I went from a rank 6 Survivor to a rank 8, then got moved back to a rank 9 with the rank reset and am, at present, teetering on the edge of rank 10. It's very frustrating to me, as I value my rank. Ranking up is impossible. Look at this. What is going on??

If you're feeling isolated, try to remember that you're never alone. Even your one friend who you still feel you can talk to is somebody. His presence in your life means you have someone you can talk to, and I'd highly recommend reaching out to him about how you've been feeling. If you don't feel comfortable with that, as other users have suggested, websites exist with people whose job it is to help you. Don't let anyone trivialize what you're going through just because you're young. Mental health is important, and no matter how old you are, you deserve to be listened to if you're struggling.
In time, you'll be amazed at how small things such as grades and school friends are. The fact is, those people aren't your friends. If they were worth having around, they'd be making more of an effort to stay close to you. If you do end up switching schools, view it as an opportunity to start over and make new friends.
Also, grades don't reflect intelligence. Please remember that. A column of number grades doesn't determine how smart you are. Even if you flunk, there's always an option. Your school counselors should work with you to figure out the best course of action for you. It's what they're being paid to do, so be sure to seek out their help.
The last advice I can give is to recommend finding a distraction, whether it's a video game, new music or a new hobby. Find something that sparks happiness. Music in particular can be cathartic. There's millions of songs out there to discover. Find one that gives you that rush and listen to it on repeat. Whatever it takes to lift your spirits.
I hope in the time since you posted this, your situation has gotten at least a little better. Live each day with all your might.

I tunneled the rank 14 Claudette in the swf out of the match, because if I hadn't, it would have been an easy game over. With two gens left and three survivors left, I ended up with a 4k. I apologized for tunneling Claud, but they understood where I was coming from as far as map pressure and structure of the game was involved. Sometimes, but rarely, tunneling, camping, proxying, etc. is necessary. That doesn't mean every red rank killer plays every game that way.

The Oni's theme is powerful and epic, and the Blight's theme is so somber it's almost beautiful. I like Blight's best of all, but Legion, Demogorgon, Doctor, and Plague are also brilliant.

My opinion on this changes weekly. Imo the most handsome male survivor is Adam, with Felix as a close second. Jeff is pretty, too, and I have a newfound appreciation for Ash. So one of those guys.
As for girls... all of them are pretty in different ways. Elodie is gorgeous, Cheryl is beautiful, Jane is stunning... I think Yui is the hottest.

BTW, out of everyone on this list, I want to see Annie Wilkes in the game most of all. Her body count is second to none, and the idea of her is horrifying.

Seeing as they murder people, I don't think any of them would fall under "good".
- Lawful Neutral: Plague, Cannibal, Wraith
- Lawful neutral applies to killers who believe they're doing the right thing, or at least had a sense of morals at one point in life.
- True Neutral: Hillbilly, Twins, Demogorgon
- True neutrals don't know any better/were treated poorly.
- Chaotic Neutral: Huntress, Hag, Pig, Spirit, Blight
- Chaotic neutral applies to characters who don't know any better or were corrupted into killing, however they're conscious of the harm they cause.
- Lawful Evil: Oni, Deathslinger, Executioner
- Lawful evils believe their killings are justified and kill in the name of justice, vengeance, etc.
- Neutral Evil: Trapper, Nightmare, Shape, Nurse
- They're just evil.
- Chaotic Evil: Legion, Clown, Doctor, Ghostface
- These killers are both chaotic and evil.
- Lawful Neutral: Plague, Cannibal, Wraith

That's true about the tomes; history is subjective, and everyone's perspective is different. If that's what the writers were going for, that's pretty clever.

That's true, the tome cinematic indicates that Joey + Susie didn't participate whatsoever, while Julie stabbed after Frank. But, as their backstory states, all four took turns stabbing the janitor and Joey was the second to do it, not Julie.
Unfortunately, I feel the latter might be true (lack of fact checking), but I'll give the writers the benefit of the doubt and go with variance between universes.

Okay... based on sound effects alone, Frank/Joey of the Legion is the hottest. However, that neck tattoo on Frank is rancid, and thus automatically disqualifies him. So for guys I'm gonna have to go with either Ghostface or Doctor.
Hottest female killer is Adiris without a doubt. Skemooo's render of her before she got the plague is all the proof you need. I'm all for the Susie hype but she's canonically under 18, so keep that in mind...

My favorite map is definitely Lery's Memorial. The atmosphere is the best thing about it, but the layout of the map itself is second to none. I also love Haddonfield and Midwich.
As for least favorite, I am sick and tired of ending up in Autohaven. It's ugly and bland. It was one of the earliest maps and believe me, it shows.

Hey, I understand you may be gone for good, but I think it's worth saying that you aren't alone. Lots of players share your disillusionment with the game, but they aren't the people who are most vocal in the chat.
DBD is rife with hateful, angry people who take their rage out by playing. The best you can do is keep chat minimized so you can't see their messages, and don't engage. I know it's hard, but it's the best thing you can do if you decide to reinstall the game.
As for things that can't be so easily thwarted, such as t-bagging and taunting, bear in mind that being an ######### in DBD is probably the highlight of their day. That doesn't mean that it isn't infuriating, but it takes some of the edge off, at least for me.
Don't let them take away something you enjoy; you can't let them have that power over you.

A few months ago, I was introduced to the game via the mobile version. During this time, I encountered two kind Legions over the course of about a week.
In the first instance, I was the last survivor alive, and had been downed. I stayed still, fully expecting the Legion to hook me and rightfully claim their 4k. Finally, they picked me up, only to drop me on the hatch. Not only was that the first merciful Legion I'd ever dealt with, it was the first merciful killer I'd ever dealt with, period.
The second time was different. This other Legion decided they liked me from the beginning. Idk what I did to earn their approval, but they approached a gen I was working on with another survivor and just... let me do it as the other player split. From there, they followed me around, supervising me, occasionally leaving to attack other players. When the gates opened, everyone else either dipped or had died, but I lingered to run around and spin with my new friend. Eventually, I did have to go, because they weren't planning on killing me, so I escaped through hatch. I had no way of thanking them, as it was on mobile, but they made my day that day.
After these experiences, I couldn't understand why everyone hated the Legion. I have since made the switch to PC, and... yeah, it makes sense now. Since making the transition, I have had a couple nice times, i.e. benign killers who were just there to farm bp. In a recent match against the Twins, the Victor ran up to me while I was on hook and ran around, which was pretty funny.

I'm going to regurgitate what everyone else is saying and go with Freddy... but also Pyramid Head.
They annoy me for the same reason: both have too many unique abilities (that goes double for Freddy).
The majority of Nightmares I've faced seem relatively new, which makes for an easy escape, but their lack of experience doesn't distract from how annoying his abilities are. Between having to run across the map to the alarm clock after going into dream mode and the blood pools... it's always a pain.
As for PH, it could go either way. The ones I go against are either brand new, or very very experienced w/ a cool skin.

I have yet to explore the updated version of The Game, so I'll take your word for it. However, I was very impressed with the updates to Crotus Prenn. I especially liked the new Disturbed Ward with the greenhouse and garden. Definitely an improvement imo.

I agree. Players should feel free to interpret characters however they want, including their sexualities/identities. After all, they're our avatars. We're allowed to draw our own conclusions about them. By leaving the sexualities of the characters unspecified, the lore allows you to do so.
