  • So I ran into an interesting theory, perhaps one that already circulated and I'm just late to the party but I still find it extremely fascinating. The Unknown has some interesting voice lines, ones that don't fully make sense and were assumed to be remnents of the people taken by the Unknown. There's an interesting idea at play that these voice lines teased the future chapters that came out aft

  • So recently I saw a thread describing a combo involving Houndmaster, Thrill of the hunt and the add-on Fatty Meat. Basically when running this combo, it makes it impossible to actually cleanse totems. Thrill of the hunt increases the cleansing speed by roughly 70% per token which means cleansing takes forever. Fatty Meat makes survivors scream periodically every 15 seconds when afflicted by hou

  • Since there seems to be little attention on the matter, I wanted to make a post for the Houndmaster once more for another assessment on how strong she is, or at least how fun. I'm actually having a fairly decent time playing her. Getting around the bugs, Snug works way better than I intitially thought and I'm hitting shots I never thought I would be able to hit. Through windows and curving him

  • So after playing Houndmaster for a better part of the day, I can say that she certainly isn't D tier and she is far better than Skull Merchant. When Snug works, he works. You can down survivors fairly quickly, especially when you land both bites. Stbfl is also working really well with her knotted rope add-on despite it's nerf. I've also found that Snug can acrually be launched very quickly which

  • I've noticed that the latest chapter doesn't have any hype centered about it. At all. The mechanics and everything else is pretty cool, but there was kinda no hype. It was boom, ptb, enjoy and here's a trailer revealing everything. We had absolutely no indication, no teaser or anything. Only people closely following knew that there was going to be a chapter, but still no idea what. It gives the

  • Going into the second 2v8 interation, one of the biggest concerns was que times. The hope was that by adding more killers, it would not only add variety, but make que times a little less brutal since one killer or two killers wouldn't be so dominant. Survivors also got some really cool class abilities that make the game far more engaging. Aside from that, I'm not sure what else could've really

  • So I'm running a shaman build on Nemisis, and it's proven fairly fruitful and quite fun but the latest game yet was crazy. Three of my hexes were right next to each other, and by gens. The first to get taken out along with the one at the back the map, but I make it devour 3 and secure a bit if value. However, the totem that's litteraly touching the gen, never gets broken and it's Ruin. I'm also

  • As the perk currently describes, after kicking a generator it becomes compromised. When that generator pops, the killer gains 10% haste and undetectable for 60 seconds. It's certainly a very powerful affect for the killer to have 10% haste, especially on killers who are 110% movement speed. However, it is not currently considered meta or broken so I'm wondering if its underrated as a perk in it

  • Over the long years of Dead by Daylight, there as very often been many playstyles, perks and killers that have created interesting scenarios that have either been condemned or praised. That brings up the question of incentive vs punishments. Should players be given an incentive to play in a more healthy, fun way or should be punished for engaging in unfun gameplay? Which has worked better in

  • After his update, Nemesis has been doing very well as of late, many if his previous issues, mainly being a terrible early game, being resolved for the most part. However, the survivor side of things aren't as happy with the changes and I've seen quite a few claiming that Nemesis is now too oppressive in chase and/or has become a boring killer. Recently as well, I've had several people DC while

  • Lately I've been getting into Pig a lot more, and I've running a simple gen regression chase build with Pop, Ruin, Spirit Fury and Enduring. It's effective and I'm also running bag of gears and the other green add-on that gives 1 trap but increases the timer by 10 seconds. I want to go for more head pops, as unlikely as they are in most games. I do want to avoid the scream build as it seems mor

  • I've been seeing some Hex: Pimento builds going around lately and they all had one flaw. They all try to get five stacks of Pimento to get the build to work to it's maximum value, but generally these games are already over when that happens. Either it took to long to get five stacks and the gens are essentially done, or one survivor dies mid game and the Pimento stacks just become overkill. The

  • This is probably radical and most likely a useless concept when applied to most killers, but I think it could lead to interesting anf fun results. The concept would be to optionally sacrifice a perk slot in exchange for equipping a third add-on.

  • It's an extremely awesome skin, and I don't think there any reason to run anything different, however I need to know. Similar to Yui's three tailed fox skins, Spirits mew skin put her at a visual disadvantage or is she somewhat the same in terms of looping? I mainly play killer so I don't really know what she looks like from the survivors point of view.

  • So I've been playing this game for a pretty long time now and I have specifically mained killer majority of the time with little survivor experience. Recently I started playing survivor again soley for more fragment shards to complete the rift. My experience was different than what I expected and I wanted to compare that to other people's experiences. Obviously I'm playing in the lower mmr brac

  • So after the very recent, roughly 40 minutes ago bug fix, one of the notes talked about the hinder on Nemesis Tentacle strike being fixed. Before, after the buffs, the hinder value was lower than intended so it did nothing to change the distance gained after a survivor was hit. With the bug fix, the hinder value was increased to what it's suppose to be, but licker tongue was nerved to 1 second

  • I've hopped back on to Trickster and have noticed three issues regarding his animations and power. I am on Xbox and these issues have so far occurred in every game. When opening a locker on any map, his left hand does not correctly show the blade fanning animation. When kicking a generator, the second hit is delayed in animation which feels disruptive to the flow of gameplay. Lastly, when t

  • I know skins are unrelated to gameplay, and I know that skins shouldn't dictate which killers receive balance related/kit related changes. However, some of the most hated killers in the game have awesome skins. Skull Merchent is the exception. Knight and Legion have some of the best looking skins in the game, but both are regarded as terrible to play as and against. Especially against. Knight w

  • Not insanely big, but just very slightly. Everyone knows why, everyone who has played against and as the Trapper. When placed at a pallet, window or at other intervals, survivors are able to squeeze past, even if it seems like they shouldn't be able too. There is of course concerns when bringing this up. Removing the skill from Trapper or making the hitbox too big that it shuts down pathways it

  • I'm talking a match so bad and dismal that it's borderline hilarious. One or three things went wrong and the game turned into anything but fair. Either on the survivor side, killer side, you or the other team. I'm betting and hoping that quite a few people have an interesting experience to share.

  • After the recent release of both Vecna and Dracula, it's somewhat safe to conclude that these jack of all trade killers are a dismal failure for they are a master of none. To clarify, this is mostly directed at Dracula as Venca is quite unique in his own right, but still suffers from the same issue. The concept behind The Dark Lord was to create a killer that tranform freely between several for

  • As the title states, I'm asking for everyone's favorite killer that they simply can't play. To elaborate, you love the aesthetic, the premis behind their power and every animation they have. They are your ideal killer that is just so freaking awesome! But...their gameplay sucks or they're boring. Maybe they're mechanically unappealing or too difficult to learn. You know that if you go into a ga

  • I wanted to know if anyone else has felt really good with using Nemesis's buffed tentacle strike. It's only a 0.5m range buff, but it feels nutty to hit people at the distances I have been. However, I am not a Nemesis main and I wanted to ask if it's always been this way or is the .5 distance actually a big difference?

  • First of all, all I hear is Alucard from Hellsing and I love it. Secondly, I've been playing quite a few matches and I'm honestly still kinda torn on if Dracula is strong or weak. On the one hand, his wolf form is actually useful now and can be used in chased and his hellfire piller is actually fairly forgiving. The distance and hit box make it very easy to use, but it has issues going over certa

  • As the title states, I'm asking what players want that would be new to the game. What I want to focus on, however, is ideas that are possible within the current state of the game and are within the developers capabilities. This could also include expanding on things already in the game that could have more potential than initially realized, but this doesn't mean bringing up old mechanics that

  • I have to say that I am excited. I've enjoyed the franchise since the very first game and I do deeply appreciate the game for it is. Fnaf is horror and it's hard to say otherwise. The lore is extremely disturbing and what I'm hoping is that Behaviors interpretation reflects that horror. Steele Wool and Scott have shown how much they clearly value Fnaf, especially when it comes to appeasing the

  • So when looking at certain killer weapons, most noticeably the Doctors, they are of varying lengths. Doctor has several weapons that are longer or shorter, and then noticeably longer when compared to other killers of the same size. Obviously these weapon variations don't affect the lunge distance, but its still weird when visibly it doesn't match up.

  • I wasn't quite sure how to put this in fewer words, but I wanted to know why there is so few individual unique interactions/restrictions between specific perks and killer powers. The reason this is being brought up is because in the past certain perks were given specific nerfs and restrictions due to certain killers being able to exploit that perk. However, this perk change affected all killers

  • Singularity upon release and after was a rarely played killer because his macro gameplay and skill cieling was insanely high with the returning value being extremely low. That being said, the few players who mastered Hux were monsters, including the infamous Chess Singularity. However, he still remained absent from most players games. • As the title says. Singularity buffs are here so what's the verdict from all the rare Singularity mains, survivors and players now using him for the first time?
1 comments 51 views last activity
  • I was extremely excited to see Singularity get some buffs in the ptb, giving me the itch to play so I waited. I waited. Why? Because playing Singularity is a miserable experience and I wanted to wait till the update to play but that hasn't happened yet. I grew impatient, played a game and remembered why I don't play him anymore. The effort needed to make him even remotely work far surpasses any

  • So very recently in the Q&A, the devs confirmed that Myers is on the list for a major rework, at the very least a serious overall to his power. Currently The Shape, as the ability called Evil Within which allows him to stalk survivors to go up from tier 1 - tier 2 and lastly tier 3. In tier 1 he has no terror radius but moves at a reduced speed with a reduced lunge. After moving to tier 2,

  • Just slight curiosity coming from a killer main that tries their best to not tunnel. Up to the point of completely ignoring someome that was unhooked even if no one else is around. Yet I still get the 4k so the question I'm asking is if survivors still find blame somewhere? Slugging never happened. Maybe the perks I'm running or the particular or perhaps the killer? Perhaps it naturally just fa

  • After watching Nightmare on Elm Street again, I wanted to share an idea that I got. Freddy is at his strongest within the dream world, that's obvious, yet what we have now in the game doesn't really reflect that. You don't feel like you're playing Freddy, most of the mechanics of his power being passive. His chase power is so so, being a trap power that's inferior to similar powers like Hags tr

  • So I played Pyramid Head after like a really long time and it went pretty well and I had fun. Issue is that I know the moment I start playing another match with him anf climb that mmr, it's going to go very poorly for me. The primary issue being is that Pyramid Head has very bad add-ons and very poor perk synergy since his cages don't trigger hook related perks. I've taken fancy to I'm All Ears

  • As we all know, when Dead by Daylight started out, the asymmetrical horror genre was in its infancy with no popular titles to its name. Nothing that stood out to make the genre pop. Then came along dbd which in a stroke of luck, completely dominated the genre andis the first game to make the asymmetrical horror genre popular. Once it got Halloween as a chapter, there was no stopping them and ther

  • A good while ago I use to play the game pretty avidly and I'd like to think I was pretty good as killer, able to dominate most matches, albeit of course struggling against coordinated swf. However, I've been much more of a casual player as of late, and while the obvious answer is that I'm just rusty, why does the game seem so much more demanding? Or maybe more glaringly annoying? If I'm not p

  • They're not good. I remember before when thr portraits carried weight and were a simple picture of the character face like a police file. Now they look silly. The killers portraits look like silly cartoons characters and honestly show too much. They're non-threatening and have lost the eerie feel that game is suppose to have.

  • So recently Nowhere to Hide was kill switched due to a bug/exploit with the Onryo, so why can't they just make it so that the perk is disabled only with Onryo? Like only Onryo can't use the perk but every other killer can since there's no issue with the perk and other killers.

  • There are quite a few killers in this game that have the potential to at the very least be quite good, but it's that they're held back by their own add-ons. They're held back by terrible add-ons that do nothing to enhance their gameplay in meaningful ways. Many of their add-ons are just are number changes in the wrong places, or they're just gimmick add-ons that are niche and useless. Then there

  • When I say weird, I mean more specifically the version of Chucky that went into the fog combined with his skins plus Tiffany. The Chucky we have in game is intended to be specifically the Chucky from Child's play 2 right after he has a box of good guy's dropped on him. First thing, his weapon. In Child's play 2, I do believe he was weilding his signature voodoo knife and not a kitchen knife.

  • With Friends till the end I have decided to make an obsession/oblivious based build with Chucky and the idea is to mainly revolve around his height. Obviously Friends till the end, Dark Devotion, Nemesis, and Furitive Chase. Unfortunately you are without gen regression of course and this build revolves around chasing the obsession most of the game though friends till the end does make that ea

  • After using Friends till the end, I noticed that the obsession bounces around...a lot, and Furtive chase is also a perk that bounces around the obsession...a lot. Friends till the end always tells you the location of the obsession, and they become exposed and if you hook the obsession, you get 18% haste from furtive chase and the new obsession screams. Rinse and repeat success. In theory

The Tiffany skin is just as awesome though I did wish she had just as many voice lines as Chucky though maybe I was just a little unlucky and didn't get many prompts. Though at the same time not for the sake of increasing auric cell prices on outfits. It would be good for the game and make killers even more aesthetically unique without any

  • So of you're unaware, essentially what this perk does is that whenever a survivor enters the dying state, all other survivors within a certain range are hindered. A lot. Essentially they might as well be walking regardless if they're running. It's especially good on killers who can quickly close the distance and have one shots like Oni, Nurse, Blight, Spirit, Hillbilly, Mastermind and Canniba

To first start with Myers, he starts in tier 1 which he has no terror radius or bloodstain, but he's significantly slower than most killers. Myers can stalk survivors to reach tier 2 which makes Myers normal 115% movement speed but with a smaller base terror radius at 16

  • There have always been killers who underperform within the game but Myers is at least top three. He's hardly changed at all since his first release except maybe some number tweaks and an add-on pass. That's it. Myers has never seen any significant change and I want to know why. Do the license holders have to somehow agree with any changes or something to his power? Compared to other killers h
