Recently I discussed how to measure survivor and killer skill against each other and how you can know, if you played better than your opponent or vice versa with a friend. This really made me realise how hard that actually is in DBD's case. For survivors there is skill in looping (obviously), decisions throughout the match, coordination (in solo and in SWF), hitting great skill checks, positioni3 comments 211 views last activity

In my opinion the Sadako changes are kind of contradictive. It seems like they want condemnation to be more of a slow down mechanic, rather than one used for extra lethality. But really that doesn't work out when survivors become immune to condemnation as long as they have a tape. Since they no longer build up passive condemned stacks, with this change tapes basically become Sadako's EMPs. You ar7 comments 341 views last activity

I'm not sure, if this is a bug, so please excuse me if I post this in the wrong section. While playing a game of Freddy I ran into an issue with him that I have encountered quite a few times in the past. For some reason there are areas on many maps that are so incredibly dark you basically can't see anything. In the picture above I see a lot of black, a1 comments 31 views last activity

After trying it multiple times I eventually got the archive to work and got a build that consisted of Leverage, Infectious Fright, No Way Out and (I believe) Discordance. That's a pretty coold build actually. One that I usually wouldn't run because I'm just not that creative when it comes to builds. I missed Shadowborn, so I had to play a bit different than I normally would but it was still super7 comments 111 views last activity

So, it has been well established that it doesn't work for a lot of people. That wouldn't be quite as bad if there weren't limited time cosmetics locked behind these challenges. I tried it 4 times and it never worked. It's kind of infuriating that they didn't fix it in today's patch (or at least did something). Has anyone found a way to fix this yet? Billy really wants a new hammer.7 comments 181 views last activity

On the PTB I could't really test the map thoroughly because it made me sick and I got a headache when playing on it. That issue is gone now with the color intensity reduced. Thank you, BHVR! I really appreciate that. However, after playing on it a few times I noticed that scratch marks are still very hard to track and the visual clutter is off the charts. The map looks stunning but from a gamepl1 comments 31 views last activity

Not sure why but these past couple of days I've had so many good vibes in this game. I've had a lot of wholesome interactions in end game chat and some really fun matches. So, shoutout to all you positive people out there and know that there are players, who appreciate you! You keep this game fun and enjoyable. Thank you and have a good day!4 comments 111 views last activity

Can we please get some word from the devs? Is something like this in the works, do you even consider it and if not, why? I appreciate the visual TR as much as the next person but really it gets tedious looking through a Pringles can while playing killer. Apart from that, there are players that can't play killer without using Shadowborn because of motion sickness and while this doesn't affect me38 comments 1,442 views last activity

I just came out of a game on Eyrie of Crows (played on PC) in which I found some kind of invisible hitbox on stairs above basement in main building: Pressing the "W" key here sent me to slide of an object and towards the right side until I would slip off the stairs. I tried it multiple times from different angles but the issue still remained. I also fou2 comments 101 views last activity

I've been playing a lot of soloQ for the last couple of days and I can honestly say I never had a better time playing survivor. I mostly get very competent team mates and the killers I face are more or less the same. It just feels way better than it used to. Also, there seem to be way less hook suicides and dcs than before the patch. I don't run any items or map offerings (mainly for the same re33 comments 981 views last activity

I have no idea what BHVR did but something is off. Way off. My matches have been absolutely ridiculous today. I'm currently trying for Artist's adapt. I have played her maybe 10-15 times (including 6 today), I know that I'm incredibly bad with her and have lost (4 escapes) all my matches today and if I remember correctly I only got 2 kills in total with her but the game still decides to pair me14 comments 411 views last activity

This is undoubtedly a mid-chapter update to remember. There are a lot of changes for both survivors and killers and it's hard to say how exactly this will impact the game overall. There are some changes I think are very good, others that I'm not too happy about and then there is Billy. The good: A lot of perks are being looked at. CoB, Overcharge and Pain Res will disappear from the meta. Al6 comments 131 views last activity

Is it just me, or are Billy's changes one of the worst decisions BHVR made in a long time? This literally increases his camping capabilities while nerfing his chase power and map mobility. Wasn't the overheat introduced to limit his camping ability in the first place? And yet, they make such a dumb decision. This is the exact opposite of should have happened. More overheat when camping, less ov3 comments 41 views last activity

We got a new chapter with a weak killer that is neither fun to play as or against for most people. Perks that are on whole new level of bad or Blood Rush, which is a thing for itself. It's insanely strong and can only be countered by tunneling. Can't see how that might backfire. 3 maps that look great but are pretty uhm... Difficult to play on as killer and then there's the nerfs to scream perks4 comments 161 views last activity

Peanits wanted to see some more discussions about DH, so here we go. A large part of the community is tired of playing around Dead Hard in every game in a majority of chases. You don't need me to explain why waiting behind a survivor sucks. We've done that for 6 years and we've seen the same hollow arguments for why DH should not be changed. In the end all defenses for DH come down to: It's hard15 comments 332 views last activity

It's pretty clear that a large part of this community is not happy with the Skull Merchant and the Knight. There are different reasons why many people dislike these 2 killers. For one, neither of them is particularly strong and both have a strength in defending 3 gens. That is something that, I personally think, makes a killer boring and extremely tedious to play against. I just played a few matches as Nemesis. I used no perks and addons because I really want to learn how to play this killer to the absolute best. Whenever I try to learn a new killer I will play as nice as possible. I don't camp, I don't tunnel, I don't slug for longer than 10 seconds. I understand that playing like this will cost me a majority of matches and I'm fine with that. What I don't under30 comments 601 views last activity

PC: When playing a game of Nemesis on Pale Rose I happened to stumble upon this picture. At first glance nothing seemed off. That was until I noticed that the zombie actually couldn't leave the Pale Rose this way: Instead of leaving, the zombie spasmed around wildly. Eventually the survivors noticed this is we0 comments 62 views last activity

In theory, the Hillbilly has everything a killer could ask for. Map mobility and a power with a high skill ceiling, that allows him to end chases quickly and can be used in creative ways. The issues lie in his inability to play around certain loop shapes (mostly squares and circles) with his power, many random objects blocking his way on most maps making it much harder to traverse them, windows a0 comments 152 views last activity

It took 6 years for this perk to finally get a nerf with the big meta shake up in patch 6.1.0. That patch pushed Ruin and Pop out of the meta as well as some other perks. BHVR nuked Ruin and Pop so hard they're arguable pretty weak right now. Yes, you can get value out of them but both are too weak to even be worth a perk slot when there are so many better alternatives, which is why killers use d48 comments 1,232 views last activity

I've played this game for 2 years now and I was never really fond of slowdown. My survivor matches felt awful going against it and as a killer I've always enjoyed the chase more than anything and brought aura perks or gimmicky builds instead. These past few days however my win rate dropped dramatically. In the last 10 games I got exactly 7 kills with an average game time of 6 minutes. Did the sur8 comments 241 views last activity

Midwich can spawn a literal hook dead zone. I reckon this happens because there is technically a hook nearby on the second floor but a survivor lying in the middle of a first floor corridor cut off from the garden can with some unlucky hook rotations be impossible to hook.0 comments 11 views last activity

Last game I saw something weird. I tried to break this little wall with the Hillbilly's chainsaw but it didn't work. Looking closely you'll find I bumped into something. Wondering what that could be I looked around: There is nothing blocking my path so I should be able to get this. I tried it from different angl0 comments 21 views last activity

There are a number of bugs in the game, some older, some newer, that really need to be fixed soon. I appreciate new content and balance changes as much as the next guy but Twins are still unplayable (at least killswitch them already!), there are some random hook dead zones on the new Eyrie of Crows, a problem with gens spawning in very close proximity (much closer than they would normally, see RP0 comments 1 views last activity

I just played a match as the Twins. In this game at first everything looked normal. Later on, however, I changed back from Victor to Charlotte after walking with him for quite a while. Instead of Charlotte's FOV slowly rising it stayed on the ground and also this happened: Also I could not use M1 but I still got the weapon cooldown without animation. Does anyone know exactly how this catch up mechanic BHVR introduced works? I read somewhere that you should get 2 bonus prestige levels on every character you had on level 50 or something like that but that does not match my prestiges at all. I'm a bit confused.4 comments 61 views last activity

With the start of the year I picked up Hillbilly and I've learned and done quite a few curves and tricks since. For example I absolutely love when I can curve into shack from one of the entrances and hit the survivor at the window, they never expect that. What are some of your favorite curves and tricks to do as a Hillbilly? Feel free to brag about your proudest moments.0 comments 1 views last activity

With the upcoming changes a lot of things will get adjusted, including the grind. I'm very happy about that, but there is one little thing that still bothers me: BP offerings and the math behind them. Besides the offerings that reward players with a set percentage of their total BP earned in a game, right now we have 3 offerings in different rarities for every single category, that don't real2 comments 21 views last activity
