, I can't think of a practical purpose. You'll die if you stand on it for too long, but raiders are more likely to die falling into the cube instead of just being able to walk off it. Sometimes if you grapple onto it and hang on for a while you'll die but that is really inconsistent. Please someone make sense of this for me.
I used it for a base of mine. Basically there is a drop down. I noticed speed runners would simply just jump down the hole or people would mess up on a grapple and fall down, instead of going down the Harvey path.
I didn’t mind this, however I saw opportunity. I decided I would make it so if they go down there would be acid cubes. Issue though. Could not just make it one block or death would not happen. Two blocks would be 30 cap. And would just encourage people to go shield. So I instead used the harden mod. Total of 20 per cube instead of 30. I didn’t want to just make it safe ground people can walk on.
also can use it for preventing people from just grappling through the cube and into your base as a hole. As I have seen many bases where they have the subs exposed so you can skip the base and just go through the acid cube to enter the base

Weapon advisor Genmat
Prestige 1
Large base, 3 tombs all accessible and very obnoxiously loud during testing.
It's in active rotation.
Hope you get it, I'm looking forward to the replay.
also also, shoutout to Kirtan Stark (Crystal City) for the building inspiration
Edit ; Bring a gun, melee doesn't work ):
Why do you say melee dose not work?

Come on, this is a staple of FPS games. It would really come in handy for ceiling traps too. There has been more than one dungeon I've visited with tons of plasma traps on the ceiling. It would be so nice to blow them up with grenades!
pff, why use them like that. Instead during co op stick them on your partner so they can go on a suicidal breaker charge XD
I just realized that would be an intresting suit perk. Maybe only viable in co op, but one where when you die you explode destroy stuff in an X distance

I think the Raider toolkit, while technically able to handle any challenge, needs to be expanded so players can really express their playstyle.
My first idea is a lance. Why? Well we have two swords, and I think we can be a little more creative than that for melee weapons. So what does the lance do? I think it should have extreme lunge range with a long cooldown, they are supposedly very heavy. Armor break, trap break, no deflect.
Next is the disabler. This is a more defensive tool like the shield. The idea is that it tethers to a single trap and freezes its state until you either turn it off or break line of sight. Flamethrower hallway caught you off guard? Freeze that sucker before it turns on. Traps only.
Would a piston extending between you and the flamethrower be considered a break in line of sight?

I've come across a base like this. It was great. Not only did it have each trap type but it also would show the effective ranges along with mods. It had a "reset" button which was a plasma cube. I gave the base designer a handful of kills for being so cool.
What’s the name of the map or creator?

Noted, tho I was thinking about running it inside with multiple paths, maybe trick the warmonger path finding so that they dont all bunch up.
Definitely not using the hornets, the detection range of like 7 blocks kinda defeat the purpose ):
Appreciate the warning though, hope I get to play yours soon
Don’t worry about if it will end up being a “good” or “bad” outpost. As I feel you are going for a more fun sort of approach to this then a trying to turkey prevent players from stealing the genmat.
something you can try doing is make it where the patrolling and such dose not begin till a bit deep in the base. That way the players would have to go a long distance to get to the entrance. Can’t really give advice on the bunching up though.
if you really wanting make it very stealth like have moments where the player could sneak up and back stab the guards. You can even try being a bit more creative and have moments where the guards stop and “talk” to each other having conversations.
could also just trying making this concept without the blood lust perk other then for the alarm phase.
the other thing is, you can just try going for a social raid build. Make it where you don’t have to be restricted by the HRV path. Though if you do end up making this base I’d really like to know the name and difficulty so I could keep an eye out for it if you make it active and If you make it social then to be able to search it in social
-
I have come to realize they suddenly appear later on or on a later date. Sometimes.
-
Not completely false advertising.
you can very much make these bases, but only put them in social.
but ya it is a bit misleading.

I've been to a lot of raids where I wish I could communicate my thought a bit more in depth than "Fun,Brutal, ingenious, artistic" to the builder.
So I was wondering, how about the ability to leave a short comment alongside your accolade.
"Nice work, keep going"
"Fix the lava hole beside the GenMat"
"Please don't block tombs"
"Loved your traps, can't believe I fell for that"
Now I'm very obviously aware that 90% of the comments are gonna be more along the lines of "Ur trash, Great another killbox, u exploit abuser, get a life"
But I just wanted your thought, am I the only one who wish I could congratulate the builders after running a good raid?
Ya definitely think it would be interesting, something that could help stifle the toxicity is you can choose if you want comments open on a raid, or even have it where you “block” comments from a specific user. So you don’t block them from doing your raids but keep them from being able to comment on them.
AND YES I wish there was a sort of accolade system a builder can use on raiders. Like I always wanted to be able to show how like it’s great that they persisted through or things like that.
-
That’s an awsome concept

Base remains in the pool until you get done with it yourself or Refresh manually.
I don't think there's an automatic refresh.
I must be doing something wrong, cause have had it where I see the base I think it’s cool. But then I realize “oh need to upgrade something” go to an advisor and come back, there is a new pool. Or I raid and when I finish raiding the pool is completely diffrent. Even had one time where I opened up the command center, left it, went to get a snack, came back and the pool was different
is this not supposed to be happening? I am genuinely asking. Like is there curtain things that make the pools aromatic refresh or are bases not supposed to be replaced until after you complete them or abandon them after trying them? Also I am on Xbox. Not sure if that changes anything
-
As much as I would love it for you to be able to play with more friends raising a base. It would really take away from bases being a challenge. I think just two is balanced enough

Idk I only mentioned it cause there is a meme thread that was made there. Hense why I said “might” wasn’t sure and such.
-
As much as I love the idea of normal blocks being free. It will probably harm balancing of bases. People would be free to make loooooong pathways towards the genmat making it a very time consuming raid. It would probably end up making basses become too complex in a negative way.
again I love the idea to have them free to make really creative and complex bases in a sense. But I do feel it could be abused in a very unfun way

Personally I run with the Volt Lancer and either the Arc Barrier or Plasmabow. The Plasmabow won't destroy traps but it'll reveal Holocubes, and it has more than enough ammo to waste.
I do wish BHVR would improve their graphics so the textures would stop flickering. It's really annoying. I'm considering turning the game off after this weekend and not playing it until they start fixing this stuff, there are too many things that are just broken.
Could this be a pc thing as I haven’t exprinced this issue yet on Xbox. Or maybe I have but I don’t realize it

Might want to move this to community creations but also great meme

I propose that traps activate faster, at this moment anyone who can hold forward can outrun majority of traps in majority of situations just by holding down forward.
Do you think traps should activate faster to help end the speed running menace?
Or shall the quick and ballsy keep running rampant in your outposts.
Could you add an option to the voting be “yes but implemented as a mod of some sort.
cause as of right now I feel trap activations are balanced to be fair. But to ad a challenging aspect to them there could be a balanced mod for the traps that decreases activation time. Or where if raider is going x speed trap activated instantly(or faster) but if trap is going below x speed, trap dose not activate at all. If player is lunging towards trap, that speed dose not trigger instant activation and such.
-
@Kontayes said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/Meet-Your-Maker/discussion/comment/3400416#Comment_3400416
This, right here. Just make a decent enough outpost to get maybe 20 kills per 12 hours, which is very simple with a ramp and dead mans. Then it pays for itself. I know when my friend and I play and we both die 6 to 9 times each, that outposts just got a 12-18 kill replay, that's beautiful to come home too. So I feel what needs to happen is to decrease trap activation time by like .1 -.2 seconds so people can't just blitz through maps faster then they can activate that's what pisses me off the most.
I feel there could be a mod that is implemented that makes it so traps active instantly if a grapple is being used in their range. Or activate faster if the person is walking fast through them. But can be counted with if the person walks really slow they don’t get triggerd

Ya I find it funny and amusing but it makes sense XP. Let’s be honest we all get a little on edge. I have gotten really good at noticing the holographic effect and or well, if you notice with a sword your cross hair becomes red. So I just take a slow approach when I am suspicious. I think people find it faster to just shoot and hope they also destroy the trap behind

To clarify I mean this mod would introduce the possibility of that well camouflaged option everywhere in an outpost. When raiding it's great to see different trap combinations, but making a mod that forgoes that element by being extremely flexible creates a "this mod fits all" option. In my mind that's adding to the problem more so than helping encourage variety.
They could add it where “if this mod is used then x mod isn’t compatible with it” sort of take

Most likely been that.
Someone played but didn't finish or had it in his pool, and after a week or so decided to play it.
The replay probably shows old traps as well.
Ya as mentioned here, I have seen replays of my map being played at prestige level 5 when right now it is at 8/9. So I think it is where the base just isn’t refreshed or updated for them.
also though I have noticed that bases refresh a lot for me without me refreshing them. If you don’t play them do they aromatic refresh and or if the game “crashes” (lost power while raiding a base) dose that raid get removed from the pool? Is there a way to lock down bases you want to try since at times there are many bases I want to do but can only choice one.

It's not about "I cant beat them", as Ive stated before, I can definitely handle them, though it does require a loadout that I hate using.
The issue is people purposely abusing a bug in the game to create unfair situations for the player; and in many cases, it is abused to farm new players in lower difficulties.
It's lame, it's scummy, I am tired of seeing it.
I respect this. Btw do you have to use the arc barrier. Are you able to use the load out you like and use the consumable shield?
-

I've felt like playing a bit today. (Just raiding, until they guarantee visits to an outpost I'm not investing a minute on that.)
No less than two outposts had a way to kill Harvey instantly at the start.
That's a new low.
Naturally I've reported the outposts (I feel that's an exploit that's not mean to happen) and blocked the builders.
I find it okay to do this, cruel, but perfectly fine strategy if they made a maze outpost. While people can make surprisingly efficient mazes with HRV still showing the way. I think one can become much more creative and have there traps spread all around the maze instead of just having dead ends, with not having to worry about people just following HRV to the genmat and ignoring all other paths. The genmat still has a viable path to it. There is no cheating or making it an impossible or unbeatable outpost. Time consuming, yes. But a much more intresting challenge then death boxes and feels more like a test on one will and mind then one’s reflexes and Brute force in a sense.

@artokarsus said:
I'm not saying that it's crucial to let players steal resources or genMat from each other, i just want to have way stronger motivation to raid tough bases. I don't want to spend 40+ minutes to raid tough base for the same reward that I can get from easy base.
Maybe the option to P00 in the corner will be enough :)
Problem of Killboxes could be solved by introducing something like "density points" that you spend when placing traps too close.
And there a lot things that could help balance stealing. For example - the more you dying during raid - the less treasures you steal. And it could be some specific fame points that are not affecting main game progress.
Ya I just mention that part as something not to do. As for your other points they may have some worth to it if they are more suited to fit the game. I was just stating no on the stealing and how that shouldn’t be implemented as a style of it is already well done in the game. All other things you mentioned could work out if adjusted to better work for this game
-
You can make it a social outpost for people to raid it for fun. But ya it no longer gives resources
-
If they do add a boss fight sort of thing. It would be smart to make it where the players gain a health bar themselves when the boss fight triggers. And only stays for the boss fight. Also if the boss can’t hit or reach the players but can be seen/shot by the players it becomes immune in a sense.
And what I mean by It not able to hit the players I mean it can’t do an attack. Like the players are out of range
-
I have been wanting something ther where you can have traps activate after the player passes them. Like it wound activate till other traps activate bechse if they try to back away or escape that trap they now have to deal with the other trap. And currently you can’t set that up Becuse the backup trap will trigger before they go into the other traps.
-
I just don’t make corrosive cubes secound wave to try and not unintentionally do the exploit. Though I guess I am getting lucky enough to not encounter bases like this or just didn’t realize it

Anyone talking about meta that doesn't mention the Volt lance doesn't know what they're talking about.
Sword and board is popular because it's fun, but it's honestly kinda weak with how many meta threats beat it.
It's almost impossible to get more than one kill against a quick yet careful volt lance user.
Well that makes me happy no know. Though also then it also shows how really all the weapons of masters can out preform the others and such or that there isn’t really a meta load out

Loving the game so far, my only complaint would be that coop raiding is overtuned. It's too easy to essentially one shot a base by having one guy stand back and let his teammate trigger all the traps, then swoop in for a quick res after he dies. Perhaps the number of revives could be reduced, or healing time increased so healing under enemy fire is less viable.
Nothing wrong with people completing an outpost. You don’t get punished for someone completing your outpost. If one guy is just going in getting killed over and over and over and the friend just reviving, that you getting kills that might otherwise not have happened.
-
No problem
